Vertical Position of Bullets

Hi --
Is there anyway to control the vertical positioning of bullet
images in a
<ul>? The reason I ask is that on this page:

the bullet image
displays next to the first line of text in each <li> in
FF but in the middle
of the overall <li> in IE. My CSS for this was reused
pretty much vertatim
from this page (
http://www.bloomgroup.com/insights.htm)
which doesn't have
the problem.
Does anyone know how I can get the bullet images to display
next to the
first line of each <li>?

You could try it with a background image instead of
'list-style-image'.
Then you can place it somewhere near the left top corner of
the list
item.

Then you rotate it and SAVE or SAVE AS and it will remain that way.

It is more work than using a script (was linked to in post #4 in the other thread).

If I consult my website in vertical position, it's ok but, If I turn my tablet, all the hyperlinks and all general visualization are wrong.
How I can properly handle both views?

My MacBook Pro top cover flips open partially when kept in a vertical position.

The top cover of my MBP; brought in Sept 2012, flips open when kept in a verticla position. Like when you place it in a laptop bag. The local Apple service center was not of much help. Have attached a snap of the MBP in the vertical position showing the top cover flip open. Can someone be of some help

I think you are going to have to restore as new. Deleting that MobileSync backup folder may have caused the problem. When you delete the backup from iTunes like I was asking about, you are only deleting one particular backup. If you have multiple iDevices - all of the backups would be in that one folder - I think that's how it works.

Can pivot capable monitors be used in vertical position with Tiger OS?

I'm a writer and want to purchase an LCD monitor with pivot cabability, so I can use it in the vertical position to see an entire page. I know that pivot monitors come with software to enable viewing in the vertical position for Windows PC's, but is this posible for a Mac running Tiger OS?

Some displays do rotation entirely within the display. For example a display would tell the computer it's 1600 x 1024 when horizontal, but would say it's 1024 x 1600 when vertical. You may have to use the "Detect Displays" button for the computer to see the change.

Dah-Veed, this is not entirely true. Going back to the early 2009 models maybe, but 2011 models are the exact dimensions of the 2010 models. That being said, it is a valid point they could topple if not careful. I was planning on using a mount or stand like the NuStand Alloy model. They appear sturdy and look good to boot.

My ipad 2 screen is frozen / locked in vertical position how do I fix that?

My ipad 2 screen is locked into vertical position and I have tried shutting it off and checking the lock rotation nothing so far has worked. It does have a lock at the top of screen. Help!!!

Double tap the home button and swipe all the way the right in the task bar at the bottom - see if the lock icon is in the far left corner of the task bar. If so - tap it to unlock the rotation.
Or check the side side switch above the volume control on the right side of the iPad.

If those don't work - try a reset.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Control horizontal and Vertical position of a line ..

Hello,
triying to fulfill the requirments on the diagramm of a dashboard, i need to control the vertical and horizontal position of a Line (for example). depending on a calculated formula the line should be 10 mm from Top and 10mm from left (for example).
Do anybody have an idea how realize it .. ?

If there is just two positions: just make two lines and flip the visibility.
If there are multiple positions: make a line chart. Do not show the markers and remove all further stuff (no mouseovers, axes gone, backgrounds gone etcetera) and just add a series. Now change either the scale of the axes according to your distance thresholds or change the value of the datapoints.

Initial vertical positioning in JFrame

In my frame(using GridBagLayout) I have several components, out of which some are not visible in the beginning. The problem is that the components that are visible in the beginning are positioned in the center of the screen, and when the rest of the components become visible, those components change position according to the space taken by the "new" components. So I would like the components' position to be initially static.

ViewStack's TabBar: vertical position icon and description

Hello everyone,
I created a ViewStack with two tabs and I quote, in addition to the description, even an icon. The code is as follows:

You can determine the position of the icon, or do I create a custom component for use in ViewStack Canvas?

This was for mx:ButtonBar (because I apparently didn't read your question very closely), but it should also work for MX TabBar with a bit of tweaking (like extending Tab instead of ButtonBarButton):
