Vertical resizing in Table control

Hi,
I am using 2 table controls in a screen . I have marked vertical resizing in attributes of the screen. but it is not allowing for vertical scroll. i have checked out in all screen attributes . Please help me with this issue.

in the PBO include these lines
<tabctrlname> is the name of the table control placed on the screen.
it_tabctrl is the internal table data that is being passed to the table control.
describe table it_tabctrl lines N.
<tabctrlname>-lines = N.

It should be created automatically, if you can't see it, try to set the field lines of table control

Vertical scrolling in table control

Hi Friends,
How to enable the vertical scroll bar in the table control. I my form, this is not working, but horizontal scroll bar is working.
Kindly guide me to get the vertical scroll bar working.

Hi,
Let us say table control name is TC1. You have to assign a value to TC1-lines in PBO event in a module.
try this. Determine the number of records in your internal table.
describe table itab lines gv_lines.
TC1-lines = gv_lines.

Vertical bar in table control

HELLO ALL,
I AM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH VERTICAL BAR IN MODULE POOL PROGRAM FOR A TABLE CONTROL.
WHEN I TRIED WITH WIZARD ITS WORK FINE BUT WHEN I CREATE MANUALLY, FIRST OF ALL IT DOESN'T GIVE ME ANY VERTICAL BAR.
Pls do let me know if i need to anything to get vertical bar so that i can insert any number of lines in my table control

When you will fill the entries till the bottom , scroll will appear .

Problem with Vertical scroll in table control

Dear All,
I am facing a problem with table control in module pool program. currently it displays 6 lines, but it does not display the vertical scroll button, even though when I fill data in the six rows and hit enter.
I have set the vertical scroll option on the table control properties also.
Can someone help me by sending some sample code?

HI Amit ,
If you have already selected the properties of vertical and horizontal scroll bar then no other operations needed .. if the number of rows increases then that of the table control , you will automatically see the Vertical scroll in your table control ..
if still you dont see it then write back ..

In Screen Painter (SE51), we created a Table control program. It's working fine but we want that User cann't able to scroll Vertically.
In Table Control Properties, there is a option for Fix Column. From here, we can fix the columns but we want to Fix the Rows.

In the PBO of the subscreen. Assign some value to the tablecontrol-lines field as below;
Describe table itab_for_tablecontrol lines tablecontrol-lines.
OR
Tablecontrol_lines = 10.

Dynamically resizing table control

Hi all,
I have designed a table control in the screen. in that, I have fixed the number of columns (7) using Fixed coulmns option in the screen painter. But, when the user selects an option (radio button) in the screen, I will hide two columns of the table control. So, now I want to resize the table control i.e. reduce the horizontal width of the table control.
How can I achieve this?

Suppose your screen is 9000
Now in PBO define a module set_attr_table and handle
handle it via your button -
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
MODULE status_9000.
MODULE set_attr_table.
LOOP AT t_lips3 INTO w_lips3_ds WITH CONTROL
           t_inbd CURSOR t_inbd-top_line.
ENDLOOP.
Where if you have already defined
CONTROLS: t_inbd       TYPE TABLEVIEW USING SCREEN '9000'.
t_lips3 is the table you are using to display records from.
In the module set_attr_table try to change the the table control dynamically -
DATA: w_ls_cer_inbd_ds LIKE LINE OF t_inbd-cols.
Try to modify the column attributes dynamically by modifying the screen table contents
LOOP AT t_inbd-cols INTO w_ls_cer_inbd_ds.
      IF sy-tabix = 5 or sy-tabix = 6.
        w_ls_cer_inbd_ds-invisible = 1.
        MODIFY t_inbd-cols FROM w_ls_cer_inbd_ds TRANSPORTING invisible.
      ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
Say column 5 and 6 you want to change.

Problem with looping table control in PAI

Hi,
I have a table control which displays 10 records at a time. In PAI it is looping only these 10 records even though itab has more than 10. I need to do some validations on all the records. How to overcome this prob.

c if u want to do validationsdo it on the internal table before passing it to the table control..
Secondly in a table control if its size on the screen is for displaying 4 records only den it will display on 4 while running even though ur table has 10 records...
So in SE41 drag and increase the size for table control...den it will display all records..
And if u dont want dis..den write the code for vertical scroll in table control..
Get back to me in case u want 2 do dat..

How to control manually the scrolling of Table Control?

I have one selection screen which takes me to the next screen (Screen 2) having a table control.In this screen I have some buttons like display, change etc ,by clicking on which it goes to the third screen.Now my problem is even when I try to vertically scroll this table control it is taking me to the third screen which I do not want to happen. Could anyone please help me in this.

Remove vertical scroll bar from table control

i had used table control in my application. i want remove vertical scroll bar from table control.
At initial time in table control there is no vertical scroll bar. In my table control lines are dependent on internal table which i was used to fill it.
i was used these code for to set table control lines.
DESCRIBE TABLE IT_RISK_ZINRISEXC LINES EXC_LINE.
TC_RISK_EX-LINES = EXC_LINE .
Initially there is no data in internal table so there is no vertical scroll bar. After getting value i am filling internal table. and there is scroll bar in my table control. but i does not want that.
i was not selected RESIZING-VERTICAL OR -HORIZONTAL.

From Scroll Bars in Table Control
You can remove the scroll bar in the table control by switching off horizontal and vertical scrolling in the properties of the table control. The properties can be accessed from the screen painter by double clicking on the table control. Regarding the page up and page down functions, I believe you add those buttons in the screen layout and code for them. You can use the standard function code for the page up and page down functions.
or
You can get rid of the vertical scroll bars by not setting table control lines. This way the user can only see the visible lines of the table control. As for the horizontal scrollbar, just make sure that your table control doesn't contain too many fields.

i have my table control which can show 14 entries at a time. and i have almost 100 entries in table control.
now if i selected 2 entries in the visible part.
now scroll vertically.
again come back to see the selected records now they are unselected.
please respond soon.

STEP 1: Create an internal table with field for selection in table.
STEP 2: Assign the selection field in the table control for the line selection.
STEP 3: Now whenever the line is selected, the selection field will have a field 'X'.
STEP 4: In PAI Modify the table fields those are selected with 'X'.
STEP 5: Set a flag in PAI, flag = 'X'.
STEP 6: In PBO set a condition .         " We set a flag so that we fetch the data only once.
If flag NE 'X'.

Disable Vertical scroll but enable Page down in Table control for BDC

Hello All
In my 4.6C sysem , i had enabled Scroll bar in table control by populating TABC-lines = <No of records>...Then when i try to capture the BDC recording of this , then the scrolling event is not captured in BDC , as we all know.....
So i put few buttons on the application bar as NEXT PAGE, NEXT LINE , PREV PAGE n PREV LINE...and i did the scrolling by writing the code manually in PAI...and that is getting captured in BDC so my problem is partially solved...
Now as u see..i have default working Scroll bar on my T.C..also i have my buttons on the application bar....i want to get rid of the vertical scrolling....so now i am NOT populating the TABC-lines field...But as soon as i do this , my buttons stopped also working...Any idea how to get rid of this ?
In short when i don't write : TABC-lines = no_of_records .....to remove vertical scroling.......my manual scrolling mechanism also getting disabled..
Is it possible to remove only vertical scrolling ?
