Very Annoying EXPORT problems
The first time i installed Lightroom, all the things went well, but i don't know why, one day i tried to export a photo and it appeared one of those common errors with "Send Error Report/Don't Send Error Report".
I can't do anything besides the preset export settings. I installed windows again, and the first thing i did besides installing the correct drivers for my pc, was to install Lightroom. I tried all versions of Lightroom, including Lightroom 2 Beta. I don't know why it worked once, and after a while it didn't work. If it never worked i could have said that my pc is a mess, and i need a new one, but why did it work at that time? (i tried to go back with all the installations i made since it worked, but nothing).
I really need help, because it's a very annoying problem.

Have you tried to repair permissions using Disk Utility, and trashed GB's ".plist" and ".cs" files, then restarted the computer?
And about the looping, just do it in GB and avoid all this mess. LOL!

Very annoying music problem with slideshow
I have been trying the whole afternoon to solve a perplexing problem when trying to set up a slideshow:
Initial problem:
When selecting one or more songs, using various methods such as directly selecting the song, using a playlist from iTunes or a "custom playlist" in iPhoto slideshow music settings, iPhoto for no apparent reason when previewing, simply restarts a song before it or the slideshow have finished. This is despite choosing the "Fit to music" option in settings.

Second much more irritating problem:
I thought I'd see what would happen if I exported it. I selected two songs, and combined those songs using all the methods listed above as well as actually creating a new iLife preview song file in garageband and even exporting the two songs into a combined .mp3 file again with garage file. I must stress that when played in Garageband, in iTunes and even with iPhoto's music preview, the two songs play perfectly one after the other with no problems. However, no matter what method or indeed file combination I use, when exporting, iPhoto causes the first song to restart a few seconds after the second one has begun resulting in them playing at the same time which as you can imagine is pretty frikking annoying and basically makes it impossible to present such a slideshow. At first I thought it was "selecting" the first song to replay but it does this even with a single .mp3 which must appear to it to be only one song, so it appears that it simply restarts the track from the beginning at a random place in the slideshow, while continuing to play the track already playing.
Anyone else experience this - I have yet to try the delete, write to CD and re-import option but this seems like a ridiculous and unacceptable thing to have to do to get something so simple to work.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
ThanksTry deleting the iPhoto caches in the your User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder and the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder. Reboot and try exporting again.
I'm able to export a slideshow with 3 songs without any issues except that there are long gaps between songs. Lots of dead air due to the fade out and in of the tracks.
Question: Do you have the Quicktime Player 7 installed? It's an option with Snow Leopard installation. Also when the slideshow is being exported which icon do you see in the Dock, the older Quicktime Player 7 icon or the newer QT Player 10 icon.
For several reasons I've removed the QT 10 Player and use the 7 exclusively. It have more features and, IMO, does a better job at most everything. What I'm getting at is that if the QT 10 player is exporting the slideshow that may be the problem.
If you have QT 7 then zip the QT 10 player and delete the unzipped application. Then try an export to see if you have better luck. A long shot but might work.

I have an application that is almost entirely rich forms. Now
that IE requires users to "click to activate the control" this
whole application is a little annoying to navigate. I read this

I'm having random mail problems that are quite strange. If I have an E-Mail waiting on my account, when I start Apple mail, it will get the message but the little wheel will just keep turning and then I can't quit mail. I have to do a force quit. Then if I start mail, the same message comes through again and it repeats the cycle. I've tried various things and I've even got rid of all mail preferences and the mail folder and started from scratch and when it tried to create an account, it does the same thing. The funny thing about it is that if I delete the messages on the server and start mail. Any further message will arrive correctly and mail doesn't go into this "loop" and all will be well until the next time I start up mail and there a message waiting to download.
This thing is driving me up the wall as it seems almost to be a random thing. There are some interesting messages in the console log though that may help. First off, I don't think this problem even started until I installed Safari 4, then, I updated to Safari 4.0.1 today but it didn't help the problem.
Here's the message I'm getting in the console logs.

These are the processes that I have gone through so far:
--Used Terminal to turn off Mail's auto function for checking for new mail, so that it is check to manual checking. (The reason I had to go through Terminal to accomplish this was my Mail settings were set to check automatically ever minute. After force quitting 10+ times and restarting Mail and trying to get to the preferences and switch to manual checking before Mail started the auto process of checking. I could not beat it in time. LOL <very frustrating> Problem that I encountered, which seems similar to the both of you is that mail would begin the checking new mail process and then I would get the spinning grey gears next to every email account I had in Mail. It just looped and eventually I would have to Force Quit Mail.
I ran disk permission repairs and keychain first aid. No apparent problems. I removed a couple of 3rd party bundles from user/library/Mail/bundles and /library/Mail/bundles as suggesting in one of Apple's tech documents.
Still no signs issues rbeing resolved. According to another Apple doc, if you have startup disks from 10.5.7 onwards, you can re-install certain Apple applications without having to reinstall the entire operating system. Mail is one of those Apple applications and I just purchased a new MAcBook Pro which did indeed have 10.5.7 discs.....so I re-installed Mail. No resolve of issues.
The next step I took was one which I learned from an Apple support call a couple of years ago with a similar mail issue. The tech had me set-up a new user account on the same machine and begin re-adding mail accounts in Mail in the new-user account. I imported the mail messages from the non-working Mail application in original user account. I was able to import folders from old account into the newly created account's folders. Basically I didn't loose any mail. I did not copy over any of the various preferences files associated with Mail. (files ending in .plist)
So this is where i am now. I am going to do some research regarding any library, pref files etc. that are associated with the Mail. I plan on trashing all those files in my original user account and all data/message files which have already been imported into the new user account.
My next step will be the transfer the entire Mail folder located at newuser/library/Mail to the original user account in the same location. I will also be replacing any of the pref files mentioned above that I find which are Mail related. With fingers crossed, hopefully Mail will be working fine, just as it now in my newuser account. Wish me luck.
I'll log back on later to let you know the results. It's a very time consuming process. <sigh> -
Dreamweaver will not let me FTP to the root directory of my site but allows me to read and write to any subdirectory. The reason, according to the FTP log is outlined below:

Even though I'm trying to upload a file to the root for some reason DW is trying to change directory to '/images'. This folder is a symlink (and is picked up by DW) and I'm using passive mode:

This folder is cloaked on the remote server and does not exist on my local machine so I've no idea why DW is trying to access this folder. Permissions are fine and I can FTP to the root directory using the command line and the same FTP account without issue:

It's driving me mad because I'm using Subversion (which works fine) and every time I need to commit a change to live in the root directory I have to revert to the command line.
So, why is DW doing this and more importantly how can I stop it from trying to CWD to '/images', which is effectively killing the FTP process?Thanks for your suggestions Ken.
I've tried setting up the site definition again, yes and I've also tried putting '/' in the root directory. I've also tried putting the literal '/path/to/site' in the directory but as I suspected doing this means DW won't even connect via FTP as it's trying to navigate to 'path/to/site/path/to/site' because my FTP user's home directory is already '/path/to/site'.
I've just got this sneaking suspicion that DW is detecting the /images directory and it's trying to index it despite me cloaking it on the remote server. If I can get it to stop trying to do that then the problem should be solved. I just don't know how! -
VERY Annoying AppleTalk Problem
My sister and I own iBooks and we share files via our Airport. I will have connected with her (her Public folder is on my Desktop) and I'll be doing stuff in iTunes, iPhoto etc. Then all the sudden she'll close the lid on her laptop (even though I've told her not to without telling me) and my Finder will crash...beach ball and everything. If I wait 3-5 minutes the "connected was disrupted" dialog comes up and if I click disconnect I'm fine. But this is awfully annoying. Anyway to stop it?

I am still having problems with my internal speakers. I have a G5 imac running Tiger 10.4.3 and have tried a couple of solutions already.
When I boot up and for anything between 15 and 30 minutes afterwards the sound preference defaults to NAME 'digital out' PORT 'built in audio'
This means i get no sound through the built in speakers until it decides to revert back to the setting whereby I can hear stuff. When I go to sound preferences there is no option to alter this. I have to wait for the computer to do it itself...
I've never used exteral speakers and have no idea why it's statred doing this.
It's driving me mad. I've tried verifying and reparing the HD both from the computer and by restarting from the install disk. the install disk says there were no problems to repair...
can anyone help or am i just going to have to send the computer back to apple to get it fixed...
This is before i get onto my airport express which is currently lying on the floor unused as it won't work either....

ThanksWhat they are asking if when you place it to your face are you making sure you are placing phone against your face to make sure you are coving the sensor located next to the mic, this is what tells phone you have it to your gace and power off screen, if you hold it wrong it wont power off screen like designed..
Test the sensot by making a call and place finger over lift area next to notificarion light and see if the screen turns off when covered and on when not, this should be automatic.... If this doesnt work then I would say you have a bad proximeter sensor and you need to contact CS...
One more thing to check is the Settings / Audio / Flip for Speaker option, maybe try turning this off by unchecking this option. -

I am very annoyed at the Creative Cloud set up and the non-stop issues and problems! I am paying monthly for this service and it is constantly failing in some way! So far in three months I have had to uninstall and re-install Photoshop THREE times because it stopped working properly and Illustrator I have had to do that same to TWICE! That isn't including the other apps that have had issues! I don't have the time to constantly be un-installing and re-installing all or some of the Creative Cloud because your developers are not making a product that works consistently for the money you are charging! It is costing me more than just this monthly fee! And I am even less impressed with the fact that I cannot email someone for assistance in resolving these issues. Really Adobe?

I updated to iOS 8 on my iPhone 5 yesterday and now when I press the home button even once, it opens the app switcher (which is supposed to only open after pressing the home button twice quickly). Sometimes pressing the home button once even brings up the assistive button (which for me should take three button presses). This did not happen before I updated my software. Has anyone else had this issue? Know how to stop it? Very annoying and at this point feel like I should have waited before I did the update.
Hello ..do you have a history on the phone? did you get it wet? was it dropped? have you been using an authentic ORIGINAL apple charging cable?
this problem occurs when there is a short circuit in the phone... you most likely got it wet at some point and maybe didnt even realize it? The moisture in the phone hasb probablly oxidized one or several capacitors, integrated chips thereby short circuiting the phone. that is why he phone is acting erratic because these short circuits inadvertently "activates" other circuits.. eventually the phone will not turn on anymore- the heat will stress the citcuit board and you will have discontinuity along your main power lines and the phone will cease to function..i see this alllll the time in our shop
the fact you upgraded to ios6 will even work the phone harder because its a more powerful operating system taking full advantage of the A4 chip.. -
I bought a new MacBook Pro several months ago. I keep losing my wireless connection (my wife, sitting several feet from me has no problem with her iPad2). I find the quickest fix ix to turn Airport off and back on. Very annoying. Suggestions please?
What kind of wireless router are you using? more importantly which protocol are you connecting with? Are you and wife connecting using the 2.4Ghz band? or do you have a dual band router that offers the 5GHZ band? Are you both connecting vie 802.11 a/b/g or n?
The best thing to do is to go into SYSTEM PREFERENCES and select NETWORK, then select AIRPORT and click on the ADVANCED button.
Under the AirPort tab you should delete all the preferred networks and only add back in your network with the proper security settings and passwords.
If you hold down the option key on your keyboard while clicking on the airport icon at the top on your macbook pro. you'll seesome data that will tell you what band and mode you're connecting at, as well as in an indication of signal strength (RSSI) if you write down and post back that information it'll tell us what's going on. -
I have recently upgraded to Lion and iCloud. There are two very annoying quirks that i don't know how to fix:
1-When working with word, documents or emails in the middle of a sequence the picture or window suddenly is yanked off the screen to the right. More often than not it can't be retrieved. This happens often
2-In the same mode as in #1 above the print size will suddenly increase maybe by a factor of 3x or 4x. it happens spontaneously.
3-There are many other problems with the upgrade:
-With sequence emails the secondary emails are not printed. When one tries to open those emails it often fails.
-The new address book format is crap. it is very difficult to go from single listings to group listings and back.
It's obviousto me the Apple software designers are not users.

Microsoft Word? What version and service pack?
Microsoft Office 2011 SP2 includes Word version 14.2.2. Some Office 2011 updates addressed problems with Lion. -
I have similar problem, but mine doesn't sound like a loose screw, more like the battery or vibration component is loose. When I shake the phone left to right abit I can feel that it's around the top area. Very annoying, besides that it works fine. Gonna go to apple tomorrow maybe to ask.

I have a very annoying problem that occurs since 1-2 years. Now I want to get finally rid of this.
I bought the app "AllSport GPS" via BlackBerry App World in 2010. After the uninstallation of this app due to new devices one or two years ago I have the following problem:
On each (!) update of my list in the BlackBerry World app or after the reset and reload of the content of installed app I receive 1-5 (different amount) of mails with the following content:

This is VERY annoying! I also informed the publisher of the app (Trimble Outdoors) but they told me to contact BlackBerry. During the last 1-2 years - because I often refresh and look after new updates for my apps (I have many installed on my device) - I received, no fake, hundreds (!) of this annoying mails!
I bought the app with my older 9700 or 9790. In the meantime, on my Bold 9790, the app is not available any longer for this, so it is not shown in my BlackBerry World environment. In this case I could make a new clear installation and deletion of the app. But this is not possible.
It would be great if anybody of BlackBerry is reading this and could reset or delete the resending of this mail.
Are there other other thay also have this problem? Any suggestions?

DanielActually, this is a user-to-user forum. There are some BlackBerry employees who read these posts, but in most case you are only talking to other BlackBerry users.
So to solve your question, you will need somebody from BlackBerry, as most other users will not really be able to solve the problem. If you contacted BlackBerry Support, I guess the best thing is to wait for their answer. You can try tweeting to @BlackBerryHelp, in some cases they can reply to you faster. Or you can have their attention much faster.
I find it weird myself that you haven't contacted them before, as you say the problem is since a couple of years now.
I am afraid that you will not receive a lot more information on this forum (as this is a rather specific problem in my opinion). Except maybe if one of the BlackBerry employees on this forum notices this post.
