Very Buggy Flash 10.2 - different Graphic Cards

Hi...
Flash Player 10.2 seems to be very "buggy".
My system:
Win Vista 32Bit Home Premium, all updates
Firefox 3.6.13 with the actuall Flash 10.2...
I have two GPUs (Hybrid)
- onboard Intel Media Accelerator, Intel Mobile Family 4 --> Flash 10.2 do not work!!
Some videos are showing only a black area or a not moving picture... mostly you can hear the sound.
and an extra decidedly graphic card (GPU)
-nVidia GeForce 9600M GT --> and there Flash 10.2 works!
Now if have loaded and installed the old Flash 10.1, latest version.....
... and all works fine!
So, now I will wait for an bug release.
update:
The problem is not more less with FF 3.6.15!
... and i have the same problem with IE8 on the same computer
At first with 10.2.152.26 and now branch 10.2.152.32.... it's all the same

Do you have the latest device drivers installed for your video card?
Did you try to disable Hardware Acceleration?

  • NVidia Settings for Two Different Graphics Cards?

I just built a new system for video editing with Adobe CC 2014 including both the Quadro K4000 AND the GeForce GTX780 DirectCU II OC graphics cards. I was wondering what are the best settings in the NVidia control panel for apps such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Speedgrade, Encore, etc. I see that there are global settings and app specific settings.
One question I have concerns the CUDA cores. Should I select one graphics card over the other or use the global (all) setting? How does that work? For CUDA, if I select Global, does the system decide automatically which card to use or does it combine the CUDA cores of both cards?? Seems like an important distinction.
Also, I have two monitors: ASUS PA279 (2560x1440) and a JVC PS-420W (1920x1080) How should these be connected to the computer for best performance and picture quality? Should I use DVI or HDMI connections?
And, of course, the Quadro K4200 just appeared on the market, which offers almost double the CUDA cores and 4 GB RAM instead of 3 GB on the K4000. Should I return the K4000 and replace with the K4200? price difference not much.
The rest of my system includes:
    Processor - Intel i7-4930k 6-core 3.4 GHz
    Motherboard - ASUS P9X79-E WS
    RAM - Corsair Dominator 2133 DDR3 64 GB
System drive - Intel SSD 530 Series 240 GB
    Storage - WD Black 16TB (4x4TB) RAID 0
UPDATE - I wrote to PNY because it's their Quadro K4000 card, and this was their reply to me:
    Hi Alex,
Thank you very much for using our NVIDIA Quadro by PNY professional graphics boards, and for contacting PNY Quadro Support.
Our NVIDIA Quadro K4000 is an excellent choice for supporting Adobe Creative Cloud 2014 for video editing.
Forgive me, but we do not recommend installing Quadro and GeForce graphics boards together in the same configuration.  That does not mean that you cannot do it, and honestly, in Windows 7, it may actually be OK to have both cards installed (each with its own driver), but we still do not recommend it, and do not support it.
Furthermore, I support Quadro products only, not GeForce products, so I do not have a lot more to say about the GeForce card, other than to say that GeForce cards are intended for use supporting games and home use, while Quadro graphics boards are intended for use in workstations, supporting professional applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud 2014.
I recommend installing the Quadro K4000 into the primary (top) PCIe x16 slot, and to install the latest ODE graphics driver for it:
    http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/77637/en-us
I recommend using the default settings in NVIDIA control panel.  The system will use the card in the primary slot. While Adobe CC applications are multi-GPU aware, and designed to automatically use the second GPU to improve performance, I feel more confident that you will see a benefit by using a second Quadro card in the secondary PCIe slot.  I do not know whether Adobe CC will use the GeForce GPU to boost performance, or not (as again, this is not supported or recommended).
For the Asus PA279, I recommend using a DisplayPort (DP) 1.2 cable (or perhaps a dual-link DVI cable) to connect it to the K4000.  I recommend using a single-link DVI cable (or perhaps a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, together with an HDMI cable) to connect the JVC PS-420W to the K4000.

What a stubborn machine! Whenever I set the CUDA setting to GTX780 and hit 'Apply' it would jump back to the Quadro. Even after changing the Global setting to the GTX780 and back to Premiere it would do that. After a few times, it finally changed to what I wanted. Now Premiere, AE and Speedgrade are set to GTX780 for CUDA. However, there is a graph that shows GPU Utilization and it shows the Quadro still doing the brunt of the work - about 50-60% compared to the GTX at 5-8%. I suppose that's a different setting I need to change?
I had both monitors connected to the Quadro. I just put the 2nd display on the GTX. Does it matter? And does it matter what connector type - HDMI, DVI, etc.?
I set the BIOS to Gen 3 for the slots that the GPUs are in. And enabled 'Above 4G Decoding'. That Quadro is a PCI E 2.0 card. I see a 'little bit' of performance improvement playing back 3 layers of video with effects Magic Bullet Looks and different blending modes. It does not like the Neat Video noise reducer and some of the other effects, though. Still pretty crippled. Maybe a hard drive issue? I've got a 4 x 4 TB RAID 0 WD Black series on the onboard controller. 64 GB RAM is plenty.

  • How large of a performance difference between two different graphic cards

Hey I am in the middle of upgrading my system and I am looking to spend my tax return on0 graphics cards. I am going to run an SLI with either the Nvidia GTX 660 or the GTX 680. Now I realize the 680 is hands down better than the 660 what I want to know is, is it worth the price differance proformance wise. I plan to get two of these and SLI them, here are the two I am looking at
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127699 - the 660 GTX
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127723 - the 680 GTX
I am running CS6 so I want to stay in the 600 series of Nvidia's cards which are on the white list for CS6. I want to choose between these two cards because I am running eyefinity right now and I cannot go back, these support Nvidia Surround out of the box with no adapters needed. Also MSI's heatsinks are fantastic with these cards.
So basically what I am asking is the proformance I will get with 2 of the 680s worth the $500 price differance?
Here is my system as it stands now:
CPU - AMD Phenom II X6 3.2 GHz   -> Will upgrade to AMD 9590 x8 5GHz after I buy the graphics cards
    16GB Corsair Dominator 8-8-8-20 RAM
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD (main drive)
Corsair 64GB SSD as a scratch disk
2TB WD Black HDD as mass storage
AMD Radion 6790 -> Will upgrade to one of the cards listed above
    Windows 8.1

For After Effects, there is no reason to spend the extra money unless you are using one specific feature: the ray-traced 3D renderer. If you're not using that feature, and your focus is After Effects, then spend your extra money on RAM and SSDs.
See this page for details about how After Effects uses the GPU:

  • Bug related to ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 / Different graphic cards ?

I have posted in different post regarding a color shift I experience in my pictures using Aperture.
All my displays are hardware calibrated and I'm starting to suspect it's related to a bug related to spesific graphic cards?
A picture illustrating my problem can be seen here:
    http://homepage.mac.com/mr.lee/Aperture/
What graphic cards do the rest of you have that experience similar problems?
I have read that Apple maybe will include an update on some grapic cards in their 10.4.4 update and hope this will solve my problem
It's strange to see that the loupe function in the illustating picture shows the correct blue colors in one of the frames (the frame normally used to view the details in pictures not zoomed to 100% like I did in this example)
    1,33GHz 17" PowerBook G4, 23" Apple Cinema HD Display   Mac OS X (10.4.3)   2GB RAM

I've got the same problem with my ATI Radeon 9600 XT. The histogram on a B&W image even shows non-identical RGB curves
    http://www.mungosmash.com/ViewPhotograph.php?GUID=246
I'm almost positive it's a bug with the ATI drivers.

  • Multi monitor/different graphic cards

    Hi
I have an MSI Z97-G45 motherboard, and have a Visiontek ATI Radeon 5570 graphics card installed on it. I have a  Nvidia Geforce GT610 graphics card that I also want to install since I want to run extra monitors. Please can someone let me know if this is possible, or will they conflict?
    I have an I7-4770 processor
    Many thanks
    Mike

you will have a conflict between the drivers as you have a AMD and Nvidia set of drivers that will need to be installed and they share the same Regestery keys so it will be a mess!
if you need more outputs get another card that is the same Maker either AMD or Nvidia that use the same drivers as each other!

  • 6 beeps and 6 flashes from LED after graphics card is in and no signal to monitor

I am having problem with my computer booting after installing my gpu. It has worked before with this setup and now its beeping all of a sudden. Sometimes it would boot up fine and most the time it wouldn't boot up at all. So I would leave my pc on sleep and never shut it off. But now it won't boot up with the card at all. I updated my BIOS and unseated the card and ut it back in and nothing. I don't know what else to do. PLEASE HELP!!

Hi: See if following the instructions from the link below gets your video card to work... Normally that happens because legacy mode is disabled and secure boot is enabled in the BIOS. This will only work if your PC has onboard graphics so you can see the display in order to change the settings after you remove the video card. http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03653200

  • [Solved] Installing different graphics card

I have an ASUS G50Vt with a GeForce 9800M GS card. During my installation of Arch, I figured I'd settle with the Nouveau driver because it's easy to install. Now I want to upgrade to the NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-260.19.36 driver. How would I go about disabling Nouveau and installing the new one? I was thinking:
    # pacman -R xf86-video-nouveau
    # killall Xorg
    # ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-260.19.36.run
Would this work, or are there other things I need to account for as well?

    Don't use the nvidia installer!!
Just install the nvidia and nvidia-utils packages with pacman. Then reboot. Those two packages already contain the necessary configuration files. Rebooting is not strictly necessary, but it's the easiest method.
Huh, alright, good to know. Thanks!

  • Can I use 2 graphic card for optimisation in adobe?

Hi, I am using Adobe CS6, Premiere pro, After effect, Photoshop, InDesign.
Current set up is Dell XPS 8700, GTX 650 Ti, 128gb Plex SSD, 2TB 72krpm HDD, 16DDR3 non-ECC ram.
I am looking to build a LGA 1366 dual xeon processor workstation.
Plextor M5 Pro as main hardisk for application cache
    2x Intel Xeon X5570
    16ddr3 10600Registered/ECC ram
SAS 10k rpm HDDs support 6gbps but I only using 3gbps controller (media drives)
    Graphic cards:
1x Nvidia Geforce GTX 650 Ti
    1x Nvidia Quadro FX 1800
Need advice on the possibility of using both graphic cards in my upcoming set up.
eg, ulitilising the Cudas on my GTX while still enabling the use of quadro fx 1800. (not sure if Quadro fx1800 can enhance the flow..)
If able, pls share some light on how to go about enabling both graphic to use in adobe
My work is mainly, photo and video editing.

    Hi Stormancer,
You cannot use two different graphics cards in SLI which is the main benefit of having two cards.
As far as I am aware the FX1800 is optimised for CAD use when you state mainly editing photo and video so I can't see that card being particularly beneficial to you.
If you can afford it why not just buy a better spec single card either the Quadro or GTX?
I currently run a Windows 7 64-bit system with an i7 3700k, three SSD 6/Gbps, RAID 6/Gbps and 2300 Mhz memory with a recently upgraded GTX 680 and find it more than capable of both photo and HD video editing plus some After Effects work.  I would class myself as a serious Hobbyist (with 30 years PC experience) and suspect that yes you need the latest kit if you are editing professionally because of the deadlines and high quality required but once you reach a certain level, the gains are very negligible.
While I was looking to upgrade my card, people on here suggested the Quadro K5000 mainly because I have a 10-bit NEC PA301W (25th anniversary present off hubbie) but this card was out of my budget so I settled on the GXT680 and find it more than capable for my needs.  It is much faster than the old Radeon 5770 I had.  However, while researching I came across this site which explains the way Mercury GPU is utilised, you may find it helpful:

  • Swapping out Graphics card on HP Envy 17-k251na

Hello! I have a feeling that i may have been given the wrong information by the assistant i bought my machine from in PC world...
I was assured i would be able to swap out my graphics card, which is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M (4 GB DDR3 dedicated)
    and upgrade.
I was also told i could upgrade the processor.
I've been told by a few people that this simply isn't true and to upgrade the Graphics Card i'd need a whole new motherboard... but the term "dedicated" is what's confusing me... am i wrong in thinking that it works seperately and the term "intergrated" means that it's part of the motherboard?
I spent a lot of money on this laptop on the premis of what the assistant told me! Ultimately that i would be able to upgrade this laptop as time went on. (I want to primarly want to use this for gaming)
I'm hoping what people are telling me is all hear say.. it doesn't seem to make sence to me that i can choose between two different graphics cards to run games with and they'd BOTH be intergrated into the mother board....
The other one that's in my machine is an Intel Graphics HD 5500.
Also this machine has a 1 TB HDD and an 8GB SSD, i'd like to also swap out for a larger SSD... i was also told that this was possible.
Hoping for good news here, any help woud be appreciated!

Right now the links to your product manual are down but assuming the 17-k200 series is like the 17-k000 and 17-k100 series there is no easy access to the hard drives and memory. That is, no customer accessible panels on the bottom you can open by just removing a screw. Further, there is no graphics "card" to just "swap out". "Dedicated" and "integrated" refer to the use of memory. An integrated video card shares system memory; i.e. the RAM supplied by the RAM modules you clip into the RAM slots. Dedicated video memory is memory built into the video chip. On a laptop, both kinds of video cards are soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded. Your laptop has "switchable" graphics and most definitely has two different video chips soldered onto different places on the motherboard.
As for the processor, you already have one of the newest and best laptop processors offered. The video you have is also pretty top-notch. I am always a bit baffled by people who buy a laptop with the idea of upgrading it. Laptops just do not work that way. Components are way crazy expensive. Your processor is so new there are none to be purchased but when it does become available it will be over $350. On the very few super expensive engineering and high-end gaming laptops that do have a kind of removeable graphics card (mxm) high-end ones run at least $450. So even if you could do the upgrades, which you cannot, you would be looking at over $1000 with labor. I understand people do not appreciate the cold reality of this.
And just to hit you with more bad news, on your model the CPU might be soldered to the motherboard so it cannot be upgraded at all. I can confirm when your Manual is back online.
Upgrading memory and changing the hard drive for an SSD also requires extensive complex disassembly.
You have one of the best consumer laptops on the market. There is just not much upgrade headroom. It sounds like what you really want is a gaming laptop. HP makes one called the Omen which sells for about $1500-1800US, and would be a little stronger than what you have, particularly in the graphics. But even that is kind of a middle of the road thing. You can order a custom gaming laptop from a company like Sager and it is going to cost upwards of $2500 for the very best. Maybe you can complain to PC World and just return the one you have and start over a little wiser for the trouble.

  • Recommended Graphics Cards for Encore / Premiere

    Hi-Dee-Ho Everybody:
I started a thread yesterday regarding trouble I am having with Encore CS4, specifically, my "Monitor" window just stops, well, monitoring after a short time while manipulating fairy straight forward 720x480 AVI files. Rather than reiterate it all, here's the link:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/555265?tstart=0
It's a new system that I'm using. I had been using Encore successfully for the last 6 months on an older, slower machine - Windows XP Home, 4GB memory, ONE processor core.
Everything about the new system should improve the performance of Encore: 8GB of memory, Quad Core, 2.5GHz a HUGE harddrive. The only two things that I see could be the cause of my new problems are:
    Windows 7 Home Premium
Different Graphics Card (Intel G43/G45 Express)
I've updated EVERYTHING: Windows 7, display drivers, card drivers, the Roxio PX Engine (4.18.16a). All that's done.
I've heard from many people that they are getting along fine with Windows 7. I am leaning towards this graphics card as the problem. The system was, overall, a great deal but I neglected to ask about the the amount of graphics memory in it.It's just one of those mother board embedded scenarios. I don't know if I should expect much from it.
So, I was wondering if anybody had any experience with this "card". If not, I was wondering if there was a recommended graphics card for Encore and Premiere. A minimum recommendation for graphics memory?
    Thanks!
    Mark Roberts,
    Toronto

    Mark,
Many have had problems with embedded Intel graphics chips and various Adobe programs.
For the vast majority, replacing that with either an ATI, or nVidia, has solved the issue.
Though it is overkill for general NLE and authoring, I love my nVidia Quadro FX-4500-512MB has worked perfectly. It is older, and more than you need.
On my laptop, my nVidia GeForce 8800M GTX 512MB has also performed very well.
One is a higher-end, albeit older, 3-D card, and the other, a "mobile" card. What I am getting at is that most of the offerings from ATI, or nVidia should work perfectly, and better than the Intel chip - plus either source will provide many more new drivers, and in a much more timely fashion, than the Intel.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • T410 - Switch between graphics cards

    Hi,
    i just bought the T 410 (2522-3FG).
Despite the fact that it was advertised there is no option whatsoever to switch between the Nvidia discrete graphics card and the gpu of the i7-processor.
Yes, i have installed the powermanager (version 3.12) but the option is missing.
Furthermore i read in various forums that the information that this laptop comes with the ability to switch between discrete and integrated graphics is a hoax.
So my question is: will there ever be the option to switch between the different graphics cards? Will it somehow be implemented by software updates or will it never work?
    Best regards from Germany,
    earth2

I'm not sure you're missing much.  The battery run-time loss since I "switched" my T400 to Win 7 has been very frustrating.   So far there hasn't been any hint that Lenovo is doing anything about it.
Without some tap-dancing with power manager after each reboot, the switchable option is using more power than either discrete or integrated alone.  Sometimes it cuts run-time in half.  Even after the tap-dance it still uses more juice than it used to.  This stuff used to work.
Enought about me - how do you like your machine otherwise?  I'm quite pleased with the T400 post-Vista, and holding onto the hope that the graphics driver will eventually be fixed.

  • Installed new graphic card (ASUS Geforce GTX 750ti. PC stuck at the blue welcome screen

    Hi,
I just bought the ASUS Geforce GTX 750ti STRIX OC Edition (without external power connector).
After I installed it, I wont get past the HP welcome screen. It gives one beep 3 times, and then 1 and 2 short before the screen turns black.
    My computer is:
    HP P7-1072sc
    (I have installed a 500w power supply.)
    Running on windows 7
    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hi,
There is a BIOS update posted for you PC but I don't think that it will solve your problem.  You might want to install it and see if anything changes.
You may have to RMA the graphics card back to ASUS.  ASUS may be able to flash the BIOS on the card to make it work or replace it with a different graphics card that will work.
Many of the NVIDIA GTX 750 graphics cards are enabled for a full UEFI BIOS PC and your PC is not at that level.

  • Graphics card benchmarking for Color!

Since Apple does not provide any performance specs on different graphics cards with Color, we should do the benchmarking by ourselves.
For comparison I suggest that we all use hdv(1440x1080) for footage format and lets put 2 categories: only primary in and primary in&out + 2 secondaries to footage.
You can also add Quadros if you like.
Just fill the gaps on playback speed you get:
    Only Primary In:
    1) 7300GT 8-bit 13-14 fps
    2) 7300GT 32-bit 11 fps
    3) 8800GT 8-bit
    4) 8800GT 32-bit
    5) 2600XT 8-bit
    6) 2600XT 10-bit
    7) 2600XT 12-bit
    8) 2600XT 16-bit
    9) 2600XT 32-bit
    10) 1900XT 8-bit
    11) 1900XT 10-bit
    12) 1900XT 12-bit
    13) 1900XT 16-bit
    14) 1900XT 32-bit
    Primary In & Out + 2 Secondaries:
    1) 7300GT 8-bit 7 fps
    2) 7300GT 32-bit 4-5 fps
    3) 8800GT 8-bit
    4) 8800GT 32-bit
    5) 2600XT 8-bit
    6) 2600XT 10-bit
    7) 2600XT 12-bit
    8) 2600XT 16-bit
    9) 2600XT 32-bit
    10) 1900XT 8-bit
    11) 1900XT 10-bit
    12) 1900XT 12-bit
    13) 1900XT 16-bit
    14) 1900XT 32-bit

    A good idea ? Yes
    But why it's impossible and non-significative ?
Playback performance not depending only of video card :
    - hard drive performance and type source are very important
    - grading are not equivalent : a secondary gradding it's very different between only color correction and a color correction + vignette + key + blur
I use Sonnet SAS drive for 2K dpx grading : 23fps without correction. If I use my system disk : 10 or 12 fps...
HDV is not a good format for test : processors are needed for uncompress/compress the signal, so results will be different between quad G5 and octo Xeon.
Test will be significative in this configuration :
    - same source file without processor cycle or very optimized (prores : on intel only)
    - same processor
    - same hard drive in same configuration (RAID 1,0..) with same connection (SAS, eSata, FW)
    - same grading (only performance test nedd not same result)
So it's impossible to benchmarking ourself. Only one team can do this

I had Purchased the Game Spore Creature Creator the Starter Kit which is just the Creature creator game and not the actual game itself. I wasn't able to install the the game on my computer because I don't have the right or not at all Video and Graphic Card install on my computer. I had Contacted the Company "EA" that puts out the Game Spore, this is what they said what the game requirements are: The minimum system requirements for Spore and Spore the Galactic Edition for Mac are as follows:
    * Mac OS X 10.5.3 Leopard or higher
    * Intel Core Duo Processor
    * 1024 MB RAM
    * At least 345 MB of hard drive space for installation, plus additional space for created creatures. (260 MB for the Trial Edition)
    * Video Card - ATI X1600 or NVidia 7300 GT with 128 MB of Video RAM, or Intel Integrated GMA X3100
This game will not run on PowerPC (G3/G4/G5) based Mac systems (PowerMac).
For computers using built-in graphics chipsets, the game requires at least: an Intel Integrated Chipset GMA X3100 or Dual 2.0GHz CPUs, or 1.7GHz Core 2 Duo, or equivalent
    Supported Video Cards
    ATI Radeon(TM) series
    * X1600, X1900, HD 2400, HD 2600
    NVIDIA GeForce series
    * 7300, 7600, 8600, 8800
    Intel(R) Extreme Graphics
    * GMA X3100
and that I need to upgrade my system. Basically I need; ATI Radeon 1600 or NVIDIA Geforce 7300 and a INTEL Extreme Graphic Video Card-GMA X3100, in order to be able to install and play this game. Since I already have this game, I would like to be able to upgrade my computer system which brings me to ask; does somone know or refer me to a web site that has and sells these Video and Graphic Card and supports for the Mini Mac?
Plus they say that I need a 1020 of MB of Ram, I Have already found that 1024 MB of Ram but I just need those Video and Graphic Cards for my computer system. I am adding my computer system Profile to my discussion board to show you what I have on my system, would you be able to tell me if I would be able to add these Video and Graphic card and the memory or Ram 1024 to my computer system?
Note: Here is a web site that I am looking at to add the 1024 MB of Ram to my computer system:

    Hi Trisha,
The only modern Mac's with video cards are the Mac Pro and Xserve (server) systems. They both are priced quite a bit higher than any Mac Mini.
Some systems, like the Mac Book Pro laptop can be ordered with different graphics cards, but that has be done when the system is built, as it is not replaceable once the system is built. To find out which systems, go to store.apple.com. For each system that you select, you can see if there's an option for a better video card.
