Very confused with blackberry z10

so i just got a blackberry z10 and I dont really understand how sms and emails work? So at first I selected keep messages forever, I then started receiving hundreds of emails (I then changed to 7 days as I have thousands of emails which i assume would end up on my blackberry and i dont need all just some), anyway I am assuming after 7 days the emails will get deleted right? If so does this apply for sms as well, will they get deleted after 7 days? Is there any way I can keep emails and sms forever without getting every single email I have on my hotmail account (which i have for over 10 years). Can anyone help me, am I doing anything wrong or is this how blackberry works now?

Yes. Actually, what you're doing now different than past BlackBerrys is that your new device "syncs" emails with what is on your email server. So, the messages are really "deleted" but after seven days they just are not synced,

No, does not apply to SMS... you were in the process of setting up your email account. Does not apply to SMS.

No, if you sync "forever", you get everything.

TTY (Q90D) not compatible with BlackBerry Z10

Please fix this. I purchased a TTY machine (Q90D) for a deaf friend to use and it will not function properly on the Z10. I called the TTY company which makes this product and they concluded I was doing everything right, but that the BlackBerry Z10 (turns out) is the culprit here as it is not completely compatible with the Q90D although the machine is cellular compatible. I say not completely because one time during the test I wrote hello and they were able to read that at the other end, but at no time did I receive any written information/message/text from them. I'm hoping that someone from BlackBerry support will read this and look into this matter for me. At the moment I'm very disappointed as my friend is not able to communicate with his parents who are old and do not have a computer, nor a cell phone. Thank you in advance for your support. WATCHING SURVEILANCE CAMERAS REMOTELY WITH BLACKBERRY Z10 PHONE

I WATCHED MY FOUR REMOTE CAMERAS WITH MY OLDER BLACKBERRY TORCH USING ASEE SOFTWARE; BUT THE Z10 BLACKBERRY WON'T WORK. I CONTACTED DEFENDER, THE DVR MANUFACTURER, AND TRIED TO CONTACT MEYE, THE SOFTWARE COMPANY, WITH NO RESULTS.
IS THERE OTHER SOFTWARE ANYONE HAS FOUND WHICH I CAN USE WITH THE Z10 WHICH WILL LET ME MONITOR MY CAMERAS REMOTELY?

If they are accessible via IP then they should be viewable by IP Cam Viewer. I use it and although it IS and Android port it is actually very good.

Very confused with iTunes Store issues

Dear all,
I am a Mac user who owns several mac computers and several iOS devices.
I have become very confused over my rights concerning my specific Apple iD.
I understand that when purchasing DRM free music from iTunes (256 bit - it appears as Purchased AAC audio file) on my main Mac computer, then I can play this music to as many computers I have, not only 5. Is this correct?
I remember at some point that on one of my other Mac computers ( my secondary computer - a Mac Mini) I was able to listen to my music purchased, in the past, on my main computer, by having it streamed (not downloaded) from the iCloud onto my secondary computer. Somehow this has been lost recently. Now I am faced with the task to authorise my secondary computer, which I cannot do, because I have 5 computers already authorised.
What am I doing wrong?
Has iTunes 11 changed anything in this respect?
Any help will be most appreciated.

I had tried all these, deleting 'Downloads' folder in 'iTunes Media', creating a new user (administrator) account and downloading movie with the new account, following error -50 trouble shooting steps, but none of them worked. I did contact iTunes customer service. In addition to what listed above, they also suggested I download the movie using another computer and transfer the file to my macbook air, which has nothing to do with my problem at all.

SYNC BLACKBERRY BOLD WITH BLACKBERRY Z10

Have been using Blackberry Bold 9700 for many years and regularly backing up on my lap top. Got Z10 and cannot sync contacts. Blackberry Link does not recognise Blackberyy Bold. Need help.

Did you do back up of your contacts on your previous device? if so you can follow these steps
1. Open BlackBerry Link and connect your old BlackBerry smartphone to the computer using the USB cable.
2. Click Transfer Device Data.
3. Wait while the data is copied from your BlackBerry smartphone.
4. Disconnect your old BlackBerry smartphone and connect your BlackBerry Z10 to the computer using the USB cable.
5. Click on the BlackBerry Z10.
6. Click Next.
7. Wait while the data is transferred to your BlackBerry Z10.
8. The data has been transferred to your BlackBerry Z10.

Very confused with trade in, please help!

I ordered a iPhone 6 today through my local Verizon store, I have a iPhone 5 to trade.. The whole process was done very fast so I didnt ask to many questions. I am confused though, am I mailing my phone in once the iPhone 6 gets to my verizon store? Or are they going to give me a $200 dollar credit so I can trade it in right then? I did already get a conformation about my order saying it will ship by 10/31. Please help!! Thanks!!

Well it depends on what posts you read on this subject.
Some customers have stated that if you buy or pick up in store they can look at your device and credit you on the spot.
Others have said that you get a mailer that you send the phone back in which many have claimed the amount promised was reduced to $36 because the iPhone was not deactivated or wiped absolutely clean. See if the store will take it first before you mail it back.

I am very confuse with my program in Gaphics2D

I tried to draw a GeneralPath onto an image. Initially, I tried with fixed value like:

it can draw perfectly on an bufferedimage. But when I load a data file containing a set of values, nothing on GeneralPath appears on the image.
The whole class on this is from class A and class B open the data file and calling to this A by:
new A();
Is this possible?
P.S. I tried to post my program code on but no one wants to help me, so I try this way.

Yes, this is actually related to the previous question on something x and y coordinates. Actually, my problem occur when I pass 2 arrays of x and y to class B during I load a file in class A, I can't get it to draw GeneralPath. I have aske answer for maybe error in creating the GeneralPath but my GeneralPath is fine.
I try experimenting with a fixed value of:

It can only compile if I insert an "f" at the back of each float value. When I run it, it works and show this line. Let me remind you that the value I passed to this class (B) is valid as I try to print the value(x and y but not ix and iy) and it really got value.I don't want to draw the GeneralPath in the paintComponent since when I scale the image, the GeneralPath also need to be scale together to see the effect.Thank you

So while talking to a friend bout a meeting I went to he asked if I could send him pictures to his Facebook inbox
I went to the picture, tapped on share icon but I realized that if I share to Facebook it will go to the time
My question is how do I share to his direct inbox??

your friend has a special email on the facebook website. If people send him an email to that address, it arrives in his Facebook Messages. You can try adding an attachment to your email.

Blackberry Z10 - Disappointment

I am very disappinted with Blackberry Z10. From last some days i found just small application like App Lock which lock the application & Folders. but same is not found. also i cant able to do normal video calling. this handset purching is vesting of money.

The best way to lock your apps is to lock the device. The app locks aren't because they can just be deleted and then someone can gain access to your apps and folders.
As for video calling, who said it had that? You can do video calling with BBM.

Blackberry Z10 Calendar

BlackBerry Z 10 Calendar:
I've a problem with Blackberry Z10 Calendar Appointments and Meetings. I've syncronized with my account on outlook.com (but it's the same thing on my local outlook on the pc).
If I enter an appointments on my BBZ10 I see it into te outlook.com calendar but after a few minutes it disappier from the BBZ10 calendar week and day! Even I see in the month view the color in that day.
Same thing if I enter an appointment on the outlook.com: I see it for a few minutes on my BBZ10 and then it disappears!
I think that ins't a problem of syncronitazion: the appointments and meetings are saved in the BBZ10 calendar (in the month view I can see the coloured days, only the colour but nont the appointments) but I cannot see them.

BlackBerry Z10 Native Browser not supporting to Phonegap Application

Hi,
i have PhoneGap app which is working in android and iphone platfrom. but when i check this app with blackberry Z10, pages are flickering from one page to another page, full screen page will load properly and blink ones,
so i am not getting is it a coding issuse....? or else the blackberry Z10 native web kit (Browser) not supporting, becuse the app is working fine in other BlackBerry smart phones.
Please let me know why its happening only with blackberry Z10.

Does my very new 64Gb microSDXC Samsung not function in exFat with my also new BlackBerry Z10 ?

I just bought the BlackBerry Z10, and then, a 64Gb microSDXC by Samsung.
I put it in my BlackBerry Z10 (with the last OS version - 10.2.1.537) and it ask me to reformat the card...
It means it didn't work with the exFat format, is it ?
(I've read in forums that it will function very good with the latest OS version (i.e. 10.2.1) and that perhaps that the phone will ask for downloading some driver's. But it's not what happening for me....
Someone to help ? I just don't want to format that card in the old FAT32...

You have to reformat it. The Z10 will not read the 64GB card without it being reformatted.

HUB showing contact number with country code and not with its name..blackberry Z10 STL100-2

I have an issue with Text Messages and call lists, in my blackberry Z10 (STL100-2), which is, If I have not saved my contact numbers without country code, the msg may appear in local formate (w/o country code), and it also appear as International formate (another times), and though the number is same (only saperate is country code) in the hub, it appear as two conversation. for eg: if I sent txt to 9899100 (w/o country code), reply used to come as +960-9899100. or vice-versa.
So its very difficult. and here i came for help.
You might know a lot what we do not know as we do know a lot you do not know. Asking is the way to get to know....

The movies were all on my SD card. They are also not backed up by Link which is why had them synced to my phone as a poor man's backup.
So either Link did not backup the necessary licensing information in the main memory of my phone, or Link did not synchronize the necessary licensing information off my SD card. Either way I am stuck with 3 movies that I cannot play, because I can no longer find them in the BlackBerry World store to re-dowbload whatever licensing information is needed.
I even just tried a media restore from Link because it was 138 MB in size (and in don't normally store anything on my phone's main storage), but alas no licensing information was restored.
