Very handy resource from James Wamser

Adobe InDesign 1.0 – CC 2014 New Features Guide

The download worked. The tiny URL gave a blank tab and the links in the
main sheet don't work for me. I'm having similar problems with the other free
Adobe pubs.
Thanks

    I just got InDesign CS6 and am running it on an iMac and I know the license is good for two computers which will come in very handy for me.  How do I set it up to access it from my second iMac?

    I just had an afterthought, Peter, if I could bother you further; if the downstairs iMac that I want to access it from is in my wife's name and not mine (even though I'll be the one using it on her computer) does that affect anything or can I simply load the software straight into her computer without any complications?

  • How to update binary resource from java?

    Oracle 9i release 2 xmldb
    What is the recommended way to update the contents of a binary resource via JDBC. Pointers to documentation would be very helpful. The XML DB User's Guide doesn't say much about binary resources, except for using WebDAV and FTP.
    The following executed normally but the database isn't affected.
    try
    conn = _project.getConnectionManager().getConnection();
    conn.setAutoCommit (false);
    stmt = conn.prepareStatement (
    "SELECT XDBUriType(?).getBlob() FROM PATH_VIEW WHERE PATH = ?"
    stmt.setString(1, _path);
    stmt.setString(2, _path);
    rset = stmt.executeQuery();
    rset.next();
    BLOB blob = ((OracleResultSet)rset).getBLOB(1);
    if (blob != null)
    OutputStream out = blob.getBinaryOutputStream();
    byte[] bytes = contents.getBytes();
    out.write(bytes);
    out.flush();
    out.close();
    else
    System.out.println("blob = null");
    conn.commit();
    conn.close();
    catch (java.sql.SQLException e)
    e.printStackTrace();

    Hi pooja123
    We have the code to append resource name "WriteBack" to the waveset.resources property, we can actually read the value from <ref>accounts[WriteBack].something<ref>. But we just can't write anything back.
    I heard from someone that there are not way to write back anything to resource from wrokflow. So I create an Java Clss to do the writeBack.

  • Please help I just accidentally deleted a very very important note from my "Notes" on my iPhone 4s.  How can I get it back? Is there a "Trash" file somewhere for deleted notes?  Thank you, Susan

    Please help I just accidentally deleted a very very important note from my "Notes" on my iPhone 4s.  How can I get it back?
    Is there a "Trash" file somewhere for deleted notes?
    Thank you,
    Susan

    Had you never backed up the phone before? When you saw the iTunes logo and cable, the device was in recovery mode. The data was already lost. The only way to recover from that is to restore the device, which will delete all of your data. You will only be able to restore to your last backup, whenever that was. Sorry this happened, but this highlights the importance of doing regular backups. The backup is the only protection you have against a problem like this.

    Hello,
    thanks for your contribution. But how I already said we have seen that the first error message:
    The error is: javax.servlet.UnavailableException: Cannot load a validator resource from '/WEB-INF/validator-rules.xml,/WEB-INF/validation.xml'
    But behind that message is an additional message that describes the real root cause of the problem:
    SEVERE: Cannot find resource "org/apache/commons/digester/xmlrules/digester-rules.dtd"
    org.apache.commons.digester.xmlrules.XmlLoadException: Cannot find resource
    "org/apache/commons/digester/xmlrules/digester-rules.dtd"
    Unfortunately we have no idea why the dtd file can not be loaded. The appropriate line of code is:
    getClass().getResourceAsStream("<link_to_resource")
    And this returns a NULL object. The NULL object causes the general exception and finishes the instantiation of Struts.
    Any additonal hints?
    Regards, Maik

  • Create java class/resource from binary blob in SQL statement

    CREATE OR REPLACE JAVA CLASS

    I've tried various combinations of casting & convert functions, all of them give an ORA-29506 error 'Invalid query derived from USING clause', and nothing useful is gained from google about this. Is there a way of specifying the class binary in this way?

    You can load Java classes into the database, then create a PL/SQL procedure or function in the database that calls that Java class.
    This leaves you with a standard PL/SQL procedure/function which you can call from Oracle Forms.
    Have a look at the database documentation on how to load a Java class: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/A91202_01/901_doc/java.901/a90210/toc.htm

    Do you have any idea ?

    Hi rizalferdiyan,
    Can you please check the certificate store of ISE for the following certificate :
    Baltimore CyberTrust Root.
    If this certificate is not available you will not be able to download the resources from cisco.com site.

I am able to create Admin Role in a workflow .I m even able to addign controlled Sub organisatons,member organisations,capabilities.But can anyone tell me how to limit the scope of control of a Resource of a particular organisation under his control.i.e Exclude or Include Resources for this child organisation from a workflow.
    Any help will be highly appriciated.......

    public URL getCodeBase()
    "Gets the base URL. This is the URL of the directory which contains this applet."So try the experiment. See where it leads you..
    [http://pscode.org/test/codebase/applet.html] - two different (in the codebase) calls to the same applet.
    import javax.swing.*;
    public class CodeBaseApplet extends JApplet {

    My wording may have been confusing. But I thought "which contains this applet" and "from where the applet originated" referred to the same thing.This is not the first time I have discovered JavaDocs that are misleading.
    I generally don't work with the applet tag when I do develop applets as the tag has been deprecated for a number of years.Same difference with <object> (or <embed>). The codebase is the codebase, not the directory of any Jar (necessarily).
    Think about it this way. An applet loads one Jar from my site, one Jar from yours, and another from any other site. What is the codebase then? (Answer: the codebase defined in the applet element.)
    *OTOH it is quite typical to have the codebase point to the single directory that contains all the applet Jars - so often that advice is true. But the devil is in the details.*

  • Create Resource from URL (WSDL) through corporate proxy?

    In OSB I Create a Resource from a URL (WSDL) but I get a "No resource found".
    Im using this service to test...
    http://webservicex.net/stockquote.asmx?WSDL
    I suspect its because it needs to route though our corporate proxy. Do I set this up in the OSB or the Weblogic Administration Console?
    I setup the proxy in the OSB, but it appears I can only assign it to a business service at this point, but I cant create my business service till I load in the WSDL url.
    This works fine for internal WSDL's inside our network. Does anyone know how to configure weblogic or osb to take traffic through a corporate proxy so it can find the test wsdl on an external network?
    Thanks!

    Hi Cory,
    In SB Console go to System Administration > Global Resources > Proxy Servers... Add a new proxy server there...
    In your Business Service you configure the proxy server under Advanced HTTP Transport Configuration...
    You can create the WSDL on SB Console by copy and pasting the WSDL content...
    Hope this helps...

  • OIM 10G hide resources from standard request wizard

    We have created 65 resources in OIM 10G which must be requested by a custom request page in OIM. This is working fine, now we neet to hide those resources from the standard resourcer self-request page in OIM.
    How can we do that ?
    is there some kind of fixed filter we can use? (we added a new OBJ field named OBJ_UDF_CATEGORY and this field could be used as a filter)
    Thank you.

  • Resources view: how not to show resource from under Org Units

    Hello experts!
    In cProjects/xRPM 4.5, when we assign a user as Staffing Manager of an Organizational Unit, not only the resources from this Org Unit appear in his resources view, but also the ones from sub Org Units.
    We would like to prevent this, and display ONLY the resources at the same level.
    Is there a way to achieve this: BADI, authorizations?
    Thanks a lot!
    Matthias

    Solved by our own with a custom enhancement.

  • Loading resources from jar - problem

    I've got a problem when loading resources from jar.
    My code:
    package game.player;
    import javax.swing.ImageIcon;
    import java.awt.Image;
    import game.map.Map;
    import game.map.MapReader;
    import game.emptyclass.EmptyClass;
    import java.net.URL;
    public class Data
        ClassLoader cl = EmptyClass.class.getClassLoader();
        Image image1 = new ImageIcon(cl.getResource("data/sprites/man6.png")).getImage();
        Image image2 = new ImageIcon(cl.getResource("data/sprites/man5.png")).getImage();
        Image image3 = new ImageIcon(cl.getResource("data/sprites/man4.png")).getImage();
        Image image4 = new ImageIcon(cl.getResource("data/sprites/man3.png")).getImage();
        Image image5 = new ImageIcon(cl.getResource("data/sprites/man2.png")).getImage();
        Image image6 = new ImageIcon(cl.getResource("data/sprites/man1.png")).getImage();
        public Image tile1 = new ImageIcon(cl.getResource("data/maps/test/tile1.png")).getImage();
        public Image bg = new ImageIcon(cl.getResource("data/maps/default/bg.png")).getImage();
        public Map map = new MapReader(cl.getResource("data/maps/test/test.map").getPath()).getMap();
        public int getImageWidth()
            return image1.getWidth(null);
        public int getImageHeight()
            return image1.getHeight(null);
    }I get a NullPointerException.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi ,
    getResource() method argument is not begin with the
    character '/' , ex.
    Image image1 = new
    ImageIcon(cl.getResource("/data/sprites/man6.png")).ge
    tImage();
    I thought of that, but it's not applicable here because getResource is being called on the ClassLoader, not the Class.

    thank you for your help

    your signon url is consists of the following url http://server.domain.com:port/site/signon.html
    Can you ping server.domain.com from your client?
    If you can ping it, then make sure your port is added as a rule in the firewall of the server.
    Also make sure that the proxy setting of the client have an exception to server.domain.com.
    If you cannot ping it, make sure the server and the client are conneted to the same network and make sure the hosts file on the client reflects the ipaddress and the hostname of the server.

    3. Submit for Approval
    4. Approver approves assignment.
    Option A:
    1: Update Requirement duration
    2. Enter new End date
    3. Subimit for Approval
    4. Approver - Approves assignment
    Option B:
    1. Cancel resource requirement
    Is there any way to release the resources from project. This should reduce the resource available hours ?

    Hi,
    I also strongly recommend you to read the following material. It is long, I know, but covers almost everything, including your questions:
    Working with the Development Infrastructure
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/03/f6bc3d42f46c33e10000000a11405a/frameset.htm
    This includes also some conceptual descriptions, tutorials, it describes among others the component model, and nwdi elements one by one like cms, dtr and cbs, etc, I believe it is a good start.
    Still, let me briefly, but really only in a nutshell answer your questions.
    The changes are only in inactive after checkin. You won't find in active, only if you activate (for details about actvation please refer to the above guide, since if I go into details, I am afraid the answer will be too long).
    This was so far the dev/inactive and the dev/active part.
    Then you release the changes and import into consolidation. Here it is indeed tricky, since a force activation takes place after a succesful import, so your changes will be visible in both cons/inactive and cons/active.
    You also asked what to consider if you delete a DC:
    #864515 - How To Delete a Development Component
    You wanted to know where to monitor activities. For this go to the CBS webui and check the "Activities" page.
    Here you can look up all the activations took place in the past,  you can check pending activations, etc, you can even use CBS webui to activate.
    Release: You are completely right, there is no release feature in any webuis, as this feature was never implemented. While you can activate from NWDS and from the CBS webui, regarding release the only option is NWDS.
    I hope this helps, let me know if you require more clarification.
    Best Regars,
    Ervin
