Very slow and unstable after update...

Hello!
After update yesterday, my Arch64 was very slow and unstable... Eclipse IDE crashes, Firefox uses +200mb and Xorg uses +15% of CPU. Xorg lags when I'm going to switch between virtual desktop in KDE... very strange!

it didnt work in kernel 3.12, but with https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/dkms-8192cu/ it worked perfect
in kernel 3.13 it is horrible both witht he stock driver or with the AUR package.

Bridge and PSCS5 slow and unstable after update

I allowed my system to install the updates for Bridge, ACR and PS CS5. Since then everything is unstable.
I open bridge and click an image. I'm first told Bridge is not responding. After a couple minutes it will respond and open ACR. If I click "OPEN" ACR closes but the image doesn't openin PS. PS opens but again I'm told "not responding"
I'm running windows 7 64-bit with PS CS5 64-bit. I have a quad core an 8gb of ram I have dual video card and dual monitors
(if you need any other technicalinfor please ask) All was fine until the update

Interesting, I'm having a similar problem since the latest update.
TIFF files won't open in PS when clicking on them in either Bridge or Mini-Bridge from within PS. In Mini-Bridge right clicking the image then "Open Image" does load the image in PS. However, in Bridge the only way is to right click on the image and choose "Open in Camera Raw"
I've made sure that PS CS5 is selected as the preferred program for TIFF files, but to no avail. The same applise to PSD files. Although, RAW files bring up Camera RAW by double clicking on them.
There must be an easy answer... and hopefully someone in the know sees these posts.

Why does my iPhone 4 gets very lag and unstable after updated to iOS 5.1?

I have been using iOS 5.0.1 previously without any problem and smooth, however after i updated to iOS 5.1, my phone is getting unstable.
Every time when i unlock my screen, it may lag for a few seconds. This issue does not happened when i'm using iOS 5.0.1. I did restore my phone using iTunes but the issue is still there. Anyone able to help me pls?

Try restarting your iPhone 5 by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo. Then give it a try.

Ipad2 very slow and crashing after OS8 upgrade 8.1.1

ipad2 very slow and crashing after OS8 upgrade 8.1.1. I have tried to restore, using the iCloud backup (twice) and it works well for a short while then slows and crashes again. Genius bar help said older versions of OS8 never closed apps, so a restore should fix it, but it didn't, even with a repeat.

Trash the preference file and restart (com.apple.safari.plist).

IOS 4.2 very slow and unstable

since updating to IOS4.2 my iphone 4 has the following symptoms:
- very slow to pop up with the keyboard
- very slow when typing (keeps getting stuck)
- slow switching between safari pages, and loading other pages
- slow when scrolling on anything
- randomly crashes and reboots
- it gets worse and worse after 10-15 mins of use
- it has become borderline un-usable!
on 4.1 there was a few minor bugs but it was generally fast/stable.
i have looked on itunes to see if i can restore it to a previous synch'd version of 4.1 but it doesnt look like i can, without deleting ALL of my apps, texts, photos, favourites etc!
this has got to be the biggest **** up ever, not only is IOS4.2 terrible on the iphone 4 but Itunes software is the most clunky useless lacking program for updating/restoring the iphone anyway.
i guess the next IOS update will be 2 - 3 months away and it might still be unstable, i dont know if i can live with it that long, i might aswell send it back as its still on warranty and insured....

IPhone5 slow and freezing after update

Since I've updated to iso8 my phone *****!!
most of my apps won't load without a huge lag when I click on them (even ones that have been updated for ios8) or they freeze and drop the PageI can't use google at all and Safari is hit and miss whether it will load a page, forget FB or my medical monitoring app for my son, plus I think my battery is draining a lot faster than before this.
I'm so disappointed, I was super excited about this update and it's turned out to be a nightmare as I can hardly use any feature in my phone.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

Safari slow slow slow and hangs after update?

After the recent update Safari loads slowly or not at all. It hangs mid-laod most of the time. My Macbook Pro is late 2008, osx lion

I am also having the same issue. Prior to updating the other night, my safari loading extremely fast. Now, pages take forever to load, some freeze and won't load at all, and yet others will load half way and then stop as though its done.
Anyone have suggestions?

Ipad 3 slow and lagging after update

MY ipad I used to love ...it worked nice without problems but now I have many issues that make me furious.
there re is a constant lag....even in typing this message the iPad cannot keep up....applications freeze....and the entire OS needs to constantly be rebooted....
what at is going on? Is it the update I was stupid enough to install?

I have two ipads on ios 8.1.3 so the issue isn't the software.
do a reset, hold down the h home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release. IF that doesn't work - then go to settings - general - reset - reset network settings - you will need to reenter known wifi password.
if that doesn't work then do this Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support

Wifi connection very slow and interrupted after several minutes

My wifi connection is interrupted after several minutes. I can restart the connection with wifi assisted, diagnose tool. It indicates always ISP failure. When I go through the assistant, it sows that the network connection was changed, and the wifi connection is back. But only for some minutes, then I have to go the the assistant again, and again and again. Also the wifi protocoll tool did not help me.
Meantime I don't have any problems with my IPad or Iphone.
In the web I found plenty of other users with MacBook Pro (Retina) OS X Yosemite, Version 10.10.2 with similar problems. When will apple fix this bug?
Do somebody has in idea how to fix it?

I have a "fresh" install from 2 weeks ago. It was installed with Kernel 3.12. I have a rtl8192cu, it was dreadful, so as recommended I installed dkms-8192cu and everything was perfect.
After the upgrade to Kernel 3.13, both with the standard driver and with dkms-8192cu my connection is very slow or unstable.
As an example, in theory I have 20m, with 3.12 I was around 14m. With 3.13 I am around 1m or less, I can barely update my system because:
error: failed retrieving file 's-nail-14.6.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz' from archlinux.polymorf.fr : Operation too slow. Less than 1 bytes/sec transferred the last 10 seconds
Wired everything goes fine.
I cannot downgrade to 3.12 because I need the new radeonsi improvements done with 3.13. I have this computer mostly to play Dota2.

After update to Lion, Numbers works very slow and clumsy. Any solution to fix this problem?

Don't know about being "slow" - I've always felt it was slow. I could run Office XP (maybe 2000 - not sure) on an 133 mhz Pentium and it was faster than Numbers on my late 2008 Aluminum MB.
But I've had other issues under Lion with it. It seems whenever I first go to my spreadsheets after the computer has been asleep - even if it is some time after waking it up - and start to enter some numbers, I'll get a beep and see that what I tried to type didn't come out right and I have to do it again.
I was wondering if it was something to do with the auto-save versions maybe kicking in when I first start to enter info, but before I finish the first entry.
