Very slow going from email to email and also deleting is very slow?
when I drop down to next email it is very slow and when I delete or open emails it is very slow??? It happen on desk top at home and laptop when I am away from home so I don't think it is the computer(s)?
well, during internet rush hours, for example, from dusk to mid-night, monday to friday, it is really common there. you can try some alternative there, I.E. 7/8/9, google chrome 10.x to have some test.

Copying text from emails and Word into a GoLive 9 webpage
Most of my web work involves copying and pasting text from emails and/or Word onto a page created in GoLive and uploading it to the web. In the past this has never been a problem with previous versions of GoLive. Now with GoLive 9, I constantly get extra characters appearing such as "" where almost every space is located between sentences. Foreign characters often appear as strange symbols whereas they copied over perfectly (French and German-type accents etc) before.
When I copy something I now have to go to a menu item [type/HTML/paragraph format] to turn "paragraph" off which helps get rid of the extra formatting not wanted (often everything appears in a large bold font, even though it wasn't like this in the original document). Also until I turn off "paragraph" I am unable to align any of the text as it has a mind of its own, regardless of what the webpage is specifying, (ie left alignment, centred etc).
Is there any way to copy and paste text without having to editor and reformat it - just as one used to do in all previous versions of GoLive?That is an interesting idea but is still really a lot of unnecessary mucking around when GoLive 9 should do all this automatically with no fuss at all. I have been using GL since its early PageMill days and never had this problem before.
I understand what you mean by using a blank page - I might give it a try.
I found CS2 was getting slower and slower on my PowerPC. I now have an Intel iMac. Sometimes I would go to open a GL file and I could make a cup of tea waiting for it to open (admittedly it was a large file with lots of table cells and photos). Now I can open the same file in a few seconds using GL9. I looked up the Adobe support for 10.5 and it was listed as having issues which wouldn't be resolved. Photoshop Elements 4 was listed the same yet I had had no problems with it. A friend had huge problems with InDesign when he changed to 10.5. I guess it varies from computer to computer.
Only yesterday my GL9 refused to open and thanks to these forums, we found out that yesterday's Opera browser update was the culprit. Having had such quick success using these forums I thought I would give this annoying copying problem a try and see if there was some setting I could change or something I could do to correct the fault. -

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

How can I change the settings wit mail so that when I delete my Verizon email from my iPhone it will also delete from my iPad too.... Seems like I shouldn't have to delete my email in three places...iPhone ..iPad ...and desktop
Don't know which email host you are using, but if this is a POP account, you can't do it. If IMAP, then deleting one email should delete it on all other devices.

I have Windows XP laptop. Can I get the photos Saved on the iPad1 iOS4.3 from emails and websites etc. Onto my laptop as backup or in case I want to delete the photos from the iPad?
It never seems to synch fully with the laptop?Ivon, when you are satisfied that you have successfully imported the new folders to the iPad you can go back (as I have described above) and delete the originals of those you copied out in order to avoid 'duplication' and also save space.
The method I have described also has advantages over creating new albums within the Photos app on the iPad since it 'duplicates' the photos and only permits the deletion of all so called copies. King_Penguin is correct when he states you can copy out photos originally taken with the iPad etc.

I can't prevent Spotlight from returning results from emails and Safari
Try as I might, I can't prevent Spotlight from returning results from emails and from Safari web browser history.
I've toggled the two relevant boxes in the Spotlight system preferences, and rebuilt the index, but it still returns results from categories that I have deselected (like emails and webpages).
The system preferences say "Only selected categories will appear in Spotlight search results". If only it were true!I think this could be a reason, your settings regarding indexing of mail messages didn't stick.
I'm having other problems with security update 2008-005.
It'd be interesting to know if OnyX is able to fix your problem again. Hopefully its doings survive the next update. -
Can I set my iphone 6 up so that when I delete an email from my computer it will also delete from my phone?
To do that you need to be using an IMAP type email account rather than a POP type. Check with your email provider to see if they provide this service and, if so, switch to it on all your devices.

I'm trying to figure out why my macbook keeps freezing when I try to drag my data across to it (even small files from a USB).
I've had to force restart over a dozen times today :/

HozThanks - I had a 1TB hdd in my macbook for about 12 months but it started playing up a few days ago (I got the question mark folder on bootup) so I bought another 1TB hdd (same model) and started from scratch.
My macbook is an early 2010... now I'm wondering if Yosemite is a bit too much for it?
The ext hdd is my timemachine backup, so yes I have used it often and it has my TM backups - and the usb is a new usb which Ive used a few times.
The issue seems to be when Im transferring files from an ext drive to my mac. I can use it fine and browse (worked find for 45 mins) then I tried to bring my data across.. and it copied a few gig over before total freeze.
This has happened about a dozen times.
I keep running disk utility and checking the disk. I also just ran the apple diagnostics tool that came in the apps cd - the hardware apears to be fine.
I have a 250 gb partition for the OS and the rest is my second partition for data.
I'm now wondering if I should reformat the first partition, install leopard from the CD, then upgrade to mavericks and leave it at that.
Any thoughts would be awesome. Thank you for reading and replying!

Correct. There is only one photo and it is in the camera roll. The folders you create are just a way to organize the pics. it does not create a duplicate pic.
Just as a song is in your library and a playlist, a pic is in the camera roll and the folder.
If you delete a song from the library, then it is gone. The same is true of pics. -

Albums is a way or sorting photos. Photos aren't moved from the Camera roll. The Camera Roll consists of all the photos on the phone. If you delete from Camera Roll they are deleted everywhere but Photo Stream.
Are you using Photo Stream? Your photos, providing they wer recent should still be in Photo Stream. If you have Photo Stream set up on your computer they should all be there. -

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.

I add all photos taken on camera roll to individual albums. However, once a photo is deleted from camera roll, it's also deleted from the albums where it also resides. Is there a way to delete or clear out the camera roll but keep them in albums?

When I send an iMessage it sends from my email address rather than my phone number how can i change this to being sent from just my number as when people reply they are going to my email and not my iPhone??
Go to your contacts and look up your own contact. To check if you have created an "I", which mean a "yourself" go to "Settings - Mail, Contacts, etc.". Under Contacts you will find "My Infos".
At this point you should see your own name. If not, press on "My Infos" and create yourself on your iPhone. (Phone number, etc.). If you see your name at "My Infos" press on it an check if you have typed in your correct phone number.
You can also go to Settings - Phone and look up if your number is saved under "My Number".
