Very Slow rendering

I just started tinkering with LT and even for small simple renders it seems to take so long. Is there a setting I should change? I know I do not have the fastest processor but it seems to work fine in FCEHD. Thanks in advance!

"Long" doesn't mean anything, I'm afraid. You'd have to give us some kind of benchmark that can be replicated and compared.
Long is also relative. After Effects used to take a weekend to do ten seconds of one effect on a single layer.

Cad converted to PDF, very slow rendering upon opening Document.

The Rendering when opening the document is very slow.
It takes about 45 seconds to open, then it freezes for another 10 seconds before one can view it.
iv'e read alot and tried different suggestions, but no solution so far.
Testet on Adobe Reader 10.1 and 9.2, and Acrobat 9.1. All the same.
The Document it self has been coverted form Cad to PDF, and has a very large resolution, it is 1.8MB, upon opening Reader uses about half a gig ram.
I've read that on opening, it has to rescale the image to fit ones resolution, and this is what takes time?
Simply wondering if anyone has any solution or explanation to why.

Drive A is 60 GB with 3.66GB free.
Running OSX from that drive should really slow it to a Crawl, and is getting to the dangerous point... you need at least 12GB fre, 30 GB would be better.
Nt certain why the other is so slow... did you open Activity Monitor & observe CPU, Memory & such while it is slow?
If you can free some space on the Internal, Might give a try with Applejack...

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, then when the prompt shows, type in...
applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 5 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.

Very slow rendering in FCP X 10.1

Rendering is taking forever. I'm using FCP X 10.1 on a MBPr with 16GB RAM and 512 SSD. Should be much quicker. Background rendering is turned off.
Is there another setting that I'm overlooking that might be slowing things down? Any ideas?

AE CC very slow rendering

I just updated to the latest version of AE CC.
Now rendering in the AE render queue is extremly slow.
Projects that took an hour or two now take 12 hours or even longer!
It is the same running it through adobe media encoder!
Update:
It might be related to "upscaling" using the detail-preserving-filter.
It looks like these renderings are extremly slow with the new AE CC update.
The problem did not occur before.
Mac Pro
12-core
32 GB RAM
OSX Lion 10.7.5
Sonnet Raid DX800

After a lot of testing it seems that AECC has indeed a huge problem rendering files when using detailed preserving upscale.
The rendering time in AE and ME are extremely high which means instead of 3 hours for a feature film of 90 minutes it takes 20 hours or more.
There are no other effects used at all!
When rendering a portion in RAM preview it does the job as expected but rendering out is a nightmare.
As we experienced even standard up-scaling has this issue.0
Is there anybody of Adobe to have a look at this? Detailed preserving upscale is a nice feature and was strongly advertised by Adobe.
But it should work much quicker. Obviously CS6 is not a solution for us.

Radeon 9200, VERY slow rendering

Hi, i had to install radeon9200 instead my old GF6600GT in arch machine.
According to wiki, i have installed xf86-video-ati driver. I don't have xorg.conf.
Each time after login in KDM, when splash screen is displayed, display goes blank (or total mess) for about 1 second.
Later, in KDE, rendering is terribly SLOW.
I have fully updated system.
I have found in log this:

What does it mean? Why rendering is even slower than old GF2 MX400 ?

Without knowing the detailed specs of your video (or the detailed specs of your computer hardware), I'd say that most likely it's that your phone video using a high compression that Premiere Elements has to decode and then re-encode. And that can take time.
With standard video on a decently powered computer, it usually takes about the running time of the video to create a DVD. But phone and other non-camcorder video can take twice the video's running time -- or more, depending on how fast your processor is.

Very slow Rendering and Exporting

I switched to Premiere CS6 from FCP 7 after FCPX came out and haven't looked back. In a lot of ways, it's much better for certain tasks.
In others, it's not. Initially playing back "red-lined" content worked fine and i was able to view the edit before I committed to render/export.
Now, I see every 10 frames or so and it skips and stutters. Rendering and exporting times have spiked dramatically over the past month
for some unknown reason. I have a small prod company and we're using Mac Pro's (8-Core) with min of 16GBs of RAM in each.
I know there are 101 factors that go into export time, I'm just wondering if anyone if encountering the same issues.
I just pieced together a 10-min video in FCP7, all ProRes files with minimal cutting and it exported in 2.5 minutes.
The same project on Premiere was telling me 3 hours. I don't get it.
Can anyone shed any light on this?

Rendering times are not decided purely on the length of the video.
The type of effects you have added have more impact.
Also you cannot always trust the estimated time you are given.
Have you let it render for about an hour to see whether the estimate drops dramatically?

Very very slow rendering

Hi, I purchased Pro_Motion_Menu_Kit_02 from precomposed.com, this is to add moving menus to DVDs, it allows you to add your own still images and short film footage (30 secs or so )to personalise it. When i purchased the Menu I had CS4, now Ive got CS5. I never tried the menu with CS4. As of yet Ive only got to the rendering tutorial and put the various items in the render queue and started the render process ( around 8 items). The first item takes over 3 hours to complete so Ive stopped the process as the other 7 items will take around a day to complete. since the instuation of CS5 ive upgraded my graphics card to Nvidia quadro FX 5600 which should be able to cope with the menu easily. Is there something Im doing wrong that makes the rendering process take so long? Im a novice so a number of things could be going wrong. May-be Ive not installed the graphis card so that CS5 recognises it and lets it do some of the processing itself? my OS is windows 7 unlimited and Ive got quad core and 8gb of RAM. This is my first time using after effects as well.

Let's cut to the point, shall we?: You have enabled MP rendering (Render Multiple Frames Simultanously) most likely and due to your inexperience you use the "dumb" default settings and it's completely whacking out your system, since you don't have enough RAM vs. the number of cores involved. Therefore please read the relevant help sections first. Also, depending on your settings, CoDecs and effects could be involved that are not MP safe and degrade performance, but without knowing teh exact specs, that's impossible to tell...

I can have a comp in AE that might take 5 min to render it but as soon as I put it in Premeire with Dynamic Link
it can take 15 or 20 min,

your comment was the key for my problem. The Magic Bullet effects setting was on GPU Rendering! After setting on CPU everythink goes fine.

Very Slow preview rendering for lightroom 5 on import

I am seeing very very slow rendering of preview images only when using the import function in lightroom 5. By slow, I mean for a shoot of 60 shots in raw, it could take 30 minutes before I can preview them all in the pane to see which ones I want to actually import. This was not an issue with lightroom 4. It is not an issue when using lightroom. Previews are fast there, even for images I've never pulled up before.
My hardware is a PC, with an intell i7 chip, and 16 gig of memory. My nvidia graphics card has the latest drivers.
I've seen a few others reporting this issue, so I'm trying to log it as a bug. Even though the dial up support text on the adobe lightroom says available 24/7, it now plays a voice recording that says only available m-f.

I'm having the same problem using Windows 7 (64b). I just took a shoot over the weekend for a significant birthday event. Now I can't load the photos. The work-around doesn't work as the program freezes before I get the chance to select the camera under "files".
I recently upgraded from 3.6 to 5 as I was also noticing a slowdown in the import function. That turned out to be a bad move I think. I also deliberately cleaned up the CF card and removed all my video recordings, as this seems to be reported as part of the problem, but to no avail.
This seems to be a pretty major bug to have in a major release that's been around for a while now, that I'm expected to pay for, and no sign of a resolution to date!

FOI theme (Oracle Maps) rendering very slow

I sniffed the network traffic when a FOI theme is rendered on a map. I determined that for each feature of the theme a network request is sent to the server fetching the corresponding marker. Fetching markers has a big impact on the performance.
I think that fetching the same marker for each feature is not nessary.
Is there a way (undocumented feature or patch) to avoid this from happening?

Experienced the same issue. I would like to hear from Oracle Maps development team if they are going to do something with it because our Map with active theme is very slow (rendering of markers and also panning the map). Without active markers it's fast.

Very slow display of whatu0092s typed in

Sometimes the user experiences a very slow rendering of what he's just
typed in: he types in for example the note for an Interaction Record
and instead of the text instantaneously showing up sometimes only the
first letters appear and then it takes 2,3 seconds for the rest to
display (when its worse it does not show up at all so the user lost what theyd thought they typed in) .
Also, other times when they click into an input field it takes time for the cursor to appear so they have to wait to be able to type in. And it happens to most users, but very sporadically and it is very annoying as it is a call center and this issue slows down the users.
Im pretty sure this is client PC related but how can I identify whats going on ?
I witnessed this happening, Task Manager was displayed as well but I could see no other process taking up the CPU as I was told it could be the cause.
However, in this case the time lag wasnt very noticeable so perhaps this was the reason that I could see nothing out of the ordinary in the Task Manager (i.e. it was too fast to be able to notice anything unusual).

I am running into the same situation. Sometimes I have to cold boot the Win 8.1 to get the mouse to work. Still it takes a minute before the mouse connects. I have a Macbook Air (2013). I am trying to find a solution as well. Have you found anything?

PDF-Rendering is very slow

on our local test-environment with CF 8.01 we have no problem to create a pdf with cfdocument-tag.

but our productive-server (the same CF-version as the local testserver) is working very slow, and when I say slow I mean minutes not a view seconds more.
I have no idea where this discrepance is comming from, especially as we could observe the pdf-rendering on fusion-reactor witch makes it rather improbable that - as we first thought - our firewall is slowing down the process.
does anyone out there has an idea where the problem could be located or had someone in this forum experienced a simular pdf-pitfall?

Try an app called skim which is free it handles pdfs nicely and looks similar to the preview app.
Also if a pdf is slow to scroll try selecting all the pages goto file print. Then on the bottom left hand side of the print window select pdf and then save as pdf. I have found on some pdfs (usually the ones in black and white and look like a photo copy) using the the print save as pdf option has then allowed me to view a pdf fine in the preview app without any issues. SSRS Subreport - Renders very slow

I have a subreport which is embedded in the main report (form report) which is inturn embedded in a list. The report is executed for different levels with each level having different number of records (say 100, 150, etc.) and gives us a form for each
of the records on a single page. That is the report will have 150 pages for 150 records. My subreport renders very fast when it is run stand alone. Even the SPs written for the subreport are giving results within seconds. But when embedded in the main
report, the whole report is rendering very slow.
I tried passing the parameters to the subreport in two different ways:
1. Assigned the main dataset's record id to the subreport which gives correct data but taking very long time to generate the report.
2. Assigned the main dataset's record id to a hidden parameter and passing that parameter to the subreport as a parameter. This way the report renders very fast but the subreport is always giving the results for the first record id. That is even for the
second record, the subreport is showing up the first record's details which is incorrect.
Have been struggling with this issue for a while. Request you to help me in this regard.

According to your description, it seems that the issue is caused by the parameters. Please check the parameters setting of each subreport control in the main report. Make sure the data types are the same between the parameters, and the values passed to the
subreport parameters are correct.
As to the report performance, we can refer to the ExecutionLog View to monitor it. The total time to generate a reporting server report (RDL) can be divided into 3 elements:
Total time = (TimeDataRetrieval) + (TimeProcessing) + (TimeRendering)

Webpage rendering is very slow on max (os10.4.x; firefox 3.6.10) This is a recent development. Rendering on Vista PC is very fast. Why?

In the past 3 days website rendering on my mac is very slow (25 sec to render NYTimes page). This happens on 2 macs (os 10.4.x; firefox 3.6.10) and second mac is (os 10.5.x and firefox 3.6.10). Started recently. Most webpages take 15 to 25 seconds to render. Onsame network a pc laptop renders in 3 sec. What might the problem be?
