Very Slow running dashboards/swf not loading

I have built a number of dashboards and sent them round to colleagues in my company (either embedded in powerpoint or as swf to open in IE). We have no probelms viewing these dashboards internally but when we send them out to clients they cannot view them.
It seems like the swf files are just not loading, or are incredibley slow (so slow that the client has given up on them) has anyone else encountered problems like this? Could there be some security issues; when the files pass onto another network the swf is halted?
Hope someone can help!

There is known issue with xcelsius 2008 when exported to PPT..
Check this and do the work around mentioned.. it will work,but very slow.
I don't know its a problem with xcelsius or with my laptop?

I would suggest not to start troubleshooting the issue before bouncing the application services at this may do the trick. As you see, we have not got much details about the error in the log files, so this cannot help and the proper action would be bouncing the services and see if the issue is reproducible or not.
To list the running forms session, I believe the document referenced above should be helpful.

Very Slow Video that Does Not Fully Load on Macbook Pro

Hi,
I have a macbook pro from 2007 (Mac OS X 10.4.11) and I have never had any issues with streaming video until yesterday. I have fast internet, and I can browse quickly, but my video is recently being very slow and won't fully load. It always says 14 out of 16 things loaded or some other number when I try to play a video. I have tried resetting Safari and emptying my cache to speed it up several times with no luck. I have Safari 4.1.2. I am wondering what I need to do to get this fixed as soon as possible because there are some important videos I need to watch for classes.

Do you have the same problem w/streaming videos using other browsers? Suggest that you re-post over in the Safari for Mac forums as your problem is not MBP related but rather software.

Since update, various sites load very slowly and some do not load until "Reload Current Page" is clicked several times.

Since Firefox update (6.0.2) many sites load very slowly and some do not load at all (green circle rotates infinitely) until "Reload Current Page" is clicked on 2 to 12 times.
Returned to version 5. No more slow load.
Automatically re-updated me to 6.0.2 and now slow again.
Returned to FF 5 again and turned off automatic update.
Downloaded 7.0.1 and the problem seems to be solved.

Same here, only that updating to 7.0 or 7.0.1 doesn't seem to solve this issue. Seems to have something to do with loading images (e.g: adobe.com stops loading when "wwwimages.adobe.com" is being loaded. imdb.com, on the other hand, seems to load images very slowly and not all of them).
Safe-mode. disabling add-ons, clearing cache and cookies and checking for malware doesn't help.

SWFs not loading in Air 4.0... for iOS

Hi,
I've read some of the posts about the problem of SWFs not loading in iOS. This seemed to have to do with the SWFs having code. We removed code from the SWFs and In previous releases, using previous SDKs (I don't remember the last one that worked) we had everything working. But in the latest version compiled with the latest SDK (4.0...) none of the SWFs load.
of course I'm learning about this late in the game.
One more piece of information. I did a test with an application that just loads one codeless SWF and have exactly the same result.
If anyone has any ideas, I would be very grateful.

So code or no code external SWFs require a loader context.
I borrowed this directly from a kglad response:
var lc:LoaderContext=new LoaderContext(false,ApplicationDomain.currentDomain,null);
When I add the LoaderContext to the loader (at least with my experimental app) the SWF loads.
Also from kglad's example: yourloader.load(yourexternalswf.swf,lc);

Firefox continually stops responding, is very slow and I can't load games on it

I have Vista Home Premium 32 Bit OS. Normally, Firefox is very stable and totally reliable, but it has been "stalling" more and more often: not responding for a period and then starting again. Now, though, it only lasts a few seconds before it stalls again. It is very slow. I can't load games (from Pogo.com).
I have cleared my temporary internet files, updated Java and restarted my computer several times. Nothing helps. What can I do.
When I restart, it has been taking over 10 minutes before my computer is ready to use again.

Im glad Im not the only one. I have tried everything I can think of, and I dont seem to have any infections of any kind, but Mozilla is molassas in January slow. So slow that using my mouse and typing is ridiculous. I just cant see what I am typing it takes so long to post its likes a paragraph behind my writing. Im on IE (which I loathe) to type this.

Do you mean your iPhone got wet in the rain? If so, turn it off, put it in a plastic bag with some uncooked rice and let it dry out for several days (minimum). You might want to change the rice out every day too, especially if you notice it swelling (from moisture coming out of the phone).
Continue to use it and you risk further harm from continued water damage. If it does not work after drying out, then you can take it to Apple and pay for an out of warranty exchange (water damage voids the warranty, so you would have to pay the replacement fee).

It depends on your Macbook model how to open the bottom case.
Anyway you need to open up the buttom case or keyboard panel to access the CPU fan like following.

Flex 2 SWF not loading on the web browser when Flash Player 8 is running

I got a Flex 2 application that is not loading on the web
browser when the users workstations got Macromedia Flash Player 8
installed. Please advice on what could be the issue, i got security
calls included i.e. securty.allowInsucureDomain, crossdomain.xml,
etc.
The application shows no issues on web browsers with Flash
Player 9 installed.

flex 9 is complete rewrite (almost) and its lot mor fast and
effecient) you should't want to use flash 8 if you can anyways, but
somethimes I guess there is not other way out..

Dashboard will not load

My latest frustration.My computer tells me that it is communicating with my device however, I'm stuck with the "circle of death" and it will not load the dashboard. I have tried both wireless and USB connections with the same result.Just to be clear, dashboard loaded and worked great yesterday.

The only fix was to uninstall and re-install link, driver, and blend. Not a very happy few hours.Oh well, it's up and running and I am going to start the weekend with red wine and turning off my computer. Cheers, see you Monday blackberry.

Officejet 6700 very slow to print does not scan to Imac

I just purchased a new officejet 6700 from Costco it takes at least 10 min to print if at all and does not scan to Imac the current osx is snow leopard 10.6.8 using an airport time machine as a my wireless router / backup I have charter internet with ARRIS modem model # TM502G its also very slow to run any functions in the hp utility I did notice that the home network ip and printer ip are different don't know if that is an issue or not any help would be appreciated thanx.

What program are you printing from? Do you notice this issue occur from using multiple program(s)?
Please follow this entire HP document on Slow Printing. Make sure you choose your correct operating system.
You did indicate that your printer's IP address and your home network are different. The first three numbers of the IP address should be the same, but the last number(s) should be different. Please reference this HP document on Wireless Basic.
Are you receiving any error message indicating why you are unable to scan a document to your computer?
If you are receiving a "Connection Error", then please follow this HP document here. If the scanning software isn't responding, then follow this HP document here.
Please inform me your troubleshooting steps.

Gallery tree swf not loading

I am using the gallery_tree.fla provided in the Samples for
Flash 8 Pro to build a small photo gallery, substituting the name
of my xml file in this line of code in the action script:
treeDP_xml.load("bbq_gallery_07.xml"); .
I used the gallery_tree.xml, substituting my image filenames
in the nodes. I placed the images, the .xml and the .swf in the
same folder. The .swf will play if I open it on my local machine in
a browser, but on the web server, it just continues to show the
loader but no images or tree.
My .xml and Actionscript is attached. Suggestions as to my
problem?

Seems odd it will only run once. Usually if a cache problem
you get the same
results even when you update the movie or server scripts.
If it is
http:// it is not local even if from the browser
cache.
Verify the html is validated.
Check to see if this applies to all swfs. Create a simple
hello world swf
that connects to a JSP script that returns a simple value to
Flash. If that
seems to work, then the problem is in the JSP or
Actionscripting coding.
Check you can load the JSP script repeatedly using a direct
call to it on
the browser line using

SWF not Loaded 100% using SWFLoader !!!!!!!

Iam working in Flex Project, i got hung up with a issue with SWFLoader, I have main application and a sub application developed in FLEX 3, the sub application contains the flex pages of DashBoard screen, the SWF of sub application is loaded in main application using SWFLoader. if the browser is opened full , the SWF is loaded 100% , if the browser is opened 75% the swf is not loaded fully. when the browser is maximized the SWF is not displayed full screen. the issue is THE SWF IS GETTING LOADED ACCORDING TO THE BROWSER SIZE, WHEN BROWSER IS MAXIMIZED THE SWF IS DISPLAYED SAME WHEN BROWSER WAS 75% AND NOT EXPANDED .if anybody come across this issue, pls post reply , thanks.
The swf of subApplication is loaded in the main with the code:

The width and height of thr subApplication and the Main Application are set as 100%.
when the width and height of the subApplication is set as :
width=Capabilities.screenResolutionX;
height = Capabilities.screenResolutionY;
the SWF loads fully and correctly when the browser is opened 100% but when the browser is 75% open, the SWF gets loaded according to the browser.

Setting width/height will turn off % sizing and might affect resizing as you have now fixed its width/height.
See if the resizeHandler gets called on the Application. You may also need height=100% on the Canvas

Very slow running CUITs in both Visual Studio and Microsoft Test Manager

I've tried the exact same test cases on another less powerful computer and it runs perfectly. However on one machine it runs very slow. It seems to take ages finding execute each step. Not sure what is going on. Help greatly appreciated.

Based on your issue, I suggest you could try to create a simple coded UI test such as you can record the Calculator action and then check if you still get the issue about
running CUITs very slow in VS.
In addition, I suggest you could try to delete all the temp files from your system and other temp files, or in short you can just log off and then log in back again....you'll definitely find your automation run faster.
There are two blogs shared us some suggestions to improve the coded UI test performance, I often use them, if possible, please check them.
