Very Strange K7n2delti ILSR Harddisk Issue

Not happy.
Purchased the system board barton 2500 1 gig 333ram
The ram makes the bois beeps, i'm getting it replaced but my real problem is now with harddisks
Started with a WD1200JB no problems, added a Seagate Serial ATA drive and all of a sudden this problem started happening.
In OS and drive would make this "whirrrr click" sound like it was trying to attempt to read something from the disk but couldnt
Thought it was a problem mixing serial ATA and my WD1200JB, removed the WD1200JB and just used the Serail Seagate.
Problem still happened.
Used just the WD1200jb installed os.. everything fine for a week again then..
Problem still happened.
Tried yet another regualr disk everything was fine for a while then
Problem still happened.
Removed all non essential power drains from the 450psu reset the bois reinstalled just using my usb modem and mouse.
Problem still happened.
This is not just a windows driver problem with the drivers being as the Whirr click sound can start as soon as boot.
There seems to be no way on the bois to completly disable the promise serial controller.
Think the problem could just be on IDE0 so im thinking is the onboard IO shot on the system board or what??
Is this a common problem?

post psu max amps 3.3 5 and 12v and make model
^^ Standard 450 job, no idea on details m8, the fact that everything was working for so long and i've removed devices makes me think this aint really the issue now.
is the wd jumperless if it has no slave on the ide
^^ the wd is set to master my other drive set to slave.  However this problem happens whether i use one sata drive only, one ata133 drive only or any combination.  I don't think its the drives.
did you install raid drivers when you tried the sata
^^ Setting up winxp you have to hit f6 to specify the xp promise controller drivers, the os ones were tripple checked.  (However again this problem happened when using only ata133 drives also rules it out)
did you go in raid bios and create an array
^^ Did when using the SATA drive.  when removing the sata drive i tried the ctrl f or whatever the button combo to enter the drive configuration to remove it, but it said bois is not installed etc.  which i took to mean (no drive connected so im not gonna load)
I'm thinking its a problem with the promise controller itself or the onboard i/o  ?(
Thanks for your help its appriciated.

  • Very strange internet connection speed issue,

    Good Evening all.
    I have a strange issue.   I got hooked up with a new ISP a few weeks ago and since that time I have had very slow PC connection speeds.   I have done speed tests,  and I get between 16 and 17mbps down,  but the PC runs and acts like I am getting 4 to 5mbps.  I have a Compaq Presario running Windows Vista Home Premium.  Service Pack 2.  There is 3 gig of ram and a 3ghz processor, with a 32 bit OS.
    Here is how the setup looks.   The netgear modem is plugged into a regular phone jack and then goes through a router and then it is hardwired to the PC.  If I wire the PC direcly to the modem instead of going through the router,  I get the same mbps no matter what.  Between 16 and 17.
    The wierd thing is that I can watch a movie on Netflix through my Wii with no issues.    This is strange to me because I would figure there to be more issues with wireless connections rather than wired connections.
    I have a netgear modem and a netgear router.
    I am almost wondering if my PC is not processing the incoming speed correctly.   I don't know if this is correct,  because I used to have Xfinity internet before this new internet and had absolutely no problems.  BTW my new ISP is called Edge Networks.  The boast speeds up to 30mbps.  I know that 16 to 17 is pretty good,  I just do not know why It seems like I am not getting anywhere near that.
    While on the subject,  I also have another PC that I have gotten a USB adapter and am using wireless to access the internet.   This PC gets 5 to 6mbps down.   It is a Compaq running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1.  It has 3 gig ram and a 64 bit OS  with a 2.3ghz processor.
    I do not have a clue why I have such slow inernet page loading speeds,  other than the possibility that my PC's are just severly outdated.
    Can anyone help explain this issue?

    Evadfa, welcome to the forum.
    I suggest contacting your ISP for help with the problem.  They should be able to help you since they know their product better than anyone.  I don't believe that it is a computer problem, since it is happening on two separate computers.

  • Files transferred to external HD end up in trash - very strange issue

    Hi,
    I seem to be having a very strange issue, hopefully somebody can help or has seen this before.
    Hardware: MacBook Air, Western Digital Passport external HD, 250gb, formatted NTFS.
    Software: OSX 10.7 Lion, Paragon (allows me to write to an NTFS formatted HD)
    Issue Summary: I copy something to the external HD; I empty trash; the file I copied is deleted from the external HD. It doesn't happen every time.
    I do also seem to have a persistent folder in trash called "WD Sync Data" that won't go away unless I re-delete it as it's also in the root of the drive. Not sure if this is related somehow.
    Recently I copied 3 video files inside a folder to the HD, then disconnected the HD. When I reconnected it a while later and noticed that inside the "WD Sync Data" folder in trash were the 3 files I'd copied. I then looked inside the same folder on the root of the drive and the files were there, instead of inside the folder that I'd copied to the drive, which had vanished. If I hadn't noticed and had emptied the trash, those files would've been deleted.
    It's definitely happened more than once; last time I actually deleted the files from my computer after copying, then emptied trash, and they were gone from the external HD also.
    I've only found one person who seemed to be experiencing a similar problem back in 2010. It sounds similar though it could've been user error: http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/apple-notebooks/188224-weird-external-hard-driv e-trash-problem-help-please.html
    Has anyone experienced this or have any suggestions?

    Quick update: I ran a verify then a repair in Disk Utility as there were a couple of errors. Hopefully this has solved the issue, however it'd still be interesting to know if anyone's come across this before and what caused it?

  • A very very strange issue on BlazeDS Deserializing

    Hi all,
    I run into a very very strange issue on BlazeDS Deserializing. Is there any hint or idea?  Thanks a lot!
    Scenario 1:
    Both the browser(firefox or IE) and the midtier (BlazeDS ,java) are on the same machine.
    Actual result:
    Everything works fine.  All the properties in the Flex Object could be mapped to the Java Class
    Scenario 2:
    The browser(firefox or IE) and the midtier (BlazeDS ,java) are on the different machine.
    Actual result:
    Sometimes it works fine.
    And most of the time it does not work fine. Only the data in List is mapped correctly. All the values of simple data type such as int are mapped to 0 .
    Let me simplify the problem.
    The objects of Class B is always stored in the ArrayCollection  assocItems of Class A
    Flex side:
    public class A {
    public var id: int;
    public var  name: String;
    public var assocItems: ArrayCollection=new ArrayCollection();
    public class B {
    public var id: int;
    public var  assocItems : ArrayCollection=new ArrayCollection();
    The id , name in Flex Class A and assocItems in Class B could be  deserialize to correct value .  But the id of Class B is always mapped to 0. This is not correct.
    The log level of BlazeDS is configured to Debug. From the log I can see that  each value is passed from Flex side to Java server side correctly.
    [BlazeDS][INFO] Channel endpoint my-amf received request.
    [BlazeDS][DEBUG] Deserializing AMF/HTTP request
    Version: 3
    (Message #0 targetURI=null, responseURI=/18)
    (Array #0)
    [0] = (Typed Object #0 'flex.messaging.messages.RemotingMessage')
    However, the Java object does not get the correct value of B.id.
    In conclusion,
    1. It’s an issue with only default types
    2. It does not occur every time
    3. It does not occur when the browser(firefox or IE) and the midtier (BlazeDS ,java) are on the same machine
    Have you ever run into the similar problems? And what’s your solution?

    I checked, when I hard-code the constant in linq, the generated sql is like this:
    SELECT "Extent1"."AA" AS "AA"
    FROM (SELECT "TBL"."AA" AS "AA"
    FROM "USERNAME"."TBL" "TBL") "Extent1"
    WHERE ('1062303212007000121' = "Extent1"."AA")
    if I pass a variable to the query with same value, the sql is like this:
    SELECT "Extent1"."AA" AS "AA"
    FROM (SELECT "TBL"."AA" AS "AA"
    FROM "USERNAME"."TBL" "TBL") "Extent1"
    WHERE ("Extent1"."AA" = '1062303212007000121' /* @p__linq__0 */) (@p__linq__0 is passed as parameter)
    The only difference is a paramter. I can't figure out why there is such a impact on performance.

  • Premiere Pro CS5.5 -very strange issue with the color tones and Preview-

    I deal with a very strange and not usual problem in Premiere Pro CS5.5 (also the version CS5). What I try to do is just a simple color correction. The problem occurs when I try to use Three Way Color Corrector but it happens with Fast Color Corrector also.
    When applying the Three-Way Color Correction and without changing anything else (just applying), can be seen in the preview of the soft how sudden changes in color tones. For example, the gray tone becomes a little more green, but also can be seen very easy a change in the other color tones too. In fact even RGB Parade show the same thing. This is very, very strange and unacceptable and saw that it happens when trying to use Colorista II too.
    I tried the same thing in Sony Vegas Pro 11 and I downloaded the trial version of Edius 6 to convince me if the same thing happens. Not! In Sony Vegas and Edius everything is working correctly, I have not experienced these problems in the preview's of this 2 others softs.
    This issue is very annoying because every possible color correction is based on what we see in the preview and if in this preview the tones are seen altered realize that can not make a decent color correction. So what happens here?!? I uploaded a small video demonstration to see very clearly about what I'm talking. You can see in the next link: http://vimeo.com/35317616

    Yes Jim, you're right. No changes in the scopes when one just apply RGB Curves, Fast Color Corrector, RGB Color Corrector  or the Three way Color Corrector (last three thanks to the new update 6.03). I already wrote that Adobe team has been able to fix this bug for some of the tools/effects.
    But Brightness&Contrast? Change Color? Color Balance? Levels? MBLooks? Twixtor? Colorista II? Does it seem normally that all scopes or just one of them jump when you just apply one of these effects/tools? Not to say that in some situations even the tones change (especially in shadows&midtones).
    You say this is something "very minimal". I say it is not so. I don't find normally to make a very detalied CC with Three way Color Corrector and then when applying Colorista/MBLooks, for example, the scopes jump and inclusively some tones may be influenced. And I left clear examples in this topic where you can see that this is possible. I don't know if this is "very minimal" or not, but is really so impossible to edit in Premiere without this "very minimal" issue?!? How can it be possible in other softs (Edius, Media Composer, Vegas Pro) and in Premiere not?!?
    One more thing: many of us use intermediate codecs in the editing process. Do you find normally that a AVCHD video have the lumninance at approximately 110IRE, to export it directly to Cineform and then import it in Premiere, and the waveform shows the luminance at 100IRE?!? How is this possible?!? So the AVCHD video have a 110IRE luminance, you convert this video to Cineform without changing anything, and then this Cineform video have the luminance at 100IRE?!? And anyone can verify this example.
    So, how can one trust in this soft?!?

  • Very Strange Touchscreen Issue

    I recieved and activated my new 8GB iPhone about two days ago and it worked great up until just a few hours ago. I am experiencing the known issue of the bottom 1/2 inch or so of the touchscreen not responding to my touch, which in turn is affecting a lot of main elements of the phone such as SMS, e-mail, iPod, etc. Among that issue, I also encountered a very strange occurrence whilst I was testing the 'dead zone' on my iPhone: Certain sections of the dead zone work if I hover my finger about 2 -3 centimeters from the screen. It is a very strange thing but true, lol. I can even capture video footage of this if it's necessary.
    Since I bought my iPhone from an AT&T store, should I return it to them for a new one on the spot or should I do it through Apple? I hope it doesn't come down to the latter since I do not live anywhere near an Apple Store (New Orleans, LA) and I just switched from T-Mobile to AT&T so I'd really hate to purchase a cheap temporary phone while my iPhone is being replaced/fixed.
    Edit: Have a Merry Christmas, everyone!
    Message was edited by: Fiyerstorm

    I just talked to Apple Support and they are going to repair it for me, it's just I need to wait til Friday since I am broke from Christmas! Once I get paid, then I can dish out the 30 dollars to get a rental iPhone to hold me over. The restore temporarily fixed the touchscreen issue since it happened again hours later.
    Also, nobody I know who would have a spare AT&T phone doesn't come to mind so I can't just borrow a phone and start the repair process now, but the wait isn't too bad. At least they do not limit the iPhone rental to just physical Apple Store customers!
    Thanks for the help, folks. :V

  • Very very strange issue: no more activation possible (iTunes 8.2.1 on a G3)

    At first, i came back to iTunes 8.2.1 because using 9.1 is no fun on a G3 PowerBook (the loudness adjustment makes the computer unusable for hours, then the vents roar and the machine crashes!).
    OK, because i still wanted to remote the G3 with my iPod touch, i got iTunes 8.2.1 wich runs very good on such an old computer. I am pretty shure that i already had this version on this computer, because i made almost every update... I use this computer just for listening Music! This Computer was activated all the time and with all Versions of iTunes - from 4.0 to 9.0 !!!!
    What happens now is very VERY strange and i am loosing my mind. The apple support can't help me (they also resetted all my activations).
    It sounds simple, but i am no more able to activate this iTunes!!! Everything is typed well, but no chance. It says everytime that the name or password is wrong. I also can't activate Genius!
    I promise, tried everything: my last attempt was to make a complete Reset of the machine (i erased the whole disk and installed everything(!!!!!) from scratch!)
    But with no luck - this machine will not let me f*/("&§ng connect to my account were i payed lots of euros for my music!!!!!!!
    This is in fact the strangest thing that i ever gone through on computers (and i've seen lots of strange things, believe me!)
    I hope that somehone could give me a hint...

    I actually found the window hiding at the bottom of my screen, being covered by my dock, and was able to drag it up.
    You can also go into System Preferences, then dock and then move your dock to the left or right to find the window.

  • Very strange performance issue

    Hi!
    I've got a very very strange performance problem and I have no more ideas what it might be:
    The following code fragment contains the useless line int count=0;
    However, deleting the line reduces(!) the execution speed of the program by ~30%. This is not only weird because the line is absolutely useless, but also because the whole function only takes <1% total execution time in the program.
        public void simuliere_bis_soll_erreicht()
            int count=0;  //????
            while(welt.soll_simulationszeit>welt.ist_simulationszeit && simu_active)
                simuliere_einen_schritt();
        }The problem occurs both under Java 1.5 and 1.4.2, using the HotSpot-Client.
    Cleaning and rebuilding the project does not help.
    It occurs on different computers in the same way, too.
    Thank you very much in advance! :-)
    Mirko Seithe

    well, this is what you get:
    1.) run totally interpreted since compilation threshhold is reached (1500 (client jvm) - 10000 (server-jvm)
    2.) start background compilation, run further in interpreted mode till compilation finishes (depends on code, but about 1000-10000)
    3.) run compiled code
    so this is what you get:
    ~20.000 invokations interpreted (about 70-90%n of total time)
    ~80.000 invokations compiled (30-10% of total time)
    maybe your int takes much longer to optimize, so the loop executes much longer in interpreted code.
    I would not bet on such microbenchmarks, since they do not tell you real stories under real circumstances. Believe me, I am the programmer working on performance optimizations in the company I am employed.

  • Trying to do something very strange with layouts and painting components

    I'm trying to do something very strange with changing the layout of a container, then painting it to a bufferedImage and changing it back again so nothing has changed. However, I am unable to get the image i want of this container in a new layout. Consider it a preview function of the different layouts. Anyway. I've tried everything i know about swing and have come up empty. There is probably a better way to do what i am trying to do, i just don't know how.
    If someone could have a look perhaps and help me out i would be much appreciative.
    Here is a self contained small demo of my conundrum.
    import java.awt.BorderLayout;
    import java.awt.Color;
    import java.awt.Graphics2D;
    import java.awt.event.ActionEvent;
    import java.awt.event.ActionListener;
    import java.awt.image.BufferedImage;
    import javax.swing.BoxLayout;
    import javax.swing.ImageIcon;
    import javax.swing.JButton;
    import javax.swing.JFrame;
    import javax.swing.JLabel;
    import javax.swing.JPanel;
    import javax.swing.border.LineBorder;
    // what is should do is when you click on the button "click me" it should place a image on the panel of the buttons in a
    // horizontal fashion. Instead it shows the size that the image should be, but there is no image.
    public class ChangeLayoutAndPaint
         private static JPanel panel;
         private static JLabel label;
         public static void main(String[] args)
              // the panel spread out vertically
              panel = new JPanel();
              panel.setLayout(new BoxLayout(panel, BoxLayout.Y_AXIS));
              // the buttons in the panel
              JButton b1, b2, b3;
              panel.add(b1 = new JButton("One"));
              panel.add(b2 = new JButton("Two"));
              panel.add(b3 = new JButton("Three"));
              b1.setEnabled(false);
              b2.setEnabled(false);
              b3.setEnabled(false);
              // the label with a border around it to show size in a temp panel with flowlayout to not stuff around
              // with the actual size we want.
              JPanel thingy = new JPanel();
              label = new JLabel();
              label.setBorder(new LineBorder(Color.black));
              thingy.add(label);
              // the button to make things go
              JButton button = new JButton("click me");
              button.addActionListener(new ActionListener(){
                   public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e)
                        //change layout
                        panel.setLayout(new BoxLayout(panel, BoxLayout.X_AXIS));
                        panel.doLayout();
                        //get image
                        BufferedImage image = new BufferedImage(panel.getPreferredSize().width, panel.getPreferredSize().height, BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_ARGB);
                        Graphics2D g = image.createGraphics();
                        panel.paintComponents(g);
                        g.dispose();
                        //set icon of jlabel
                        label.setIcon(new ImageIcon(image));
                        //change back
                        panel.setLayout(new BoxLayout(panel, BoxLayout.Y_AXIS));
                        panel.doLayout();
              // the frame
              JFrame frame = new JFrame();
              frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
              frame.setSize(400,200);
              frame.setLocation(100,100);
              frame.getContentPane().add(panel, BorderLayout.NORTH);
              frame.getContentPane().add(thingy, BorderLayout.CENTER);
              frame.getContentPane().add(button, BorderLayout.SOUTH);
              frame.setVisible(true);
    }

    Looks like you didn't read the API for Container#doLayout().
    Causes this container to lay out its components. Most programs should not call this method directly, but should invoke the validate method instead.
    There's also a concurrency issue here in that the panel's components may be painted to the image before revalidation completes. And your GUI, like any Swing GUI, should be constructed and shown on the EDT.
    Try this for size -- it could be better, but I've made the minimum possible changes in your code:import java.awt.BorderLayout;
    import java.awt.Color;
    import java.awt.Graphics2D;
    import java.awt.event.ActionEvent;
    import java.awt.event.ActionListener;
    import java.awt.image.BufferedImage;
    import javax.swing.BoxLayout;
    import javax.swing.ImageIcon;
    import javax.swing.JButton;
    import javax.swing.JFrame;
    import javax.swing.JLabel;
    import javax.swing.JPanel;
    import javax.swing.SwingUtilities;
    import javax.swing.border.LineBorder;
    public class ChangeLayoutAndPaint {
      private static JPanel panel;
      private static JLabel label;
      public static void main(String[] args) {
        SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
          @Override
          public void run() {
            // the panel spread out vertically
            panel = new JPanel();
            panel.setLayout(new BoxLayout(panel, BoxLayout.Y_AXIS));
            // the buttons in the panel
            JButton b1, b2, b3;
            panel.add(b1 = new JButton("One"));
            panel.add(b2 = new JButton("Two"));
            panel.add(b3 = new JButton("Three"));
            b1.setEnabled(false);
            b2.setEnabled(false);
            b3.setEnabled(false);
            // the label with a border around it to show size in a temp panel with flowlayout to not stuff around
            // with the actual size we want.
            JPanel thingy = new JPanel();
            label = new JLabel();
            // label.setBorder(new LineBorder(Color.black));
            thingy.add(label);
            // the button to make things go
            JButton button = new JButton("click me");

    I have over 4000 songs in my Itunes library.  I have 25-30 playlists set up.  I just did a sync on my daugthers itouch and 85% of my playlists dissappeared.  i rebooted my pc....playlists are still not there. The songs are still in my library.   Very strange.  Any Advice appreciated

    Thanks, Michael.  Itunes Match is not enabled on my daughter's Itouch.  I have subscribed to it and have used the service to back up my song purchases.  I merely did a sync via USB (as normal) to her Itouch.  The sync wiped out 85% of the playlists that were on my home computer for the last seveal years.  I have updated her itouch multiple times - both before and after I had subscribed to iTunes Match.  After the last sync to her iTouch, the playlists just disappeared.   My home computer is the main device I use to manage my Itunes library and my playlists.  I am not sure what happened?
    BTW - how are you affiliated with Apple?  Are you?  I feel like I have explained the issue pretty clearly, but your responses seem to focus on her iTouch and not my computer, where the playlists are managed.  I want to know how to get the playlists back on my computer.
    Thanks for your help.  Rob

  • VERY strange lag on a Dell Optiplex 760

    I thought it would be a good idea to keep a 16GB flash drive on my keychain that booted Arch so I could work on HW for college in a consistent OS!  Everything is working great so far, but I ran into a very strange problem with a Dell Optiplex 760.  During the normal Arch init process, everything loads great, except for when it gets to the udev stage where everything hangs.  But here's the strange part of this scenario: the problems go away when I start typing random keys or move the mouse!  If I don't do this, the system hangs completely from what I can tell.  This happens at the console and with X.
    The service tag for this machine is FDCQQJ1, and the dell.com driver area brings up this list of hardware and (windows) drivers for it.

  • Very strange: can not enable root.

    One of my old G4 behaves very strange, unless everything is running very well, I can't log in as root.
    Also after enabling root in NetInfo manager, I can't login as root, neither as user nor using SSH.
    I resetted the Pasword using the Install-DVD. But still no effect.
    Finally i deleted the root account using NetInfoManager and deleted the root home dirctory /private/var/root.
    So I was able to activate root in NIM again, restarted the local NetInfo-Domain and again: nothing.
    It is complete impossible to log into this machine as root. But I have to.
    Making a complete new install on this mac will cost me at least one day, so this is not an option.
    Workin since ever with lots of macs, I never faced such a strange thing. Please help!

    Should the features and access you require not work in 10.4.11, you may have to
    consider installing a new system folder and update that; if the issue really is one
    of some unusual happening and the superuser or root user is inaccessible.
    Are you sure you really need root user access? There are other ways to do stuff.
    You appear to have already tried the basic steps to gain root level access:
    "Enabling the Root User" - an Apple Help 10.4 support document:
    - http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.4/en/mh1549.html
    This thread really does show more than one way to handle the issue...
    "How do I enable root user? - 10.5.x"
    {includes a 'command line editor" discussion - and other detailed options}
    - http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1910434&tstart=0
    There may also be some helpful access to command line and other
    super user or unix baseline methods in the OnyX utility from Titanium
    Software, the free-running user interface utility. I've seen this section
    in there but have no need presently to experiment with it.
    In any event, see if the second link above is helpful; it may be.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Very strange problem. Missing characters in QT applications

    Hello all.
    I'm trying to deal with a very strange issue since some time, that is driving me crazy, because I have no clue where the problem may lay:
    In my Archlinux system, some, and only some QT applications (for example Skype, or Qtconfig) don't display properly certain characters in the unicode set (for example "ń" or "ł") when I use certain fonts (for example Terminus, Clean or Verdana), and those applications substitute those characters with the corresponding ones from the Bitstream Vera Sans font type.
    So, when I write, say, the Polish word "Toruń", the four first letters (T, o, r and u) are rendereed in the desired font type (let's say Terminus). However, the last letter (ń) is rendered in Bitstream Vera Sans, thus making the writing appear really ugly and uneven.
    However, this doesn't happen in Opera (the browser), which is a QT application, but where I get the whole unicode character set displayed properly in the desired font type (Terminus in this example).
    Also, this doesn't happen in the rest of non-QT applications I have in my system: all of them render perfectly the whole unicode set of characters in the desired font type, no matter which.
    But! it's not a problem of those QT applications, because I have another partition with Ubuntu installed, and when I boot that partition I don't have this problem: all applications, including Skype and Qtconfig, display correctly all characters in the whole unicode set, no matter which font type I'm using.
    This is totally bewildering me.
    Any clue?
    Thank you.

    The problem is not only in qt applications. I run openbox and this is the output I get when using the command-line script pdfmerge to merge pdf files:
    GPL Ghostscript 8.71: Missing glyph CID=48, glyph=0030 in the font VerdanaBold . The output PDF may fail with some viewers.
    GPL Ghostscript 8.71: Missing glyph CID=49, glyph=0031 in the font VerdanaBold . The output PDF may fail with some viewers.
    GPL Ghostscript 8.71: Missing glyph CID=31, glyph=001f in the font VerdanaItalic . The output PDF may fail with some viewers.
    GPL Ghostscript 8.71: Missing glyph CID=38, glyph=0026 in the font VerdanaItalic . The output PDF may fail with some viewers.
    GPL Ghostscript 8.71: Missing glyph CID=37, glyph=0025 in the font VerdanaItalic . The output PDF may fail with some viewers.
    GPL Ghostscript 8.71: Missing glyph CID=34, glyph=0022 in the font VerdanaItalic . The output PDF may fail with some viewers.
    GPL Ghostscript 8.71: Missing glyph CID=54, glyph=0036 in the font VerdanaBold . The output PDF may fail with some viewers.
    GPL Ghostscript 8.71: Missing glyph CID=44, glyph=002c in the font VerdanaBold . The output PDF may fail with some viewers.
    GPL Ghostscript 8.71: Missing glyph CID=50, glyph=0032 in the font VerdanaBold . The output PDF may fail with some viewers.
    GPL Ghostscript 8.71: Missing glyph CID=77, glyph=004d in the font Verdana . The output PDF may fail with some viewers.
    There are visible errors in the pdf output. For example, bold "C" is replaced by a square box, bold "b" is replaced by a space.
    It looks like there's bug in the Verdana font or perhaps in Ghostscript 8.71

  • Very strange error : IDOC to jdbc scenario

    Hi
    I am getting a very strange error when I see the log for the idoc to jdbc scenario that I am building.
    The mapping test shows the header record and line item record properly in the mapping result.
    insert, access nodes, fields with access nodes are all formed correctly.
    However the communication channel log shows below error.
    Could not execute statement for table/stored proc. "tblTestItem" (structure "Item") due to com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Incorrect syntax near ')'.
    JDBC Message processing failed, due to Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'tblTestItem' (structure 'Item'): com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Incorrect syntax near ')'.
    The message status was set to WAIT.
    The query that I see in the log is :INSERT INTO  tblTestItem () VALUES ()
    However mapping tool shows that all nodes are correctly formed.
    Please assist.

    Hi
    I am still getting this issue even after the below steps so kind of stuck - actually very much stuck.
    1. Restart of the dev environment
    2. Tried with a new extension of the idoc
    In the communication channel log for the JDBC receiver channel I still see
    INSERT INTO tblItem () VALUES ()
    The payload that I see in the message content tab is as follows
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <ns0:MT_XXX_XXXX xmlns:ns0="http://capita.com/pi/XXXX">
    - <Statement>
    - <dbTableName action="INSERT">
      <table>tblItem</table>
      </dbTableName>
    - <access>
      <InvoiceNo>0000000009293467</InvoiceNo>
      </access>
      </Statement>
      </ns0:MT_XXX_XXXX>
    How do I debug the jdbc adapter to see how it converts the above xml output from the mapping step (note that this output is from an actual run and not test tool) to a sql query.
    Very strange that the column names are present in the target payload but it is not reflecting in the query.
    I have other tables being populated with the same jdbc receiver communication channel which makes this more and more confusing.
    PLEASE ADVICE.

  • Very strange error in text properties - AI CS6

    Hello Everyone,
    This morning I found very very STRANGE error in Adobe CS6 about text properties. Here you go.
    In the picture one text 'ei and mosterd' was bold.
    But after copy to new string the bold characters are changed to 'ig and mosterdz'.
    This is very strange error I have seen ever.
    Do you guys have any reason why CS6 act like this?
    also do you  have any option to fix this issue?
    For your information:
    I just done copy past. Nothing else.
    All the properties are same for both.
    No difference except the text string size
    I tried the same file in different machines for check. But I still see the same error in all the machines.
    System properties:
    Mac os x: 10.8.5
    Processor 2,8 Ghz Intel Core i5
    Memory: 8 GB
    Software: Adobe CS6
    Regards,
    FroQ

    Wow, this is absolutely incredible... you try to parse an empty String to an int and it throws an exception... I'd never have thought.
