Very top of touch screen isnt working

I'm unable to drag down my status bar or enter any Web addresses on my browser, unless I turn my phone so it is landscape. It was working this morning but has just suddenly stopped. I've dropped dropped the phone or its not been anywhere near water either. Anyone know what's happened and how to fix this error.

Try performing a system repair using PC Companion - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

my touch screen isnt working on my ipod touch. i cant get past slide to unlock or slide to power off. how do i know if its actually damaged or if i just need to altar a setting or restore etc?

First if your iPod is 8gb it is not a 3g. It's probably a 2g.
Apple will replace your iPod for $99. This is a complete replacement not a repair. This won't be done at an Apple store.

There are third party repair shops that might be able to do a repair. Google search for them.

Oh no! This is not what we like to hear. I want to make sure that we are able to get your phone back up and running. Is there any kind of physical or liquid damage to the device? Can you try to press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons until the device powers off then release (approximately 10 seconds). Please keep us posted.

Yoga 13 touch screen stopped working after update KB3000850, please help!

Hi, my Yoga 13 touch screen has been working fine until yesterday. The laptop came with Windows 8, and last year I upgraded to Windows 8.1 without issue. Yesterday, I installed optional update KB3000850 from Windows Update, and immediately the touch screen stopped working. I have tried the following methods, all without success:
* Uninstall KB3000850 from Windows Update
* Use Windows Restore to restore to the point before yesterday
* Re-install Intel Chipset Driver from Lenovo official driver page
* In Device Manager, uncheck all the "allow system to turn off to save power" options for the USB input devices under Human Interface Devices then restart
* Two-button shutdown and restart
* Install Lenovo Driver Manager and let it check for new drivers
* Download Cando multi touch panel driver (Note: I could not install the driver because all I got was a .cab file which does not allow me to install)
As of now my touch screen is still not working. Computer Information page from Settings shows that there is no touch or pen device for my screen.
Can anybody help me with this? Thanks!

Very true, this has been a known problem since the first day Lenovo released the Yoga 13.
I need to send Lenovo a bill for my time spent rebooting. So far i am on my 8th reboot. In the past, around 5 reboots after winddows update would work. This time... who knows.
Of course it always happens when you have a deadline.
Please post back if you have found a better soultion than system restore.

My iPod touch screen stopped working, how do i fix it?

My iPod(4th generation) touch screen stopped working. Okay so it was fine earlier, my home button does not work so i have been using the assistive button for months, and until earlier today it got stuck, i tried to power it off but it doesn't let me slide to power it off, and it doesn't let me press anything on the assistive menu either, and i'm currently waiting for my ipod to die but it's taking forever since it's battery lasts forever! is there any other solutions you can give me?
and i was wondering if my ipod has life insurance with apple so if something is wrong with the screen, can i take it for a new one? (my ipod is in very good conditions, not cracked or scratched, just the home button is an issue)

Try restoring via iTunes. If necessary. try placing the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs and then restore:

8secs depressed the power botton. failed.
depressed volume down + camera + rare botton + power botton - failed.
i tried also to restore factory setting. but the code 00000 0000 or 12345 factory default code. wont work also.

i bought my i phone about three months ago unfortuately it fell and the screen broke i have it insured so i was told the screen would be replaced instead they sent me an apparently new handset which i have about a month and a half nothing has happened this not a scratch on it but since i got it the touch screen isnt responding properly and 2 days ago it stopped working i cant unlock it or anything i took it to the phone shop and they told me install the new software that that would fix it or else reboot it but i already had both of them done can anyone please help me ????

If you have restored to factory settings and you still have issues with it, then its going to be a hardware issue that you could get your phone replaced for

We're sorry to hear this issue. Please follow the troubleshooting steps here to isolate the issue:
Power cycle - Remove the battery and all peripherals -> press and hold the power button for 5 seconds OR, if the battery is not removable, remove all peripherals-> look for a battery off button on the bottom of the laptop -> push the button for 5 seconds
Reinstall driver - Go to Device manager -> Human Interface Devices -> right click and select Uninstall (DO NOT DELETE). Restart the computer. The driver will be reinstalled.
Reset BIOS - While the unit is restarting, tap the F2 key repeatedly. Once in BIOS go to Exit tab -> Get Default Values -> Save the changes and Exit.
Update drivers from Sony's support website or from where you purchased the laptop.

Hi After upgrading my pc from windows 8.1 to windows 10 my touch screen stop working, i tried by calibrating and some options but now i cant find my pen and touch option in control panel and the device showing no pen and touch option. Help me.

I am having similar problems, although I don't have the zoom issue- it is simply not scrolling. very frustrating when you are accustomed to this method. My resolution was also reset, but I don't find that as much of an issue- the scrolling I can't fix.
