Very Urgent Hyperion Planning Financial Report Issue

Hi All,
I have a coloum in the last in all data forms to enter comments basically I am using No account for the user to enter the text here.
Similarly I had created a FR Report to view the data along with the comment
The issue is that once I look in the comment in report it not properly visible
say for ex if I enter 3206 -The tax value is high in datafrom
Only 3206 appears in the report.
I am not sure that how the comment is truncated in the report
Kindly please help to provide me the solution

It's properly not visible means, are you trying to view the report from workspace or print preview.
If your column/row width is less than that comment, it will not visible in report full, so you have to extend until coment ends, make sure you give correct format/space given to show on the report. just expand the column/row width long until ur coment ends.
If coment is not visible in the report itself, you can try format the cell text -> righ click-> format -> Replace with-> you can enter whatever comment you want to keep, so that it will be available, but even here to show full comment, you have to exand the column/row until its full coment visible....
Generally text/member aliases will not show full names due to the format only, i am not sure if your issue is different, but i am sure its format issue i think. please let us know if its differnt issue, just want to know.

Adobe Reader 9 and Hyperion Planning Financial Reports - bug?

Our company is starting a rollout of Adobe Reader 9 (currently we are on Adobe Reader 8). For those users that have upgraded to Adobe Reader 9, when the select a report (via explore in workspace) and choose 'Preview as PDF'
the actions differ between Reader versions.
Version 8 - The report would preview within workspace
Version 9 - Reader application is launched and displays in preview mode
The users Reader 9 (edit / preferences) is set to 'Display PDF within browser'
Curious if others have come across this problem and what they did to resolve it. (I also have a SR with oracle)

Never mind on this again...
The problem appears to be workstation related to one user only. After doing tests on 10 different users, no user had problems with Preview as PDF with Adobe Reader 9 and Planning 9.3.1 on IE 6

Hyperion Workspace Financial Reporting Export to Excel Query-Ready Missing

Hyperion Workspace Financial Reporting Export to Excel "Query-Ready" option is Missing in the dropdown when you go to File>Export>Excel
Only the "Fully Formatted" option is available.
From what I recall this option for a "query-ready" export should be available from the HTML preview?
Is there something in configuration that needs to be enabled or something that needs to be checked on to get this option?
We are running 11.1.1.3
The Query-Ready option is available when exporting forms in Planning.
When opening Financial Reports in Smartview the option for "Query-Ready" is available.
For some reason this is not showing up in workspace, does it not exist in 11.1.1.3? Is this a bug?

Hi,
The option to export the financial report output in "Query-Ready" format is actually at the bottom right hand corner of the report page (look at the report footer) instead of File>Export>Excel.

Hyperion financial reports issue

I have problem but with Months and years in Hyperion Financial Reports.
if i run the reports for JAN 2007 it has to show for previous 12 months
in my case the year is not changing to 2006 for DEC i'm using Relative member -1 function
can please let me know how to slove this issue .Ts is very urgent.

try to do it in 2 columns ( let say you have selected 'Jul' and '2007'
First column
2006 - x to Dec
2007 - Jan to y
where x = prev month
y= current month
there may be problem while selecting Dec 2007 cot in that case you will have to show only 2007 months. i think that you can do based on some conditional suppression

Very Urgent: Hyperion System 9 Planning license was encountered

Hi,
I am working on Planning Version 9.2X. On every weekend, Hyperion Planning and Essbase servers are scheduled to start. After that, all the services are being recycled as part of weekly maintenance. The next day, when I tried to login into Planning, I am experiencing below issue soon after the server restart. To overcome this, again I am stopping and starting all services. Please refer to the Below Error and its Server log.
Can you please help in fixing this issue permanantly.
And one more issue with other Planning Application: This application does not have this kind of problem, but it has strange issue. This application also goes under weekly maintenace and does not any problem with the login. But, If I won't login soon after the server and Services recycle, Business Rules that are scheduled to run won't start. I have to have login into Planning to make the Business Rules to run.
Please suggest me if I need to change any settings with in the planning properties to overcome these issues.

I am not sure on that one, have you checked any of the license server logs, I would contact Oracle if nobody else comes up with some ideas.

Urgent..!! Financial Reporting Issue

Hi All,
I've an issue about Financial Reporting..
First, i cannot connect FR through Workspace, and then I tried to reconfigure my FR. But then, Financial Reporting Java RMI service is disabled suddenly.
Then, i tried to delete all registry that related to Financial Reporting Java RMI service, and try to reconfig. But, in the middle of configuration, there is popup shown, with message like this 'Service could not be deleted'.
I'm using Oracle Application Server as the Web Server.
When i tried to import my registry related to Financial Reporting Java RMI, there is a DeleteFlag with value 0x00000001 (1)
Any Suggest about this Issue..??

Reporting server must should be started to access FR. may be the problem with the configuration. try to reconfigure reporting services.stop or remove the services from registry do the configuration.

Financial Reports Issue

Hi,
When I am trying to run Financial Reports in workspace getting the following erroer.
*5200: Error executing query: Java.lang.ArithmeticException: / by zerojava.lang.ArithmeticExceptoion*.
the issue with the only Planning reports. Consolidation reports are working fine.
I am not sure it is issue with database as last week oracle database got corrupted & fixed by client.
The next day onwards Planning Reports are not working.

Hi,
I'm actually facing the same issue with a report on a Planning datasource. It's quite strange because just one user has this problem and I can't find any specificity on this user, correct group, correct options, correct provisions, etc.
I'll try to change the data source to an Essbase datasource... even if I'd like to stay on the Planning datasource.
Any idea on this issue?

Can someone tell me please how to Extract Data from (Financial Reporting in) Hyperion Planning & Budgeting into Excel Using ODI?
Would the steps be the same as Creating an ODI Project and Interface: Exporting a Flat File to a Flat File? If not, why?

Where do you think the financial reports get their data from? Financial Reports pull data from data sources such as Essbase, HFM.

Hyperion Planning Smart View issue with Member Names & Aliases

Hi,
Im using Smart View "Essbase" Connection to a Hyperion Planning Application, ver 11.1.1.3, however with the essbase connection i am not able to select at the smart view options to see aliases, members or both. I change the setting ( Duplicate member names allowed =true) directly at the properties of the outline in EAS, and now i am able to see the aliases, however if time I refresh using web planning/workspace this setting is undone. Furthermore i dont thing i should use it with planning. Any comments?

First of all I hope you have not changed the properties of the outline in EAS for a planning application.
For more information on using aliases in smartview have a read of :- Smartview --- Display options --- to display alias names
Also you will only be able to view member name or aliases not both at the same time.

Financial Report issue

Hi,
when we ran the financial report in workspace some body are getting report with high width of column,but same report is opening in correct format for some users,what could be the reason for opening like that ,please advise.

Are you talking about HTML view or PDF view?
Have both users try PDF view and confirm they look the same. IF they do, then you can narrow it down to the way one user is rendering the HTML view in their browser. Look at things like screen resolution settings, different browsers, different versions if same browser, maybe some particular user settings, perhaps a zoom function, anything like that.

Hyperion Financial Reports Issue with POV disappearing

We have Essbase reports that have been in production for quite some time. Just recently when users run the reports some users (not all) do not get the full POV selection. This is happening with different reports and different users so we have not found anything that anyone has in common. Has anyone experienced something like this? We are on version 9.3.1.3.

Urgent Hyperion Planning default application setting

Hi Hyperion Gurus,
Is there any way in which admin can set the default setting of a planning application.
Say I want my display option as thousand separator as comma
decimal seperator as decimal
negetive sign as red.
I know that the new user can login and set these properties by himself on first login
But is there way in which admin can set these setting globally so each user don't need to go and select him/her preference.They can be set globally.
Same issue with the FR In User point of View, By default Preview is Off.
Each user need to set it on
Can this be also done globally by a admin

Not sure version you are on.
I am on 9.3.x, adminstartor can set these display options in application settings under adminstartion in a planning application.
Then users can set thier planning preferences to "Use application Default" in display options.

Submit FSG Report in APPS 11i. Then go to requests window (View --> Request --> Find). Press "View Log.." button. There, you will get the SQL query for which you submitted the report.
