Very, VERy new in Oracle
Please I need some advised. I've absolutetly no experiece in ORACLE. I would like very much to become OPC person. PLEASE... can you tell me where to go and how to start. I do not have any experience w/Oracle, and I would like to start now.

Very very urgent Discoverer reports for non oracle applications

My client is using discoverer 10g with R12.He is using different non oracle applications like BRM Application (database is oracle only) for that they wants to develop discoverer reports.It is possible to integrate with non oracle applications with discoverer.

You're really not supposed to manage a non-Apps mode EUL and an Apps mode data within the same URL. Having said that, I have a hunch you just might be able to do it and there are 2 ways. You can either make the data available to user who login using E-Business Suite credentials or you can make it available to users who have database credentials. The first one is straightforward and you do it just like any other data. Let me give you some hints regarding the second method.
First of all I ahve not personally tried this and you may find that because Discoverer was initially set up in Apps mode that somewhere down the line it will make the suers connect this way. However, the following is worth a try.
I would a new schema in the Oracle E-Business database to manage the link to BRM and create a database link from this user to a user in the BRM database. You will also need to create user accounts within the database for anyone who needs to login and run BRM reports.
Next, I would create views in this new schema pointing at data across the BRM link, thus allowing Discoverer to think these are local objects.
In Discoverer Administrator, you would need to log in to Discoverer using the owner of the EUL - NOT using SYSADMIN or any of the other E-Business Suite accounts. You should log in with the Oracle Applications checkbox unchecked. You can now create new business areas on the BRM data. You should also be able to assign users to Discoverer privileges and users to business areas.
Using the same URL you would have Apps users connect using the E-Business Suite item on the drop-down for logging in and you would have BPM users choose the Business Intelligence Discoverer item.

I think I had it on the iCloud, I just changed computers and had part of my old computer backed up, where are the default iTunes info saved like the pictures and I know my contacts were backed up cuz I kept getting updated stuff that I wasn't sure about, but it was contacts where some belonged to my wife's contacts....but anyway, if the cloud backed up contacts, it should have grabbed pictures too? Like I asked before, if they were backed up to the computer, is there a default iTunes folder they are saved to? I had a crap load of pictures on there that I usually could really access if I was connected to wi-fi. I turned off my data stuff as I only have 4GB and between me and my 2 kids, we seemed to use up a lot of it. My son would play music from Pandora during work, and use up all our data til I limited him to only 3GB, my daughter and I barely used 1GB. Anyway, thanks to everybody that is answering. I thought I might have done good finding the dang sim card, but pointless I guess.

Sorry guys, I don't know a **** of a lot about cell phones, but I do know about memory cards, but not sim cards that act like memory cards or look like them anyway. What is the purpose of a sim card if I may ask a stupid question since they don't hold any data from my phone stuff. How are you charging it? Are you using the included cable and charger? Are you plugging it into the wall? Or are you charging it from the USB port on a computer? What troubleshooting steps have you taken?
The phone will charge best using the included cable and charger plugged into a wall outlet. If that's what you're doing and you're still having problems, you should try a couple of things. Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the apple appears? Try a different cable. Try a different charger. Try a different outlet.
If everything fails, make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store. -
Why is my new iPad mini with retina very, very jerky and slow?

Does anyone know what I can do about my new iPad being very, very jerky and slow?
FACT - The multitouch screen is unresponsive and I have to press and press and press to select what I want before it reacts.
It's an iPad mini with retina, so it's got the new chipset which runs really, really fast.
FACT - What happens is:
I start up pages and it freezes completely for quite a while before allowing me access to my documents.
I go to settings and it freezes up totally for quite a while before allowing me access to my settings.
Is there a cure? I get similar problems on my acompanying really, really fast iPhone 5s.

Plenty of memory left so no problems there - only about half used and they're both 32gb.

You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. When using CCC (Carbon Cophy Cloner) or Disk Utility to clone a Mac HD of one new iMac to another, over ThunderBolt, we are getting I/O errors. Even though the clone fails, the destination system does boot and log in, however, the logins take a very very very long time.
Thoughts.
Edit: Already ran Disk Utility. Also reinstalled a fresh OS on top of the cloned OS and it seemed to remedy the problem. Then, cloned to next machine in the row of the lab. Same problem.OK, by that I assume that you used Disk Utility to repair the subject disk and it reported "The volume (name) appears to be OK" in green.

If so, the Thunderbolt connection begins to look suspicious.
Reinstalling OS X subsequent to the "clone" operation may be an acceptable workaround but you should not have had the I/O errors you describe, nor should the login times (subsequent to the initial login, that is) be unacceptably long. It calls into question the integrity of all the information that was transferrred.

w/ this latest version, getting MANY "the connection was reset" pages, plus VERY VERY VERY slow loading. I'm running Windows 7 on a new Dell. What is up w/ that?
I don't know how else to phrase that. I'm a pretty good user, but after defragging, backing up, and getting rid of a bunch of files that "may" slow down performance of firefox, the fact is, "the connection was reset" comes up five or six times a day--AND the browser is going slow as molasses. I haven't had this much trouble since before I got my new dell.hello whatagem123, it is never a good idea to stick with outdated versions of firefox just for the sake of addons, as this will put the integrity of your system and your the personal data on it at risk - there are various [https://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html known security vulnerabilities (some of them highly critical)] that were fixed in later versions!
so please [[Update Firefox to the latest version]] & [https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ update your plugins] (your java plugin has security vulnerabilities that are actively and widely exploited on the web).
afterwards i'd recommend resetting firefox - this will keep your bookmarks and passwords but will get rid of most other customizations. this might well fix both the issues you've described in your question...

Yes 10.8.2 is the latest version of Mountain Lion. 10.7 was Lion and 10.6 was Snow Leopard.

I really do not have a lot more details to add to the question; in opening more than one tab; system is very, very slow either from trying to open when on-line or trying to open a link embedded in an email. Did not have an issue before the upgrade.
Problem solved, I think, though not internally to Firefox and not for earlier Windows versions: Windows 7 preserves former version of files and folders. right click on the filen ame or foldername and select "restore previous version". At this juncture, I have copied the previous and current versions of the folder so I can try them out and if necessary move the sessionstore file from one to another.

New to Oracle, Need to connect forms 9i with oraclient 10g schemas n tables

I am very new to oracle applications and i am not even sure if the terminology i am using is right. I have trained on Oracle SQL/PL and Forms 9i recently and i am trying to create an oracle environment where i can practice.
I have downloaded the Oraclient 10g and 9i Developer suite. I want to use the forms applications and even do coding for SQL/PL from the forms sql/pl editor.
I am not able to connect the forms application to the database as it is asking for a username, pswd and a host string. During installation i have not given any id's or passwords.
can someone help me on how i can start using the existing tables from the oraclient and build forms.

These are the 2 tables which has to be in the same form. The upper one is master block and the lower one is details block in the form. The second one must be in the tabular format. The first one in the form format. We have to make the relationship. That’s it all are text fields only. We need to retreive,update,insert,delete.generate sequence number for or_seq and it should be updated to or_seq_det which is the attribute of second table.Maybe you should ask this in the Forms forum.
