Very Weak Vibrations

This is my second Dinc2 (First one had the random reboot problem). I noticed that on my second phone, the vibrations of the onscreen buttons and while typing are significantly weaker. It's so weak I can barely feel it in my pocket. I know there's something wrong because my first phone felt amazing, the vibration responses were strong.
Any idea on how to fix this? I just got this phone today and it would be a shame to have to order a 3rd replacement....

Unfortunately, there are no settings to make the haptic feedback when touching the screen stronger.  There is one standard setting, and it can't be altered.  If this is both when the phone vibrates and when you are touching the screen, it's likely an issue with the vibrating mechanism itself and we would need to exchange it again for you. It could also be a glitch. Have you tried a battery pull? If there is no improvement, then a replacement would be needed.
You can PM me, and I would be happy to make this happen for you.

  • Very weak vibration

    Hi,
New to this forum and just got the Tour . I really like this phone except of the weak vibration. I can hardly tell when its vibrating. Some say their vibration is very strong while others have a very weak one like i do. Im always on vibrate and pocket the phone alot and its causing me to miss calls and messages.Im wondering if there is a fix or return it for a new one since im still on a replacement period. Also my signal keeps jumping from 4-5 bars to 1-2 bars all the time but i suspect an os upgrade could fix that unless im wrong. Wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a solution to the weak vibration on this phone.
    Thank You, G

I have the same problem with the signal strength bouncing all over the place, and the vibration being very weak.  I'm confident that future OS's will address the signal issue, but I doubt much can be done about the vibration unfortunately

  • Very loud, but very weak vibration motor [Xperia Z1]

    Hi,
I've bought new Sony Xperia Z1 a few days ago and overall it's a great device, but there is one issue, which is very annoying for me.
The vibration motor is very loud, but at the same time vibrations are just weak, so that when the ringtone is set on the lowest level, the motor is louder than this ringtone and when I keep the phone in my pocket I can hardly feel anything when it's vibrating.
In the keyboard I've set the shortest possible vibrating time, but it still makes more sound than vibrations.
The pitch of the sound is increasing with the duration of the motor working: eg. when I push home button for one time, the sound is quite low (but still loud), but when I press a few times in a row the sound gets higher and even more irritating.
Is it normal behavior for this smartphone? It's very annoying, because vibration should be discrete way to notify me about incoming calls or text messages. The fact that it is louder than a normal ringtone makes it useless.
Is it possible to fix it via software or is it a hardware issue and I should send the phone to the repair center.

I have the exact same issue.  When the phone is in my holster and vibrates to remind me of a meeting, I can hear the vibrate but not really feel it.  I had a Samsung Galaxy S3 before this and I could feel the vibration all the time and not really feel it.
This is really a huge downer for it.

  • IPhone 6 vibrate intensity is very very weak compared to previous generation iPhones.

Got iPhone 6 on 9/19. Found out that Vibrate intensity is very very weak on iPhone 6 compared to previous generation iPhones. I keep missing calls and alerts when on vibrate mode. Is there any solution to this ?

Yes. There are reasons why I want to keep it in vibrate instead of ringtone. At my work, I keep it in vibrate so that no one gets disturbed if I get a call or text. Specially in a meeting, I must put it in vibrate. When I have the phone kept on my desk in vibrate mode, I miss text or calls most of the time now. It never used to happen with my old iPhone 4s.
Also, I use my phone as a pager for my work and I want to keep it in vibrate in the night so that only I get up in the middle of the night when I get a page. I don't want to disturb others at home. I've been missing the pages now because the vibration is very mild and I don't hear even hear it. Again, I never used to miss the pages before on my iPhone 4s.

  • The vibration on 4S  is VERY weak.

The vibration on my 4s is very very weak. I can't even tell it vibrates. It's been that way since I bought the phone from AT&T. I thought it was normal until I started feeling other people's 4s. What can I do? I bought the phone around November last year.

Test your iPad on some other networks to see if the problem is with the iPad or your Airport Extreme.
If the problem is with the iPad you will likely have to talk to Apple support since this is likely a hardware problem (disconnected antenna, etc).
You could try using Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings to see if that helps.

  • Extremely weak vibration in Nokia Lumia 925

I bought a new Nokia Lumia 925 last week. It has extremely weak vibration in Silent mode or Ring + Vibrate mode. I have missed several calls due to this problem. Earlier I had a Samsung mobile which had good vibration. While Nokia Lumia 925 has several good features but this weak vibration is a big problem for me. I see that several people have faced this issue. If Nokia does not replace my mobile with a good working one, I will go back to Samsung for this single problem of weak vibration in Nokia Lumia 925

Even my lumia 520 has a weak vibration, and i think is all lumia phones, the vibration is very weak

  • I bought my iPhone 4 open line in Vancouver, Canada last week for use here in my home base in Bangkok, Thailand.  But when I tried using my Thai sim, I get a very weak signal, if not a weak signal, then a no service status.  What do I do?

I bought my iPhone 4 open line in Vancouver, Canada last week for use here in my home base in Bangkok, Thailand.  But when I tried using my Thai sim, I get a very weak signal, if not a weak signal, then a no service status.  I also have very weak wifi reception.  What do I do?
    I already tried the following:
    a. Turned the phone off and then on.
    b. Checked all wifi connections – no problem given that all our laptops and desktops can connect seamlessly.
    c. I tried restoring the phone to original factory settings via itunes
    d. Tried resetting the phone.
    e.     Tried different microsims from all networks
    f. However, all methods failed given that the network reception is very weak and often reflects – “no service”.  And with regards to the wifi reception It has difficulty in reading even the signal right in front of the wifi router.
I went to two Apple resellers here in Bangkok and requested that they please look at my Iphone and have it serviced.  I was frustrated when they said that given that I bought my phone in Canada, they are not able to support me and should instead try to contact the Apple store in Canada.
I went to apple.ca website and went to the expresslane support and I was said to register and callback.  Tried calling the 1800 number but given that I was in Thailand I had difficulty getting a connection.

  • Very weak Right Channel output

Looks like this is a growing hardware defect on the iPod Classics.  This leaves me wondering how long Apple will ignore this before resolving the problem or do their sales level leave them unmotivated to even discuss it.
I have the 160GB model, about 15 months old.  The right channel has gone VERY weak.
I am using the standard factory headset which works fine in any other device so the headset is ruled out.
The headset jack in the iPod is clean and makes good contract with the headset and persists when connected via the base connector (see below), so the headset jack is ruled out.
I can connect the iPod to a portable docking port that connects to the iPod via the connector at the base of the headset.  The right channel is also weak when playing music out the portable dock speakers.  So, this rules out all connectors.
Next, I tried changing the Equalizer settings across all personalities (Rock, Jazz, etc) with no change in the problem.
Next, I tried doing a master reset (Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons simultaneously until the Apple/iPod logo appears). No joy.  Problem
Finally, the Factory Reset was tried using iTunes (which only seems to erase the hard disk and reload all my music).
None of this has worked.  Either there was a bad firmware update from Apple, which they will never admit to by policy obviously, or there is a hardware defect in the latest design of the iPod Classic.  There are far too many people posting this problem on the net for this to be an isolated case.
Has anyone found a resolution to this problem (WITHOUT armchair guessing)?
    Thanks.

    - If it works with other headphones the try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. Also try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack
    - Next Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem.
    - Reset. Nothing was lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If still problem that points to a problem with the headophone jack.

  • I have version 4.1.2 and recorded a lead guitar track (live classical guitar) using the acoustic guitar echoes (flange enabled). Now, when I burn a CD, the guitar track is very weak. Any clues?

I have version 4.1.2 and have been doing great rercording for several years. I use only real instruments. This week I added "acoustic guitar echoes" to my classical guitar, and that enabled the "flanger" setting which is what I wanted. Mysteriously, every time I burn a test CD, that lead guitar track is very weak, even though the recording level is quite high. Nothing I have done has helped the mix. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to circumvent it? I've tried burning straight from GB to a CD and also via Itunes; it doesn't make any difference. Thanks.

P.S. I usually record my classical guitar on the "vocal" and "live performance" settings, using my Blue YETI mic, set on stereo. I get great recordings which always transfer perfectly to my CDs. I'm puzzled why adding the acoustic guitar echoes would be failing in the burn process. Hope this clarifies.

  • Very weak signal

    Hello
I have just moved, and in last home the airport express sent a strong signal to my iBook and my G5.
Now that I have moved (and I added the connection to my speakers) the signal is very weak (but working) on my G5 but full signal on the iBook.
I checked Airport Admin and increased robustness also I don't think it's other items that may cause interference.
The Express is now on the same shelf as my TV, DVD, stereo, but I don't think that should matter should it?
    Please help

It is very possible that you may have some form of Wi-Fi interference in the immediate area that is preventing you from getting a good clean signal.
I suggest you perform a simple site survey, using utilities like KisMAC, MacStumbler, iStumbler, or IPNetMonitorX to determine potential areas of interference...and then, try to either eliminate or significantly reduce them.

  • E90 Very weak WiFi signal

My E90 has a VERY weak WiFi signal, and in places I regularly use a 9500 and my laptop with no problem, my E90 simply will not work e.g. from first floor to ground floor. If I move closer to the Wireless router, then it is fine on both Email and Web.
So it seems purely that the strength on E90 is far weaker than 9500.
    Has anyone else found this?
Is there any way to alter signal strength in the various WiFi settings?
Or is this yet another shortcoming of E90 over 9500?

Yes I already altered Tx power settings. Thanks for suggestion. Makes no difference.
It really seems this E90 just has a vastly lower power WiFi rating than my 9500.
It is very tedious to be unable to connect even within one's own home and frankly renders the phone totally useless, quite apart from all the other problems well documented on here.
I think I can see why so many are up for sale on Ebay.
Does anyone at Nokia read these discussion pages and does anyone care that their products seem to fall short in SO MANY aspects?!
That's right, it seems no one reads these discussion.
However, if u have ur problem solved, pls advise
