  • Material costs not captured in production order

    Hi all,
After clicking 'Cost order' (Ctrl+F7) in production order header screen, if i am checking the cost component structure(Goto->Costs->Cost comp. structure) of production order, only the operation costs are captured. The materials costs are not captured here. Please suggest me in this issue.
    Regards,
    Krishna Chandra.

Hi everybody..thanx for the replies..i want to clear the following things to u,
    1. Costing variance key is PPC1 for planned and PPC2 for actual.
    2. I have maintained the prices in the material master - MAP for child items & Std for the header item.
    3. This is happening for all the production orders
    4. I have kept the costing relevancy for all the materials in the BOM.
Apart from these please give me the possible inputs to solve the problem.
    Regards,
    Krishna Chandra

  • Target Cost not captured in the production order.

    Dear All,
I have created cost estimate for the FG material and moved the standard cost to FG material and created the production order.
In the production order ,I could see the Actaul cost & Plan cost, but the Target cost is ZERO.I have checked the entire and PP & CO settings ,it is OK.
Please let me know that what could be the reason for not capturing the Target Cost.
    Regards
    Subbu

    Hi Subbu
    1. Have you released the cost estimate from CK24 before GR from prod order? Check if field Current price in Costing 2 view is not Zero
    2. If your contr area currency is different than comp code currency, then your costing variant should allow you to release the cost in contr area currency as well.. T code OKKN ("assignments" tab)
    3. Check if target cost version 0 is defined properly and assigned to your contr area
    4. check if variance key is there in your prod order.. you can assign default var key to plant in OKVW
    5. Execute Variance calculation KKS1/2/6

  • Raw material cost not coming KE30 profitability report

    Dear Gurus,
We have two material type for our finished product for one material type without having cost release for current period we can't release the billing document for accounts but in other material type we can release the billing document for account without releasing the cost for current period.
This occurs with problem that in KE30 we are not receiving the raw material cost & administration cost. Please suggest what should I do to correct this?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I already assigned costing key to material type (FERT,HALB) but bifurcation of COGM not flow to CO-PA.
    In T.code KEPR
1.All F/V i maintained as 3 is it ok or i need to maintain it 1 or 2.
    2.In T.code KE4J
Record type = F i maintained for FERT,HALB category materials & assigned in Costing key
Earlier before release i assigned in T.code ke4i
    Condition type             Value fields
    VPRS                          Stock value
Then some value flow to copa
After i release i removed stock value from ke30 report and added material cost ,sub contracting cost, material overhead but no value flown CO-PA.
    Pl check

the freight cost shoud be captured in seperate GL account, thus i have maiantined FR1 in pricing and assigned FRC1 condition type, i have maintained FRC1 as stastical as i dont want the freight cost to be added to material cost,

i have maintained OBYC setting  for FR1 as well

    HI,
Check your Pricing Procedure in M/08 whether you have given FRE for your Act Key & FR1 for your Accrls key in your Freight Condition type FRC1 & also check the G/L account assignments in OBYC for the same.

  • Rework cost not capturing in production order

    Hi Experts,
I'm not getting rework order cost in the main production order while settlement of the production order. I maintained settlement rule in the rework order as ORD (Main production order number).
    Please help me.
    Naren

    Hi
If settlement is done properly i.e. w/o test run indicator and the rework order has values posted to it - Then KO88 or CO88 must be successful. If not, system would tell you the error #

  • Profitability Analysis not generated in Contract billing Document

I have created the Billing document against the contract order but the Profitability Analysis is not getting generated.  But any sale order related billing document is created; system automatically creates the Profitability Analysis.
Can you tell me where the problem is or have I missed any steps?
    Regards,
    Devendra

    1) For a service material (DIEN), We are creating an Sales Order (VA01) and doing a order based billing (VF01). In the Sales Order we are giving the plant (no shipping point and storage location as it is a DIEN material).
Once we do the billing we are able to see the Profitability Analysis document.
    2) Now we are using the same material we are creating a Contract (VA41) for a period of one year and doing a monthly billing. In this case we are using VF04 for doing the bills that are due.
We are getting two results in this:
    a) If we give a Plant in the contract, the Profitability Analysis document is not getting generated at the time of billing.
    b) If we do not give any plant, the Profitability Analysis document is getting generated at the time of billing.
Please note that we are using the same material, same pricing procedure in both the above cases 1) and 2). Only difference is that the source documents are different i.e., one is Sales Order and the other one is Contract.
In our copa valuation we have assigned the conditions to value field, no derivation rule assigned.

  • How to Calculate Profitability Analysis ?

    Hi
    kishore
This is basically a part of Sales and Distribution Module . can u just revert me back with the Answer .
    Regards
    kishore

    Dear kishore
Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) enables you to evaluate market segments, which can be classified according to products, customers, orders or any combination of these, or strategic business units, such as sales organizations or business areas, with respect to your company's profit or contribution margin.
The aim of the system is to provide your sales, marketing, product management and corporate planning departments with information to support internal accounting and decision-making.
Two forms of Profitability Analysis are supported: costing-based and account-based.
Costing-based Profitability Analysis is the form of profitability analysis that groups costs and revenues according to value fields and costing-based valuation approaches, both of which you can define yourself. It guarantees you access at all times to a complete, short-term profitability report.
Account-based Profitability Analysis is a form of profitability analysis organized in accounts and using an account-based valuation approach. The distinguishing characteristic of this form is its use of cost and revenue elements. It provides you with a profitability report that is permanently reconciled with financial accounting.
    Thanks

  • CAPTURING OF COST IN PROFITABILITY ANALYSIS FOR  BY PRODUCT

    Dear Team,
We had a requirement when standard material cost estimate is executed we can get the standard price for main material as well as by product for which values are flowing to COPA (T.code KE30).
The scenario works fine for Main Product, since the actuals as well as Costs are flowing to COPA. Where as only actuals are posting to byproduct as there are no separate cost estimate for Byproduct.
So only acutals are caputured to Profitability analysis.
At present we are manually changing the price of the byproduct material through MR21 which is constant through out the period.
Our requirement:- Since Byproduct doesnt have any separate BOM and Routing, Is it possible to capture this byproducts price to COPA.
    or
capturing of COGS for this byproducts price is also ok.
    Please anybody can guide me.
    Thanks & regards,
    Sandeep

    Dear Santosh,
    Thanks for your early reply.
    It might work, Please elaborate.
Request you to send any document if you have any, since i am new in CO.
it was availbale in my user profile.

  • Profitable analysis and cost accounting doc

    hi,
May i know why some of billing in vf03 only have cost accounting doc whereas some have both profitable analysis and cost accounting doc in document category when click accounting button.
    thanks

    Hi,
Please check the Sales Condition Types assigned to Value fields. May be some of your condition types are assigned to Value fields and some of are not. Go to KE4I.
Also check the PA Transfer Strcuture in KEI2, Whether relevant Cost Elements are assigned to Value Fields or not.

  • Costs of the product calculation lack in the profitability analysis

    Hello there,
A group of students and I are currently working on a SAP project which is about to implement a full cost accounting in the SAP system (ERP). At first we used a case study reading (Friedl,Hilz,Pedell), some important components for calculating the products like u201Ccosting sheetu201D, u201Ccost component structureu201D and u201Ccosting variantu201D do exist already.
For our project we had to insert an additional primary cost center. For that reason we also added new components (the above given ones). After that the costs for our products could be calculated in the right way. We also booked supplies and stated the quantity of sales. Our problem is that the Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) does not show any costs of our cost centers (material input, manufacturing costs, overhead costs) only the earnings. We did not add any u201Cattributesu201D, u201Cderivation rulesu201D or u201Cvalue fieldsu201D but fulfilled all requirements in the Customizing menu (u201CAssign costing key to productu201D, u201CAssign costing key to productu201D, u201CAssign value fields for cost component structureu201D).
The first time when we used the case study reading and therefore another company code everything worked fine. We think that the problem might be that the costing key is not attached to the products.
Thank you for any help and suggestions,
    Kind regards!

In the same area as where you assign the costing key to the product, there is also an entry where you need to define the costing key. You don'tr mention that you have done that.
In the user menu for Profitability Analysis, there are also a lot of tcodes that will help you investigate the flows of values and derivation of characteristics. They are very helpful in most cases.

  • Activate Profitability analysis

    Dear Gurus,
Whnever My SD member is creating the Excise Invoice in J1IIN, thn the message is coming as "<i><b> Activate Profitability Analysis in Controlling Area</b></i>". After activating the same the message is coming as " <i><b>System failure during the locking of the GL account".</b></i>
The Message no for Profitability analysis is KI144.
    SATYA

Have you defined Excise GL code as a cost element in controlling and assigned to PA segment?
In case you do not want to activate COPA, remove the assignment to PA and assign default cost center in case you are not able to delete cost element (t code KA04).
