VF11 success or failure?

Hi Folks,
Can anyone here please let me know how to check whether the VF11 transaction is success or not?
It is not generating any error message and all the messages are like
Billing block blocked,already invoiced which infact doesn't sound like an error message.
So, how we are going to check the staus of VF11 ?
In the prog they have used some message number (table-T100) to check the status.I
s that the only way to check the status of the above said transaction?

Hi!
You can check in the invoice's document flow (VF03 - Document flow button), is there a storno for the invoice or not.
The table of the document flow is VBFA.
In VBRK there is a field, SFAKN, which contains the storned invoice number at a storno invoice.

Need to send success or failure message to BAPI of SQL query action block

I need to send success or failure message(i.e. 1 or 0) to BAPI which has been called below sql query action block in transaction
Here in SAP, i have created on BAPI with one import parameter and one export parameter.
In the sql query action block, it insert records in the database table. If it fail or success, that message(numeric value 1 or 0) has to send to SAP program through BAPI.
I have created a SAP ABAP program which sends message to MII Message listener through RFC then in the process rule message it will call transaction, in transaction, sql query will insert records into database table. if it success or fail, it will pass to BAPI. And i calling that BAPI in the same SAP ABAP Program to show in the output screen.
Here the issues, i am not getting the value from BAPI which has send by the transaction in MII.

I am facing problem regarding completion notifications in Oraclr r12, when user click the upon completion generated notifications it can only be viewd once, second time user cannot view the notifications.
I have find that fnd_file_temp table store this information and deleted it.

Reporting success or failure of labview command line build

We've set up a nightly build for our project, using a batch file for compiling the C++ code in our project on Windows. Thanks to some other posts on this subject, we've gotten the command-line build to work in Labview 8.2. I'd like to add the Labview build command to same batch file as the C++ build. We found how to check within Labview if the project built or failed; however, I didn't see a way to report the success or failure status of the build from the Labview environment back up into the calling batch file (as/just before Labview exits).
One option is to have the batch file check for the existence of the Labview output executable file(s). Does anyone have a more elegant solution?

Hello Adam,
Based on what you have described, your method seems to be the simplest way to do it. You can not only check whether the executable files were created, but you can also check to see the modification dates to make sure that they are from the latest build.

Success and Failure messages Report

Hi All,
Could you advice if it is possible within SAP XI to generate a report or list of messages with sender party, receiver party and timestamp for reference. Say end of day we need to run a report of how many successful message passed thru XI and the messages that failed. In XI we can see that, but can we generate a report out of automatically at the end of the day, or mail it to a particular e-mail address?
Can I create a spreadsheet report of all the success and failure messages with the time, sender party, receiver party automatically whenever desired.

SSIS Package execution completes without giving any success or failure message

Hi,
We are using SSIS to load some 100k records from flat file to Oracle Destination. We are using Oracle 10g client.
But during the execution after some 5hrs or 6hr with 900k records upload we are getting the message Package execution completed. In the Execution results there is no message related to success or failure and the tasks in the Data Flow where yellow in color. What might be the problem? Any information regarding this case will be helpful for us.

Usually you will have a red object somewhere in your package if there was a failure. Make sure you are looking in both the Control Flow and all the Data Flows in the package for a red object. In the execution results in the far right tab, usually you will see several warning messages somewhere in the list of steps, followed by a message that says you have exceded the number of errors for the package and that it is failing. This is not at the bottom but where the errors actually occur in the flow of messages.
I don't know if that helps, but that is about all I can add. Good luck.

Custom success and failure messages on quiz results slide

I'm trying to create a custom success and failure message on the quiz results slide, using certain colours in the text caption to reflect our company's brand. So I've added an advanced action on entering the slide so that if the quiz percentage is 80% or more, the success message shows, and the failure message hides. It seems that this should work, but for some reason, only the failure message displays, regardless of whether I fail or pass. Has anyone else tried this with any success?

I've changed the retake and continue buttons to image buttons, then added my custom success and failure captions which I've named 'fail_f' and 'pass_f':
And here is my advanced action on entering the quiz results slide:
The hide-button, is a white rectangle that I added so that I could place it over the retake button if they passed the quiz successfully.

to be able to see an events You'v must Enable the auditing as the follow below:

Quiz Success and Failure Captions

Is it possible to set the length of time a quiz success or
failure caption is displayed for the user? I thought I saw settings
somewhere but for the life of me can't figure out where to do this.

Captivate. Actually, version 2 is a step better, as the caption
text is no longer misleading. (In Captivate 1, the text said
Correct/Incorrect - Click to continue, which implied you had to
click directly on the caption in order to proceed.)

simply disappear after a pre-determined period of time, please

BODS 3.1 :SMTP configuration to send email for success or failure of job

I did not find a complete set of information as things to do (for a person who is new to BODS).
Hence sharing the workflow which works for me when tested on a simple workflow :
Pre-requisite : SMTP service to be made available on the BODS server and port 25 to be opened up.
This is done by the IT dept of the company.
When smtp service is activated and port 25 is opened up, telnet IP address 25 should say, service is available.
Suggestion : create a email group like : bods at company.com which can be used to be used for the BODS JOBs. Which does not prompt for a password. This also is done by the IT dept of the company.
1) On the BODS server :
1) Click open Data Services Server Manager
2) SMTP settings for smtp_to functions :
Add the IP Address of the SMTP server
Add the email address of the sender. Eg. bodsjobs at companyname,com
3)Apply/Restart the server.
2) Login to BODS Designer :
Create a test job :
TRY ==>DF===> Script for success ===> CATCH script for failure
In the script for success : add the following :

smtp_to('bodsjobs at abc,com', ' SUCCESS OF JOB : '
|| job_name(),'Job completed successfully ', 0, 0);

In the script for Catch add the following :

The job will run and if it is successful. You will receive the succes mail.
If there is any error in the DF before the catch, you will receive a mail, which says failure.
The above workflow, when tested atleast works for me.

Am really not aware as to how to make things work from the console.
I work on windows environment both at client and on the server.
It looks like you got a bit confused on suggestion of a email group account.
I never did anything on outlook configuration for activation of smtp for bods.
I think you should not mess with outlook.
I dont know from the client side how things work.
But i have worked directly on the BODS server where the bods installation was done.
It is relatively very simple to do and to test.
But to even test why you get that error.
All you need is just a email id. Which could be yours ???
Put your email id as the source of email in that box in the job server.
And put only your email id in smtp_to and test it.
Run a test job. If it completes successfully. You will receive a mail.
In the catch, if you have checked all the boxes for error capture,
if the job fails, it would throw a dump of the errors in the email.
Once everything works well and you receive emails for any jobs you are running.
Then you could decide for the source of your email id and for the receipients of your emails of the jobs.
You could put a group id of your team as source. And also in smtp_to script in case you want everyone to receive the alert that the job has been done or it has errors.
Or include only those email ids in the smtp_to whom you feel, should receive the mail.
Hope this idea helps.
Please dont mess with outlook for any smtp activation for bods.
It is not required if you are working on a windows environment.
You just need a email id for testing.
Outlook configuration does not come into picture at all.
if there is any other unix environment involved. I have no idea.
And i really do not know how things would be from a client side to configure.
Server configurations i do from the server.
I did all configurations on the main server machine. Not from the client.
And I have only one job server so i did everything there.
I did not do anything from management console.
I use management console only for monitoring of jobs on a daily basis, the dashboard which gives you details of the data pulled, time taken etc etc.

What is the difference between Reply with Success and Reply with Failure.
In the error handler of a proxy service I have a "Raise Error" action and after that I have Reply Acton.
Response is the same whether I do reply with success or reply with Failure.
Please help me, when should I use Reply with Success and Reply with Failure and what is the difference between the two.

Reply with Success:
tran:response-code in the response metadata will be set to '0' specifying a successful operation.
In case of HTTP service the HTTP response code will be set to 200
Response will contain contents of $body
Any consumer of the service will see the call as being successfully completed.
In case of JMS transport the JMS Queue or Topic will get an ACK back and message will be removed from the destination.
This is usually used when you are able to properly handle an error and take any alternative actions needed to complete the request.
Reply with Failure:
tran:response-code in the response metadata will be set to '1' specifying a Failed operation.
In case of HTTP service the HTTP response code will be set to 500
Response will contain contents of $body NOT $fault. If you need to send back content of $fault you will have to replace contents of $body with those of $faults before using reply with failure.
Any consumer of the service will see the call as being failed and depending on the error handling in the consumer code error processing will be activated.
In case of JMS transport the JMS Queue or Topic will receive a NACK back but the message will NOT roll back and will be removed from the destination just like in case of Reply with Success. This happens because using a Reply action is considered as an exception being handled properly and a commit will be sent back to the JMS destination. To roll back the message ensure that you use Raise Error instead of a Reply action.

Advanced auditing turned on for both success and failure and overide setting enabled, but no failure audits showing.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and found a solution. the policy has been applied
and enforced through the default domain policy. New category success events are showing up, but

On Success/On failure

Hello,
I am creating a captivate project following the principles outlined in the eSeminar by Allen Partridge about self guided knowledge based eLearning.
I'm trying to replicate the process of :
Problem-on success -> continue
-on failure -> learn more slide -> try again
I can get captivate to do the action on success but there is no option to send the user to the "learn more" section when they fail...
Do I need to set the slides up as quiz slides to do this? I currently have them as image slides with click boxes....

Is there any way on just a click box element to have an "on failure" command?

Applet tracing success, deployment failure

Hello
Can someone look at the trace below and explain why the appletClient_testing.jar successfully downloads and is written to the cache but the single class file within, appletClient00.class is not found. I can guarantee the class is in there and case sensitively correct, can even provide a screen shot for pure objectivity. This is a minimal test, I am able to deploy other far more complex applets the same way, why not this one. I know famous recanted words "nothing is different", but isnt, yes. Any enlightenment would be appreciated.
