VG 224 Broken tone in GB tones is dead

I have a VG224 registered to a CCM4.1 cluster via SCCP. When a user has a message waiting they should get broken tone but are getting dead air. The line still works i.e. you can still make and receive calls but there is no dial tone at all. Goes away if the message is collected.
"cptone gb" is set on the ports and the problem goes away if you use "cptones us" so the problem must be with the broken tone in cptone GB!
Have tried several different ios images, nothing seems to make a difference.
Any ideas?

French Roast: The speakers in notebook computers — ALL notebook computers — are necessarily tiny, and are therefore severely compromised in their ability to reproduce sound faithfully, especially low-frequency sound. They are, to be blunt, not suitable for listening to music. They're fine for Skype calls, listening to recorded books or podcasts, etc., but if you want to listen to music, you need speakers or headphones.
If it were possible to get good sound out of speakers as small as the ones in a notebook computer, the subwoofer in a home-theater audio system would be no larger than a Pink Pearl pencil eraser, and each other speaker in such a system would be the size of two stacked nickels. That's not the case, and it's because speakers that small can't reproduce full-spectrum sound. So don't expect good sound from notebook computer speakers, and you won't be disappointed.

  • IPhone 4 changes the key/pitch/tone of every song? Broken tone in iTunes on iPhone, fine on computer?

    Hey everyone,
I am very frustrated right now. Out of NOWHERE, my iPhone 4 has been changing the pitch of every single song that I put in my iTunes library on my iPhone 4. When I play it from the iPhone through my PC, it sounds normal. HOWEVER, as soon as I play it through the iPhone, speakers or headphones, the song sounds completely different, like its underwater and being sung by a gospel singer. I have no idea how to fix it and it's driving me crazy.
    Thank you

  • G5 semi-startup, weird tone, and dead ?!?!?

I have a Dual 2GHz G5 with OS 10.4.3 and 2.5GB RAM Just this evening this started happening: when I press the power button to start the G5 up, the power light briefly while the fans fire up...and then everything goes silent.
I plugged into an entirely different outlet, changed the power cable, unplugged all peripherals but the keyboard/mouse/monitor - but nothing worked.
What's even stranger is if I hold the power button in, the power light stays lit and the computer will go a bit further into the startup cycle and then suddenly emit a steady tone through the internal speaker until I let go of the button. Is this some sort of warning signal that the PSU is busted?
I haven't tried taking out the extra RAM yet, so I guess that's the next step. Any suggestions?

Your symptoms look exactly like mine - including the processor and memory configuration
I tried booting the machine after it had been powered down and disconnected from the mains for about two weeks, and got the same behaviours as yours (although I didn't try pressing the power button for more than 10 secs or so).
My computer has now been at the repair workshop for 4 weeks, and they still haven't been able to figure out what's wrong with it.

  • NI-FBUS Configurator supplied with a broken serial number-- $4K+ for a dead product.

Hello, we received our Fieldbus Host Starter Kit today (12/6/06).  The order was placed on 8/8/06 under order #1642893.
We are trying to install NI-FBUS configurator/communications manager on a Windows XP laptop.  After going through the installation process, I entered the
serial number that is on our certificate of ownership for the "NI-FBUS CONFIGURATOR FOR WINDOWS WITH HSE/HI LINKING DEVICE, HSE SUPPORT."
That number starts with X103...  The program then gave the screen with the computer ID, the 15 digit "numeric serial number," the 10 digit
"numeric product code" and a 25 digit "numeric computer ID."
I phoned these numbers into 800-207-4012, and the "numeric product code" was rejected.  I tried 4 times.
After speaking with NI tech support, they said that the format for the serial number on my certificate of ownership was for hardware-- not software.
They also said that there is no tech support for the NI-FBUS product line, and that after spending $4000+ on this system, we have to beg for help
on the discussion forum if we want assistance.  For now, our $4K+ bought a system that is dead on arrival.

    Hello,
We are really very sorry for this problem!
Please contact our local CSR (Customer Service Representative). They could help you activate your software but they will require the Serial Number as well. Please tell them that this is a very special case and ask them whether they could bypass the serial number. If they cannot do so, please ask them whether they could help you activate the "Configurator with HSE support" license with other tools.
Please be aware that the FF support team is China now. If you have any question regarding the NI-FBUS products, please mail to [email protected], we will be glad to help you.
Thanks a lot for helping us find this problem. Anyway, we're really very sorry for this inconvenience!
Hope it helps and please feel free to let me know if I could do more help for you!

my iphone is broken, and i came to store to change a new one today. When I come home, I found I lost my backup and may be mistake is made during before backup. The information in my previous iphone is really important for me? how can I get the backup back?

If you don't have a backup then the only possible solution is to go back to the store and see if they can get your old phone and create a backup of that. I know very often that Apple employees will wipe the returned iPhones clean before shipping them back to wherever they ship them.
When you say your old phone was "broken" does this mean it is dead and won't turn on?
Do you have a Time Machine backup of your computer, or a clone that might have this info on it?
Other than that I hate to say you may be out of luck. Time Machine and/or a cloning program performed regularily will inevitably save your a** in situations like this.

    Hi ,
    I have groupwise 7.0 version.
and I have 1 volume with 100 GB used...
and the OFFILES Folder takes most of the space, how can I reduce this

I will waiting for your comments..

Ahh, but if an a post office was set to manually delete and archive and no
expire/reduces are run. It is conceivable that an old file in the offiles
folder can be an old attachment on a old message stored in the user's
    mailbox some where ?!

  • Flip video problems

I am having problems getting my kids videos from the flip video ultra into i movie. I can download them onto my macbook pro and watch them in quicktime but they wont import into i movie (on ilife 08). I have downloaded the latest updates and still cant do it. please help. thanks

I have QTPro so I'm a happy camper but for those unaware, the CODEC shipping with the Flip Cam appears to have formats from Microsoft:
_Source (AVI) from Flip Cam - wife holding kid washing hands_
    Format: XviD (3ivx), 640 x 480, Millions, Microsoft ADPCM, Mono, 44.100 kHz
    FPS: 30
    *Data Size:* 4.00MB
    *Data Rate:* 3673.94 kbits/s
    *Normal Size:* 640 x 480
    *Current Size:* 640 x 480 (Actual)
_Export (MOV) Using QuickTime Pro - Movie to QuickTime Movie / LAN/Intranet_
    Format: XviD (3ivx), 640 x 480, Millions, Microsoft ADPCM, Mono, 44.100 kHz
    FPS: 30.09
    *Data Size:* 1.67MB
    *Data Rate:* 1532.30 kbits/s
    *Normal Size:* 640 x 480
    *Current Size:* 640 x 480 (Actual)
    Quality
I see no discernible quality difference between these two clips.

As a previous Windows users and like many Windows friends, I used to be really turned off by Apple's continual badgering to "go pro" with QT. I finally did it, however, after listening to some pundits on a podcast - I think it was MacBreakWeekly. Here's why.
    Export Options
For $30, not only can you convert nearly any source video format into any destination video format:
    Movie to 4G
    Movie to AppleTV
    Movie to AVI
    Movie to DV Stream
    Movie to FLC
    Movie to Hinted Movie
Movie to Image Sequence (yes, make a "movie" of a directory of still images)
    Movie to iPHone
    Movie to iPHone (celluar)
    Movie to iPod
    Movie to MPEG-4
    Movie to Picture
    Movie to QuickTime Media Link
    Movie to QuickTime Movie
    Movie to Windows Media
    Sound to AIFF
    Soudn to AU
    Sound to Wave
And, most of these export options have pre-built data rates that make it easy to choose from
    Default Settings
    Most Recent Settings
    LAN/Intranet
    Broadband - HIGH
    Broadband - MED
    Broadband - LOW
    Dial-up
    Dial-up Audio Only
    Streaming - Medium
    Streaming - Low
    (ii) Editing
You can also edit videos better than you can in the Flip Video for Mac s/w. Have a 3 minute clip of your kid eating ice cream with tons of dead space? Why spend time importing that video into iMovie? Just use the scrub control on QTPro and pick on the portion of the video you care about and share that with others. QT is a much better product and software interface than the included software with the Flip Cam. Personally I feel imprisoned by the software on the Flip Video. First thing I did was run the Flip Video for Mac software which installed the 3ivx layer on top of QT. Now I just drag and drop the DCIM directory's AVI files to my Finder and use QTPro from there.
    (iii) Export to Web
In addition to the wealth of Export options it provides, QTPro even has an export for web option which, in one fell swoop, creates three files:
    1. desktop
    2. iphone
    3. iphone celluar
    (iv) Poster Frame
You know that video icon you see on your desktop? QTPro allows you to set that frame of your video that is your desired icon for quick reference later!
    (v) Share Options
With nearly a single click you can share your movie via:
    Email
    HomePage
    Podcast Producer
    In the sizes of
    Small
    Medium

  • BB Curve 8900 Rringtones very quite ???

Hi new to the forum and have a blackberry curve 8900 but i have noticed that the ringtone on it is very quite - i have been through all the settings and changed to hi but still a bit quite - is there any links to louder ringtones or can i set it up diffrent ?
    Regards

I also suffered this problem.  I just updated the software.  The phone rings the first few times, but now it's all quiet.  It plays music, so the speaker is working.  It vibrates, so that is working too. The ring tone is dead.  Is there a way we can revert back to the previous software version?
Other programs also run slower with this update.  The email notification used to pop up with 1 minute after I received an email (I checked).  Now it takes a full 5 minutes before I would get a notification.

  • HV30 - 24p HDV CINE MODE - but DV output

    Hi,
I just bought a HV30 and I did some footage on 24p (I know it is not recognize with iMovie) cine HDV mode.
    2 questions :
    - I do my editing and then when it is time to export the final movie I can't do it in HD. The max rez is 960*540 ? Any ideas, would it be the consequences of shooting 24p?
    - During that editing after few clips have been chosen I can't add any transition anymore. It just don't take it. Any ideas again?
Thank you in advance for your help. That is totally new to me. I understand that iMovie is a little bit short if you want to do serious editing but still it's far from bad. Though I am really impressed by Final Cut... So powerful.

and, to defend Apple: it's called Expert Option (was called..). and it found 'somehow' its way into a consumer app.. which, another Apple attitude, usually has NO options. (Apple= easy, but limited, Windows=zillion of options, getting lost..). the average Daddy-does-movies doesn't need all that stuff.. 24p IS exotic.. in a 20$-app.
FCE includes a ~1400 pgs 'manual' - as pdf (.. me went to a copyshop.. they made me a real 'book'/two out of it..). Only the FCsuite comes with half-a-ton of dead-tree manuals..

  • Systemd doesn't umount (encrypted) /home and /tmp on shutdown

    Hi all,
as this is my first post in this BBS, I hope I'm actually posting in the correct forum. I also did some research but couldn't really find answers.
I have a problem with systemd on shutdown. It doesn't unmount my encrypted home partition (and does not close the LUKS partition) and the /tmp partition. The corresponding output from journalctl would be this:

Now, with the usual sysv-init this wouldn't be a problem but with systemd (which I'm new to) this poses a problem. I don't know where to start debugging this issue, really. I haven't found a way to run a script directly before and after the umount.target units starts so I can't really see which files are open or what the problem is at this point.
Is it possible to drop to a shell on such errors and inspect the problem manually? Or does anyone have a suggestion why systemd doesn't want to unmount these filesystems?
    Here's my /etc/fstab:

I think the /home part of the issue for me is at least partially due to how I have mpd configured.  I start it with my X session and it persists after I log out, keeping a few files in my home folder open.  If I make sure it is not running, log out to LightDM, and use its menu to reboot, I do not get a journal message about /home.  If I kill mpd, but instead issue a `systemctl reboot/poweroff` command from a terminal in X, the problem returns.  Is this normal?  I guess I expected everything to be automatically cleaned up.
/tmp, on the other hand, remains a mystery.  If I remove it from my /etc/fstab - to use the default tmp.mount (tmpfs) systemd provides - the problem goes away.  But if I keep it as is, and do something silly like replace /bin/umount with this:
    #!/bin/sh
    /bin/test "$1" = "/tmp" && /bin/date -Ins >> /umount-tmp.log
    /bin/test "$1" = "/tmp" && /bin/lsof /tmp >> /umount-tmp.log
    /bin/umount.real "$@"
all I get is a list of times.
Also, I tried following the steps here (Shutdown Completes Eventually), but the output mostly mirrors what I get from journalctl:
    [ 219.132058] systemd[1]: Stopping Local File Systems.
    [ 219.132062] systemd[1]: local-fs.target changed active -> dead

  • What to do with old Logic Board

Logic board from Mac Pro died and I have replaced the computer with a iMac.  Anyone know the best option to get some cash for the logic board? Any place that buys broken parts like this?

A dead logic board is not worth much. But a Mac Pro case with working power supply might be worth something.
One place to sell is eBay.

  • Swap screen and digitizer from 3gs to 3g?

I have a fully working 3g with a broken glass, I also have a dead 3gs (will not complete restore), anyone know if I can swap the screen and digitizer from the 3gs to the 3g?

  • My powerbook got soaked!

My powerbook got watterloggeed while we were out sailing ( stupid broken bilge pump) and it is dead, no sound, no boot, nothing. I'mwondering what I would need to replace, or fix to get it working again. Or if I should just sell it off for parts. Would any thing still work right after that? or would the display be damaged, as well as other parts. I wouldn't want to sell people broken pieces.
What typically is the most common scenario?

    NO salt water
The odds of it working again are very slim, but you have nothing to lose but a little bit of your time, so . . .
First, do not try to power it up.
I would remove the battery, RAM, and bottom cover. Dab up as much water as you can.
After that, I would open the display and set the PB flat, then upside down, then on one side, then another, for at least a day in each position, dabbing up any water you see each time. This will help allow any water caught in "pockets" to move as you turn your PB. If you have a fan, you may want to point it at the PB for at least some of the time to facilitate evaporation.
After this, I'd wait another two days, then install bottom cover, RAM, batt, and connect power adapter, pray, and try booting it.
This might seem like a very long time to wait for things to dry, but very minor spills take at least two days to dry in the circuitry, and this, well, I've never heard of anyone completely submerging a PB in water, so who knows what's possible.

  • Toner return label system for Denmark broken

    Hi
I just ordered two toner return labels from
    https://h30248.www3.hp.com/recycle/ereturns/ordermaterials-hpe.asp?__cc=dk&__la=da&segment=ho&focus=...
I'm from Denmark, so Danish mail labels were generated. Unfortunately, the two labels were printed on top of each other which made them unusable. I had to reorder two more labels but one at a time.
I can't seem to attach any files to this forum but I've uploaded the generated pdf document with the broken labels here so you can see the problem for yourself:
    http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=00165742120112634624
I don't need or expect any feedback, I'm just reporting the problem, but you ought to do yourself a favor and fix this. :-)
    Best wishes,
    Jan

Hi All I find that in most cases people fail to do things just because they did not RTFM. The documents are there for us to read, I know sometimes it's annoying to read 50 pages of installation manual but believe you me...once you read it, it becomes
