VGA adapter crashed my ipad now it won't turn back on again
I connected my iPad to my Panasonic plasma TV's PC port using the VGA adapter. I was watching a youtube video. I left the room and when I returned a few minutes later after the video had finished and the TV was blank (no problem there as the video had finished), but my iPad had switched itself off and now won't turn back on again. It's completely unresponsive. There was about 35% battery left.
Can anyone help?! I've used the adapter with this TV many times before with no problems whatsoever... weird.
try holding both buttons until the apple logo appears and then let them go and wait for phone to restart

I was working on my iPad and it turned off suddenly and now it won't turn back on. It was at least 50% charged and when I tried to connect the charger it still will not come on. Is there a reset button?
Thank you so much! It worked, I was reading around and saw this has happened to a number of iPad users. Thank you for your prompt response, I was so worried I broke it or something.

I was playing my iPad 2 I left the room for 5 minutes when I came back it was off and now it won't turn back on
Try this.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -
My MacBook Pro shut itself down and now it won't turn back on and the power light keeps flashing the amber light. I don't know what to do, and this has never happened before.

I turned my iphone off when visiting the doctor's surgery and now it won't turn back on. It had 73% battery left and I have tried connecting it to my computer with USB but nothing happens. I have taken out and replaced the sim card too. Any suggestions
If wjosten's tip doesn't work try plugging it into a USB charger (not through your computer), wait about 30 seconds and it should come on. If it doesn't remove the cord from the phone and keep trying this. I've had this same issue and found a combination of the reset & charging cable tends to work. Sometimes it takes about 5 minutes for the phone to respond.
Best of luck. -
My MacBook Pro 2009 won't turn on. It suddenly won't charge and when it did, I shut it down and now it won't turn back on. Charging shows green and the green little dots are showing on the side. I tried smc reset, command+p+r. Any other suggestions before i take it to apple service center?
A four year battery could be dead. I'd contact an Apple Service Center.

I turned my iPhone3G off and now it won't turn back on. Can anyone suggest what I should do?
plug it in
in a charger or a computer system
if it does show the charging - let it stay there and have it nominally charged - the battery may be failing.
if it does not show anything on screen - try resetting the device (top power button + home button for approx 10 -12 seconds) or check the cables. -
My iPhone 4 although fully charges has just switched itself off and won't turn back on again. I've tried taking the sim card out but nothing happens. I'm just coming to the end of a 2 year contract and never had any problems with it before. Help please.

If you hold the home button and power button for about 10 seconds it will turn back on. I have had his issue 3 times but don't know what fixes it for good

Turned off iphone 5 to preserve its battery and now it won't turn back on
Hello!
I've got my iPhone 5 16gb around 1 year now and today, i needed to preserve its battery life (97% remaining )so i turned it off. A few minutes in i needed to make a phone call but it won't turn back on. I've tried the recommended tips such as:
holding both home and lock screen button
DFU mode
Charging it
Nothing seems to work, i do not know whether the lock screen is broken or not or just whether its a battery or ios problem. Funny thing is that a few days before this incident, there was an 7.1.2 update so yeah idk. Please help. It will be a pain to buy another iPhoneHey there iDopey,
It sounds like you are currently unable to turn on your iPhone on or it is on, but the screen is black. First determine if the unit is on but has a black screen with this:
Display has no backlight or dark screen
Toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
If the low-battery screen appears, charge the iPhone.
If this is the case follow the last step in this post. If not, then move on to this section:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
If that still does not resolve the issue:
