my notebook use onboard graphic card Intel GMA 4500MHD
at the screenshot graphics unknown

unknown and not detected are 2 different things.
Gnome system info has a list of all videocards it knows, and your GMA 4500MHD is apparently not on that list yet.
Do you have problems other then gnome system settings showing unknown ?

Epson scanner perfection 1670 is not detected on system preference pane

It use to work but now it only produces blank grey scans.
I have deinstalled and reinstalled new driver from Epson support site.
I have also tried cleaning the USB connection with no results.
I have noticed that when I tried connecting to the internet from the the scanner Help menu it tells me I am not connected (while I am) and I noticed also that the scanner is not detected on system preference pane.

You can open System Profiler and under the Hardware heading you will see the USB entry. The printer should be listed under one of the USB busses. If you don't see it then the USB cable could be faulty or the printer itself could be cactus. So try another USB cable and in another port on the Mac. If the new cable and socket fails to make the printer appear in the USB view then the printer is the problem.
If the printer is visible under one of the USB busses then this would indicate that the printer and the USB cable is okay. In this case the printer should be capable of being added in Print & Fax. But if you select to add the printer and it does not appear in the Default view of the Add Printer pane then try a reset of the printing system, as described next.
1. Open System Preferences > Print & Fax
2. Move your mouse over the Printers list
3. Hold down the Control button and click the mouse
4. Click the "Reset printing system ..." popup
5. Restart your Mac

Canon MP560 Printer is not detected by System Preferences

Hi everyone,
I am using a 2010 Macbook Pro with OS X Version 10.7.5, I have had this Canon MP560 Printer for about 2 years now and it has been working perfectly until lately when it starts to keep on returning "a communication error has occured" whenever I tried to print something.
I have read through the forum and noticed that people have experienced the same thing as me.
So for me, I have tried the following solutions:
1. Checking if the LAN connection is working and printing the LAN test page from printer. It does print ad says that wireless LAN is enabled an active.
2. I deleted the printer and scanner from System Preferences and try to re-add it
3. Update my software
When I tried to re-add it, there is no printer detected. I tried doing the step-by-step that PAHU recommended that worked for some one but unfortunately it does not work for me. My printer still does not appear when I tried to look up a printer.
(Here is the step by step that I followed:
The printer component of the MP560 can take longer to appear than the scanner component. The scanner uses Bonjour to advertise itself on the wireless network, while the printer component uses a proprietary protocol called "canonijnetwork". If you select to add a printer and have the Default Add Printer view open, you will see the MP560 as Bonjour Scanner in the Kind column. But if you wait at least 15 seconds more, the printer should appear showing "canonijnetwork" in the Kind column.
If this printer component does not appear after 30 seconds maximum then it would suggest a problem with the printer driver installation. So open Finder and navigate to HD > Library > Printers > Canon > BJPrinter and trash the contents of this folder. Then download the latest MP560 driver via this link and run the installer. With the installation completed, try to add the printer again.)
Since I have tried these suggestions but still is not successful I wonder what's wrong with my Printer/Macbook and if there's any other way to add printer (using IP address for example ). If anyone could help me, I would really appreciate it.

Yes I can Ping the IP address from Network Utility.
Before, my Macbook couldn't even recognize the scanner, but now I can add the Scanner from System Preferences.
However, my printer is stll not detected. I am missing some sort of an application or something?

Iphone not detecting by system

I am using iphone 4S, laptop with windows OS. Few days back I have formatted my laptop. Now itunes is detecting mobile if connected but system is not detecting as USB device. Earlier it used to detec as USB so coping photoes n stuff was easy but not I am unable to do it.

Mini display port to vga not detected

Hi,
Can't put the mini displayport to VGA adapter working in my macbook pro 13" running snow leopard.
To debug I try a mini displayport to DVI and it works fine, so I think that it is not an hardware problem, unless VGA adapter uses extra pins from the mini display port. I think that VGA is active and DVI is a passive adapter.
When I connect the VGA adapter to the mac without the monitor the mac LCD flashes blue one time. If I connect the monitor cable it flashes blue 3 or 4 times.
The external monitor always says no signal.
The mac does not seems to detect the adapter, even running the firmware update it can not find the adapter. I try it with and without charger pluged.
The adapter is original from apple and works in other computer.
Can anyone give some help here?

Called Apple Support and they solved my issue.
1) Restart the computer in Safe Mode with display attached (shut down and restart while holding down shift key).
The display showed up without distortion.
2) Change the display to my desired preferences (dimensions and refresh rate).
3) Restart computer. ...and it works like a charm.

Firefox not detecting/using system proxy settings

I use a command line script to change among various proxies (and none). Firefox does not recognize when a proxy is turned on or fails to connect to it (no error messages), while other browsers and applications do just fine.
I have tried selecting "Use system proxy settings" and "Auto-detect proxy settings for this network."
My script contains these lines to activate a proxy

The first line enables the proxy to take effect without entering inetcpl.cpl. Again, this works for any application other than Firefox.
The proxies are all through ssh with port forwarding.
I do not want to manually configure a proxy in Firefox, because I do not want to change this every time I need to change proxies or turn them off. This is not an acceptable solution.
I am on Windows 8.1 64bit, with Firefox version 35.0
Any idea what might be going on here?

Sound blaster Xtreme Audio not detected by system

I am running Windows xp? sp3. AMD Athlon 64 chip.
My System wont detect the sb card, and won't install any drivers.
Cant get the sb card configured at all.

Is your source a DVD/ Blueray or Mp3 etc?
It depends on your source, if your source is Stereo sound, you will need CMSS 3D to be turned on to upmix the sound into 5. channel.
If your source is e.g a Blueray then it should be fine if you set your output settings under VLC or PowerDVD etc to play 5. sounds.
Which case/scenario are you facing?

CD/DVDW not detected by system on Compaq Presario V2000

My CD/DVDW TS-L532R on my Compaq V2000 can't seem to be detected on my system. I used it recently without any problems but after I removed a i-phone programme something must have happened. I don't recall having a CD to install the hardware so I'm at a loss what to do.... I can't seem to get any help on the COMPAQ or HP website...

Hm, forgot that dmesg is case sensitive... Writing DVD in caps instead resulted in this:

I also looked through the dmesg output more carefully, and found these

A quick google search indicates that this whole thing is a known problem when connecting a SATA 3 gbit DVD-drive to a SATA 6 gbit port, which is probably exactly what I've done. I'll just have to switch some cables around.

Yesterday, I bought E440 with NVIDIA GT740M (as brochure informed), but i'm not sure that I got it. I've run DxDiag but it not appear instead of Intel HD. But, If I use CPU-Z the chipset is appear. My question is, how to check & ensure that the chipset already attached in my device?

IMac is not detecting external USB hard drive

I restored my iMac (mid 2011 - i5 quadcore - 1TB - 16gb Ram - Lion 10.7.3) and my Macbook Pro (2010 Core 2 - 8gb Ram - Lion 10.7.3) I have a 1TB Toshiba external portable USB 3.0 hard drive.
The drive connects and recognizes quickly and works without any issues on the MBP, on the iMac on the other hand it will not detect in system profile or disk utility. Occasionally when plugged in the drive will spin up and stay powered on, other times on plug in, the indicator light will flash quickly and power off. The drive is fairly new, lightly used, and I repeat has NO issues with the MBP. The iMac will read flash drives and USB devices without issue except for this external hard drive. Also when I restart if the external drive is plugged it it will hang until I remove it. Drive is partitioned 86gb in MS Dos with Master Boot Record profile, and the remaining space is partition 2 formated as Mac journaled.
I am up to date on all updates from apple, and at a complete loss as to what to do next.

What version of firmware are you running on the 802.11ac?

System Update 5 not detecting drivers for M92P (2988-A6U)

I've installed our corporate image (Windows 7 SP1 - 64bit) which has an older network driver installed. 11.12.36.0
The latest driver from Lenovo's web site is 11.15.16.0 which installs without a problem.
So i re-imaged again with the older driver 11.12.36.0 and figured that the easiest way to update the driver(s) would be to use System Update 5.
To my surprise when i ran system update it returns the following:
"No packages applicable to your system were found"
No i know i could just fix the image and install the driver during the image process but I want to use System Update.
Does anybody have a clue as to why System Update is not detecting the needed drivers?
Has anybody had any success with running System Update 5 on a Windows 7 sp1 64-bit machines?

Unfortunately right now it appears that the 11.15.16.0 version of that driver does not have TVSU support yet. Once the content team completes the process of creating and testing the package through TVSU, it will be published for customers. I'll try to find out where this one falls in the queue. You really have to mess with the resoluton, espescially the refresh rate, as it varies from projector to projector, monitor to monitor. Even within the same brand! Because so many manufacturers are trying so many different things to become the next cool kid on the block, and the way the formats are being configured that's now part of the game.
That's why so many professionally produced corporate shows hire a dedicated projectionist for the video presentations. Too many bugs in the honey.
Refresh & sesolution are the first things to look at.
Just so you know that colors in PowerPoint PC, and PowerPoint Mac, don't exactly match... go figure.
I forgot to mention another thing, sometimes it's the projector that needs to be tweaked.

I have had the exact same issue but with a projector.
The issue lies with Mountian Lion 10.8.2.
I tried many a combination with no luck to get HDMI working.
Took my mac into the apple store and came to the conclusion it was the software, so I asked them to install 10.8 onto it (this is destructive so a backup is a must)
Bought my macbook home and voila, now displaying through my projector.
There is a small graphics update after 10.8.1 which seems to be the cause.

Imac does not detect external vga display

Please help with connecting external vga display to an imac 21.5'', late 2012, OS X 10.8.5 via Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter.
I have connected an external monitor (Fujitsu Siemens) to the thunderbolt port of the imac using a Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter. The imac does not detect the external monitor. I have followed all instructions and suggestions I could find at Apple Support Communities without success.
The monitor is in perfectly good working order as it has no problem connecting and performing flawlessly with a dell windows laptop. The imac, connected via the Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter to the D-Sub connector of a Samsung smart TV, also worked perfectly.
To add insult to injury, occasionally, when restarting the iMac with the external vga display connected and powered on, the iMac screen starts intermittently turning blue for a brief second or so and resuming back to normal. The frequency of 'blueing' is once in 2-3 seconds. This particular rather disturbing problem, luckily ceases when the external display is switched off.
Any advice and help with resolving the above connection problems will be gratefully appreciated.

Reciever not detected -- Nano+Nike System Failure

I'm on my 3rd Nike+ system. After approximately 20+ miles of running, my nano would no longer can detect the reciever. It would 'stop' the workout mid-way through and after that, the nano will not detect the reciever. I've replaced the sensor twice (and nano twice) and now the sensor went bad again.
I've had very bad reliability with this Nano+Nike system. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Took my kit and nano back to the shoe store. Exchanged the kit, plugged it into the nano and everything worked perfect.
