VGA output problem and catalyst control start up link

I do not know whether the problems are linked or whether I have made things worse. It started with an error message on start uo saying that there was a problem with Catalyst Control failing to start. It still alowed me to run normally until, in front of an audience, the VGA o/p link to a projector did not work. I had a spare cable which did not remedy the situation so my class sat around the laptop.
Another symptom is that the HDMI output does not work. I do not ko wif this is a separate issue.
With the notion that this was linked I set about attemping to delete and reinstall AMD drivers and blindly assumed this was where I would get the Cat Control update.
I used AMD's compatability checker and installed for display adapter AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250. The driver version is 8.770.2.1000 dated 19/09/2010
I cannot duplicate the display or use projector only however when I attach an external monitor the laptop changes resolution as if to accommodate the additional display.
I either need help to verify the applicability of the changes that I have made or I need help to plan a way out of the mess that I have made.

I have read your post on how the Catalyst Control Center program is not working very well on your computer, and that you are not able to view your display on your HDMI connected monitor. I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To ensure that your graphics drivers are working correctly, I recommend installing the original software and hardware drivers that first came with your notebook. This can be done by following this document on Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 7). Once installed, please follow this resource on Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 7) to update the drivers on your system.
If you are able to successfully use the Catalyst Control Center again, the next step is to re-connect the monitor to your computer using an HDMI cable. To do this, please follow the steps in this document on Troubleshooting HDMI display and sound issues.

I just run the Windows 7 Upgrade
advisor report and it said that I should uninstall the ATI Catalyst Install Manager and Catalyst Control Center then reinstall after upgrade..

You must not do this. Just continue upgrade installation.
On my Satellite I got the same message but I have simply continued with upgrade.
At the end everything went fine.

Load MMDriver and Catalyst Control has stopped Working

I have an Notebook Pavilion dv7 -6c00
Two days ago I Installed Adobe Premiere, and when I try to run it i get a error message that says somethink like they can't find a video module, I google it, and some people says that I have just to update my Graphics card driver. So I go to AMD page, and download the last catalyst control..
Since then I can't open firefox, Games, and other thinks because Load MMdriver crash and when I try to open Catalyst control it's the same.
I try:
- To install de original drivers with the Recovery manager. (nothing happen)
- Uninstall the catalyst control... was the same...
- To Restore the system with Windows Restore point... and then I get a error and it delete my point of restore, and don't solve the problem eather...

They recommend to install that drivers in that order, I already download the driver for my specific model... but I'm worry about that "update" will crash another things.... Which is the solution to this problem?

My OS is Windows 7 (64 bits). Sorry I forgot to put it in the message.
I did not explaing mysell correctly. I did not the Recovery System from the partition yet, I just did the System Restore from a Restore's point. (EDICTION: more exactly, The AMD Driver from AMD web pages, also install the Microsoft Visuall C++ 2000, and maybe it was my biggest mistake, to choose it like the point to restore, and not before it... from that point it start the problems, when The restore finished it's said something like: "There was a error, and the restore couldn't complet... but it's indeed restore, but it erased the rest of restore points. I also have to add that It wasn't the first time that I restore, I mean, I install one driver from AMD and like I doesn't let me to run Adobe premiere, I restore to another point, and try another Actualization of Catalyst control manager, and it's in that moment, when it eather solve the problem, when I restore to the point when Visual c++ 2000 was installed, an all my nightmare begins)..
When I mention the Recovery I was talking about HP Recovery Manager, it let me reinstall the original drivers without the reformat/recovery the laptop. I used it to reinstal the original AMD Driver... but it doesn't solve the problem.
I did not the recovery because I would prefer not to have to reinstall all my programs. (But it's the ultimate solution XD).
I figure out that maybe the problem is in the Intel's Graphics Driver, (I didn't mention it, but my laptop has switchable Graphics, I think that's how it's called XD). I think that's the problem because when I used the HP Recovery Manager to reinstall my Intel's Graphics Driver I get this Error:

Also I can open the programs that I mention just when I go to Divice Manager and Disable or Unistall that Intell Graphics Drive (but it reinstall automatic when I: "Right click > scan for driver changes"). I can't find it in the "Add or Remove Programs" so I can't unistall the driver to prove with the HP Recovery Manager.

PD: When i have the intel driver Active, I get the message: " --Programs-- has stopped working" The --programs-- can be: Catalyst control, Skyrim (game), the HP Recovery Manager It's self, Firefox, and any thing that could use the graphics card (I don't get it why it happened with the HP Recovery Manager app that I shows in the picture... but it happened, i have to Disable the driver to get printscreen....

Envy h8-1409 Desktop-Problem Installing Catalyst Control Center on Wiindows 7 for Radeon HD 7570

I just purchased an HP Envy h8-1409 desktop. It came with Windows 8 but I downgraded to Windows 7 due to my unfamiliarity with the new Windows 8.
Officially, HP only provides Windows 8 drivers for this particular model I bought. However, I was able to find another HP desktop model (h8-1360t) that has almost the same hardware that has Windows 7 drivers. I downloaded all the Windows 7 drivers and was able to install properly for everything except for the Graphics Card (Radeon HD 7570). There was an error message during the start of the installation complaining that the driver was unable to find supported hardware on my machine. I ended up using "Windows Update" to get the driver for the Radeon HD 7570.
Having installed the Radeon HD 7570 driver only allows Windows to recognize my graphics card but I was unable to adjust any advanced settings. So I went to AMD's website to get the latest Catalyst Control Center package. During the installation, no error was found and everything seemed alright. However after the installation is complete, I was unable to see Catalyst Control Center anywhere on my computer (e.g. Start menu, right-click menu, etc). Also, when I checked the "ATI Technologies" folder, it was empty!
I also tried using AMD's auto detect agent but my graphics card was not even recognized.
I am running out of ideas on how I can get Catalyst Control Center installed. Please help!

I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue.

Triggering 6602 output change and ai input start together

What is the best solution to start a analog input and pulse output synchronized. The analog input is on one board while the pulse output will be from another. I am trying to do this with VB6 using components works 6.0.

Do you have the PCI-6602 and the analog input device connected via a RTSI cable? If so, I would suggest that you configure the triggered pulse train operation to trigger off of one of the RTSI lines. Additionally, you should use the RouteIOSignal method of the CWDAQTools ComponentWorks control to route the analog input device's analog input start trigger (cwrssAIStartTrigger) to this RTSI line. Finally, you should start the pulse train operation before you start the analog input operation. When the analog input operation starts, it will send a start trigger to the pulse train operation.

Random music pausing and voice control starting

when i am listening music in my itunes (ipod 4) it is paused and continue randomly.suddenly voice over system is starting.i updated software.how can i solve the problem ?

I think the other responder may be on to something. The Voice Control Prompt will come up if you press & hold the play/pause button on the Apple headset (or any compatible headset). If you are sweating a significant amount, it is possible that is getting into the control n the headset (or on the iPod itself) causing it to short out that button connection. If you have access to just a standard headphones (without that third connector on the plug) you could try those, or possibly even a stereo bluetooth headset removing the wires from the picture all together.

Upgraded to 6.0.2, now get "Firefox had a problem and crashed". Starting in Safe Mode does not help. Now what?

Not sure what version I was running, but it worked fine but I have not been able to get it running again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with the same results. Have followed the help pages to the point of obtaining the Crash Report... now what?
I did notice the CR seems to think I am running Windows XP but I am actually running Windows 7 (64 bit).

Unfortunately that is not really getting anywhere yet, you could become the first person to file a bug about that particular crash, but that takes a bit of time and testing.
There is a known problem causing firefox 6 to crash and that is the use of IDvault, that can give more than one crash signature, the software developers regarding ID vault are WhiteSky, and are expecting to release a fix in a few days (if they have not already done so)
Have you tried
* using firefox's [[safe mode]]
* disabling all plugins
Does that help, either by preventing crashes or giving another recognised crash signature. You should also ensure all software is up to date, before trying adding extension software back.
The other common cause of crashes is malware, that includes a particular Trojan that is now known to crash Firefox 6. Check out [[is my firefox problem a result of malware]] you will need to do scans using software or sites with up-to-date scanning software, if you do scan for problems say what sites or software you used and the version of software used. Downgrading firefox versions rarely helps with crashes, it may help with the one specific trojan, but the security risks would then remain, potentially causing even more problems because the browser no longer crashes.

I can open Firefox v4.0b4 no problem, and I can bring up links that are on the google page and pages that are bookmarked, but when I enter a web address in the address bar and either hit "enter" or click on the blue arrow nothing happens.

I have an Apple Powerbook G4 with Mac OS X v10.5.8. I downloaded the new Firefox to replace an older version (v2.0, I think). When I try to go to websites via the address bar, I don't get any errors and nothing appears to be loading.

Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

Powering up phone problem and it only shows iTunes link.

Powered off my iPhone 4S three hours ago. Went to turn it back on and when I pushed the power button the Apple icon came on the screen, and I noticed it stayed on longer than normal. I tried to swipe to unlock the phone - no luck.. Pushed circle button and I get a picture of the cable that connects to the computer for iTunes with an ^ up arrow and the iTunes logo. Can not unlock the phone. Will not do anything when the circle is pressed once or twice in close secession. Purchased phone on December 19, 2012 from Verizon store and it's brand new. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds, or resetting it using the reset option under general. You should also try restarting your router.

7850 CrossFireX - Catalyst Control Center - Disable CrossFireX

Hello, I have MSI 7850 CrossFireX. I was playing Skyrim and notice micro-stutter so I went into Catalyst Control Center and disabled CrossFireX.
The problem is that Skyrim will not load. It always crashes when I start the game. I re-enabled CrossFireX and it will load fine.
I was wondering whether this is a known issue. Maybe I have to physically remove the connector to get it to work (I haven't tried that. I just wanted to see how it would do with one card). I don't know if this is a problem with Catalyst Control Center, the driver, Skyrim, Steam or what.
Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

Catalyst Control Center: Host Application has stopped working (Error)

Hi, I have anHP Envy 14-1110nr Notebook PC, with Windows 7 64-bit, and Catalyst Control Center (To configure switchable graphics) doesn't work. I believe to be stuck on my low performance GPU,and can't switch. I cannot load anything to do with my switchable graphics, and am at a loss for what to do (I'm a very inexperienced computer user). I have browsed other forums related to this but am scared that I'll destroy my computer by downloading the wrong thing. This all started after I got a virus that caused me to need to reset my computer from an earlier stage, please help.

Hi,
Have you checked in the Device Manager to see if all drivers are installed since upgrading? (look for yellow exclamation points)
Uninstall the AMD driver and catalyst control center. Install the version located in the download section of the web support portal for your sleekbook.It will install both driver (intel and AMD) and also switchable graphics capability if it previously existed.
