This what I get trying to download Instrument Drivers in LabVIEW 8.2. LabVIEW 8.6 doesn't succeed either. any ideas?

Could just be an intermittent server problem. Does this happen all the time? At what point does it fail? When you first launch it, after you login? The network traffic indicates that it uses port 3339. Is this being blocked by your firewall?

Hi. I am having problems with a VI that was initially developed for LABView 6i. I have upgraded to LABView 8.2 but whenever I run the program in LABView 8.2 I get the error message that my VI was stopped at node " " at a call to "In Port Old 6.x.vi". The VI generally aquires data from a measurement instrument via an RS232 COM port.
I have searched the forum and the only reference to this problem mentioned that it can be solved by making "minor modifications" to the polymorphic In Port VI in LABView 8.2 but I have no idea how to do this.
I would be most grateful if anyone can help me to do this. I am a newbie to LABView programming so I would require as much detail as possible. Thanks.

To update to the new one, simply right-click on your existing Port IO vi and select replace as shown in the image below.
So Replace > Port I/O Palette > select appropriate port IO vi.
I suspect the minor modification refers to selecting the appropriate port configuration (if you're using LV8.x). See 2nd image below.

Are you running your code
...in the development system?
...as a standalone application?
...deployed to an embedded target?
If it is a built application, do you explicitly include dynamically called VIs in the build specification?
Who wrote the program? Do you have access to the code?
How is this VI called? Is there sufficient error handling?
Do you manipulate paths as strings or as proper path datatypes with the strip path/build path primitives etc.?
Is it running on the same OS used to develop it ...

I receive this message frequently but not regularly when running a VI working with appr. 20 images. All these images are created as the first step in the main loop and disposed with "IMAQ Dispose", parameter "dispose all" set to true, at the end of the loop. Is there a way to know what exactly makes "IMAQ Dispose" hang?

This is not much to go on to find a reason why it would hang.
First make sure you are running the latest version of NI-IMAQ 2.5.5
Saecond pare down the code to the smallest amount which will reproduce the issue. If this does not make the solution obvious post the code and I'll take a look at what's happening.

Sounds very relevant.
Do you have access to another computer with Numbers installed?
If so, do your files open properly on that computer?
If so, then the problem is your computer itself, which is best posted in a different forum.

Thanks for your inputs.. Do you have any idea behind this error, why does the client & doe messages go out of sync. And what can be done as a precautionary measure to avoid it..
Do you want me to try "Recover the device", or to reinitialise it ??
Because if I reinitialise the device then the user will not be able to sync again with same device & i will have to un-install & re-install the client & sync again...and this will create problems in production system.
I also tried to recover the device; it doesnt work this way.
Pls guide me...

Notes on phase DDIC_ACTIVATION
In this phase the imported Dictionary objects are activated. This phase

o   TP_STEP_FAILURE: The tp step DDIC activation could not be performed

I have used se11 to avtive the domain SEFS_CRAWL_ALGORITHM , but the error still exist.

I have just installed Information platform services 4.1 sp2 on a windows server 2008 R2 standard service pack 1. having 8 GB RAM.
Central Configuration manager is in Running status but when I try to login to Cental management Console then I get following error

I have CMS and AUDIT database on Oracle server and they are getting connected from my machine through SQL developer and the tables are also created under CMS and audit databases.

Hi Ankur,
As per the error message you entered the issue might occur because the Oracle CMS database reside in a different network or there is a network delay between BO server and database server. Please refer KBA 1706849 and try following steps.
Confirm that the CMS database and BO server are in same network
Try to ping database server from BO server and check the reply. The reply should come in 1 ms
Confirm with DBA whether there are 14 connections established to CMS database
Stop the SIA and restart your database schema. Then start the SIA and try login
Please let us know error messages in Event viewer if this is a Windows server and also is this a clustered environment ?

Well the most common way is to enclude the vi's in the build spec either directly in the dependancies that the App builder automatically generates OR by declaring them in the build spec as "additional enclusions" (like you must do for dynamic vi calls in your app.
I have heard rummors about My.app Stuff.vi in a nugget Intaris posted- and I've wanted to dig deaper into Intaris' claims- but have not tried it myself.

The CMS on machine ' servername ' was stopped due to a critical error. (FWM 20031)

Dear Team,
We have installed BOBJ server 4.1 and CMC was working fine.
Now while installing the BOBJ explorer SBOP_EXPLORER_4.1_SP2_MULTIOS__DL it showed at the end of the installation as ended with error.
After this when we tried to login to CMC we are getting the error as The CMS on machine '<servername>' was stopped due to a critical error. (FWM 20031).
I have attached the "error_boe_cmsd6400" log file with this.
We are unable to find the cause of the error.
The output of the command
./ccm.sh -display -cms <servername> is as follows,

Logging onto CMS...
err: Error: Could not log on to CMS (STU00152)
err: Error description: The system <servername> can be contacted, but there is no Central Management Server running at port 6400.
Kindly help on resolving this issue.

You mention you installed BI 4.1 and Explorer 4.1 SP02
- Did you try to remove Explorer 4.1 SP02 and go with the same patch level as BI 4.1 instead?
- Or better, did you try to update BI 4.1 to higher version (SP02) and then do Explorer at same level?
Does /var/log/admin (for AIX) shows anything of interest (CMS instability)?
After you aligned the versions and if the problem is still occuring, you will probably need to log an incident with support, this kind of problems can be pretty straight forward to resolve but also require a fair amount of data gathering (survey script, OS + env, CMS trace, stacks from cores if CMS crash)
Also: where did you get the information attached extracted from?
Seems some libraries might not be compatible. Try to source env.sh:
