I have a problem one sis VGA 32mb agp(s-305) she does not work with ms-6712 mbo it wont even start with the card in the slot?
What is the problem could it be voltage? i upgraded to newest bios so that bios can't be the problem.
Help if you can!!!

What error message is it exactly?
Make sure that the chipset driver and SP2 is installed at least.
I had a similar issue that I cant install the display driver. The error message was something like the hardware is not supported
But it was very easy to solve this problem. I installed the driver via device manager. I have selected the graphic card and choose update driver. Then I did choose the advanced installation to choose the directory by myself.
Anyway, after restart the driver was installed and it worked. :)

both xp and windows 7 have video problems with my VGA connection using TV as my monitor when it gets to starting up windows no matter what version it will not I have let my mac on all night and still says starting windows or the windows 7 logo and nothing else will happen also when I use a 3rd patty software like peraills or other it works like a charm how to fix it?

To map the drive on your computer click on Start - RUN - type "\\192.168.1.1" and click ok... When prompted for Username and Password type "admin" and click ok... Now you will be able to see the folder which you have shared on your router, right click on it and select "Map network drive" and click on finish.
Now it will map the drive on your computer and you should be able to transfer the file from your computer to the USB drive.

Problems with my VGA

I have taken the MX440 AGP out and replaced it with an ATI radeon7000 PCI.I have enabled the VGA adapter in the start up menu and installed it with little difficulty. however, when I go to use the television feature the monitor goes blank and the computer restarts. Sometimes it does this without trying to use any of the features. I have downloaded so many drivers that my head is spinning and none of the new drivers do anything to help the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update to a newer BIOS I think it was BIOS 1.2 that said something about VGA changes. Well I haven't tried a PCI card on my system, but try setting the Priority Option that is that BIOS. Default is set to AGP/PCI. Set it to PCI/AGP and also check if there is enough air flow. What you say sounds like an overheating problem. Oh I did have a similar problem with my Radeon 9800 Pro when I put alot of stress (playing games and stuff) it wuold crash. Check your RAM, make sure if it has to be in Dual Mode that it is set in dual mode. That fixed 80% of my instability errors. Dual Mode is DIMM 1&3, DIMM 2&4, or DIMM 1,2,3,& 4.

[VIA] Problems with my 6200 OC installed in a KM400 mb

About 3 weeks ago I bought a BFG 6200 OC, I have installed the video on my computer, then I test the video with game like: Doom 3 and Painkiller(OpenGl games) and card worked perfect but when I tried to play games that use DirectX 8.0 or upper the only things that appeared on the screen were lines and some corrupted textures, I have dowload all nvidia possible driver but with no positive result, then some people told me that my mainboard (KM400) have some problems with some graphics cards, I update the bios, and via drivers using the live updates but I still have the problem. (I test the video card into another machine, a pcchip based board, and it works perfect).

I have a AMD Athlon XP 2200, MSI KM4M using VIA KM400 chipset, BFG 6200 OC 256mb AGP, 2 x 256 DDR266 MARKVISION , 40GB SEAGATE 7200 RPM ATA133 IDE HDD, samsung dvd/rw combo, benq 56x cd, CASE ATX SP 350 WTS POWER SUPPLY, CREATIVE SOUND BLASTER 128 PCI, I tried with all kind of nvidia drivers, I update all my machine drivers, but the problems keep, Im still reading that the km400 chip has sevral problems with some hardware, I tried with all bios configuration agp 4x, 8x, opening memory size 64, 128, 256, I test the video card with the dxdiag and works perfect with the dierectx 3d interface 7, but show the problems using interface 8 and 9, insteand of show a cube, the thing that appear on the screen looks like a pyramid with only half texture on 1 side.

There is a Weard Problem with MY VGA CARD

I got Geforce 4 TI 4600 , before Week I installed a New RAM 512 when am home with my PC i Tryed a game To play (for example. Vice City) when the game started The Screen Was Shuting off, On ,off & My display flickers And fade into Black Screen ! I Tryed many thing like (Uninstall the New RAM and Play with the old one , Format My PC & Reinstall WINDOWS , Update the display Drivers , Check that All The Refresh rates are good , I checked the DirectX Test it was all (*No Problem) with Succesful Tests , My only Idea was to go for Any Service shop ... Theres not much to go on, such as your computer, hardware, monitor etc.. I will ask several questions that may give you a hint... What is your video resolution and color depth and refresh rate..Is it beyond you monitor specs?What video drivers are you using? Look in the device manager to see if there are any conflicts, if so that may give a hint..Make sure you BIOS is set for your video card such as the correct AGP settings..Will your MoBo accept your AGP for the video card?My guess it's in the video area and not your system memory..

I have a problem with my VGA output.

I bought a VGA adaptor, plugged it into my ipad (3rd gen running iOS 6) and used a VGA cable to connect my iPad to a TV with a VGA input. I get no image, no mirroring, no slideshows (using keynote) nothing. I have tried looking around but can only find information relating to iPad 2 and older versions of the operating system. Any tips before I declare my VGA adaptor as a possible faulty buy?
I have tried:
1. Turning off my iPad and then plugging the VGA adaptor into the bottom of the iPad. The iPad automatically turned on but still nothing.
2. Turning off and on.
3. Looking through the settings but there is nothing to see.
4. Messing about with the settings on the TV
5. shouting!
6. it does not seem to matter which apps i use. However, interestingly..... When the VGA adaptor was plugged into the iPad, I used keynotes and pressed the play button, it went into presentation mode like you would expect when using an external monitor but, no picture on the TV.

It turns out that it was the AVG adaptor that was faulty. Now I have replaced it the iPad popped up on the monitor right away.

[VIA] Problem with a KT4V MB.

I ahve a problem, I linked two computers in a network and whenver I try to copy something to and from the KT4V Computer it restarts itself. Also the computer reboots randomly in Windows or at windows xp startup screen (5 sec after starting comp).
What should I do ? Can it be a MB problem ? what can It be?
The computer is:
MB: KT4V
CPU: AMD 2000+ Mhz
RAM: 1x 128 DDRAM PC 2100 PQI and 1x 128 DDRAM PC 2700 Samsung
HDD: 40GB Western Digital
Video: FX5200 nVidia
ATX Source 400W: with +12 18A / +5 32A / +3.3 25A

Download this prgram and use it to test the memory.
http://www.memtest.org/download/1.55.1/memtest86+-1.55.1.floppy.zip
Extract all files to a folder first then run the install.bat and it will create a memtest bootdisk.
Again using 1 stick at a time run the program for at least 1 hour.
Any errors means that there is a problem with the memory/power.
Should everything be ok then try clearing the CMOS using the Jbat jumper.
Also the CPU should be running at 1.667Ghz (133x12.5).

I would like to ask you how to connect this X1 with VGA projector as well.
actually, X1 has a external interface specification as mini displayport 1.1a.
So I bought mini displayport to VGA adapter from MAC store.
(Actually, Lenovo Korea office doesn’t sell this adapter directly on Korea, even in the future.)
and try to connect both of LED monitor and beam projector.
LED monitor was worked as well. but, this adaptor doesn't work with VGA projector. TT
Please help me how to work this adaptor with projector as well.

Hi everybody. I was having the same issue here, but I bought a Mac minidisplayport to VGA adapter. It worked on my Monitor but it was not working on my clients VGA beam projectors. But today I figured out a way to make it work, and it is pretty easy; just change your laptop screen resolution.
When you connect the mini Dport to VGA adapter to the projector VGA receiver cable, just change your laptop screen resolution to 1024x768 (maximum) and the projector will receive the signal with no problem.
This is the best solution that I found, because is easy to find a Mac/Apple Mini display Port to VGA adapter.

ITunes visualizer problem with RGB (VGA) connection to plasma tv

when i use my vga connection on my laptop to my plasma tv and use itunes, for some reason i cannot get the visualizer to work. it just goes black for a split second and then just back to itunes screen. any idea why that would be? the visualizer works fine when not connected via VGA.

Well I guess I won't get an answer here, can anyone tell me who/where to find out what the problem is? Thanks!

I installed WinXP+SP1 and VIA4in1 v4.55 with NVIDIA 66.93 drivers. The screen fades out and in less than a second the picture shows up again.
Note: What should appear in device manager in section "System devices" after installing VIA4in1 v4.55?
I tried: changing video card, RAM memory, installing WinXP+SP2 (worse results!)

The system reports no errors nor conflicts in Device Manager window. This problem appeared when I did an upgrade from WinXP SP1 to SP2. I use Fedora Core on the same computer with NVIDIA drivers installed and there were no problems. I tried to change the monitor but it was the same. I think I managed to solve the problem by installing WinXP SP1 and an older NVIDIA driver (version 4.5.2.3) and VIA 4in1 pack 4.55. Everything runs smooth for now.

Problems with Acer VGA/RJ45 adapter

Hi All, I am new to this community. I have had an Acer Asire V5-571P for a year or so now and am frustrated by the internet connection port. The laptop came with an adaptor which has a VGA and a Cat5 connector. This has worked fine for most of the time I have had the laptop, but recently it started to work intemittently, so I bought a new one - an acer product, and that too has failed, leaving me just with WiFi. WiFi is fine, but by no means as good as wired. Are Acer providing replacements free of charge for these failed adapters. To be honest its a really very poor design - there is too much weight onthe cable and I suspect that this has caused the internal widers to break. This shoudl have been a rigid piece of kit and not as it is designed.Not at all happy with this feature on the laptop.Any thoughts/advice before I go direct to Acer on this issue?CheersPer

Honestly? i would contact Acer support service, 2 adapters broken is not a standard behaviour.

[VIA] Problem with Creative X-FI on KT6 Delta FI2SR

I have a KT6 Delta FI2SR with 1GB PC3200 400MHz DDR, and an Athlon 3200XP+, running BIOS 5.7 (latest).
I recently bought and added a Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS soundcard, and I have an issue....
The card was installed, is on IRQ19 (no conflicts anywhere with sound), and on-board sound is disabled.
Randomly, on cold boot, I get told "NVRAM Update OK", and then I get NO SOUND!
It stays like that until I reboot and it "Updates" again, or I clear the NVRAM in BIOS.
LOTS of people on the Creative Forum have reported similar issues with ASUS Mobos, and nForce chipsets, but this is an MSI with VIA!
ALL (and I do mean ALL) device drivers are up to date....
Can someone @ MSI look into this? ASUS have resolved their issue with BIOS updates, but nothing for this board for a while!
I've tried mailing MSI support BUT [email protected] AND [email protected] get SMTP failures (no known username).

Problems with .sis files!!

I`ve got a nokia N70 and tried to transfer themes to my phone but then the phones says installation security error,unable to install.
can anyone out there please help me with this matter coz im trying to use .sis files but cant even transfer them on my phone and my bro got the same phone but he can transfer and use .sis files on his N70.

Go to Application Manager > Options > Settings and set "Online Certificate check" = OFF and Software Installation = ALL.
Secondly try resetting date on phone to January 1 2007 first and if that doesn't work try December 31 2006 as Symbian certificate may have expired; reset date after installation.
