Viber app on iphone 4s

Hi,
I have a question on the Viber App. I downloaded the 'Viber' app for the first time on my iphone 4s. It asked me if it can allow PUSH notifications and I selected "Don't allow" (instead of 'allow'). Then it went to the next screen 'welcome to viber' and had a CONTINUE button at the end. Here's the problem - An alert pops up when I hit continue "Notifications are OFF, you should enable push notifications. Press "settings" to enable and then press retry". But when I hit the 'Settings' button, it goes back to the 'welcome to viber' page (instead of settings) and I'm stuck.
I tried restarting the phone, deleting and reinstalling the app several times. But I'm still stuck at the same point. Can anyone suggest what I should do now?

Push notification (for iPhone) allows Viber to notify you of any calls (incoming, missed, etc.) even when Viber is off or in the background. It will also notify you of friends that just joined Viber. When setting Viber up in your iPhone, and you get a message requesting push notifications, tap on ‘OK’ to enable the feature. This feature belongs to the Apple network and is not correctable, nor adjustable by us. We rely, as you do, completely on Apple for the accuracy and reliability of these notifications.
Please note that when Viber is off, it is fully dependent on iPhone’s push notification feature. Since Viber is an external iPhone application, we can only fully control Viber features, just like other external applications. Therefore, if your push notification feature is not functioning accurately (sometimes as a result of carrier-side settings), it will affect Viber’s incoming call. This can cause a delay in receiving incoming Viber calls or only show your missed calls.
For iPhone 3GS and 4 users, simply leave Viber open in the background to avoid this issue.

Viber isn't an Apple product. You need to get support for this app from the Viber developers. You can find their developer contact info in the App Store listing

Please try to uninstall>reinstall Viber, make sure you have the latest version available (2.3)
Viber requires all Push Notification settings to be enabled. Otherwise, it will show the error message requesting to do so. In addition, another possible cause for this problem might be the fact that your iPhone is jailbroken/hacktivated, and that interferes with Push Notifications in your iPhone. I have downloaded Viber to my iPhone 4s, it was previously working but now displays a message saying i need to connect to the internet before i can make a call or anything else, My phone is connected but the app does not seem to recognise this?

I have downloaded Viber to my iphone 4S, it was previously working, but as of today it has continually asked for an internet connection when i try to make a call or send a message. It displays this message while connected to the internet at my home, or with 3g. my internet connections seems to work fine on other apps that require this. I have tried to reinstall viber but i can not not setup my profile becauase the same message displays. does anyone know how i can resolve this?

OK, let's try again. Wind is NOT a supported carrier. In order to use tethering, it must be supported and activated by your carrier for the iPhone. This usually involves an additional fee. You will have to ask your carrier if they can enable it. Odds are, since they are not a supported carrier, they can not. If you want to use tethering, you will most likely have to switch to a supported carrier that offers this feature on the iPhone.

I still have an old 3G which I use mostly as a ipod/radio. By accident I found you can overide the i-tunes block.
1. Select Apps in Apps store icon on the phone.
2. Choose App to download
3. At "Instal" button press it QUICKLY in blocks of 3 presses, keep doing this until it overides the i-tune warning, then if there were legacy versions for os 4.2.1 it says something like "this app is for os 5 or above", but gives you a choice to download an older version. Select this.
Sometimes it says the Apps is for newer hardware, requiring motion sensors, front camera's etc.. just got to accept these ones don't work on legacy hardware.
4. Download does not work for all Apps, esp. newer ones written after os 4.21 or if the developer doesn't have the vintage apps archived- e.g. Instagram downloads, but won't run (wants to update), or WSJ and Barrons stalls and goes through a download loop.
I am not making this up, as I bought this old 3g unit on e-bay, after a complete factory reset I now have:
- Tune-in, FB, Pandora,Skype, Twitter, Bloomberg, MSNBC, Forbes, Marketwatch, Viber, amongst a host of other news apps like LATimes.
Some Apps will download ok, and then at activation says its too old and no longer supported e.g Whats App.
Otherwise, good luck. Tune-in, Pandora, Skype and Twitter is all I need to keep me happy with an old unit, even though I've got newer hardware. Never let anything die unnaturally.

When I try to open viber app on ipad1 it shuts down right away

Whenever I try to open the viber app on my iphone 1 it shuts down right away I just get a white starting screen and then shutdown I tried to remove it and download it back I even reset my whole Ipad but still doesnt work!

downloaded viber app on 3g but was slow and said "waiting' this was days ago...then downloaded on wifi and the app is now in my itunes...when I sync my iphone 4 however it does not change the "waiting"app on the phone...I cannot remove it from my iphone even if I sync without the app selected in itunes and it will not delete from the iphone4. all other apps can be deleted but not the viber app that is still "waiting" on my phone...most frustrating as this app is excellent

We would like to deliver a message from our company to all our users:
Recently there have been some complaints about Viber calls that don't get through, or over-consumption of battery. We have realized that many users choose to completely shut Viber off when they don't call (relying on Push Notifications for receiving calls).
But this solution actually causes the reverse effect - it disrupts incoming calls, and it wastes battery life, trying to activate the Push Notification mechanism each time a call is received.
For those of you with iPhone 3Gs and up (with "Multitasking") - we advise all our users to keep their Viber running in the background, thus saving battery life and hopefully fixing the "Missed Call" bug.

Viber app not working after updating software

Viber app is not working on my iPhone 4 after I updated the software on my phone. I deleted the app and reinstall the same app and the problem was there as before. Viber is not recognizing my phone number. When I enter my phone number, a message pops up saying invalid number. Can I get some assistance to rectify this problem ASAP.

Could be a problem with the App and that it may not support IOS 7.1.1 yet and need updating.

You would have to create the ringtones.
Google will find several way to do this.
You cannot buy ready made ringtones from your computer.

Printer control app for iphone

is it possible to roll back to a previous version of the Printer Control app for iphone? I recently and stupidly updated the HP Printer Control app when offered through itunes on October 30 and have lost all the functionality I previously had to print directly from my iphone to my photosmart 7520. Previously I could print whatever pages I chose from Safari and could change the print settings for either draft or normal, colour / black & white before printing. Now when I try to print a page, you don't get the option to just print page 1 and it wastes ink. If I open a pdf (all I've tried so far) document within this new AiO Remote app - even though my printer is listed and supposedly set up - I can't print at all! I desperately want to ditch this abysmal update and go back to the version that worked perfectly. I have conctacted Apple and they were unable to help as it's a third party app and referred me back to HP. Does anyone know how to do this?

I have a few recommendations for this issue you describe. First if you havent already, restart the phone.

If the issue persists after that, then I suggest toggling the Location Services off and then back on in settings outlined here:
Turning Location Services on or off
You can turn Location Services on or off at Settings > Privacy > Location Services. You can turn Location Services on either during the Setup Assistant process or later through the Location Services setting. You can turn it off if you don't want to use this feature or to conserve battery life. You can individually control which applications and system services have access to Location Services data.

One day I tried to dictate a note and discovered the microphone was grayed out. As someone suggested I did a hard reset of my iPhone 4S and that didn't solve the problem.
Then I had an epiphany. I use the Notes app a lot and have a lot of Notes stored in the app. I tried deleting some of my many notes and "viola!" the microphone is black again. My guess is the app has some kind of storage limit and when you hit that limit, the microphone is automatically turned off. Anyway, that's my theory and I'm sticking to it.
