downloaded viber app on 3g but was slow and said "waiting' this was days ago...then downloaded on wifi and the app is now in my itunes...when I sync my iphone 4 however it does not change the "waiting"app on the phone...I cannot remove it from my iphone even if I sync without the app selected in itunes and it will not delete from the iphone4. all other apps can be deleted but not the viber app that is still "waiting" on my phone...most frustrating as this app is excellent

We would like to deliver a message from our company to all our users:
Recently there have been some complaints about Viber calls that don't get through, or over-consumption of battery. We have realized that many users choose to completely shut Viber off when they don't call (relying on Push Notifications for receiving calls).
But this solution actually causes the reverse effect - it disrupts incoming calls, and it wastes battery life, trying to activate the Push Notification mechanism each time a call is received.
For those of you with iPhone 3Gs and up (with "Multitasking") - we advise all our users to keep their Viber running in the background, thus saving battery life and hopefully fixing the "Missed Call" bug.

OK, let's try again. Wind is NOT a supported carrier. In order to use tethering, it must be supported and activated by your carrier for the iPhone. This usually involves an additional fee. You will have to ask your carrier if they can enable it. Odds are, since they are not a supported carrier, they can not. If you want to use tethering, you will most likely have to switch to a supported carrier that offers this feature on the iPhone.

Viber app on iphone 4s

Hi,
I have a question on the Viber App. I downloaded the 'Viber' app for the first time on my iphone 4s. It asked me if it can allow PUSH notifications and I selected "Don't allow" (instead of 'allow'). Then it went to the next screen 'welcome to viber' and had a CONTINUE button at the end. Here's the problem - An alert pops up when I hit continue "Notifications are OFF, you should enable push notifications. Press "settings" to enable and then press retry". But when I hit the 'Settings' button, it goes back to the 'welcome to viber' page (instead of settings) and I'm stuck.
I tried restarting the phone, deleting and reinstalling the app several times. But I'm still stuck at the same point. Can anyone suggest what I should do now?

Push notification (for iPhone) allows Viber to notify you of any calls (incoming, missed, etc.) even when Viber is off or in the background. It will also notify you of friends that just joined Viber. When setting Viber up in your iPhone, and you get a message requesting push notifications, tap on ‘OK’ to enable the feature. This feature belongs to the Apple network and is not correctable, nor adjustable by us. We rely, as you do, completely on Apple for the accuracy and reliability of these notifications.
Please note that when Viber is off, it is fully dependent on iPhone’s push notification feature. Since Viber is an external iPhone application, we can only fully control Viber features, just like other external applications. Therefore, if your push notification feature is not functioning accurately (sometimes as a result of carrier-side settings), it will affect Viber’s incoming call. This can cause a delay in receiving incoming Viber calls or only show your missed calls.
For iPhone 3GS and 4 users, simply leave Viber open in the background to avoid this issue.

Settings>General>Network>Roaming>Data Roaming>Off. If you really want to be absolutely certain, Settings>General>Network>Cellular Data>Off.

When I try to open viber app on ipad1 it shuts down right away

Whenever I try to open the viber app on my iphone 1 it shuts down right away I just get a white starting screen and then shutdown I tried to remove it and download it back I even reset my whole Ipad but still doesnt work!

Viber app for symbian

i recently installed viber on my nokia x7 running symbian belle os. But when i started it i came to know that it doesn't have a calling option unlike android and ios phones. This is utter disappointment for me and i think for many nokia users. I would like to know will there be any updation regarding viber app in the coming or i should uninstall it because it is of no use if it does not have a calling option. Please update regarding this.

I have Viber running on my Z10 running the older BBOS 10.2.x. I was able to find it through Blackberry World. I understand that 10.3.x is quite different and everything is found in different places, such as the Amazon app store with these things. That's just what I heard, but I have no personal experience with it, try to find it through that.

Are you saying that iTunes needs your credit card number to be able to download the app? If so you can give your credit card number to iTunes/Apple.
If you don't want to submit a credit card (number), here is how to download the app without a credit card.

Are you checking the correct App Store?
Launch in your Applications folder iTunes>Store>App Store - they are there for iOS, not Mac OS X.
Or log on to the store from your iOS device.

Viber app not working after updating software

Viber app is not working on my iPhone 4 after I updated the software on my phone. I deleted the app and reinstall the same app and the problem was there as before. Viber is not recognizing my phone number. When I enter my phone number, a message pops up saying invalid number. Can I get some assistance to rectify this problem ASAP.

Could be a problem with the App and that it may not support IOS 7.1.1 yet and need updating.

I just downloaded viber on my iphone 4s. It's working fine when i text and call through viber on other iphones. However, for someone using xperia, my viber status appear to be offline on their viber and they can't text or call me through viber on their xperia phone. Viber isn't an Apple product. You need to get support for this app from the Viber developers. You can find their developer contact info in the App Store listing

Can't turn off alerts in Viber app

I am using Viber (v. 2.2.2.86) on iOS 6 on my iPhone 5.
I am unable to turn off any of the notifications for Viber, not even sound alerts. If I disable any of the notifications for Viber (Badge App Icon, Sound Alerts or View in Lock Screen), Viber keeps prompting me until all of these have been turned back on, so I cannot use Viber with alerts turned off.
I do not need the sound alerts and it is quite irritating to get a sound alert for every single message received. Please make it optional to enable alerts.
Viber should leave it to its users to decide how they want to be alerted, and not try and be a nanny here.

Hi!You can stop your notification for each app,that is included in Notification centre from:Settings>Notifications>Calendar-Notification Center -OFF.I hope this will help you.

How to uninstall Viber app on MBA 10.9.4

I want to uninstall an app called Viber (a communication app). It was downloaded to my MBA but never activated. By that I mean it was not set up to use contacts and whatever else it was intended to do.
The developer website offers no clear advice about unistall.
There is no uninstall program that I can locate.
When I do a long hold on the app, it wiggles, but no "X" appears.
i am ready to do the "drag and drop to the trash", but have concerns about residual files (kext or otherwise).
Any advice is welcomed.
Incidentally, I prefer to NOT install and use some sort of apple cleaner software.

Yes. It is.
Other apps I have obtained from outside the apple store require me to install them. After, I can place the icon into the apps folder.
Usually, but not necessarily, programs that need to be installed have the box icon, and the installation process is automated.
