Vibrates on notifications after update

most of my apps are now vibrate during notifications since the update. I've searched through each of them doing it and there isn't even an option for vibrate so "disable vibrate" isn't a choice. I have disabled it for email txts. Any ideas? Verizon guys? I can not deal with this. It sounds dumb but it woke me up 6 times last night. I use my phone as my alarm clock. I can't just not keep it near my bed. Plus I don't need it sucking my battery dead every day.

Good morning. I am sorry to hear of the vibrate notifications you are now receiving after the software updates. I know that can definitely be a nuisance especially if you use your phone as an alarm clock. It would be my pleasure to assist in disabling the vibrate alerts.
After your phone did the software update, did you power off the phone and power back on? If not, please do so. Also, ensure the notification volume under settings is turned off. To do so, tap on settings>sound>volumes>notifications. Let me know if that turns off the vibrate notifications.
If the notifications you are receiving are from applications you downloaded from the google play store, then try this. Tap on Google Play store>Menu(at the top right)>settings>uncheck notifications. After trying these two steps and you are still receiving vibrate notifications, please reach out to us for further assistance. You may also contact our Technical Support Team at 1800-922-0204.

Ever since I got my iPhone 5 I do not receive app notifications. I restored from iCloud via wifi and everything is there and works just fine other than notifications. Banners, alerts, sounds, lock screen are all turned on. Only built in apps give me notifications.
What's worse, my phone still thinks it's restoring, and won't create a new iCloud backup. Any way to check on what information still hasn't been restored? Is it safe to stop the restore and finally back up to iCloud again?
Updating to the 5 hasn't been as glorious as I thought it'd be.

Try using Recovery Manager to reinstall the original sound driver ( probably IDT ) - the process for doing this is shown in the link below.

After the installation, restart the notebook.
If the above fails to help, run through the suggestions in This Document.

HT5704 Notification after update

I updated my iPad to ios 6.1.3 and received a notification on my iPhone. I unlocked my phone before reading the notification. Is there any way to see that notification again now? Or what did it even say? All I know is the first word was "ipad". Thanks

Information Broadcasting allows you to mail to one or many users so that should not be an issue.
IB would need to be setup to send a report based on a DataChange event. Normally a Data Change event would be triggered by a DataChange process in a Process Chain.
So I think you need to look at that mechanism - figure out how to trigger a DataChange event as part of your process that pushed to data to BW.

This definitely works and only takes a couple of minutes. There is no need for backing up or resetting your phone.

After updating to iOS 7 for my iPhone 5, my phone is now in constant vibrate mode.

After updating to iOS 7 for my iPhone 5 last week, my sounds went away. Phone is randomly showing the ringer silent graphic without me touching the phone or putting it into this mode. The volume settings under sounds are on, notifications are all correct also, the vibrate switch on the side is NOT in the vibrate position. After pouring over threads for the past week, one suggestion fixed it for a day, but it's now reverted back to vibrate only mode! I went to settings----general-----accessibility----under hearing switched mono audio off, like I said, fixed the problem for a day, but now that no longer works! It really seems to be a bug with the software update, which the the 7.0.3 did not fix. Help, would like my phone to work normally again. Suggestions?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like the iPhone is searchiong for a network. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. There are a few steps listed in this article you did not mention trying, they may be able to help the issue.

I tried with Firefox 4;5 and 6, same problem exist . I tried by active all add ons for facebook, same problem exist. If I use internet explorer , I don't find such problem with it.

As I've mentioned above, I was informed that updating to 5.0.1 would '''require''' me to '''delete''' the current version and then install the new one. And doing so will involve losing all my bookmarks. I guess I should have been more specific and detailed there. By losing, I didn't mean losing them forever. I'm aware that they're secured in some place and deleting and installing the software doesn't harm its existence. What I meant that if I install the new version, I'd have to delete the old one. And after installing the new version, I'd have to transfer them (bookmarks) back from wherever they are. Get it? When it updated from 3.6.9 to 3.6.13, and from 3.6.13 to 3.6.18, I didn't need to follow that process. They were already present on their own.
BTW, I'm having no problems with 3.6.18 but after learning about the existence of version 5.0.1, I'm a bit too eager to lay my hands over it.

We aren't Apple, just users like you. Have you tried a reset? Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

if its a major problem you should backup your phone via itunes or icloud. Dont forget to transfer purchases.
Once you do this , then you should restore your phone to factory settings and then restore with back up and see if it helps. If it doesnt then set it up as a new phone and download your apps again.

One notification on Settings after updating to iOS8?

Hey guys, I'm having a sort of weird issue with iOS8. After updating, my Settings icon had a notification, and I can't figure out what it's for. I've poked around in the settings and can't see anything that would have triggered the notification. I've restarted my phone and it's still there. It's probably some easy solution, but can anyone help me out?

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset.

Requery form data block is empty after updating notification attributes

we build a form to approve/reject open WF notifications.
The form data block is based on wf_notifications,
wf_local_user_roles, wf_notification_attributes and wf_comments and some additional PSB tables.
We use the following API's to perform the update:

First the query shows 3 notifications and after updating one notification as shown above a requery is performed on the datablock and no records are shown anymore.
If I remove the code wf_notification.SetAttrText then the 2 remaining notifications are shown.
It looks like the wf_notification.SetAttrText is conflicting with my view.

Thanks a lot i followed the instructions for safe mode (i found out that i was pressing the C button after restarting) i did whats written there but the repair couldn't be performed so in addition i needed to re-formate the HD so i erased the volume and then repaired the disk--> quite disk utilities --> start the installation from the installation DVD.

the phone dosen't vibrate any more! i am sure that the settings are correct. also it dosent vibrate when starting the phone like before!

Please tell me that it has NEVER been jailbroke. If it has not been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.
