Intel HD video driver update forced antialiasing problem

X220, Windows 7 x64. After video driver update from version 8.15.10.2769 to 9.17.10.2843 I noticed the text is blurry because some kind of antialiasing has been applied. I use Windows Classic theme and have ClearType turned off. The kind of anti-aliasing was different than the one used in Windows. I had to revert back to driver version 8.15.10.2769 to get rid of that.
I haven't found any setting in Intel video advanced settings to disable it. Note that I'm talking about anti-aliasing in 2D mode, not 3D games. It seems as some kind of subpixel antialising has been applied by the driver

I am not sure if this will make a difference or not, but have you tried enabling ClearType and using the ClearType Tuner (filename: CTTUNE.EXE) to see if you can come up with a setting that you like?

Most likely, you have a web plugin that depends on the Java runtime distributed by Apple, such as the Facebook video calling plugin or the "NexDef" plugin for watching baseball streams. If you no longer need the plugin, remove it. Otherwise, install Java.

Peter, you are correct that view constraints are not enforced in the sense of PKs and FKS, but there are two other view constraints that are enforced.

I'm wary about updating to Lion as this may cause any number of apps on my Macbook not to work at all or malfunction. Also my MacBook is 5 years old, and I was thinking about purchasing a new computer. I would like to decide when rather than be forced though. Does anyone have any suggestions for a work around? At the moment I do not subscribe to the cloud, and it looks like that is the only way I can back up my iPad now.

Snow Leopard is required if you wanted to upgrade to Lion, anyway, which you may want to in the future if the latest version of iTunes no longer supports Snow Leopard.

You should never update without making sure that you have saved everything on your computer first.
You should import all pics and vids before attempting any update.
If you have failed to save the data, then it is gone

I just bought my Macbook two months ago. I encounted a problem about updating it to the latest version of MAC OS X. The system reminded me to restart, I proceed. Everythig looked just fine until a poping up window shown "Mac OS X 10.5.3 pacakage can not be validated". Dose anyone know what did that mean? How can I update my little mac?

First, welcome to Apple discussions.
To answer your question, your computer checks all downloaded updates before installing them. It does this to make sure it's got the entire file and that the update will install correctly. The fact that validation fails on your machine probably means the file did not download correctly.
To install 10.5.3, simply go to this website, download the "10.5.3 combo update" and then run it on your Mac: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/

Becaust I want to update some items in a G/L Account with bdc or other technique, but I found I can't choose the items in the G/L Account with bdc automatically .That means I can't get the selected items and update them.So I try to update them with the function save_text directly (I know the doc no，bukrs,fiscal year ,item no which will decide the long text item).

Yes, you can update directly using SAVE_TEXT.

Ok I found a solution that worked for me, I simply dragged the user.js and the user.js.BAK to the desktop, before that I had done the same with the prefs.js and prefs.js.BAK, but that didn't help, so it's apparently the user file that was an error with.
It was the link from cor-el that helped me on the way http://kb.mozillazine.org/Preferences_not_saved
It's at the bottom titled User.js file locks certain preferences.

It have still not made a new user.js file, but everything runs fine, hope this can help others to.

Why are Java and Video Player updates appearing in Safari

Today these fake Java and Video Player update pop ups started appearing in Safari 6.2.4, in OS 10.8.5. The Java updates say I need version 13 which doesn't exist and the video player pop ups are gray with a red square that resemble the Adobe colors. These are popping up on almost every page I load in Safari.
I've looked in the Launch Daemons folder and that other Launch folder that keeps being recommended in the post that says I don't need to download anything and there is nothing out of the ordinary there. How do I stop these pop ups?

The update alerts are indeed fake, and are intended to dupe you into installing malware or disclosing private information so that your identity can be stolen.
You might get the alerts when visiting a website that has been hacked. Don't visit the site again. If applicable, notify the site administrator of the problem, but don't send email to an unknown party.
If you get the alerts when visiting more than one well-known website, such as Google, YouTube, or Facebook, then they may be the result of an attack on your router that has caused you to get false results from looking up the addresses of Internet servers. Requests sent to those sites are redirected to a server controlled by the attacker. It's possible, but less likely, that the DNS server used by your ISP has been attacked.
Back up all data.
Unlock the Network preference pane, if necessary, by clicking the lock icon in the lower left corner and entering your password. Cllck Advanced, open the DNS tab, and change the server addresses to the following:
          8.8.8.8
          8.8.4.4
That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply.
In Safari, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. If you’re using another browser, empty the cache. Test. If the fake update alerts stop, see below. Otherwise, ask for instructions.
The router's documentation should tell you how to reset it to the factory default state. Usually there's a pinhole switch somewhere in the back. It may be labeled "RESET." Insert the end of a straightened paper clip or a similar tool and press the button inside for perhaps 15 seconds, or as long as the instructions specify.
After resetting the router, quit the web browser and relaunch it while holding down the shift key. From the Safari menu bar, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Do the equivalent if you use another browser. Open the Downloads folder and delete anything you don't recognize.
Then go through the router's initial setup procedure. I can't be specific, because it's different for every model. The key points are these:
1. Don't allow the router to be administered from the WAN (Internet) port, if it has that option. Most do.
2. Set a strong password to protect the router's settings: at least ten random upper- and lower-case letters and digits. Don't use the default password or any other that could be guessed. Save the password in your keychain. Any password that you can remember is weak.
3. If the router is wireless, or if you have a wireless access point on the network, use "WPA 2 Personal" security and set a different strong password to protect the network. If the router or access point doesn't support WPA 2, it's obsolete and must be replaced.
During the time the router was compromised, you were redirected to bogus websites. If you ever connected to a secure site and got a warning from your browser that the identity of the server could not be verified, and you dismissed that warning in order to log in, assume that your credentials for the site have been stolen and that the attacker has control of the account. This warning also applies to all websites on which you saw the fake update alerts.
Check the router manufacturer's website for a firmware update.
If you downloaded and installed what you thought was a software update, ask for instructions.

Can not play any video after update to 4.4.2

Can not play any video after update to 4.4.2, it says always that i have to reconnect my HDMI Cable, reason HDCP error.

I have made some tests,
I can only view Trailers, every thing else dosn't work any more. I could not play any Video via Airplay. I tried to do it fom my IPhone 4, my IPad 1 and from my MacBook Pro 15"/i7 2 GHz/Mac OS10.7.2.

I reset the divice again and made a restore, but the same error.
I change the HDMI cable, same error.
