Video and animation Skips 10% of video/animation duration button

Hello,
Is it possible to create a button to skip 10% of video and animation duration? I can easily make it work on just the video but I need the animation scroll bar to follow on where I skip. Below is the playback animation I did:
The play button and the blue with orange bar syncs nicely but I can't sync the skip buttons to work with the video and the bar animation. Basically it's a video player that can do a frame-by-frame for the animation video above to show frame-by-frame when you start drawing. I'd like to have the bar follow the skip buttons on where the video timeline is.
I'm no code expert but knows how to use Edge Animate, the basic functions.

Hi,
I have an issue when I try to play DVD's in PowerDVD 8. Exactly every 5 seconds the video and audio skip, or jump/become choppy and I cannot watch a movie. I have been researching and trying to figure out what is happening but have no idea. Could it be the X-fi I have installed the latest beta drivers to no avail.
Anybody have this problem or have any ideas on how to fix it's I have updated all drivers/firmware for everything and still can't make it go, sigh.
I have the following specs:
Intel x38BT mobo
X-Fi Fatalitly champ.
4GB DDR3 RAM
9800 GTX
ASUS 8x dvd-rom

Gigabyte Boards at least with x48 chipset have an audio latency bug that is only fixed via a beta bios update. I have no idea if this also might affect your board...

How to correctly export and animation as layers from ps cs 5.1 to apple's motion?

I've made an animation in photoshop CS 5.1 with three layers that I want to export to Apple's application Motion in order to work on each layer individually. I can easily make a quicktime file, but I can't work on each layer this way. When I import the photoshop file I get the prompt "All Layers," which I choose, but there is no movement when I hit play on the timeline. Only one frame is displayed when there are a number of different frames, and animations. So, I've tried everything I can think of, but can't seem to crack this one. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm using an IMac with 8 gigs of ram and 3 external hard drives with a terabyte internal drive.

Thank you for your suggestion which I've tried. So now I have three separate layers in Apple's Motion. However, I want to import the rendered video from PS as alpha channels so that they don't need to have a transparent layer in Motion such as "Add". I want them to come in as transparent layers. I see no option in "Render Video," for making an alpha layer. What do you think I ought to do please? thanks so much! Lucinda

I'm a Graphic Designer and Animator with a Mid 2012 15" MBP. My programs get REALLY SLOW, ToonBoom Harmony and Sometimes Illustrator, HELP! I upgraded my Ram to 16GB LONG time ago and it's made a big difference but still the stuff I make is semi complicated/detailed I can't imagine this is the strength of my MBP I refuse to accept that. Select the image you want to change and go to Format Menu>Advanced>Define as Media Placeholder (or command, option, control i).

Synchronizing sound and animation

Hi All..
I have an animation of a swinging sign that is accompanied by a squeaking/swinging sound that is loaded externaly.. What I would like to do is go a step further and synchrinize the sound with the swinging sign.. Can someone please point me in a direction of where I should look? I've seen some tutorials about synking imported sound with animation - but is there a way to also synk an external sound? Thanks so much ahead of time!

you can't sync a loaded sound and animation unless you load your sound BEFORE your animation appears. or, at least, before the part of the animation that needs sound appears.
so, either don't load a sound that needs to be sync'd or use code to ensure loading is complete before the corresponding animation is displayed.

Hi! I am a danish children's author and want to create an ebook in "Fixed layout" for the ibookstore. I want the ebook to have simple interactive and animated features triggered by javascript. I would like more knowledge about what is and isn't possible with the javascript and CSS in apples fixed layout format. I have already viewed the "Yellow Submarine" ebook and Apples sample ebook "Sonnet 18". Are there more examples available?
Please do not point me to apps. There are great interactive book-apps for children - but for this project I am only interested in the Fixed layout format for the ibookstore.

Copy Audio Filters and animation

I'm laying a music clip over a section of my movie. While sections of the clip may be revised by my composer from time to time, the audio effects I'm applying, and their timing, will NOT be.
Is there a way to either
a) replace the audio in a clip, maintaining the effects and audio animation, or...
b) copy and paste audio effects and animation from one clip to another.
I'm working in FCPX on a canister tower running Yosemite.

Copy the audio clip that's in the timeline. Use the replace function to replace it, and then select the new clip and use Paste Attributes (Shift-Cmd-V) and select the items you want to put them back onto the clip.

Well, what you mention in your two sentences is somewhat of an Oxymoron. 3D modeling and animation, decent software and simple to use don't belong in the same sentence let alone paragraph. This is a FCP forum but I'll answer with my 2cents as I am a motion graphic artist that does 3D animation. There are about 6 different 3D applications that are worth their salt. Maya, 3ds Max, Softimage, Cinema 4D, Houdini and Blender. All are quite capable. None are what I would call simple to use. If you want to do 3D animation you need skills in modeling, texturing, rendering, lighting, rigging, animation, dynamics, drawing and script programming just to get started. If you are not up to spending the time and effort in having someone train to learn these skills and to spend the $$ for the hardware and software, what I would recommend is outsourcing your initial projects to get you started so you get an appreciation for what is really required to do the job and then once you understand all that is needed, you will have a better understanding of what software would fit for what you are trying to accomplish.
BTW I do freelance work.

Audio and animation synching

It was easy enough to synch audio and animation with indesign. So what's the big deal about getting it happening for edge animate !
There's a big potential for this that the adobe developers seemed to have over looked.

I would almost bet that they're Flash audio/animations.
Download and install Adobe Flash Player -> http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/. Quit your browser during installation and then open it again and log into your account. If you can't see the animations and hear the audio after that, call back.

Embedding font and animating

Hi
I want to use and embedd a windows 7 font.
Whats the best way to animate this font? It's just moving slowly but its not as smooth obviously as static.
I could vectorise, but this still isnt that smooth. Whats the best solution you guys use? I've seen websites with unusual font and animating smoothly before but I don't know how they do this!

How can I add "working" GIF and animation into the email document? When I do, there is no animation. Help doesn't address the subject.
