Trying to get footage from a dvd using fcp. I can import the clips ok using file >import but they have no audio with them and the audio folder on the dvd is blank...any ideas????????

The audio_TS folder is normally blank.
You need to use MPEG Streamclip to get the DVD files to Quicktime.

Cutting and saving individual video and audio files from a clip

I have to cut 201 individual video and audio files for separate scenes from an 11-minute animated episode and save them as separate MP4 video and MP3 audio files. What is the most efficient way to do this?

Without knowing more about your project, it's hard to even guess at the most efficient workflow.
Like: Do these clips have audio or are you adding it? What format are these clips? What is the intended delivery for the 11 minute movie?
As a general matter, one creates an event, imports clips to it. Then organizes the clips according to the needs of job, using keyword collections and ratings. Then creates a project and starts a rough cut by marking ranges in the event browser and editing to the time line. Some people start with the music, making that the primary storyline mark where they want the edit to be and cut to that.
Upon finishing, one can choose one or more of the "destination" presets. It's possible to export Audio only or Video only or both. MP3 is one of the audio choices. Some of the presets are MP4. If you want possibly better quality and more control, export the files as master files and encode in Compressor.

Yes, you can easily work with only audio or only video from a video clip in Premiere Elements.
How you do this depends on which version of the program you are using.

you want a video to play at something other than its native framerate?
if yes, you can't easily do that with an flvplayback component. you'll need to separate the audio and visual parts of your video and had them to a movieclip timeline. then you'll need to customize the playback speed of that movieclip.

Video and audio transmission from MacBook to TV

Since I really get mixed up with various posts about connecting MacBooks to a TV set I would love to get simple answers to the following questions:
How can I connect my MacBook to a TV so that I have video and audio rendering? My MacBook has a mini-DVi output, my TV set has VGA, HDMI, and audio inputs. Since to my knowledge HDI carries no audio signals I suspect that I need an extra audio connection. Is this true?

How do I import video and sound files from a hard drive into Final Cut Pro X?

I just installed the lastest upgrade to Final Cut Pro X. I have an external hard drive connected to my computer and I want to import video and sound files into Final Cut Pro X- how do I make the transfer?

File>Import Files (Shift-Cmd-I). Select the files, fill out the dialog box that appears as you need.

Video and Audio Files are different lengths when exporting

I'm just trying to get comforatable with a much faster Windows workstation on PPro and AE.
I just exported my first project from PPro to burn to Blu-ray like I've done dozens of times on our older Mac Pro w/o problems.
My Ppro file is 7:04:18 in length. I export the video as an mp2 Blu-ray video and import it into Encore and it shows up at that same length.
I export the audio as an aif and import it into Encore and it shows up as 7:06:19 in length--2 seconds and 1 frame longer.
Everything is CS6. File is 1920 x 1080, sq pixels, 29.97.
Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

Thanks for the feedback. I exported to aif as I was going to burn the Blu-ray on our Mac Pro in Encore, since we don't yet have a Blu-ray burner installed in our new Windows workstation.
Upon seeing your note, I re-exported the project as you described and placed the wav and mp2 in Windows Encore and they are both the same time length.
It seems the aif should be the same too... but I assume wav is likely the preferred format on Windows so will be using that as the new workflow.

How do I play a video and audio file at the same time on Apple Tv?

I need to play a video loop (with no audio) on my apple tv and also play some music in the background. Its a video loop with no audio and then I need music to play in the background. The loop needs to repeat all day because its only 5 min long and the audio is an entire play list that's several hours. This is for a lobby flat screen setup.

Can't transfer video or audio files from computer to iPhone 4S

I've been trying to transfer songs and videos that I have on my work computer to my iPhone 4S. The computer is one of my authorized computers, and the files were previously stored on a portable drive. I moved the files into iTunes and then tried to move them to the iPhone, but am blocked from doing so. Any thoughts?

Is this the computer with which you normally sync? Iphone will sync/manage itunes content with only one computer at a time. Syncing/managing to another will erase the current content and replace with content from the new comuter.

Im trying to checkin and checkout file in starteam through vba. I have imported the
StarTeamSDK104.dll in reference in vba project and tried to accomplish my task.
I am able to locate the file, but not able to checkout/checkin the file. I am not sure how to use checkin/checkout function in vba. I am getting an error at the checkout code(hichlighted in bold in the below code). Also I was able to
do it in java but i want it in vba.

Using video and audio signal from a camera connect...

Why is it not possible and is skype intending to implement the ability to use the video signal form a digital camcorder connected to a tv?
A lot of people these days have digital camcorders or digital cameras that produce video signal. Why can't those be supported as video input by skype?

3 - DVI-D
4 - D-SUB port (VGA port)
5 - Audio: Line in
6 - Audio: Line out
7 - Audio: Microphone
You already mentioned DVI-HDMI : it works but no sound. That's true because DVI does not carry audio signals. All you need is using RCA cable to connect port #6 to your TV.
