Video audio-file artwork problem

Can I get my iPod to display artwork for videos I rip myself? When I look at the song file of the video under the labums section, the artwork does not appear on the iPod even though it does in iTunes. Any ideas? All videos also get added into the song library of the iPod so that you can choose to play only the audio if, say, the iPod is in your pocket and you do not want to waste battery power on the visual you are not watching. Artwork then shows up with the song information, as if it was a normal song. This only occurs for me with the video I bought from iTunes, and not the ones I made myself. I want to change that.

Well.... I removed Garage band, rebooted and problem solved.

Thank you Russ! Seems as though the timestamp on my audio files was completely incorrect so it placed the files far away from the corresponding video. I've modified the timestamp information and this has helped. The hour/minute information is incorrect but at least now I'm in the ballpark. Thank you!

  • Recording video/audio files using Flash Meida Server through rmtp, and allow users to access the recorded files through http.

As titled, what is the way to record video/audio files using Flash Meida Server through rmtp, and allow users to access the recorded files through http?
What I am trying to do, is to record a user's microphone's input and save it to the server. Afterwards, I would like other users to be able to access the recorded files and mainuplating the audio data, by computeSpectrum(), to do some visualization of the audio. As I know computeSpectrum() cannot work on streaming files, so I think I need to access the recorded files using http instead of rmtp. Is that true?
How can I redirect the http request to the files I was recorded into my applications/appName folder? Or I need to somehow moved the recorded files to the /webroot folder?
    Thanks!

I probably have asked a stupid question.
My recorded streams are still saved in the applications/appName/streams folder.
And I redirect the www.mydomain.com/streams to point to the applications/appName/streams folder.
And the rmtp recorded streams are abled to connect through http now.

  • Video & Audio Files Logged & Captured Independently. Why?

    Hello All,
I've been working with a Panasonic DVX 100B for some time now. I've had nothing but success in shooting footage, and transferring it to my computer using the Log & Capture function. On my latest attempt something has happened that I can't figure out. The video and audio are captured, but they are not linked. In other words, I can find the video file in my Capture Scratch / Project Folder, but when I import it into my project, there is no audio accompanying it. I can however find the audio file in the Audio Capture Scratch, and import that. When placed at the same playhead location on the timeline, they are perfectly in sync. This is nice, but it makes editing an unnecessary struggle.
I tried logging and capturing twice, to see if it was just a glitch. The same thing occurred.
Did I bump something inadvertently? What's happening? Finally, is there a way to permanently connect the audio and video now, or do I need to log and capture again (3rd time being a charm)?
    Thanks.
    DG

You changed the capture scratch disk setting.
    • Uncheck "capture audio and video to separate files".
To link the audio and video
    • Once the audio and video are in the timeline and aligned, select them then: Modify>Link (⌘+L)

  • FCX & Compressor 4 - output audio is hiss for older video/audio files

Hello - I'm using FCPX and Compressor 4. I'm compiling video files that go back to thirteen years old. FCX has been handling the files very well. They all look and sound as expected in the viewer and project playback. I've mixed the audio with an additional soundtrack and am happy with the results. However, when I move the project to Compressor (or even if I export it using FCX) the older files look as expected, but have a terrible hiss. All other audio is filtered out or overwhelmed. All the newer files sound just fine. The file types are a mix that were captured using over a dozen different digital cameras.
Can anyone recommend an appropriate audio output setting that might alleviate my problem with hiss? I've searched all over, but don't see any similar question.
    thanks!
    Alex

Below are screenshots the Quicktime Inspector and FCP HUD for two of the troublesome clips. They play and sound fine when previewing in FCP, it's just the saved files that sound terrible!
I removed the soundtrack and exported to Compressor. The resulting file had hiss for all of the same offending clips.
Thanks for your help with this frustrating issue.

  • How to remove first 7 seconds of imported video & audio files

I've imported 2-hour audio & video files (edited in FCP, then taken to Compressor) into my DVDSP project.
Can I now edit out the first 7 seconds of what I imported, before I burn the DVD? If so, how? (I want to remove a title that I should have removed originally in FCP, but didn't. Don't want to wait hours to re-compress the files.)

There is no editing in DVD SP. If you want to edit out the first 7 seconds you will have to do that in FCP.
An alternative is to put a chapter marker at the 7 second spot and then target that. The problems with this is that you might not be able to put the chapter marker on the exact frame you might want, and people can rewind and discover those 7 seconds.

  • Video/Audio QT Synch Problem

I am experiencing an unusual problem with Final Cut Pro 6. I have an HDV 1080/60i sequence that is being exported as a Quicktime, but then I check the exported file, I find that the video on one clip has slipped as much as one second. I went back to the sequence and deleted the clip, re-inserted it and re-exported it. But the exported Quicktime once again has moved just that one clip.
You don't know it's going to happen until you check the QT.
Any thoughts on what might be going on?
    Thanks,
    Chris

OK, I've not figured out what went wrong.. exactly but I do have my suspicions...
I've fixed it by replacing any video that wasn't playing by re-importing the original source video. This took me quite a long time...!
The only thing I remember doing that may have caused issues, is running the 'Space Saver' option to delete unused clips. Now... I'm not saying this was the cause, but if you're still tweaking and tidying up, unless you're really low on drive space, I suspect leaving this option be is a good idea. Ditto goes for the consolidate option, I ran that afterwards, again it might well be blame free, but one of these two options did something bad...!
I've now got a video I'm happy with, and believe me, Time Machine is backing up my drive as I speak. Hopefully no-one else has this same hiccup, but veer away from any Space Saver, or Consolidate till you're completely done, and hopefully you won't share the same fate as me...
And if anyone at Apple is reading... AVCHD DVD export would be a lovely feature for an update on iMovie. HD playback on any Blu-ray player, but burnt to an ordinary DVD-R... Make it happen please, then I can retire my PC for good :P

  • Weird video/audio going missing problem...

    Hello,
Here is one for the iMovie experts then...
I've edited a 30 minute movie together of footage from my hols. Whilst everything initially worked fine and exported OK, now when I'm scrubbing through the clips, I get some that either show no video and no audio (I just get black, or the auto transitions pause halfway through) or... if I reboot sometimes I get the audio but not the video... Same happens when I export it, regardless of format chosen.
It's driving me proper up the wall.
The source video was shot on a Kodak Zi8, it's 720p AVCHD imported at 'Full' settings. It get's optimised when imported, and the intermediate files all play fine (indeed, if I scrub through them in the event library the sound and video is there!) so I'm rather confused! I am using the image stabilisation quite a lot, but I'm not changing the speed of any of the clips.
I've tried clearing the cache, thumbnails, deleting the preferences, re-importing the source. Nothing seems to make a difference. Which makes me think I've hit a bug, or I'm doing something silly...
    Any suggestions?
    Steve

  • How should i export already h.264 compressed video/audio files after i edit them?

I am recording gameplay footage off computer with a program that compresses the video and audio. After I edit the footage how should i export it? I don't want to lose quality by double compressing it.

    No.
You need to explore Compound Clips. This workflow may or may not be of help.
Select an Event with clips in it and press Option+G to make a (blank) compound clip.
Select the Event Browser, create a new Event and call it 'Effects'.
Drag the Compound Clip into this Event.
Right-click the clip and select 'Open in Timeline'.
Select the timeline and press Option+W. This will add a Gap Clip to the timeline.
Select the gap clip and press Ctrl+D then type in the duration you want the clip to be.
Now open a project and select and copy one of the clips with effects etc.
Open the Compound Clip in the Timeline again, select the gap clip and press Option+Cmd+V to paste the effects into your Compound Clip.
This clip is now saved in your Browser and will remain there for you to copy and then paste the effects into any clip in any project.
It's a bit clunky, but it works - and once you learn about Compound Clips, you can work wonders with them. As an example, if you want to add more effects without overwriting the effects in the Compound Clip, simply make the Compound Clip into a Compound Clip (again) and add the effects. They will be added to the original effects.
    Andy.

  • Serious video/audio/screen sharing problems

Ok, I have been researching this forum and all over google for about a week, and I can't figure this out! I can't connect for AV chat or screen sharing.
My friend is in Ohio, I am in NJ. We can both connect to the apple tester screen names. She can connect to other people in her house, but we can't connect to each other. I have tried disabling the SPI Firewall (Netgear Router), we have changed bandwith settings, sharing setting, security settings. I am using a Macbook pro, she is using a macbook....both have Leopard.
Help. Please. I'm losing my mind!

  • Embeding Video/Audio with a Premiere Pro Project File

Can anyone tell me how you can Embed your video/audio files with a Premeire Pro CS6 project file?  Copying all the original footage from your specific project and placing it into a folder with the project file? Thanks alot.
    Brandon C.

You can't.  The only asset from a PP project that can be embedded into the project file are PP generated titles.  Everything else will always be a separate file on the hard drive.
As for copying those separate files to a single location, I personally recommend using the proper tool for the job.  File management should always be done using a file manager, like Windows Explorer or Finder.

  • Can you embed video/audio in a captivate file?

i was wondering if it's possible to somehow embed video/audio files in a captivate slideshow so that no sidecar files are required?
or will i always need to keep seperate linked mp3 and flv files along side the captivate file?
    thanks!

okay thanks shekhar for you reply : ) i don't have much experience with captivate, only flash.
i think i've figured out that when inserting an audio file (e.g. .wav) the file is actually embedded in the cptx file, meaning you don't need the .wav file as a seperate file (like for example the way linked files in indesign work).
however, for video files, i still don't know if it works the same way. are the files embedded? or linked?
let me put it this way: if i have a captivate file that has video and audio in it and i want to move the project to a different computer - do i need to take only the cptx file? or do i need to also move some media files as well?
    thanks

  • Video/audio application sharing

    Hi,
Is it possible to show video/audio files through application sharing.
    Thanks &Regards
       Developer

    Hi Raghu thanks,
My requirement is, using application sharing  i want to watch a video file running in mediaplayer from some others desktop.
Currently i can see all applications in my desktop thru application sharing except video(mpeg)\audio files.
When i try to see video files, mediaplayer comes with a blank view but the progress bar is moving while application is running properly in the accessed desktop.
Is this is a problem in streaming server ?
How to change the settings of streamingserver ? or any other solution available ?
    Plz help me.
