Video breaking up in Premiere CC

Hi, I can't figure this out. The source video is fine but in Premiere and export it looks like this - any ideas?
Source is H.264 1080/23.98 and created the sequence from clip.
Thanks

If you care to upload a clip, I can check it here.

You don't... at least not directly... you export MPEG2-DVD and then use the TWO files (audio and video) in Encore

  • How can I get video media .MOD into Premiere El. 9?

Videos from my Canon 7d camera and from my Canon ADCHD camcorder (both SD cards) are .MOD files. I open Premiere Elements 9 and click GET MEDIA and it won't recognize the files. It says it cannot open the videos because:
"your system does not have the required compression/decompression codec installed."
When I bought this software a service rep assured me that it would take .MOD files. Why weren't these codecs installed with the program? How can I get these videos to work with Premiere Elements 9?

First, I apologize - I meant .MOV files, not .MOD files. I did download the Quick Time update. Then other problems arose:
Per an e-mail from a forum member, I downloaded an update of QuickTime, which should let me open .MOV files.
Inserted an SD memory card from my Canon camcorder. I selected FLASH, ADCHD...  Then GET MEDIA.
Thumbnails appeared labeled MOV001.MOD and ascending numerical order. Then Premiere stopped working and a message appeared:
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive\device\Harddisk1\DR1
So I must have picked the wrong device category?
I couldn't close the error message or the software so used the Task Manager to get out of it.
After a couple more tries I gave up.
Then I tried my DSLR Canon 7d CF memory card. Selected NEW FILE. Clicked on "edit settings" and chose DSLR > GET MEDIA. The downloader began. Up came another message.
Download failed because the files are TOO LARGE.
These are CR2 (RAW) PHOTOS. Do I have to change the format to .jpg or .psd in Photoshop Elements first?
    Any suggestions?

  • Horrible video output quality with Premiere Pro CS4 + Adobe Media Encoder

I am trying to make some changes to a DV format file, and output as the same DV format. When the video is brought into Premiere, it looks crisp in the left-hand video box. But, when playing it on the right window and when encoding it, it comes out as a mess with substantial compression artifacts.
What confuses me is, I have experimented with a lot of codecs--even uncompressed AVI. There is no change in the video resolution--source is 720x480, as is output. I am keeping all the pixel aspect ratios the same as the source footage.
What is creating this distortion? I have no scaling of the video whatsoever in the sequence...
Is there some compression box I'm not seeing here?
I've attached a screenshot of a still from the video. As you can see, substantial artifacting around the lettering, making the text unreadable.

Some suggestions and answer at least the 16 questions at the end of the Wiki article.

  • How do I edit the video audio in Adobe Premiere Elements 10

I want to edit the video audio, so that I can get rid of some of the sounds and background noises.  Also, how do you import Plug-ins into Adobe Premiere Elements 10?  I have trial versions of Adobe Audition CC and SmartSound.  Thanks in advance for your help!

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 10 running on? And, very important, what video card/graphics card  does your computer use.
If a NVIDIA GeForce card, then that needs to be looked at first because of the serious and known Premiere Elements 10/NVIDIA GeForce issue which is described in one of the announcements at the top of this forum.
SmartSound is an feature included with Premiere Elements 10. Why are you looking at any trial version of SmartSound?
As for Adobe Audition CC, I was not aware that this is a plug-in. As far as I know, Adobe Audition CC is an application that Premiere CC can integrate with as a CC application which Premiere Elements is not.
    See the following video tutorial
Clean up Premiere Pro audio clips with Audition | Adobe Creative Cloud tutorials
Look at the price tag afterward, probably on subscription rates?
Please check out the Premiere Elements 10 audio effects, especially those related to noise reduction.
Have you looked at the free audio editor named Audacity and its noise reduction opportunities?
Please give more details in support of your Adobe Audition CC being a plug-in if you are confident that it is.
    Thanks.

  • Video breaking up on DVD

I recently upgraded from FCP4 to 6 and just getting used to some subtle differences.
I am working on a project that is approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes long. Some sequences have more action and graphics than others so I export using compressor using different bit rates for different sections.
One section that I export using the 150 minute in compressor there is just one short segment where the video breaks up. It is breaking up in DVDSP simulator as well as on a dvd player after the dvd is burned. The video looks great in FCP but does not break up until after compression.
    Any ideas???
    thanks

OK, this issue is still occurring sporadically. Let me explain in more detail the issue.
The projects that I am working on are wedding DVDs.
One sequence is simply the live ceremony which is just the actual ceremony. The groom is mic'd as is the priest. I use one or the other audio track. There is nothing more in the timeline than the footage I captured in FCP6 using the default NTSC settings. This sequence exports fine using compressor.
The other sequence that I am having the problems with is the "highlights" sequence. This sequence has all the cheesy slo mo and music added. I copy and paste the audio and video of the vows from the "live ceremony" sequence. I go down with the music that is on audio track 2 so the vows are audible. This entire sequence uses slo mo except for the vows when the video is of course at 100%. After compression the video during the vows flickers and breaks up. This is verified by seeing the video in DVDSP as well as quick time player so the problem definitely is happening during compressor. The rest of the "highlights" looks fine. This has happened 3 times out of 7 projects. I have been able to correct the problem by exporting the vows as an aif file and then import it back in and use it in the timeline instead of the captured audio. Then I compress the sequence and the video looks fine.
Is it possible that the audio is somehow messing up the video???

  • Can you add batch video transition in adobe premiere cs5.5?

can you add batch video transition in adobe premiere cs5.5?
i want to make a slide show with my pictures and i dont want to add fade in/out 400 times so is there any batch transition or one click fade in/out or at least something like that?

    Use:
    1. Automate to sequence and select the transition you want, or
    2. Apply the transition in the timeline, copy, select the rest of the clips and paste attributes.

  • How do I rotate a video 90 degrees with premiere elements 9?

I shot a birthday video of the neighbors 5 year old with my Canon T2i camera.  Had to turn the camera on its side to get everything in the shot.  I can view the video right side up in the canon software but can not make the change permanent so the neighbor can watch it on his computer.  Can I rotate the video 90 degrees in premiere and make it permanent?  If not, where do I go?
    Thanks

As Steve says, Rotation with Video, is not so straightforward.
If you oriented the camera on its side, to get more of the image, then I would recommend that after you Rotate the Video, that you Scale it to fit perfectly within the Frame Size. This will result in Pillar Boxing, with black bars on the sides, as with Video, you have a horizontal Aspect Ratio.
If this was just due to the mechanical need to mount the camera sideways, or due to an error, then one could Rotate, then just Scale Up and effective crop the top, or bottom, or both with the Project's Frame Size.
This is often done when taping actors for bluescreen work, but in that case, one is going to eliminate the bluescreen background anyway, and Key the material into a horizontal Video background, so the end result is different, than what you have.
Now, one artistic treatment would be to Rotate, and then use your footage as a PiP, inside of a larger image. Though it was written for doing this with stills in a Video, look at this ARTICLE for some ideas on how this might be used with your footage. The actual application of those techniques will ONLY be limited by your imagination. Hope that it gives you some good ideas.
    Good luck,

  • Converting Nokia N95 MP4 videos for use with Premiere Pro?

What would you say the best way to convert Nokia N95 MP4 videos for use with Premiere Pro is?

  • Can a video created with Adobe Premiere Elements 13 be converted to run on Adobe Premiere Elements 11?

Can a video created with Adobe Premiere Elements 13 be converted to run (and be edited, etc.) on Adobe Premiere Elements 11?
I have several hours invested in a video creation that I made with Premiere Elements 13, but now 13 is refusing to work properly (space bar and play button do not move the time line indicator forward).  Hopefully, I will get the problem solved, but in the meantime I must get this project completed and don't have time to start over.  So, I need to convert the work so that it can be completed with Premiere 11 which seems to work fine.
    Thanks, Dave

    Dave
Is this an outdated thread? I thought that you had resolved the play button/space bar issue.
Classically, you cannot open a project created in a later version in an earlier version. If you try, you get hit with "The project appears to be damaged, it cannot be opened." messaged. There was one rare and little known occasion when that was not the case. It involved Premiere Elements 10. So, that is not going to help us any here.
If you still have the play button/space bar issue, can you get out of the 13 project by exporting it to file which you can import into a new Premiere Elements 11 project? If need be, I can suggest the details of that if you tell me the project setting for the 13 project.
Please let us know the situation at this time.
    Thank you.

Premiere Pro is just for editing video.  Photoshop or Photoshop Elements is for editing photographs.

  • I need HELP with exporting videos with PIP from Premiere Elements 11 to YouTube please?

When I am editing and rendering videos that have picture-in-picture using Premiere Elements 11, the videos (once they've been uploaded to YouTube) have these thick black margins above and below the picture-in-picture images/videos. These margins are not visible when the videos are viewed using Premiere Elements but then they appear when the video is on YouTube. How can I prevent this? Is this a format issue? Thanks.

    Welcome to the forum.
Can you tell us exactly how you created your PiP, please?
Knowing the specs. of both your background Video (and your Project Settings), plus the specs. of the Video used in the PiP, will likely be useful.
Also, seeing a screen-cap of your Timeline, at the point of the PiP, might be useful too.
    Good luck,
