Video Buffering Slow iOS 7 to 8.2
Ever since iOS 7, on my iPad 2, the video streaming is abysmal. I used to be able to stream a video directly from my PC over wifi FROM an SMB share on my iMac without any problems. NOT FROM THE INTERNET. It had a huge buffer and all was well with the world.
Now not only is streaming outrageously slow, it assumes a 5 second buffer is enough, and there's no way to make that buffer larger. I'd like to at least be able to buffer a gigabyte ahead so it's not constantly pausing to catch up as I watch. It's currently unwatchable as it stands. It's totally useless now.
I tested my wifi speed using speedtest anyway, just to see what kind of speeds I get. I realize wifi is generally slower, my download speeds on my iMac connected directly to the cable is 120mb/s down, on my iPad it's 12mb/s at best.
I assume this is enough, however, according to the rules about streaming. I should at least be able to choose my buffer size.

Slow video buffering since installing maverick
I have had slow video buffering since installing Maverick, any suggestions?
I have had this issue before as well
My system was also occasionally completely unresponsive after the Mavericks upgrade. (It's been through 4, now)
So, I backed up all my files with time machine and performed a clean install and all my issues were compltely resolved. Including the slow buffering. Although doing this was a tedious, long, and aggravaiting process, my issues were resolved. Good luck, or whatever, if you are still having this problem as this (even though not an ideal one) is a solution. -

Have you tried any other browser? How are you connected? Wifi or LAN? Check advanced settings in the advanced mode of lenovo's Power Manager for wifi, and make sure it's set to maximum performance.

.flv videos load slow. Can it be sped up?
I have four videos on a page that two of them load
imediately. The other two take about five minutes to load. Is there
a way to make them all load at the same time?
By the way. The videos all load faster in FireFox. The videos
load slow IE, which I think is what most people tend to use.
http://www.liquidfirefishing.com/videos.html
Also, if anyone can tell me how enable a full screen button.
Thanks in advance.there is no way to control the 'speed' of the DL - however
you may be able to 'stream' the video - in this way it will only
pause until properly buffered and then begin playback. -
Youtube app loads videos very slow On my ipad mini

Check your internet upload speed. You probably have a very slow speed.

HT201343 Is there a way to stream video from one iOS device to another?
My family and I are going on an extended vacation and we want to make sure the kids have enough videos to keep them busy on very long flights. I'm taking my MacBook Pro and was wondering if there's a way to stream video our different iOS devices without preloading movies on every device.
If the MBP was connected to inflight WiFi like Gogo it might be possible. Then you use the MBP as a hotspot using internet sharing. The iOS devices connect to the MBP. I'm not sure if Its allowed in flight but give it a try.

Quicktime plays video in slow motion
Quicktime plays my video from a Sony NEX-3 camera [H.264 MP4 files] in slow motion. The images plays at a reduced speed, while the sound plays at full speed. One consequence is that image and sound is completely out of sync. The video plays fine in iMovie and MPEG stream clip.
I tried in two Macs: a Macbook Air (10.6.6) and a Macbook (10.6.5) and on both the video is slow motion, but on the Macbook it is extreme slow motion, while on the Macbook Air it is slight slow motion [mainly noticeable through lack of sync between image and sound].
Video from iPhone 4 plays without problems in Quicktime.
Since iMovie plays the Sony video fine, I would assume it is not a Sony video problem, but a bug in Quicktime. How do I get Apple to fix that bug?How do I get Apple to fix that bug?

Why does my avchd video run slow when i up load it to Elements 10?
Most likely because your computer is not powerful enough to effectively edit that codec

Playing video from a capture device - Out of memory for video buffers?
Hello guys, I'm having problems playing video from a video capture device when not using JMStudio. When I use JMStudio, the video plays real time with no problems, but when I use code taken from a java book which is a simple Media Player, I get the following error:
"Error is Error: Out of memory for video buffers."
My capture device is working and I don't know why i get this error when trying to watch the video feed from a program other than JMStudio. I also tried different code that has worked in the past with the same exact capture device and I still get the same error. Please help, I have no clue at this point. The code for the simple media player is below, it's taken out of the book "Java: How to Program (4th edition)":
Thanks in advance, I am very greatful
Miguel
device info: vfw:Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win32):0
When I type the locator, I am typing vfw://0, I also tried just vfw://
and I get the same error.
