Video Call to a conference room

Hi dears!
My customer have an environment with endpoints TANDBERG, MCU, TMS and VCS.
Nowadays they can to make call using the ip address of destination, but the customer needs to make a call to a conference room and this conference room has a number.
We would like to now if it is possível and if yes, what configuration is required, in the TANDBERG, or VCS or TMS or MCU.
We try to make this calls with the follows ways:
[email protected]  -  Call Failed
187.111.65.10##8030  -  Call Failed
187.111.65.10#8030  -  Call Failed
187.111.65.10,,8030  -  Call Failed
187.111.65.10, 8030  -  Call Failed
187.111.65.10@8030  -  Call Failed
187.111.65.10@@8030  -  Call Failed
187.111.65.10*8030  -  Call Failed
The IP ADDRESS is 182.111.65.10 and the conference room is 8030.
Some idea?

If you mean calling the Polycom system from the MCU, then no, but then you must calll the IP address of the Polycom.
I would register it to the VCS as that way it'll be exactly the same as the TANDBERG/Cisco end-points as far as calling goes as you will only have to call the alias (conference number) as long as you have the correct search rules in place - see the deployment guide:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/vcs/config_guide/Cisco_VCS_Basic_Configuration_Cisco_VCS_Control_with_Cisco_VCS_Expressway_Deployment_Guide_X7-0.pdf
By they way, you might want to consider ugrading the VCS to x7.2 which is the current version.
Also, I see you're running TC5.1.x, you really should consider upgrading it, see this security bulletin:
http://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20130619-tpc and note in particular how you can obtain release keys without having a valid service contract.
This bug; https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCuf89557 was not fixed until TC6.1, and if you get the release key from TAC to take it up to that release, then you can go from there and go to the current version which is TC6.3 - up to you though.

Does anyone know whether iOS5 has features such as:

    Unknown, probably NO- Block Caller
(True call blocking can only be done by the carrier. The best any phone could possibly do is a) not ring and b) send the call to voice mail)
Unknown, probably NO- Record Voice Call
(This will probably NEVER been included as the legality of doing so can vary wildly from place to place, sometimes from state to state and even city to city)
    Unknown- 3G Video Call (GSM)
This may not be such a great idea with most carriers doing away with unlimited data plans. FaceTime over 3G could end up costing a lot!
Not published, but widely reported as Yes- Personalize Text Ringtone
This already exists in the current iOS and has since 1.0- Conference Call
AT&T can handle up to 5 simultaneous calls linked together, Verizon only 2. Support will vary by carrier.

  • Webex in a conference room

We want to use Webex in a small conference room. The current setup is 3 tables in a U shape. The laptop is at the center of the front table with 2 usb cameras each pointing at the side tables. The problem we are having is switching between cameras. Is there away to smoothly switch cameras? Is there a camera or a voice activating or switching solution that will work with Webex?

Cisco's solution to this is to integrate their on-premise TelePresence infrastructure with WebEx. Essentially, the room-based TelePresence codec, whatever model works best for the room, either OBTP or auto-connects to an MCU/TelePresence Server. The MCU also auto-connects a meeting-specific SIP URI through VCS-Control and Expressway into the WebEx cloud, joining the video meeting participants into the WebEx meeting. This is called TelePresence enabled WebEx:

  • If the DroidX had a front camera how easy would it be to video call with Skype or Fringe?

Apparently EVO with Sprint you can video conference with Fringe but is this something that has to been done through WIFI?  I was ready to upgrade to the DroidX but I am wondering if I should hold off for the front camera.  I love using Skype video and it would be amazing to have this feature on the phone if it is an easy thing to do.
It would be greatly appreciated if someone is knowledgable about this information.
    Thank you!

Since that is a hypothetical situation (Droid X front camera), there is no real way to even guess how the carrier or manufacture would implement this feature because if you look at how other devices use this feature you notice that they are not implementing this feature the same way.  Also in regards to the EVO video calls is across the 4G network but from what I have read they have been experiencing a lot of connection issues do to the network being over whelmed (which isnt a surprise)...

  • Do i need to make specific configuration to use video call at ichat?

i am new user of ichat?
i can not make video call at ichat?
My famile they use normal PC.
how can i make it to work with AIM yahoo messenger?
    thank you...

    Hi,
In the past iChat has worked with AIM Names to AIM names on a PC using the AIM for PC app.
However this has not always been easy and AIM have just changed their App and now use Flash to get Video into the App (Making it incompatible with iChat).
Although iChat can use Jabber IDs (Includes GoogleTalk and Facebook IDs) and in iChat 6 Yahoo names these only work iChat to iChat.
About 3 or 4 years ago it did seem that the major players were all moving towards a standard way of doing things.  (it did look a long way off though)  However more recently they have moved away from each other again.
You may find Skype is a better option across Platforms (Mac to PC) or using sites like MeBeam
These needs Flash to be enabled in your Browser
Type a room name in the text box on the site.
It will take you to that "room"
Copy URL of room and send it to Buddy and they will join you in that room.

each time someone video calls me when I'm on my desk top, it won't let me accept. it shows up for a second then says i missed a call. any suggestions?

    Hi,
I see that I missed the important bit about it being "accept triggered Remotely" rather than Auto Accept.
I know just enough AppleScript to create Away Messages on Accept and set Available on Chat end.
    Accept
    using terms from application "iChat"
    on av chat started
    set status to away
set status message to "In Conference . . ."
    end av chat started
    end using terms from
    Chat Ended
    using terms from application "iChat"
    on av chat ended
    set status to available
set status message to "I was Busy but Now I am Not"
    end av chat ended
    end using terms from
As to taking the response/input from a Remote device and linking that with an "Accept" instruction in iChat is a bit beyond me.
However there is a Forum here in Apple Discussions that deals with AppleScript Here
The Full path to that forum is this Apple.com > Support > Discussions > Mac OS X Technologies > AppleScript (Where it reads "Discussions in the Index Page).

  • DX70/80 and external SIP video calls

We have a BE6K running CUCM 10 and Collab Edge.  Our main conf room has an MX300.  We have a couple rich media licenses.
We are looking at the new DX70/80.  From what I understand they will work fine for video calling within our cluster.  But will they work with Collab Edge and external SIP video conferencing to a third party?  Do I just need to make sure I have enough rich media licenses? Anything else?
    Thanks!

Any Telepresence Endpoint/Codec running TC7.0.1 or later firmware is enabled for MRA with Expressway.
Additionally, yes, you need the RMS licenses for your Expressway-Core and Edge to traverse the call for B2B calling as well as a SIP Dial-Plan in CUCM to send the calls to Expressway.

  • Video call when I log in at two different computer...

    Hello!
I am wondering what would happen if I am making a video call while logging in at two different computers. Will both computer show the pictures and have the sound? Thanks!

    Hi, pixie12,
No, they will not -- you can place your video call from one computer or the other.  The same would apply for an audio call.  If you really had to do this, the work-around is you would have to set up another Skype account and conference your two accounts with the participant with whom you are speaking with.
Instant messages will syncronize accross different computers and devices, but likewise you could not start a sentence on one computer, finish it on another, and press the Send key.
    Kind regards,
    Elaine

  • CUCM 9.0 and SX20 video call - inter region

    Hi Guys,
I am having an issue establishing a inter region video call between 2 SX-20 endpoints.
Call works fine when I move them to same region
I have made the CAC to unlimited for video on the Locations
I have played with the Video Bandwidth in the regions.
I have changed the defaults under the Service Parameters for Inter and Intra Region
I have tried to adjust MAX and MIN under Conference 1 on the SX20s
I have tried changing the default video call bandwidth to both 384 and 768
In every case, Call works fine when both endpoints are in same region and just and audio call when interregion (G711Ulaw) .
For some reason its not presenting the right codec.
Also in CUCM 9.0, I am not able to collect the SDI traces on the endpoints. it says "Trace not found for Service Call Manager, trace type 'sdi' " which is a reported bug in older releases but was fixed. I guess it has returned too ...
    Any suggestions ?

    Hello Varungulati,
I'm having the same issue, did you manage to solve this problem ?
    Thanks,

  • Group Video Call

    Hello,
My company  is exploring upgrading to Business Skype. We would like the ability to host Group Video Chats, the main concern here is, do the other parties need to also have business skype in order to participate in the Group Video Chat.
We would like to upgrade to Business Skype to have this functionality while not forcing our customers to have to upgrade. Please provide me with more information as well as rates/Subscription fees.
    Thank you.

    Hi HWSands,
The quick answer to your question is 'No'.  Your customers do not have to business Skype accounts to join your Group Video Conference.  Only the host is required to have the Group Video Calling subscription.  The cost of group video calling is GBP£4.99 per month.
If you would like more information about how to use Skype in your business please get in touch.
    I hope this helps.

  • Group video call on LG 55LA6200 with LG AN-VC500

    Hi,
Trying to set up group video to include LG smart TV.
    Following instructions found here: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10801/making-a-group-video-call-mac
Initiate the call by starting a new converstion on a laptop, using Premium account.  Add users, including the account on the TV. Click "Video call".  Conversation starts, but not everyone can see everyone else.  Example:
Master laptop initiates on laptop in same room as TV (or not).
    TV is account on TV.
Remote is account on desktop across the hall.
Every device can see its own camera view.
Master laptop can see itself and Remote video.
    TV can only see itself.
Remote can see itself and Master laptop video.
Is there something we're doing incorrectly?

  • Group Video Calling

Is Skype Premium to tool I need to have group video conferences for multiple offices.  I want each office to see all other offices during the conference and I need to control and pay for the entire package from one account.  Does it include Skype Manager and is it $9.99 per month for each office location or account.  Example if I have 5 offices is it $9.99 per office.  Can we also do desktop/screen sharing for document collaboration with this package.

Hello MerwynJohn. With group video calling you can get Send file, contacts, share your desktop, take a picture, or add people to the conversation. All everyone needs is the latest business version of Skype, a laptop and a webcam. Itʼs simple to use, group video calls can be between three or more people (up to a maximum of 10), and at least one person on the call needs a group video calling subscription. For the best quality, we currently recommend video calls with up to five people. For group video calling everyone on the call needs the latest version of Skype for Windows plus a webcam. You'll also need a high-speed broadband connection (we recommend sustained 512 kbit/s downlink or more) and a computer with a 1 GHz processor (minimum) or Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz (recommended). We also recommend a minimum of 1 GB memory and 2 GB memory for group video calls with up to five participants. I hope this answered your questions. If you have anymore just post them and I'll answer them for you. Beowolfv

  • 3g Video calling

I have a N6280 on T-Mobile and I want make video calls, I have tried to call and a message on the screen says Error In Connection, having spoken to T-Mobile they said that the coverage in my area was not good but the 3G logo is on the screen, then they said that they don't fully support 3G, now I don't know whether my phone is faulty, no coverage or need new settings, anybody know the answer?

for free video conference, you can currently use http://www.faceflow.com/ which works for all phones, as well as PC.
Regarding Viber, they are a bit late on schedule, but indeed they are currently testing their BB10 app with voice.
Microsoft on the other hand is also late for Skype for BB10. I do not know when they will release it, but it seems that they are currently fixing bugs on their alpha version.
