Video Camera locks up when ending a recording!

Here lately when I want to record video with my iPhone 4S, the video capture will lock up if footage is longer than a minute. When I go to hit the stop record button often times the video will continue to record even though I hit the button to stop it. Sometimes the video will freeze for a second or two during the recording. What's causing this? Also the video will freeze while the audio continues.
I have about 19 videos saved to my phone. It only does this when the recording is longer than a minute. Is there a fix for this issue?

!)  How much Free Space is available on your Device..? You need a few GBs if editing.

  • Help with Video camera lock ups on K7N2 delta

    hi everyone,
finally got new computer working after formatting and reinstalling windows and the bare minimum of software.
but a small problem arose after drivers from supplied CD Rom installed my Sony DV camera locks up.
i haven't even installed any video editing software yet.
before installing drivers, when i double clicked the camera icon in my computer it gave me access to the camera i.e i could press play on the camera and view it on the computer.
now since the drivers have been installed the message that i get is 'please wait while device initializes'.
then  'program not responding' is displayed.
    my configuration is
    K7N2 delta
    AMD XP2000+
    crucial 512mb PC2700
    Radeon 9200
    belkin firewire card
    trust V92 modem
any help would be much appreciated as the new computer sole purpose is to video edit.
    cheers everyone

I have the same problem and have a very old MoBo 266Pro board, I have a different camera it's a Samsung dp-s103 or something like that, whenever I try to capture some movie the program lock ups and I have to =restart the PC.  I tried taking out the PCI cards and left only the firewire PCI card I was able to capture about 16 minutes of video, but it still locks up.  I will try the latency patch and a bios upgrade.  Will then see how everything turns up.  I've also tried this on an old computer with an Intel chipset, 733Mhz processor and it worked fine, so this must be either a chipset problem or MSI didn't manufacture these board well.
    Best regards
PS.  I think that my new system will be a pure intel one  :(

  • Videos App locks up when trying to view TV Shows through Home Sharing

Both my iPads (1st and 2nd Gen) are doing this. After I select Shared, then the iMac with the library I want, I then click the TV Shows tab at the top of the screen and the Videos App locks up.
This only happens on my iPad. Plays fine through both my Apple TV's.
    Anyone else seeing this?

I have not experienced this running iOS 4.3.5. If your profile is correct you could try updating your iPad iOS. You could also try the basics and see if any of those help. Restart, reset or quit the app.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus (-) sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • Capture locks up when I stop recording....I then have to force quit

Yesterday I was capturing just fine, then I ran out of memory on my hard drive so I moved all my videos to an external hard drive and erased the videos from my hard drive. Now I can start the capture, but when I press the stop/esc button to stop the capture process Premiere pro locks up.
Any ideas, Im working on a macbook pro. When I go to my hard drive and look at the clips I just tried to capture they are there and play just fine ????

Mac has a quirk, no, lets call it a feature, that nothing gets deleted off a harddrive, not with your little animated trashcan or your "secure" erase. Unlike windows which deletes the pointer to the file and then tells the OS that the space is free, mac just deletes the pointers and leaves the files there to consume space without all the hassles of actually having any use. This is one of the many features that come with using a mac, including the ability for mac to randomly delete files (in my case critical project files), which has happened to me many times before.
Theres been many a time where i had to mount a mac drive onto a PC as a logical drive and format from there to actually be able to put anything it, even when i had deleted everything from it on the mac.
    So yeah, theres your problem.

  • I recently bought 2 ipod touches and sometimes the video camera locks up. is this from not enough charge or does anyone else have this problem?

i recntly bought 2 ipod touches and they both seem to lock up in video mode and i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?  is it due to low battery?

It happens sometimes. Try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
If you still have the problem that points to a hardare problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar is in order.

  • Canon video camera & mac?

We received a Canon FS200 video camera...when I plug it into the usb port my mac does not recognize it, & it doesn't appear as an import option in imovie...does Canon make any mac drivers or should we trade this camera in?

OK, I had the same problem. Also the software update with Apple says that your software is up-to-date, but it really is no. Neither Apple or Canon was able to help me much, but I got it finally resolved. Canon does not make any special drivers - the Firewire / USB connection to the Mac becomes your driver. If your Canon camera shows "DV In" on the camera display then the camera is communicating with your computer. You need to "force" your computer in recognize the camera. Here is what you do: Create a new Admin User account on your Mac ( just call it "Temp" with the password "temp" for example) - Make sure to give it 'Admin Privileges' and set you computer to "Display login window as: "List of users" under the Login Options in the bottom left corner of you Accounts window. Then disconnect your Canon camera and all cables from your Mac and turn off the camera and your computer. OK, this is important! -- You MUST connect your Canon camera to its power supply (not just battery) and then turn it to "play mode" not recording, but you don't want to have it actually play anything, just turn your switch to the that 'on' position. Reconnect all your cables and turn on your computer. You will be prompted to log in your accounts - select the 'Temp" account and type in your password. The new login will force the software update and it will actually find a software update for iLife, even though your other login could never find one and you always received the message that your software was up-to-date. Go into iMovie as well and you will find your camera to be connected.

  • Soundtrack locking up when Mixer is plugged in

I have a Behringer UB 1204-Pro that I have used for a few years with SoundTrack Pro. I'm running a 24inch iMac, with 4GB RAM. Never really had any issues before. Lately though I noticed that Sountrack, Quicktime and Logic all three started locking up when trying to record live audio. I took it to the Apple store where they were unable to duplicate the problem. Thinking I must have had to many devices plugged in I unplugged everything except for my keyboard and the mixer from the LINE IN INPUT. Same issues, lockups on all three programs as soon as I tried to access the recording functions. Then I discovered this.....
By unplugging the mixer from the LINE IN INPUT the programs all ran fine. Recorded great and seemingly had no issues at all. As soon as I plugged back in the mixer it would freeze and glitch up. Unplugged again and the program resumed as though nothing was a matter.
I have fixed this issue by switching to another mixer for now, but what could cause this issue? Isn't the LINE IN INPUT accentually just an "ear" that listens for incoming signals? My mixer works fine in the field, passing mixed audio to cameras and recording equipment, but not my iMac. What could be causing this? I'd sure like to know if anyone else has seen this issue and what they did to fix it.
    JH

Do you have any sort of Behringer drivers installed to allow the mixer to interface with your computer? If so, have you checked for updated drivers? Since it was working before and has now stopped working, something has changed. My guess would be that you've upgraded your OS and need to upgrade your drivers as well.

  • Front video camera is not working on my iPad4.

Just recently noticed my front video camera not working when I tried to facetime with a friend.  They cannot see me, and a blank square comes up as our picture.  When I open facetime the screen is just black.  If I open the camera, then switch to video, then switch to front the shutter closes and never opens.
I have tried to restart and also reboot.  Neither have worked.
    Thanks.

Have you tried closing the Camera app via the taskbar and seeing if it works when you re-open the app ? From the home screen (i.e. not with the Camera app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Camera app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.

  • I just downloaded ios 7 and when I'm recording video the camera screen goes black and doesn't record anything. Also in control centre music control doesn't work sometimes. It's been three days.

  • Recording video with locked screen

    Hello!
I bought a motorcycle mount for my iPhone and want to record riding, can it be done with a locked screen so I am not distracted by it?

Sorry I see now I was not being very specific.
What I meant was that I want to start my recording, and then turn my screen off so there is nothing on my screen while I'm driving.
When I slided the camera icon up from lockscreen, started recording, and locked again - it would stop the video like normal.

  • Captivate 5.5 Software simulation video crashes when adding audio recording

I run Windows 7 and Adobe captivate crashes after trying to start a audio recording in software simulation. My simulation is ready and the moment, I click the "record audio" button, the application freezes and I have to go to end the application via Task Manager.
    Solution approaches:
I have started Captivate as administrator and that didn't help.
I have then tried to look up my preferences but didn't find any files which i could identify as preferences.
I have already tried the solution in the Note below (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/759455)
    Help please.
    Thanks,
    A

I am having similar issues, but with the internal speach generator. I have both simulation and demonstration videos. I was able to enter text and convert to Paul's voice without issue, but the minute I tried to add closed captions Captivate totally locked up. And now when I try to do any sort of audio edit, no matter which method of access to the audio (using Audio - Audio Management or Audio - Speech Management or the Add/Edit Audio buttons in the Properties window or using the Closed Caption button in the Slide Notes tab or double click the audio wave file in the Timeline tab) Captivate totally locks up. I was originally able to create 1 file with closed captions but now it also locks up when I try to edit and no other file will let me add CC or use the Audio edit features.
Captivate 5.5, Windows 7; run captivate as admin or not - no difference. Run captivate on my primary or secondary monitor - no difference; run captivate with or without other applications open - no difference.
When I force close using Task Manager I did get a CpDump file that was created. Not sure what to do with that...I submitted a bug but have heard nothing back.
I did follow the steps in the earlier referenced link about deleting the preferences. I also did not find a specific file/folder labeled preferences but my IT group said it was OK to delete the entire final folder in the referenced chain (Captivate 5). Once I did that, I had access to my Closed Captions again and could edit the audio.

  • Macbook pro fails to read sd card with movies recorded on it, any ideas? I can view them in the video camera so know they are there somewhere. I am now thinking I should have formatted or initialised the new card before using it.

My macbook pro is failing to read a new sd card with movies recorded on it. Any ideas please? A previously used SD card has downloaded without problems. I have tried using a card reader as well as downloading from the video camera itself, neither works.
I can view the latest recordings on the video camera so know they are there somewhere. I am now thinking I should have formatted or initialised the new card before using it but didn't think of that at the time. Obviously don't want to do this now as it will wipe the movies.
