P$ system runninf XP Home SP1a. The nVidia WDM video capture will not start. Any suggestions?

Yes. I tried the MGA and the vesa driver and it still goes back to the text login and console. Funny thing is that I can do a video control and change the color of the font - but I get no joy on the graphical interface!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Try removing the SIM and Media Card, then booting up without those. If that goes OK, shut down normally and put the cards back in, and try to boot up again.
Also, how long do you wait at 98%? Sometimes, things are going on while it appears "stuck", but it's not really stuck...we just have to be more patient. But I cannot tell if you waited 30 minutes, 1 minute, or 5 seconds...

Msg: my mobile device will not start

When I connected my IPAD to my PC for updates and use itunes I'm getting a msg that my mobile device cannot start

Are you using a mac or pc?
Is your device being recognized in iTunes?

Video Problem x will not start

Background: I have a STACK of SuperMicro computers with X7SBi-LN4 motherboards. The manual lists the video as ATI ES1000 (which I think is PCI) but the new Motherboard Matrix on the site lists the video as Matrox G200e (which I think is AGP). Lovely. When I do a prtconf I see vendor-id: 102b, device-id: 532 and the vendor-id resolves to Matrox but the device-id does not come up in PCIDatabase.com so I feel unsure about that too - but I did find a reference on a Linux site for a Matrox MGA G200e with a device id 522 rather than the 532 and they had (limited) success with the Xorg MGA driver (it failed memory detection). I have these machines moved into production as text consoles, and admittedly the first thing I do when I get into a machine is bring up a console window and that is where I do my work - but I have some applications that want to run graphically.
Question: I continually get a graphical login failure and it reverts to text mode console no matter what driver I use, MGA or the vesa driver. I suspect it is a mismatch (or missing) vendor/device id. How do I get the graphical login and desktop to run?

After using video capture device to copy VHS to DVD, burnt DVD will play on computer but not on DVD player. Tech support for the VCD said my HP DVD burning software has to burn "DVD Video and not DVD data" and to check with HP. How can i check myself.

I recommend trying CDBurnerXP for burning video CD's. I have been using it for years without a glitch. I use it mainly for burning ISO's, but have used it for all types. Please let us know if it works or not.

Restart your computer. Run iTunes and check for updates. If there is a later version of iTunes available, download and install it. Then try again. If you still cannot see your iPad listed in iTunes make a list of all the things you have tried so that we can see exactly what steps you have taken.

Canon HV30 Returns Video Format provided by capture device is not supported by this application

I am trying to stream our church services using Flash Media Live Encoder 3 using firewire and a Canon HV30 Camera.
I am not understanding how to use my firewire based high def Canon HV30 Camera as the video source device for FLME 3 ? When I hook everything up I get the error "Video Format provided by capture device is not supported by this application". The spec sheet says the HV10 should work.
Is there a work around for this problem.

The error is coming because the camera might be giving HDV format, which is mpeg-2 encoded. FMLE needs raw format to work with. Please configure the camera to give DV out to work with FMLE.

Camera not working (No video capture devices were found)

Macbook air late 2010 upgraded to 10.9.2 camera not detected, it was working 2 minutes before upgrade.
system info states - No video capture devices were found.
I have re-installed 10.9.2 clean using cmd-r on startup,
repaired permissions,
reset SMC
still getting - No video capture devices were found.
anyone got any advice,

Hi,
Ok switched my Macair on to re-install 10.9.1, thought I'd give facetime one last try and its working
So the way I fixed it was to uninstall all 3rd party video driver (like airparrot).
This did not fix problem, booted up holding the Command-R keys.
Re-installed Maverick
Restarted
Camera was still not working
Downloaded latest Skype
Ran Skype - no camera detected in preferences
Repaired permissions using Disk Utility
Left it on for few hours
Restarted next morning, opened Facetime, now everything is working
