Video cards with 2 dvi output ports compatiable with hpe h8-1234

I need a video card that will support 2 dvi monitors and be compatiable with a hpe h8-1234  desktop.  Please help

Hi,
The current video card in your PC will support two DVI monitors. Just use a HDMI to DVI cable with one of the monitors. Your video connection possibilities are: one analog DVI monitor and one digital monitor or two DVI digital monitors.  For best results use two digital monitors.

  • My mini dvi output port is no longer working (2007 iMac) please help!

My mini dvi output port is no longer working, can this be replaced or do I need a new motherboard? (it's a 2007 iMac, no longer under warrantee. Long story short when I was out of town someone cut my power cord on my tv I went to turn the tv on and looked at the back of the tv to see if there was any loose connections and found the cord sliced 3/4 of the way through. I must have bumped the cord and it sparked and made a loud pop noise. Well it fried the tv (which has since been fixed) but everything that was connected to it (my ps3, receiver, and my iMac) ports are all not working now... (and yes i did try new hdmi cables to see if it was just that) If this is a hardware issue what exactly is needed to fix this? A new main board? Any feedback would be great on this. I took it to apple and they said $650 to replace the motherboard... Was just wondering if this port can just be replaced or if it is a part of the main board and that does need replacing. Everything else works fine on all three things (ps3, receiver, imac) just the outputs are fried on them. Is there any other way I can do video out of my iMac other than mini dvi? I'm not paying for the repair so I don't mind having apple replace the board, but for $650... I may as well get a new iMac for $500 more...

If Apple said the motherboard is gone, that's your answer. Even if you were to find out the port isn't part of the main board, it's all connected when you're talking about a power surge/short as you described it. And yes, I'd never invest $650 in a 5 year old computer.

  • MSI NEW P.E. Series Video Card - GTX670 Power Edition 2GD5/OC with Twin Frozr 4

Glad to be back in the forum and I was been busy for awhile. By this time lots of PC hardware already came out especially from Nvidia. Just like today my share would be MSI's N670GTX PE 2GD5/OC video card.
First of all lets talk about the GTX670 GPU chip. This GPU is the younger sibling of GTX680 which uses the same 28nm GK104 chip but with one disabled shader cluster/core.The reference or standard GPU clock is 915Mhz with a turbo boost of 980 and as for the memory is concerned, it has a 256bit memory bus connected to a 2GB GDDR5 memory with speed of 6008Mhz. Just like with any Kepler based architecture, the card would also have all the goodies like "Adaptive V-Sync", "AA TXAA (Temporal Super Sampling)", supports "DX11.1" and improved 3D Vision Surround.
Moving on, let's check out now what MSI did with their GTX670 SKU based video card. The card is under a new Series named "Power Edition" (series comparison table below) and it comes factory overclocked from GPU clock of 915MHz to 1020MHz and Turbo boost of 980Mhz to 1080Mhz. It also comes with the 4th version of Twin Frozr Thermal Cooling design with a theme color of Black and Blue which matches the color of MSI's midrange to high-end motherboards as well. The dual 8cm PWM fan based cooler are equipped with Propeller Fan Blades which draws air better and now has the so called "Dust Removal Technology", basically as you startup your PC the fan will rotate counter clockwise for 30 seconds clearing the dust from the cooling heatsink. Adding a finishing touch, MSI equipped the video card with their Military Class III components ensuring the best performance, efficiency, higher overclocks and durability.

  • Can a mini DVI Display port work with a DVI to HDMI Cable?

I just  bought  a Mini Display Port to DVI Adapter Along with DVI to HDMI Cable for my Mac. I plugged the adapter Into my Imac then I plugged DVI end of the other cable into the adapter when Plugged HDMI connection into my HD TV nothing happened.

I'll second that, you need the > Mini DP to HDMI Adapter - Apple Store (U.S.) and a good HDMI cable.

  • Satellite A305-S6872 - S/P DIF output port (shared with headphone port)

The A305-S6872 manual specifies that I could use the same output port of the headphone  to get the S/PDIF digital sinal.
Can anyone help me to understand what is the right cable to use this output to take the audio digital signal to my home theater (which has a digital coax as input)?
If I use one cable P2 to RCA, the RCA and has 2 plugs (as P2 is stereo) - can I use one of the jacks to plug in the home theater coax digital input?
    Tks for your assistance,
    Best
    Rodrigo

    It's an optical digital out.
You need a optical mini to Toslink cable.
And, of course, a reciever or other decoder with an optical input.
The cable would be like the following:

Oh, and don't overpay for a cable from some big name brand, you're just paying for marketing smoke and mirrors.

  • Problem with the output ports of the data service !!!!! attention

    Hi,
I have created a functional module x using abap programming.
The functional module x with  one input and one  output table. It successfully executed in abap.
Later i activated and used it in  visual composer 7.1 .It worked perfectly fine.
The input port displayed was :Hollow Diamond shape
The output port displayed was: Filled Square shape.
Then i thought of changing the abap program by adding one more input and one more output table.
So i have two inputs and tow output tables.
    The abap program exceuted correctly.
But when i used it in visual composer 7.1 . It didn't work.
    As
The input port displayed was :Hollow Diamond shape ( correct )
The output port displayed was: Filled circle shape.( Not a correct display ).
So i couldn't drag the table output from the circled port.
But When i test the data service then it gives perfect results.
Later i created a new functional module Y with same  two inputs and same two output tables. It worked fine.
Please help me . When ever i add new tables to already activated data service i face the same problem.
    Kindly advice.

  • No Native Res with DVI/HDMI but OK with DVI/VGA cable on Loewe 32" LCD

Hi there, I am a little confused about connecting my mini to my Loewe Individual LCD TV and coudl do with some help.
I purchased a DVI to HDMI cable at enormous cost because my experience of DVI versus VGA is like night and day and I wanted to have the best possible connection to my HD TV.
The problem is that when I connect the mini with the DVI/HDMI cable the native resolution of my TV is not available. (1366x768 or thereabouts) The only resolutions to choose from are 1920 x 1080? and 1024 X 768. Using overscan on the 1024 fills the screen correctly but looks all stretched.
Instead I connected with a VGA cable and the correct resolution is automatically detected immediately and there is no problem at all.
I am a little bit confused as to why it works fine with VGA but not with DVI/HDMI. The VGA connection looks OK but why compromise when you shoudln't have to?

First of all, I am far from an expert but as I said, from my experience and after reading a LOT, HDMI cannot support 1366x768, that is why the TV goes without picture if you try. Why? I don't know.
Now, DVI is almost like VGA, both are analog, and can support 1366x768 or 1920x1200. But since you go from DVI output from the Mac Mini to the HDMI cable, screen goes black, blue, etc, res no supported.
That is why some people don't have problems with the powerbook and their HDTV's, and then they try with the DVI-HDMI adaptor (normally with the mac mini) and it's no good.
The thing is, you can get 720p, 1280x720 but with overscan, so with DisplayconfigX you go from:
    1280x720 (720p)
    128 Front Porch 10
    80 Sync 5
    200 Back Porch 15
    1688 Total 750
    to
    1240x680
    128 Front Porch 19
    80 Sync 5
    240 Back Porch 38
    1688 Total 750
for example, with this setup you get the image cut to a minimum.
As you can see the totals are in both cases 1688 750. As soon as you don't respect this totals, like in this example:
    1366x768
    28 Front Porch 5
    80 Sync 5
    40 Back Porch 15
    1514 Total 793
your TV won't be able to dispay the image. But with VGA the totals don't matter!!!!, that is why it works with one cable and not with the other.
Apple should update the Intel graphic card drivers, maybe that would help.

  • Connecting 3 displays when video card has only 2 ports?

I have a 2009 Mac Pro quadcore with only two display ports on my video card.  Is it possible to hook up a 3rd display using an external USB video cards?  I haven't been able to get my Mac Pro to recognize the one that works with my Macbook Pro.  FYI, this is what I'm talking about: http://www.iogear.com/product/GUC2020DW6/

For another 50 bucks you could add a "real" card that has some hope of actually performing for you:

or for another 150 bucks you could replace your current card with a 5770 (but you would have to upgrade to 10.6.7)

  • Photoshop CS4 Video Card? - Need Display Port

You folks have been terrific in helping me with this project. For those that have not seen my previous messages, I am building a computer for a friend who uses Photoshop CS4 exclusively for 2D photo work. That's all he uses his computer for, so nothing else matters.
After a lot of research and some help from you, I found the "perfect" video card. The only problem is, it doesn't have a Display Port.
PROBLEM: None of the "tested" NVidia cards on the Adobe CS4 list you guys referred to have Display Ports!
Now what? With CS4's reputation for being persnickety, do we hazard buying a card not on the list?
The list was just updated in mid-January...and had not been in a while. It may be a long time before it is updated again.
As always, thanks in advance for any piece of advice or information you can offer me.
    Chuck

Zeno I see you are very active in this forum. Let me thank you for sharing your knowledge so unselfishly.
Several of the NVidia FX models do have the Display Port. They are just not "tested."
My hesitation with buying another brand stems from the "partnership" I have read about between Adobe and NVidia.
I'm technically astute enough to put this computer together, but not enough to trouble-shoot serious compatibility problems. I want the "right" card, but I want to make as "safe" a choice as possible.
    Thanks again.

  • Video card for HDMI output?

    Hey guys,
We've got an old PowerPC G5 in the office that we'd like to set up for viewing HD footage on an HDTV. I know that there are DVI to HDMI adapters out there, and that's ideally the route we'd like to go. Unfortunately, we also need dual monitor support on this machine. Are there any hardware options available on this older machine that will give us what we need? i.e., can a machine support two video cards?
    Specs
    Dual 2GHz PowerPC G5
    14GB DDR2 SDRAM
    OSX 10.5.8
    Currently installed card: GeForce 6600LE
Thanks so much for your help guys!

Hi Joe, and a warm welcome to the forums!

  • Which Video Card will Work out of Box with P7-1240 Desktop with Win 7-64bit & AMD A10-5700 CPU?

    Hi Folks,
I'm new here and have already searched for solutions.  I have P7-1240 Desktop purchased new in June 2012 with Jasmine MSI-MS-7778 motherboard, AMD A10-5700 quad core, 10 MB ram and Windows 7 64-bit.  I'm trying to install a graphics board so my son can play some games that he currently must play on low resolution using the integrated graphics.
I updated my PSU to 600 watt Corsair and tried GTX 750 Ti and GTX-660 cards to no avail (the computer won't boot past HP splash screen).  I've also tried AMD Radeon R7-265 card but couldn't even boot to the HP splash screen.  As I understand, HP offers no BIOS updates for Windows 7 (I read here that one guy loaded a BIOS update for Windows 8 on his Windows 7 machine and it worked, but I am too chicken to try that).
I just want to put this issue to rest.  So my question is simply this:  Does anybody know of ANY graphics card series that will definitely work OUT-OF-THE-BOX in my machine with the stock BIOS and PCI-Exp 16 Gen 2 slot?  I was going to try a GTX 500-series card next.  But I wanted to get some advice first, since I won't be able to return it if it doesn't work.
    Thank you!

    Hi,
Graphics card compatibility with the BIOS levels in PCs is not the only factor.  PCI-E slot version compatibility both upwards and downwards would be another factor.  Manufacturers will at times view standards differently and hence design their graphics cards to function differently compared to the same card being made by a different manufacturer.  Manufacturers may also design graphics cards to only work with their motherboards.  Bottom line is that not every graphics card will work in every PC.

  • Help needed with audio output (Mackie controller with Motu interface)

    Hello,
I have booked my university's recording studio for the day and am having a complete nightmare! There's no engineer around...
I'm not getting any main level out of my Motu 828mk3. Logic is talking to my Mackie interface (Universal Pro, 8 channel digi mixer) fine, and but when I try and play (or record) anything there doesn't seem to be a level. On the Motu the 'out 1&2' LEDs light up, which makes me think that something is being received, but that isnt manifesting into an output. Interestingly, iTunes (routed through the same Motu) works and comes out of the speakers. All the Audio Preferences settings in Logic are set to the Motu.
Can anyone offer any suggestions? We have already wasted the entire morning trying to get a sound out of the speakers!
    Thanks,
    John

The question you need to ask is: why do you need a midi in/out? Do you want to connect your keyboard to it? I run my keyboard through USB and that works just fine.
Do you already have speakers? Because that seems to be missing here. Also, if you want to record yourself you'll probably need some headphones.
I don't know what your budget is (one mans low budget is the others mans highest, so..), but you can get some decent speakers and headphones for not too much money. But just know this, it's often better to save a little bit more instead of buying everything cheap and wanting to upgrade everything next year.

  • Apple Multiple Scan 1705 - usable with modern video cards?

I still have an old Apple Multiple Scan 1705 display which I've been using continuously since ~1995. Even though I don't have a Mac anymore (I know, I know, mea culpa), I hooked it up to my PC and it has worked great. But, I recently received a newer hand-me-down PC from my sibling. It didn't come with a monitor, but I thought that would be OK as I could just switch the monitor from my old system to the new system.
As it turns out, it's not that easy. When I boot it up, the monitor goes blank after POST, usually between the XP screen and the welcome screen. Sometimes I can actually get as far as seeing the desktop, but the screen usually goes blank before I can navigate anywhere. It works fine in safe mode, though. From what I've read on the Web, this would appear to be an "infinite loop" problem, where the OS and the video card stop speaking to each other.
I may be on a fool's errand here, trying to combine a PC video card (an NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS) with an Apple monitor which is ten years older than it. I've done some basic troubleshooting, such as reinstalling the video card drivers and visually inspecting the hardware and connections. But I wonder if it is even possible for the two to communicate properly. For the record, I'm running Windows XP SP3. Has anyone else been foolish enough to try this?
My girlfriend hates the bulkiness of this old CRT monitor and wants to get a flat panel anyway, but while I save up for that, it would be nice to be able to use the new computer with the old monitor. Even if it won't work, I've gotten 13 years of use out of the monitor, so I certainly got my money's worth. But I thought I'd check with the community and see if there's any life left in the old display.
    Thanks for your help!

In Windows XP, in order to change the resolution for the monitor, you have to right-click on the desktop and select "Properties". This bring up "Display Properties". From there, you click the "Settings" tab. This gives you some basic options. For a wider selection of resolutions and refresh rates, click on the "Advanced" button. Then select the "Adapter" tab and press the "List All Modes" button. This lists all the available configurations for resolution, refresh rate, and colors. I fiddled around with these, trying all of the configurations that were supposed to work according to the Apple Multiple Scan 1705 specs. Unfortunately, anything other than VGA 640x480 60Hz would cause a "blue screen of death".
My girlfriend had indicated that she wanted to get a flat panel display anyway (to get back some of that desk real estate), so I decided to cut my losses and buy a new monitor. Unfortunately, I now have the exact same problem with the new monitor. So, it seems the problem is not with the monitor after all. Or, at the least, that's not the only problem. Once I resolve what other hardware/software issue is going on, I'll see if the 1705 display will work. But for practical purposes, you can consider this question resolved.
Thanks for entertaining my obscure question.

  • Is the FX5200-T128 video card compatible with an Athlon 64 CPU and a K8N mobo?

I am building a new computer based on the Athlon 64 3000 processor and the mobo MSI K8N Neo-FSR.
I intended to use MSI MS-8907 GeForce FX5200-T128 as the video card.
However I have been told that this video card might not be compatible either with the Athlon 64 processors or with the mobo MSI K8N Neo-FSR.
    Is it compatible or not?
If it's not compatible, what is the cheapest MSI video card compatible with the Athlon 64 and the K8N?
Thank you in advance for your help.

If it's there, it means they at least inserted the card, booted, and installed drivers, as far as what they do from that point is anyones guess. You will see the far right column shows 4x or 8x.
I agree, it is minimal info at best and not my idea of what should be included in a test report.
I don't see any reason why that card would not work, the market is saturated with that type of card.

  • Is the new GMA X3100 144 MB with 4 GB RAM better than 128 MB video card?

    Hello,
I am trying to decide on buying the new MacBook with the GMA X3100 video card or an older MacBook Pro with 128 MB video card, or possibly even the 256 MB video card if I can find a good deal.
I was thinking if I put 4 GB of ram in the new MacBook the shared memory would be fine and I would get some good usage out of the computer.
I will be using this computer for Adobe CS3 Web PRemium, photoshop, dreamweaver etc.
I also want to use Final Cut Studio 2 on this computer, and I know that it will not work as efficiently as my iMac 2.4 with 4 GB ram with 256 MB video card, but I mostly want to work on Motion videos and a little final cut pro 6 editing.
So, what are your thoughts guys? I have looked through the forums and haven't found the exact information I am looking for.
Any information you need from me?

Anyone else have experience with this topic?
I am looking for tests done or some other form of information. I have been searching for benchmarking tests with no luck for my question of 4 GB of RAM on new 2.2 ghz macbook with 144 mb shared video card compared to macbook pro with 128 or 256 video card separate.
