Video Clip Framerate Wrong In Premiere

So I have a super weird issue that I spent 2hrs trying to figure out last night, and am now here making a post. So I recorded a video of my iPad screen and audio which has a playback of 60FPS in Quicktime, VLC, or any other media viewer. But when I import into Adobe Premiere Pro (with the sequence set to 60FPS) it is EXTREMELY choppy; when doing a right click "properties" on the clip in premiere it says like 10.25FPS)
Any idea of how to fix this? Thank you in advance!

  • Unable to upload entire video clip to Youtube from Premiere Elements 10, "Share" feature

    Hi all,
I just bought Premiere Elements 10 and plan to upload video to Youtube directly from Premiere Elements 10 "Share" feature. However it always uploaded about 10 to 20 seconds of my 2 minutes video only. Then it only uploded about 20 seconds video to Youtobe successfully but not the entire video clip which is about 2 minutes.  Is there anyone face the same problem like me? Please help me on this matter. Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Ellie

    John,
The WAB (Work Area Bar) has tripped up many, and is a common issue, when the Timeline output is truncated.
Here is a look at the WAB (from PrE 4.0, but works the same in later versions):
The WAB is a great tool, when one wishes to limit the Export, or perhaps the area of the Timeline that Renders. However, many do not even notice it, and fewer understand how it works, or how to use it, and it gets in their way, if something is not set properly.
To the OP - Good luck,

  • Audio in/out positions of video clip are wrong in metadata

If I highlight a clip and "display in project" then display that in Source, and  "go to in", CS5.5 is wrongly telling me where the clip fromt he source material begins within the source.. it's like 8 minutes off at least. This project was imported via XL from FCP on a Mac, wondering if that wuold have anything to do with it...

The only thing I understand is MAC, off, FCP and these terms do not bode well. For the rest is can only be attirbuted to those terms or OE irrespective of what you mean.
8 minutes is meaningless for an invalid snail using FCP on a MAC with everything turned off with material that is not really material at all, so what are you complaining about? If this is yes, then why not? Everything makes perfect sense if you do not want to know what is going on, and then it is utterly logical, unless you do not understand what is illogical to start with and you understand that not understanding is a form of understanding that is logical to comprehend the illogical, or something like this...

  • Cannot insert  video clip source in adobe premiere cs5

I've been working on a large documentary piece. Have been using the insert button in the source window successfully for some time.
Was adding footage from a friend who used a Sony HD camcorder. Clip plays and editts but was able to insert only one edit.  Now all clips are unable to insert.
I can drag and drop the editted segments into the timeline but is not as effective as the insert button.
What can I do to fix this?

    Jim,
Knocking my head over this I have seen that this is a problem occurring with user problems on the net not only to me. I found that when I opened a copy of the file from another drive I was able to insert without a problem. UNTIL! I had to replace 3 video inserts because I moved the files to another folder. I wanted to add another insert to the timeline track I just replaced and again no video insert function.
Targeted track meaning the A is greyed on the track I am working on , is this correct?   I am unfamiliar with the term patch but will now search help.
I do hope this can be resolved, dropping into the timeline, though works will complicate my flow tremendously.
I thank you for any help you can send my way.

  • File Properties Length does not match rendered video clip

I have Premiere Elements 8. I decided I did not want to use audio in some of my video files, so I unchecked audio in the Advanced tab given under the section in SHARE which indicates Presets, File Name, and Save in. I rendered a 720p file with audio unchecked, which played fine in Windows Media Player. Then I decided to put it in another software program I have and noticed that the file did not play until the end. I discovered that the Windows file length listed in the Details of the file (which also appears on the information given about a file that is displayed on the screen when Details is selected in the Windows Explorer listing for the file). The length listed is shorter than the actual length of the video clip as given in Premiere Elements timeline and sceneline views. Because of the incorrect listing in the details of the rendered file, my other software only incorporates the video clip up until the length listed in Windows Explorer for the video file. This does not happen when I leave audio checked in the Advanced tab. But remember, I don't want to use the audio. Yes, I can trick the software with the length if I add "extra video" to my project, but I really do not want to do that. Can anyone help?

Thanks, very much, for the information. It worked! I just had to delete audio as you suggested. I should add that I had to do this for each segmented video clip on the timeline.

  • Missing Visuals in video clips (Adobe Premiere Elements 10)

When I load up my video editting program (Adobe Premiere Elements 10) everything appears fine.
It's only when i try to load a video into the program that things go buggy.
The Video Clip appears on the timeline. The Audio works perfectly fine. However, the video, or image for that matter doesn't appear in the "viewing screen" (can't think of the right word
If I add a video effect to the clip (for example, Auto Color) then the picture becomes visible.
But, when I then render the clip, the picture disappears once again.
I'm no expert with computers or programs so i am pretty lost on what's wrong.
The last time I used the program (which was about a week before New Years Eve, 2013)  it was working perfectly fine. I've used the program for the past year with little to no problems, so I am baffelled as to why this has happened now.
Any kind of help would be really appreseated
I even still have the original disc I bought when i first installed the program, so if i need to uninstall then reinstall the program it will be eailly done..
Thanks in advanse for you help

Along with the Intel Graphics there is something called "NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M"
    nothing more then that.
That is probably at the core of your problems, and we need to explore this. My take on this is that you have 2 things going on here.
    1. There is an epidematic of display problems targeted specifically at the Premiere Elements 10 user whose computer uses a NIVIDIA video card. (You have Premiere Elements 10 and one of your video cards is NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M.)
Typically the drill is to have the version of the video card driver up to date. In this case, the fix is to roll back the driver version far enough not to have the display problem. Neither NVIDIA nor Adobe has not stepped forward to correct the situation.
Check out the following link to see what you are up against regarding the NVIDIA side of things.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1317675
    2. On the other side of things, you have an integrated Intel Graphics card as well as the NVIDIA. There can be conflicts when two video cards/graphics cards are involved (independant of the NIVIDIA issue). Typically you see disabling of the integrated card, in your case the Intel Graphics. But, I am not sure where that would lead stability wise.
You could look at both areas and see if you have displays gains for one or the other. I would look at rolling back the NVIDIA first.
Please review, and then we can discuss this further.
    Thanks.

  • Error message in Premiere 12 on Windows 7 when reordering video clips

I am using Premiere 12 on my PC using Windows 7. I have done a substantial amount of editing already but every time I go to re-order my video clips an error message pops up and priemere shuts down. When I trouble shoot the problem it says there is an incompatibility issue. Help! What should I do? I don't want to lose the work I have already done.

    jordyne
Please give more details on the message regarding incompatibility? Please give exact wording of message.
What exactly are you doing with the "re-order" of the video clips? Is this the only Timeline activity that triggers this message and/or program shutdown?
How large is the project when this issue occurs?
Are you working with the AutoSave feature On? See Edit Menu/Preferences/AutoSave.
Please consider and then we can decide what next.

I'm a new user and learning, I bought and installed Premiere Pro cs6.  I got a nice video clip but has a baby cried in the background and very annoying.  I have tried all of the sounds in Prem cs6 but didn't work. My question is, do I need to get a separate sound software download and install to be able to use it?

In the CS versions, there was some audio capability in PrPro but you needed to get a separate audio program for major work. Lessening a baby definitely qualifies as major work. That's lessening, i dont mean eliminating. Adobe's audio program is Audition. There are others "out there'. In the CC versions one just downloads Audution also.

  • Premiere Elements 3.0_stops inserting video clips?

Hi I hope someone can help me out here. When I'm adding mini video clips, it stops after a point which is no where near even half a dvd let alone a full one, and says 'adobe system memory low', cannot add any more save project.
What gets me is that my PC is has plenty of gb memory on it, do I need to do something in settings so it will take more video clips?  Its really frustrating, my husband bought me this as a 40th present 2 years ago and I haven't been able to create a finished dvd properly because what I want to create is stopped by premiere with this system low, save project message, there is no way near the amount of clips I could get onto a dvd.  Any ideas please???  Thanks

First, have you update your version 3 with the version 3.02 patch? This is very important -- especially if you are working on a system running other than Windows XP.
Second, I'm not quite clear where things are failing for you. Are you saying you're capturing miniDV over FireWire and that the program won't capture any further? If not, what type of camcorder is your video coming from and how are you getting it into your computer?
How fast is your processor, how much RAM do you have and how much free space is left on your C drive? Are you capturing your video to your C drive or to another drive?
You will likely need at least 20-30 gigs of free space on your C drive -- and it's very important that this drive be freshly defragmented. Fragmentation can cause the very symptoms you're describing, since the program need large chunks of free hard drive space for its paging and scratch files.

  • How can I raise the volume on a video clip in Premiere Elements 12?

Always good to give the computer operating system involved in case any computer specific details needed to be included. But here is your
generalized yet specific answer for Premiere Elements 12 and increasing the volume of a video clip.
If you are in the Expert workspace...
    a. click and drag upward the orange band that runs horizontally through the middle of the audio clip.
    or
    b. go to Adjust Tab/Adjustments Palette/ Volume Panel expanded on move the volume slide toward +6 dB.
0 db does not represent no sound. It represents the volume of the sound when it was recorded. 0 to +6 dB increases the sound above the recording level; 0 to infinity symbol decreases the sound below the recording level, finally to muted sound.
Please let us know if you are OK with the details above. My blog post on PE12: Audio Features may be useful to you.

  • I have old video clips in Photoshop Elements Organizer v12 for Mac.  I want to divide some of those clips in Organizer.  I can do that in Premiere Elements 12 and save them as "Projects" - but how do I get the divided clips back into Organizer?

I have old video clips in Photoshop Elements Organizer v12 for Mac.  I want to divide some of those single clips into 2 or 3 separate clips, each shown separately in Organizer.  I can divide the clips in Premiere Elements Editor 12 and save them as "Projects" - but I can't find any way to get those divided clips back into Organizer.  Does anyone know whether that can be done?  Many thanks for your thoughts.

What about Google Drive? And just share the folder with the family members.

  • Premiere 6.02 - can't import video clips from a different editing program

If anyone has an answer I would really appreciate it. I am using Premiere 6.02 and XP. I have a 80 GB hard drive, 256 mb ram, and 1.7ghz. I have about 9 minutes of footage that I captured on MGI's videowave 4, which came bundled with my computer from Dell. It seems that I have to import the entire 9 minute clip from videowave into premiere to be able to edit it with premiere. I have been able to carefully make a few very broad edits of this 9 minutes in my premiere timeline, however, everytime I try to open it up I can't even make a single move before premiere is not responding and it has to close down. Is there anyway around this so I can utilize this 9 minutes by adding audio tracks, fades, and specific cuts? I have to be able to use this footage. Any suggestions would be great. Also, are there any chat rooms that exist where people discuss troubleshooting issues with premiere? Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Thanks for the help. I'm in a bit of a tough situation right now.Again I have xp with 1.7 ghz, 256 mb ram, and 2 hard drives ( 40 gb and 80gb) with approx. 75 gigs free space. I'm trying to save about 12 minutes offootage that i captured with videowave 4 from being totally useless. I know you suggested to me that i convert from avi 1 files (videowave) to avi 2files (the only files premiere 6.0 accept apparently). I haven't been able to find anywhere online that has the software to do that with. My other alternative, considering the original footage on my camera has long since been erased, is to export from videowave to my camera and then import that footage into premiere and then i would be set. I wish I could. I couldn't get videowave to recognize how to "produce video" so I uninstalled and reinstalled. Now I am able to get all the way to the point where I'm simply supposed to choose "output to dv" under the output menu. When I click the dropdown menu the only option available is "full screen", which I tried anyway. It does play the footage on full screen, but it certainly doesn't capture the footage to my camera. I've looked everywhere on the videowave web site and their solutions are brief, difficult to understand, and inconclusive. Oh, something that sounds like a problem is when I reinstalled videowave it said something about missing a indeo codec. I looked for it in my video codec properties and found a couple of versions, but what I gathered from online research was that I might need indeo codec xp 5.2 (seeing as how I'm running xp) which costs $15. I thenlooked onlineto find that codec for free somewhere to no avail. HELP!!!! THANKS!!

I wrongly erased photos and video clips, can I retrieve them?

Depends on how do you want to do it. If you store your backups with iCloud - try in your iPad's preferences. If you keep your stuff on your computer - plug your iPad in and launch iTunes, the photos should be there.
