Video clips appear black once downloaded from Samsung L200???

Hello out there-
Every time I download photos and video from my Samsung L200 Camera I can see the photos but not the video clips. If I click the cursor over the video, it plays the audio but the screen is blacked out. Please help me view the entire video clip!

So, I am having the same trouble viewing video clips after downloading them from the Samsung L200. I tried downloading Perian, but it didn't work. I also found that someone downloaded both Perian and Flip for Mac, and that the both of those together worked. I too tired downloading Flip for Mac and Perian, but that didn't work either. I don't know what else to do. Any ideas?

Cannot recall the full line-up of Effects in Pr 6.5, but you should have the fixed Effect>Motion>Scale, which will allow you to resize the Clip. You might need to use Motion>Position in addition. Basically, you will doing a PiP (Picture in Picture), with no Clip below, just the black showing.

HELP! i created a movie with pictures and inserted clips from video I taped, then added music. It publishes and I made a dvd.revised this and during it, got error, now the video clips go black although I see the clips. WHAT to do??

After I upgraded the Imovie to the latest vesion, II started getting errors and it would boot me out. I see the movie clips but when it plays or previews its a a black screen, althought you can hear the backgorund music I added. I have reimported thefile clips and they will play in edit mode but when re insert the same clips they still play black.. how do i get this to work!?!

ps when syncing it jumps through steps 1 - 4 real fast, i seem to remeber iphone showing the number of tracks transferring and names, but i see nothing? then it sits on 5 saying "waiting for changes to be applied"

Final Cut Pro X exports video clip as black

Hi Everyone,
I have a big problem, I'm trying to export a project with many HD clips, the first of which is the only one being shot as AVCHD on a Sony DSLR and converted to .mov by Voltaic HD because otherwise I can't import it in Final Cut Pro X. The rest of the clips are directly imported from another camera, no conversion.
The first clip (the one I had to convert) plays and gets edited fine within FCPX, but after I export the whole project, all the part that had that clip is just black picture with no sound. My titles, photos in the meantime are still there, but otherwise all black until the next clips show up.
The sources clips are hd1080p but I'm trying to export the project as 720p. My FCPX version is 10.0.9. I've edited videos from the same source and conversion before and never had this problem.
So now I just took the same single clip into a new project and exported it at 720p and there it just works fine ... Arrrghh!! How can I fix this?

I am having an almost identical problem:
Trying to export (doesn’t matter to what: Master File, Apple Device, etc. all lead to the same result) the project I am working on is producing a black screen with no audio (for the length of the project) – only the start and end titles get rendered.
The project plays fine in FCP X 10.0.9; the initial screen on the export dialog produces a correct looking screenshot (with both the picture and title visible), and predicts realistic sizes for the export file, which ends up being tiny by comparison.
Other projects with a similar workflow are exporting fine: basically I have shot a couple of concerts, and each project is one song with start and end credits and some color correction, stabilization, etc.
The source was 1080P video from a Canon SLR 5D Mark III, and it is being exported to 1080P -- however, I don't think that's relevant, because video from the same source to the same export files worked fine before - FCP X can obviously handle the format involved.
I tried deleting the FCP X preferences -- didn’t help. I had already tried deleting the render files.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

How to make iPhoto video clips appear in iMovie 11 under "iPhoto Videos"

I use photo camera to shoot both stills and videos these days. I would like to just see all my clips in iMovie.
I tried to use Import but it is very painful to use as iMovie PRETENDS it knows nothing about iPhoto photo library. So monkying around and drugging clips out of iPhoto "bundle" is huge hustle.
Is there is a streamline way?
Apple historically make hard to do, I even had to use iMovie HD and Handbreak to to all these conversion, but I just want things to work: I want to make a cool clip to share from my iPhoto library clips.
Is there is a easy way to do it?

Normally, any compatible clips in iPhoto show up in iMovie in the Events Library under the category "iPhoto Videos". You will see this item at the top of the list in the Events Library. Clicking on it will reveal thumbnails for each clip in the Events Browser (to the right of the listing). Are you not seeing this?
If this is not the issue, you could try converting the iPhoto clips by using a program such as MPEG Streamclip. If recognised by Streamclip, convert the clips to either H.264 or AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec) and import the converted file into iMovie. Both these formats work well with iMovie - AIC is in fact the codec that iMovie converts AVCHD clips to in order to edit efficiently at the individual frame level.

AVI files are black during download from my Casio EX-Z750

they will play audio with Quicktime 7 but no video just a white screen. Downloaded Divx to no avail. In iPhoto they show as a movie but are black also. Anyone has an issue with this? Latest version of Quicktime and all the lastest patches and updates on the Mac.......

Is this camera new or were you able to download and play movies before? If it's the latter did you run any updaters of any sort before this problem began. Also try playing them with VLC (you can get it from VersionTracker.com).

HT3775 AVI's appear green once converted from AVI to Quicktime

Dear Apple Tzar's,
Having recently become as Mac user, I recently purchased iSkySoft Video convertor so that I could convert my library of avi movies (that I use for medical teaching) into Quicktime.
Weirdly some of the movies I convert work beautifully, while others convert so that all can be seen is a large green blanket of nothingness.

Anyway, the camera only came with a Windows disk. Per the manufacturer, it doesn't need mac drivers, and the windows drivers are only for the web cam function (which i don't use.)
The camera is formatted under FAT32 (Windows) format. I couldn't run permissions repair. I did do a repair disk under disk utility. Still having the issues.
I tried iMovie. I can import the avi file from the camera, and it works!!!!
So it would appear that there's a bad codec in QT/Perian/VLC?

My android tablet won't play videos in a PDF after downloading from flash archive

I downloaded an interactive PDF and there is a video on the last page that won't play on my tablet, but plays on my computer. I downloaded the latest version of Flash from the adobe archives, as well as an updated reader. Any ideas on what I can do to make the video play?

You cannot use Flash content in PDFs on Android, even if you manage to install the obsolete Flash for Android from somewhere. It just isn't supposed to work.

Mac mail won't delete or organize messages once downloaded from icloud.

I am having issues with icloud and mac mail where once my mail downloads I can't delete messages or organinze them on my mac. I have to go to icloud to delete messages. If I delete them on my mac they just reappear again later. If I put them in my organizing folders in my mail then they get moved back to my inbox later. How do I get this fixed?

Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
A folder window will open. Inside it there should be files with names as follows:
          Envelope Index
          ExternalUpdates.storedata
Move those files to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have longer names that begin as above. Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is damaged and that Mail has to quit. ClickOK. Typically, the process takes a few minutes, but it may take hours if you have gigantic mailboxes. In that case, you may be able to speed things up by temporarily adding your home folder to the Privacy list in the Spotlight preference pane. Remove it when Mail has finished importing.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the files you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results.

HT201302 I can't find my photos or videos on my pc after downloading from my iphone

I'm not good with technology so apologise now if this is a topic which has already been answered here. I've recently bought and have started using the iphone, and am loving the whole capturing video footage etc. I've synced to my laptop 'Compaq' and thought I had successfully downloaded my photo's and videos, but can't seem to find them despite also having the latest version of itunes on my laptop. I've looked in all the relevant folders (I think!) such as My Documents, Music, Videos, Pictures as well as itunes but can't find them. I've disabled the security code on my phone to allow downloads to take place. If you can help, then please message back?

Two video clips appear as different sizes

I captured two different clips, and on the capture one is a smaller picture, while the other is a full screen picture. What did I do wrong, or how can I fix it?
This is on Adobe Premiere CS5. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What are the dimensions of both clips (in pixels)?
Where are you seeing this problem? In the Source Monitor or the Program Monitor?
If the clips have different dimensions and you have to use them in the same sequence, then your best bet will be to have the sequence settings match the smaller clip and then scale the larger one to fit the smaller sequence. That's because scaling video up results in noticeable pixelation whereas scaling down looks pretty clean. If the larger clip is also a different aspect ratio than the smaller one (like 16:9 vs 4:3), then you'll probably want to scale it so that the height of the frame fills the screen, which will mean that the edges will be cropped.

TS3719 No video clips appear in the iMovie browser. iPad mini software is updated to iOS 7.0.2, iMovie version is 1.4.2

I restarted both iPad and iPhone5. Uninstalled/reinstalled the app.

a quick update, I turned off all security software on my windows desktop and tried this 'Restore' process via iTunes again and it appears to be processing....what an unbelievable PITA
