Video compatibility with older Acrobat versions

Hi,
I am attempting to send a PDF with an embedding video using Acrobat X Pro.
While it works on my machine, and others with Acrobat 9, the client is struggling to view the video.
I'm guessing they may not have an updated version -
a) How far back does Video support go within Acrobat versions?
b) Can I save a PDF back without losing the video support?

Rich Media Annotations (of the type created by Acrobat X when inserting a video, SWF or 3D file) are supported by Acrobat and Adobe Reader 9 and later on desktop platforms (Windows and Mac OS X). They are not supported by earlier versions, nor on mobile devices.
The ability to create 'legacy' media, which was viewable in earlier desktop versions of Adobe Reader, has been removed from Acrobat X for security reasons.

I created a dynamic form with adobe lifecycle 9. As users try to use the form, they get this error:
"This PDF form requires a more recent version of Adobe® Reader® or Adobe Acrobat® software. While this form may appear to be working, some elements may not function correctly or may not appear at all."
Is there a way to make the form be compatible with older adobe versions?

In the File Menu -> Form Properties under Default Tab, choose the Target Version of Adobe Reader that you expect users to have the minimum version.
If any of the functionality does not compatible with the selected version, then the warnings will be displayed under report tab. You can access it by going to Window menu -> Report.

Also, you are in for major display problems with Premiere Elements 10 on a computer that uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card/graphics card.
There the fix is to roll back the driver version to May 2013 in order to get Premiere Elements 10 to function properly.

Acrobat 7 is not supported with Windows 8 , but you can go ahead and try if it works ...
Otherwise you need to upgrade to latest version which is supported by Win 8

Files Created in Photoshop CC Not Compatable With Older Versions of Photoshop?

I have heard that the new Photoshop CC uses a new file system that is not compatible with older versions of Photoshop so you can only edit them in the new Cloud version of Photoshop CC. Is this true?

i opened a fine in PSCS 13.1.2.I edited it a bit, converted a layer to a SO and used liquify on that layer.
I saved it as a tiff. Did not try it as a psd.
PSCS5 opened the tiff without complaint, including the SO+liquified layer. When i clicked on the liquify at bottom of the SO layer to try to edit it I got the notice "CANNOT FIND THE FILE", or something like that.
So, I guess pscs5 is already done for.

You should be able to install Visual Studio 2015 alongside 2013 and 2010. However, I'd advise against it until the release version of Visual Studio 2015 becomes available. There may be issues down the road upgrading the preview version of VS 2015 with the final
retail version.

HT201314 I want to remove older updates from APP Store update page that will not install because they are not compatable with my OS Version 10.8.5

There are a couple of updates on my APP STORE page that are extremely annoying, they can't be installed because they are to old for my OSX version 10.8.5, I want to delete or remove them so that Spotlight stops telling me that I have 2 updates to install, when they can't be installed unless I revert to an older OS version.

Need to reduce `target-player` to support users with older Flash versions?

Right now we are currently compiling ZeroClipboard using the Flex 4.6 SDK, which has a minimum (and default) "target player" version of 11.1. I am uncertain if this is preventing users with Flash 10.x from utilizing ZeroClipboard but the documentation I found related to this certainly suggests that may be the case:
Use the target-player compiler option to specify the version of Flash Player that you want to target with the application. Features requiring a later version of Flash Player are not compiled into the application.
One reason for setting the target Player version is if you are unsure of Player usage penetration rates and want to choose a Player version that is lower than the most recent one. Another reason is if your users are locked in to a particular Player version, such as when they are on an intranet and cannot upgrade.
If users with older versions of Flash (i.e. 10.x) cannot use ZeroClipboard because of this, I would've expected more bug reports on it by now. However, as Adobe is pretty good about pushing Flash Player updates out, perhaps most users have already upgraded to 11.x.
Can anyone confirm or reject this hypothesis? Obviously our goal would be to support as many realistic user configurations as possible (i.e. support both Flash Player 10.x and 11.x with a single SWF).

Just to add to this thread the links I posted in the other one:
I can't speak to anecdotes like parents' or friend's computers, but in general Flash Player 10 is extremely widely available -- installed on over 95% of the world's desktops & laptops. There are more people still using IE 6 than there are people lacking FP 10. Even in enterprises, which tend to upgrade very slowly, FP 10 is probably on well over 75% of computers by now.
Catalyst projects truly require Flex 4, which truly requires FP 10... there's not much getting around that. If you absolutely must support FP 9, one option is to use Catalyst purely as a mockup/prototyping tool (for user testing, client/executive approval of designs, etc.) and then build the final app from scratch in Flex 3. You won't be able to directly reuse most of the material you created in Catalyst, but it can still be a valuable tool in this workflow -- we've heard from many people that Catalyst lets them create mockups far more quickly than tools they've used in the past.

CS6 compatibility with older macs (2007-2008), using Mavericks 10.9

I've heard about compatibility issues with older macs (2007-2008) when trying to run Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection CS6 with Mavericks 10.9. Right now I'm using CS6 on my existing mid-2007, with Mountain Lion, -works great, and I'm worried if I upgrade to Mavericks there may be problems (based on FAQs)
I do lots of video editing/rendering and am looking into getting another back-up computer to speed up editing time. I'm looking at purchasing an older Apple Mac Pro Tower : 2008 : Xeon 8-core 2.8ghz : 16gb ram : 1TB hd. Will this run Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection CS6 if I'm using Mavericks 10.9? If not, why?
Does the issue pertain to Mavericks with older macs, or is it CS6 with Mavericks, or what? Thanks!

Starting up with older OS version?

I have a quick stupid question. I'm debating this with someone, and the question is, is it OK to start up a G5 tower that is running Tiger with an CD that contains an older version of the OS on it? He says we should not do that, and I say that's hogwash.
You may ask the purpose of starting up. The purpose is solely to run Disk First Aid from the DVD. The computer has corrupted something, and the intention was to run the first aid, and not to try to install anything.

You can safely run Disk Utility or Disk First Aid on a machine (likely you mean Disk Utility's Repair Disk feature - Disk First Aid was used on older OS versions) if the disk you are booting from is of the same major release as the OS you have installed.
For example, you can boot and safely use Disk Utility from a disk labeled 10.4.0 if you have 10.4.0 through 10.4.7 installed on your computer.
But, you would not want to use a disk labeled 10.3.x with a computer that has 10.4.x installed.
The reason is that OS 10.4 made a lot of changes to the file system, and OS 10.3.x would likely not understand some of those changes and mess something up.
Additionally, there is a bit of code on the install disks and in the computers themselves that prevent you from using an older version of the OS than that which shipped with the computer originally.
So, if your computer shipped with OS 10.4.6 on it, and you are trying to boot from an OS version 10.4.5 (or older) disk, it may not work.
If it does boot, then it will prevent you from installing. But, it may allow you to run the Disk Utility.
Either way, do not use utilities on your system that pre-date the OS that you are using on the hard drive.
An older OS will not understand the newer file system properly. But, if the disk is 10.4.0 or later, then it will understand the OS 10.4.x file system.

JRockit 5 compatibility with older versions of WebLogic?

Some of our clients are using older versions of WebLogic (I believe 8) but we want to start writing Java 5 code. Does anyone know what minimum version of WebLogic is required to use JRockit 5? Is there a chart online anywhere that shows the WebLogic version and its included JRockit version? I've been searching around and can't find the information!

Thank you, after digging around through those pages I found part of what I was looking for by clicking on the "List of Supported Operating System Configurations" (and choosing an OS) and it listed the JDK requirements. You are correct in that WebLogic 9 is the first one to mention Java 5.
However, the other thing I'd like to find out is if WebLogic 8 will still run as normal with a Java 5 VM. When the documents for version 8 were created (or last updated) isn't it possible that Java 5 hadn't been released yet, so they only mention Java 1.4.2?
Although if Java 5 didn't exist at the time of WebLogic 8, that is probably a good indication that WebLogic 8 could include code (such as usage of "enum") that won't work with Java 5.

Motion compatibility with older versions

I'm using Motion 3 and I want to open the same project with Motion, the first version. I have used no 3D, but when I open with the older Motion, it tells me that the file comes from an older version and it can't be opened... maybe it's because of the use of replicators and behaviours? Or is it impossible to open a file from a newer version of Motion with an old one, no matter how simple it is?

Between 2 and 2.1 you used to be able to edit the file and simply change the version number, but the file format changed with Motion 3. Thus you can upgrade a file, but never go back...

1. Go to see the Extension of the file and there by you will find a Problem there
2. Now convert the File which is Supported in their formats
After that you can see the problem once
If you will find a Remains then you can follow the steps
1. Make sure to check the File with in the Compatibility mode
2. If not you can set in to a Compatibility mode by Right click on it
3. Select the properties and there you will find a " Compatibility " Tab
