Video conferencing between CCM and CCME

Hi,
We are having CCM4.1(3)at central location.In branch location we are having CCME 4.0(2).Both the locations are connected through leased circuit. We enabled Video on IP Phone which is registered to CCM and also we configured CCME for video. When we start doing video conferencing between these two location, it's not happenning. In VT advantage it is showing local image on Local & Remote screen. I don't know what is the problem.
Can you guys please tell me wheather Video Conferencing will work between CCM & CCME over the leased circuit using VT Advantage.
If it works, please tell me what are configuration parameters i need to configure on CCM & CCME.

By default all IP traffic is permitted through a VPN tunnel except broadcast and multicast traffic. It basically is a matter of how the video software you are using works. If it is a multicast application then it will not work through an ipsec tunnel, if it is a unicast application then it should be able to work.
Also if this video is on the Internet tries to enable split tunnel on the VPN endpoint. Now if the issue is with a video that is on the PC, this might be because a software corruption of the OS, so try reinstalling the VPN Client software

Video conferencing between iChat 4.0.2. and AIM Pro (on PC)

My girlfriend lives in Iowa and just bought a brand new Dell with Windows Vista. She has AIM Pro and I'm wondering if it is possible to video chat with her, using my new macbook and her new Dell. I've read many posts about this and there doesn't seem to be a clear answer. We haven't tried it yet because I don't want to have her buy a camera and then have it not work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same attempt here, last night.
I had not messed with iChat or with chatting in general to begin with.
My MBP/iChat >>> Windows Visa machine/AIM (NOT the Pro version I assume). Seems that we were soon enough able to IM between the two machines, but video/no audio took a while longer: and even then rather uncertain. We briefly got video between the two machines ONCE (I have no idea if we did something different though), and the rest of the time had "buddy authentification" issues. Seems that the two machines were acknowledging one another easily enough in the meantine.
i have checked around about iChat and learn somewhere that file sharing should be suspended while doing video/audio chatting.
But, in the end, what caught my attention is the following link:

Seems explanatory enough. I have and use skype. I'll hae to have by Windows/Vista buddy install it and then we;ll try again!

Any way to video chat between Messages and older Mac via iChat?

I upgraded to Mountain Lion yesterday and am beginning to regret it - I discovered that I will no longer be able to help my parents troubleshoot their MacBook as they have an older MacBook with Leopard 10.5.8, and their MacBook is not upgradeable to Mountain Lion given its heritage (too old). Prior to my upgrade to Mountain Lion, when they needed help we would both launch iChat and I would ask to take control of their screen. Their account setup on iChat was through an AOL AIM username.
I looked into whether I could still launch a video sharing session with them using Messages from my end and they using iChat from their end (still with their AOL AIM username) but can find no evidence that that will work.
I am hoping that someone has figured out how to make all this work. I researched FaceTime and it doesn't appear that it supports video chatting/screen sharing.
My last ditch option will be to see if I can gain access to their machine via internet remote access - but I'd rather steer clear of that.
Anybody know how to make this work - video chat and remote screen control between my Mac running Mountain Lion 10.8.2 and remote Mac running Leopard 10.5.8?

Have you tried the ReelPortal app? This should be able to cover both of your needs: it allows video chat between Playbook and PC, and essentially broadcasts the video chat to a site. (I have not attempted to capture the broadcast). It's not the prettiest app out there, but does what you're looking for.

Video Conferencing Between to offices

Hi Guys,
My company is quite smalll and based in two locations. We're looking for a reasonable solution to do video confrencing between a confrence room in each site. I'd expect that up to 6 people on each end of the conference.
Question: Has anyone used iChat for this and is it a good solution?
I've been looking at the new 20" G5 iMacs - would they work?

It should work just fine. To get 6 people in the "shot" I think you may have to be seated quite a way from the camera though.
I often chat to people half way across the world with superb video and audio quaility.

Integration between CCM and UC520

We need to establish a connection between CCm release 4.0 and UC 520.
configuration from CCM side: we configure a H323 gateway to go directly to UC520
configuration from UC side: it's a simple dial peer
dial-peer voice 1000 voip
destination-pattern 6567
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:10.0.100.90
dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric
we can call normally from CM to UC, but from UC to CM the call failed.
Could you help on this please.

Make sure you have the command:
h323-gateway voip bind sr
That IP needs to match what you configured in CUCM under H323 GW.
EDIT: just as an FYI this is NOT supported.

Is this feature going to be incorporated? You can do it with facetime.....

Files (music/videos) sync between devices and Mac

Hi all. Hope you would be able to help.
I have iOS devices (iPhone and iPod touch) and a Macbook Pro. Basically, I would like to sync all my media files to my iPod touch (i.e. all my music and videos) but only a few albums to my iPhone (due to limited iPhone storage and its main use being for other apps and communication).
Sync between Macbook Pro and iPod touch is perfectly fine and straight forward - just syncing all files between the 2. However, when I connect my iPhone to the Macbook Pro, I know there is an option which I can sync specific albums but if I connect the iPhone the second time, will the Macbook Pro recognizes that there are only a few albums in my iPhone and decides to wipe out the rest of the albums in the music library? I just want to make sure that the Macbook Pro recognizes the 2 devices as 2 "separate devices" and I am able to sync how many files I want for specific devices whilst my Macbook Pro preserves all the media files. Can anyone guide me how to make sure the above operation on iTunes?

I was just looking at this again and noticed something strange.
Under the iCloud section of the Settings on my iPad, I don't have a "Documents and Data" option. Essentially, every time I use a program that wants to access iCloud for documents, that program's individual settings are reset to not use iCloud.
Any thoughts?

Video -- difference between iPod and iPad versions?..

Hello all -- I am wondering, what is the difference between "create iPod version" and "create iPad version"/... I searched teh Net and couldn't find anything on this topic. If you have already created a video for use in an iPod, can it also be imported into an iPad?? Additionally, what is the difference between the two versions? Thanks very much for any input. (We're talking iPod Classic and iPad2...)

the iPad is capable of displaying HD content (up to 720p), an iPod obviously is not. creating an iPad version will provide a file with higher resolution which will not play on iPod.
a file created for iPod will play on iPad, however, will not look as good on it.

Video Sync between iTunes and iPad with IOS 7.0.2 Never Completes

I travel a lot and load recorded content up to my iPad from iTunes on my MAC on a weekly basis.
Everything worked fine until I upgraded my iPad-2 to IOS 7.0.2 and upgraded iTunes to 11.1.
Now when I sync the iPad from iTunes, the sync hangs.
After a couple of hours, I pulled the cable, and listings for the TV Shows appear the iPad -> Videos -> TV Shows. On the iPad, when I select an episode I thought I just synch'ed over, the iPad shows a loading screen for a few seconds and then flshes back to the TV Shows listings.

Finally made an appointment at the Genuis Bar <free of charge>. The tech suspected that the firmware got trashed. The tech reloaded the frmware and the IOS. The "reimaging" wiped out the iPad and I had to rebuild my settings by hand. But everything works great.

I'm new to all this VC stuff and just bought an iSight and wish to vid conf with my dad and brother. They are both at different locations and I need a tudoring or manual of some type. Any help? For starters, so I need a .mac account to conference with PCs?

Loss of Audio / Video sync between browser and canvas

When I am working in the browser, the video and audio are in sync. But the moment I put the clip into the canvas, I lose the sync. I captured an entire mini DV tape and then cut it up into clips. Some of the clips are fine and some lose the sync. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

You must mean when you are working in the Viewer, the sync is maintained.
If sync is lost, it is often the result of mismatched audio sample rates. For example, if your sequence is set to 48khz/16 bit and your clip is 32khz/12bit, audio can drift. It will drift even if the audio is 48.001khz.
Only DVCAM locks audio to video. Long captures using consumer equipment are particularly susceptible to drift. One strategy to avoid it is to log the clips on the tape and capture in short segments.

Video changes between sharp and blurry

I have noticed in past exported videos I put onto DVD that text would be sharp and then blurry and then back to sharp again.
Today I am exporting a project in HD. There is video content with words beside it. At first the words are very sharp and then they go blurry and then sharp again.
Any insight? Could it have anything to do with old preview render files? Should I trash them all and try it again? Any other ideas?

sure enough it is a problem with past render files. I trash all of them and re-exported, now with perfectly clean text all the way through.
I believe that from now on I will be trashing all of my render files before exporting any video. Does anyone else do this regularly? Occasionally I've had an actual glitch in a render file where the image was really jacked up, but not something so small that it goes unnoticed half the time, like text changing from blurry to not blurry.

One way video chat between MAC and PC

My sister has latest version of AIM on her PC. We've tested it before and she was able to receive my audio and video signals. She could respond with audio only. She is now in a different state and suddenly she can only hear me. She receives no video. On my MAC, I see the video fine, and it says it's on a video chat with my sister. But she can only hear me. I have checked the preferences and it shows a 100% audio signal and 0% video. Can someone help?

Different Music Videos Playlist Between iPhone and iPod

Ok i have this problem since i have my iphone and no one answer me, maybe there's no answer so i ask again.
I have a more than 500 music videos in my library, i don't have a problem when i sync my ipod because i have an 80GB for all these videos, the problem comes when i want sync my iphone i have to check and uncheck the videos i don't want sync with my iphone because of course i don't have space in the iphone, so anyone knows if have any option for make 2 different musicvideo playlist and sync one with the iphoe and the other with the ipod.

I have been having this exact same problem. It went away for a month or two after upgrading my iTunes to the latest version, but reared its head again last week. I've tried all of the solutions listed on the support article listed here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3044 The only thing that seems to work for me is when I disable the "live updating" tab. What a pain.
