You can see this URL. The SRND is very useful. You can find information about the diferent models that you have to work. MCUs, GW, GK, endpoints and other components.

  • Cisco Business Video Conferencing Design & Architecture

    https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-30750

We have tested calls between SCCP clients and Tandberg units. There could be multiple ways of doing this but we have implemented it as below
    VTA --> Callmanager ---> H323 gatekeeper ---> tandberg unit
Then link between Callmanager and the H323 gatekeeper is a trunk, setup in the callmanger. The dial patterns can be set easily. Both GK and CM need to be configured for it.
    But it works fine.

  • Designing Cisco Video conferencing solution

    Hi All,
I need to design a single site Cisco IP Video Conferencing soultion which should support web, chat, ISDN and email etc support.
there will be one conferencing room which will be communicating with other remote or traving users.
the requirement is that remote or travelling users should be able to have the video conferencing facility with the Headoffice(single site) and vise versa.
Any help will be much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Waqas

I would recommend Cisco unified presence server for your deployment with MPX. That will give you chat, voice and video conferencing. If you dont use MPX then you can only do point-to-point video CUPS on its own doesnt support video conferencing.
YOu can also intergrate with exchange to view meetings and unity to listen to voicemails.
You can use VTA for the remote clients and 7985 for central site or some sort of tanberg phone if you want a larger screen.
The remote users are going to have to have a pretty low latency connection to get good quality video/voice.

  • Video conferencing and SIP URI setup

I am new to Cisco's video products and am trying to configure them for some simple video conferencing. I currently have the following in our environment:
    CUCM v7.1.5
    VCS X7.2.1
    TMS v14.1.0
    MCU 5320 v4.3(2.17)
    EX90 vTC5.1.2
I am also new to SIP URI dialing. I have done some base configuration on my VCS, TMS, and MCU, following the installation and configuration guide. What I am struggling with is what I need in order to set up the SIP URI info for the EX90. Does there need to be an AD account configured that has a sip directory value? Or can I just use whatever SIP address I want as long as the domain matches what I put in the VCS for the domain and allow list?
    I followed the following guides:
    TMS

Any assistance and understanding that can be shared would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance,
Mr. A little confused - Arras V. Martin

Hi Arras.  Good morning.  I'm going to hopefully answer some of your questions you have here.  You also may find that the Telepresense Community on the Support Forums is a great place to post this as well.
First, I would recomment to you to update from TMS 14.1 to TMS 14.1.1.  There was a major scheduling bug in this release, and had to be removed and updated with TMS 14.1.1.  I would start by updating TMS to that version.
CUCM 7.1.5 is a bit older release.  There are some nuasances with this version that have been fixed in 8.6.2 CUCM.  Also, if running 8.5 CUCM or higher, you can add this to TMS and manage TP endpoints on CUCM via this version.  So if you have CTS endpoints or EX, MX and C-series registered to CUCM, you can manage and schedule those units in TMS.
Q -Does there need to be an AD account configured that has a sip directory value?
A - If you add the device in TMS and have it registered to VCS as SIP, you can configure the SIP URI field to whatever SIP URI you wish to assign to the system.  As long as the domain you specify is part of VCS domain and your allow list pattern or rule is ok, the system should register just fine.
If you running SIP only environment, you can always restrict bookings in TMS to allow SIP only if this is what your gearing towards.
Hope this helps you out a bit.  Feel free to post any more questions here you may have and will do my best to get those answered for ya.

  • RV082 and video conferencing

RV082 router is not allowing video conferencing through to Polycom 7000 HD.  voice comes through but no video.
    Have tried several things.
1.) necessary ports ( Polycom provided) forwarded to designated internal ip / firewall acess allowed ( external ips to designated internal ip ) respective port Qos set to high.
2.) set dmzhost to designated internal ip address. Respective port Qos set to high.
3.) enabled Upnp with necessary (Polycom provided) ports forwarded to designated internal ip address.
    Is something missed?
Other option is obtain second external ip address and connect to DMZ port. Trying to avoid a second external ip.

    multicast passthrough is enabled.
At this point I am leaning towards a bandwidth problem.  Since this unit is sharing the local network - there may not be
enough bandwidth the support the video signal but sufficient for voice.

  • What System Can use for Phone & Video Conferencing

    Hello,
What System to recommend to use for our Small office on both Voice and Video Conferencing.
    and to our branch offices.

    Hi Angelo,
As Jaime suggested the design needs to be validated before its implemented. Assuming you are using CUCM, you can look at the possibility of using 9971 series IP phones with Video conferencing capable ISR G2 routers with PVDM-3. Please check the following

  • Video conferencing deployment

    Hello,
I work in a hotel, and we intend to deploy video conferencing service to guests and management. Can anyone please help with products, design etc(new to video conferncing). Our internet connection is thru VSAT. Please advice
    Thank you
    Daniel.

    Hello,
Video conferenceing requires large amounts of bandwidth and is even worse than VOIP in reguards to jitter and quality. You have a couple of options depending on what your wanting to do for conferencing.
Polycomm and Tandbergs are two major manufactures of video equipment. I'm not familiar with the tandbergs other than there more ruggged.
If you looking at only doing two sites the equipment is fairly easy but if your looking at haveing anything more than three sites conferencing at the same time you'll have have to look into bringing equipment that consolidates all the streams and sends out one to each of the conferencing units.
Polycomm VSX7000 have the ability setup a conferene to two other video units.
If your looking at doing conferences of ISDN you'll have to look into getting a gateway if just ip it's fairly straighforward.
Its probably best to contact a video engineer group like the chariot group.

  • Creating video conferencing application?.

hello, im a newbie in JMF. How should i design a video conferencing application that uses less ports for transmitting audio and video streams? since i have read in the API that there is a separate port to be used for audio and video. and what comes into my mind. the use of ports may increase since more users can come in and join the conference, and also interact with the conferencing. Thanks. I would like to hear a lot of response from people who have already created such application.

    Hi,
Already set audioReliable & videoReliable false on publisher & player nestream.
Still the lag is there. Is there any latency buffer settings anywhere ( on server which each peer copies?)

  • CUCM registered SX10s and adhoc video conferencing

    Hi All,
We have a customer with CUCM 10.5 looking to do some very basic video conferencing (multi party but only need loudest talker switching).  Simplicity is key here, they are used to adhoc conferencing including MeetMe in CUCM using traditional IP phones.  They are looking at installing SX10s in a few meeting rooms, registered to CUCM 10.5.  The questions I have are:
    i) Is it possible to use a G2 ISR (2911 etc.) with a homogeneous conference bridge configured for h264 / HD 720p and have the SX10s be part of a conference?  The data sheet indicates the SX10s support 720p30 (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints/telepresence-quick-set-series/datasheet-c78-731274.html).  I understand there would be some serious limitations here like no transcoding (all parties in the conference have to support the 720p stream), this shouldn't be an issue as all devices will be SX10s.
ii) Is it possible to initiate a MeetMe conference from an SX10, either from the remote or a touch 10?
ii) Is it possible to dial into a MeetMe conference from an SX10, either from the remote or a touch 10?
iii) Is it possible to escalate a point to point call to an adhoc conference from an SX10, either from the remote or a touch 10?
The Cisco TelePresence Endpoints and Cisco Unified Communications Manager document (http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/endpoint/codec-c-series/tc7/administration-guide/administering-endpoints-running-tc72-on-ucm1051.pdf) has a few lines on adhoc conferencing (page 54) which says "To enable ad hoc conferencing the CUCM must be set up with a Conference Bridge (media resources), and the conference bridge must be added as a Cisco Telepresence MCU in CUCM."  Which makes me doubt the PVDM3 video conference bridge would be supported.
Are there any other solutions to a simple video conference requirement, or would it have to be a MCU registered to CUCM?
    Thanks,
    Jonathan

With the SX10's registered to CUCM there is several options here. One is that if they own a good amount of CUWL then there is the ability to get free TelePresence Server licenses. I believe it is for every 30 CUWL pro they get 1 screen license and the ability to install conductor. In order to install this you need to make sure that you have VMware resources to handle those two installs. Then you can have your ad hoc meeting configured in that.
If they want a physical appliance than a MCU 53xx can be used as well. License it based on how many people you want in one bridge.
In either case you will need to configure the Media Resource Group option in UCM to point to those SIP trunks to allow for the 3 way video call to happen and it will be automatic to the end user. They will see a call coming in and then the option to accept and merge.
I remember reading about using a GSR but it has to have the DSP 3 module in it for the video encoding.

  • Trying to bypass CAC for Video Conferencing using EnableBWPolicyOverride

    Scenario:
CAC enabled and bandwith policy defined for all company sites. Video bandwidth very restricted (250 Kbps).
VIP users were granted a Voice Policy with EnableBWPolicyOverride=TRUE (VIP users must bypass CAC).
    Test:
P2P Video Calls between VIP users bypass CAC, allowing high video resolutions (Ok!).
Video Conferences between VIP users don't bypass CAC, limiting video to low resolution (NOT ok).
Is this expected, that Video Conferencing will not respect the EnableBWPolicyOverride=TRUE from the Voice Policy? (I know, it's a VOICE Policy and I'm tlaking about VIDEO. But remember, on P2P video call the bypass worked.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
Bandwidth policy override enables administrators to override call admission control policy decisions for a particular user, however, the policy will be overridden only for incoming calls to the user and not for outgoing calls that are placed by
the user. So I think the policy does not apply to video conference.
