Video conferencing with AS2.0?

Hi everyone,
I am about to implement Video chat function in my Flash projet, I am using as2.0, and is it possible?
I download the sample code from Adobe official website:
I've already installed FMS3.0, but how to get the VideoConferencing sample working?
Thanks a lot~~

Hi,
So you must have copied the samle_videoconference folder from under fms2_sample_apps/applications to your FMS applications directory. Now open the video conference.fla file and add the logic of connecting to server and broadcasting the video to to all users there. Try going through the other simpler tutorials specially the one involving live video, audio and the one with shared object to get an understanding of how you can add the AS2 code required for your application.
Do revert back if you get into issues while developing your app.

  • Secure Video conferencing with the ability to record

    Hi,
I am looking for a flash based secure video conferencing app which has the ability to record conferences.
I need it to enable a series of helpdesk type sessions and would prefer to use Flash so that the users do not have long set-up times.
Does anyone know of any off the shelf or open source apps that are out there?
    Thanks

Well and If you look at any thing by blackberry you can see that it does not match up on its features versus the iPhone. iPhone users and those of us who use it for it's amazing abilities aren't caught up on the fact that it lacks video, or picture messaging. There are other things that are more important to worry about with this phone. Play around with it and you can see that this is a very powerful tool. I switched to AT&T just to get the iPhone. Blackberry's phones have nothing on the iPhone, the way i look at it is the iPhone can only blow your mind away in the next model and until then get used to it's functions. I'd rather know how to use it at it's "simple" state as opposed to it high tech overly advanced possibilities.

  • Video Conferencing with IOS Homogeneous Video Conference Bridge

    Dears,
    I have CUCM 8.6 and 3945 Cisco router with 2 x PVDM-256
I configured the IOS Homogeneous Video Conference Bridge. and I did the required configurations in the router. and I can see the conferencing bridge is registered.
I put the conference bridge in the existing MRG and MRGL. But I am not able to do video conferencing. I can get only the audio.
is there any thing missing ? any reolad should I do ?

    Sure.
So on the gateway that you have the video conference configured, in which we have guranteed voice as the configuration, you will also add in an MTP profile.  The MTP profile will be configured as software and have the appropriate codec configured that you may be using because of your regions.  We have g722-64 and passthrough on one because we saw the E20's requesting MTP resources from the logs.
We also have additional MTP profiles configured for other codecs to include G729r8, etc.
    Register the codecs to CUCM.
It depends on what you are trying to accomplish but we were shooting for w448p thus made sure that the "Region" for the device pool associated with the Media Resource Group for each MTP was set to 1MB for the video bandwidth.
I hope this makes since if not I will try to pull down a config for you

  • Video conferencing with Windows users with the new iMac.

This may be a worn out topic, but I am trying to talk to family in Canada via my new Intel iMac. My family has MSN Messenger and after attempting to use that I quickly found that it isn't compatible.
Please tell me there is some way to utilize my video conferencing capabilities to stay in contact with all my unfortunate Windows using relatives.
Please take into consideration that I am new to the Mac world. I've had this computer now for 2 weeks, though I'm learning quick.
    Thanks in advance,

You could wait for Microsoft to update the Mac version of Messenger (haha!) but you should probably try using a third party client.
aMSN has support for video and voice using any camera that is supported by QuickTime, http://amsn.sourceforge.net/
Adium is a good general chat client. It doesn't support video or voice but it probably will one day (and it almost certainly will before the official MSN client), http://adiumx.com/

  • 3 way video conferencing with FaceTime?

Is it possible between Mac and two IPads?

    Hi
"i guess that the aim with pc wont work out..."
It's been some time since I was last on here so not sure whether advice will work, Ralph Johns has a good website on getting a Mac to video talk to a PC using AIM/iChat. Whether it can do a 3-way is another matter, person with PC could have a look at http://www.ralphjohns.co.uk/page12.html & see if it helps. I have Skype but haven't tried any video calls with it yet so don't know if it can 3-way.

  • Video Conferencing with NX Pro?

Just got an NX Pro Webcam from my son and daughter-in-law for Christmas, and seem to have hooked it up without a problem.
Can't figure out how to Video Conference with it, however. He has one as well, and that's what we'd like to be able to do.
    What is required?

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I begin to see!
Don't have an Instant Messaging application on my box! Last one I ever used was ICQ over fi've years ago.
So that's the requirement, Jason? An "Instant Messenger?"

  • Video Conferencing with AIM PC users

If a PC user has an AIM account, does this mean that I can video chat with them?

    HI Randy,
What If Your Girlfriend Lives A Long Way Away ?
This page deals with links to The Tuning instructions for AIM 5.5 and 5.9
It also detaisl how to Enable the AIM application through the XP Service Pack 2 Firewall. Trillian Come s in two versions which also need to be enabled through the XP firewall
Trillian's Basic version can Audio chat to iChat that AIM can not. The Pro version cost $25 to be able to Video but the pic is bigger (than AIM)to start with and is adjustable up to Full Screen.

  • Video conferencing with more than 2 people and with PC and mac users

I want to do a video conference with up to 4 people at a time. I have a mac - MBA Rev C (OS is 10.56). I just started up iChat today for the first time and am using my AIM ID on it as I don't have a .mac account.
The problem is I want to chat with other people in a group conference but I think the other people all have PCs and are using Windows XP. Getting AIM is not a problem for these people and they all have webcams.
I just don't know whether it's possible for us to have a video conference with the four of us all viewing the three videos simultaneously on the one screen.
Will I be able to see and hear the three other people? Will they be able to see the three others?
Will I be able to see the three others at the same time but they won't be able to see anyone, or only one person, me?
How does this work? I've read a lot of sites about this but none mention whether this is possible or not. I know it's possible to have a video conference between 2 people using a mac and a PC but I want to know about a mac and 3 pc situation.

Have a look at Tokbox http://www.tokbox.com/

  • How to do Video Conferencing with PC users

Does anyone know how to video conference with for example MSN messenger users? I want to video conference with my sister who only has a PC she is trying to do this via MSN messenger can it be done and how?
    iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Try aMSN and Mercury Messenger, both of which are MSN clients that support webcam/video chat. Yahoo Messenger (the official client) also has webcam support, but of course your sister would have to download Yahoo Messenger. Finally, I've heard reports that iChat on the Mac and AIM 5.9 on the PC will allow video chats.

  • Finally: Large window Mac-PC video conferencing with Yak

This isn't an iChat AV post, but since I've scoured this forum in the past for information on Mac-PC videoconferencing, I thought I would make a posting for other interested iChatters. My iChat AV works beautifully to my Mac-using in-laws but I have had much more trouble finding a workable videoconferencing app for my PC-using parents.
I downloaded Yak this morning (http://www.yakforfree.com/). Within about two minutes, I had signed up for a free account and installed the software on my end. It probably took 5 minutes to talk my mom through the download and setup. We connected immediately.
Although the initial window is postage-stamp size, if you click on detach window, you can resize it. I made my window half as large as my screen; my mom made hers as large as her second monitor. I was using an iSight camera and she was using a cheap USB camera. Voice quality is as good as Skype and video is pretty darn good (my expectations weren't high).
After my first experience, I would highly recommend this software to Mac users seeking to video conference with PC users.

  • Using the iChat video conferencing with a PC user

I have been trying to use the iChat AV with a PC user who is on AIM. Is this not possible? Even a one-way chat?

Unfortunately this is the only way I use iChat... I can't convince my relatives to make the apple jump. It will not work one-way, only if both sides have video. When it does work it works ok, but the windows side generally has all kinds of configuration issues (like personal firewall problems). It also isn't that great of an experience on the windows side, but that is just my opinion after using hte mac side.
There are some really good folks in the ichat forum with a LOT of great information on how to get this working correctly. But for the most part the problem is going to be on the other (pc) end. The one other person I do video chat with is a mac user in New Zealand and I am in the US - when we connect I never have a problem...
    Good luck!

  • Video conferencing with multi-presenters

We'd like to have live video conferences using iPads (for people on the road) and home based computers. We'd also like to be able to shift from presenter to presenter easily, including presenters on iPads. Any software ideas? We currently use GoToMeeting but it doesn't allow "presenters" on iPads.

I was looking to do similar, and came across this page.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6790/gatecont/ps4952/qa_c67-649850.html
It indicates a pretty weak range of the Cisco product line being supported, but does not include Jabber at all.  We have been piloting the Jabber Video client, alongside some MX series units, and I find this to be yet another weird point where the EX series has better compatibility and functionality then the more expensive MX series units.
