T400 Video Controller problem

Recently sent my T400 notebook (2764CTO) notebook back to Lenovo to replace the screen (due to flickering). After it was returned I received the following message with startup: "ATI drivers not installed or not functioning properly".
I looked in the device manage and there is no ATI adapter. I believe what should be there is an ATI Radeon 3470 Adapter (256MB). I called up Lenovo support and they weren't able to look up the drivers needed or the number/version of the adapter.Any ideas?

VIDEO CONTROLLER-HIBERNATION PROBLEM

A few days ago I installed HP Scanner software, then uninstalled it.
Since then my video controller got lost and the Hibernation option (with closed lid) is dissappeared.

Video controller/slider problem

I am trying to hook up a slider component to work as a video
controller. My video player component is called vidScreen.
The slider is:

The slider correctly updates to the video position. However,
I can't use it for moving to other parts of the video; when I try
to slide it, it just jumps back to the current time and "fights"
with the drag/click.
Any suggestions?

Problems installing Video Controller on M40X-233

I have a Toshiba Satellite M40X-233 and have the following problem: After buying it, I went to this site to get the most recent drivers for my laptop. Everything installed ok except the Video Controller. After installing this one (Intel controller), it requested that I'd reboot the machine and after, it could not login, saying there was not enough resources to load the login profile. I could only correct the problem by loading in Safe Mode and unistalling the #$%& driver. After that, I tried to install the old drivers that came with the laptop, but the behaviour is the same... So now I uninstalled it and do not have any video controller, which is really bad, but hey, at least I can work... does anybody have the same problem? How to correct it?

Firstly what I want to know is why you updated all your drivers after buying a new notebook? In my opinion the new notebook should works properly and it should be not necessary to update anything.
Secondly, the graphic card you can check in the device manager.
That should you know. But I have also checked this informations about this unit a this notebook has a Mobile Intel 915GM Express Chipset AlvisoGM graphic card. In this case you need a Intel graphic drivers.

Video controller (VGA compatiable) problem

I have 2 devices with sign "?!" in my device manager list
They are unknown and named as Base system device.
locations are:
I have formated my HDD and reinstalled WIN XP
I have installed all necessary drivers, but 3 devices left with sign "?!"
They are unknown and named as video controller and video controller (VGA Compatiable).
When i right click and select properties i get the following info
PCI Bus 0 ,device 2, function 1
PCI Bus 0 ,device 2, function 0
the manufacturer for both the above indicated is "unknown"
Maybe somebody knows, what devices are on these locations and what drivers needed to be instaled.

Qosmio F10-136 display drivers/video controller

I am in the middle of resintalling everything on my Qosmio F10-136 laptop. I have used the display drivers from the Toshiba website. However, in the device manager the video controller is showing an error and the drivers are not installed. The graphics card is a nVidia GeForce FX go5700. Scrolling pages up and down in IE is very slow.
Also when I go to display properties settings-advanced-adapter the graphics card is not shown under adapter type.
Anyone know what the problem is? Do I need to download drivers from somewhere esle?

The graphic driver released on the Toshiba European driver page is working and can be installed properly.
I think you did something wrong.
Try to reinstall the graphic driver again.
Remove the graphic controller from the device manager list and reboot the notebook.
Then try to reinstall the driver again. I would recommend installing it in device manger.
Choose graphic card, update the driver, then point to the downloaded graphic driver and finish the installation.

I have the same problem with my Lap Top, which is an Equium M40X-189. I have also been unable to find the driver, even using your helpful comments and link. The website is denying knowledge of any appropriate drivers for 'display' 'screen' 'graphic' 'video'. I'm also slightly struggling because my PC model also doesn't appear on the drop down list (presumably because it's too old).
Any other thoughts or suggestions on how to find the appropriate driver? Many thanks

Let me first state I'm an
extreme novice with Flash. Basically, I use it to import
Quicktime movies and set up flv swf files for the web. All just
using the click through import options. I'm not doing any authoring
or construction so I'm really unfamiliar with 99.9% of Flash.
I've been using the prepackaged video controllers (like
Mohave, Clear, etc.) and I'd really like to find a more elegant
video controller. I've searched Flashkit and FlashFoundry, but I'm
unable to find anything let alone something that is well designed.
I've found several online tutorials for building one, but to be
honest, my skill set isn't up to it. And I'm aware that the
pre-formatted shipping controllers are customizable, but, like I
posted, my skill set just isn't up to that.
What I'd like is something similar to the controller at this

Sorry but I didnt understood your posting well. You wrote about some problem but according your description you just want to update display driver. Am I right or maybe I have misunderstood something? I dont see any problem there.
Tecra 9000 has S3 SuperSavage/IXC video card and right driver you can find on Toshiba download page. Install it and graphic card will run properly.
If you think I have misunderstood your posting please explain exactly what the graphic card status in device manager is and what you want to do exactly.

I recently uninstalled my disk drive because I unwisely followed some online advice. My computer has had problems the last few weeks and would freeze for a few seconds, then the screen resolution and colors would change. The colors would be really garish with greys, pinks, and yellows and a window would pop up saying my "igxprd32 display driver has stopped working normally. Save your work and reboot the system to restore full display functionality." After I restarted my computer, everything would be fine again. However, I was getting really annoyed after this happened several times in the span of a few weeks and wanted to find a solution. So I typed in that exact phrase from the window and found a forum here:

The third post down, someone said to uninstall my display driver, restart my computer, and then update my driver. Apparently this person said installing an older driver would get rid of the problem. Since the original asker reported success, I gave this a go. When I did so, the resolution became even worse and all the icons were all too big. The colors were normal, but I hated how everything looked. My dad told me to right click the desktop, go to properties, settings, and set the resolution higher, which i did to 1024 by 768 pixels. The screen was somewhat normal, but things looked elongated. I was okay with this, but then I found out my stand by mode no longer works. I only have two options: Restart or Turn Off.
After googling again, I found this forum:

where they said to go to my device manager and see if anything had a yellow exclamation sign. The only thing that did have the sign was my Video Controller (VGA compatible) which was under Other Devices.
I googled again, and a forum advised to go to the HP website and go to the Support & Drivers to download my driver. I typed in my product # and a huge list came up. Are these all the drivers available for download? None of them say Video Controller. Please help, I don't know what to do and the Stand by option is incredibly important for me. Here is some info about my computer

Missing Driver For Video Controller

my laptop's model no. is toshiba satellite pro l510. I have windows 7 installed in my laptop . my videos on my laptop was working fine till yesterday but sudeenly my vlc crashed and other video players were also crashing so i tried to update the display driver but couldn't so i unistalled it . But now i'm trying to reinstall it but the driver is not installing . also in the device manager i am unable to find the display adapter icon. and i'm getting a yellow colour icon in my other devices option in the device manager saying video controller (vga compatible)when i'm double clicking it , it says "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)Data error (cyclic redundancy check).
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver" i'm not able to find the right drivers for my laptop . alll the drivers i've downloaded are not installing or hasn't heldped. plzz help..

The CRC mismatch error means a system file or a registry entry doesnt match what windows or the driver is expecting. In some cases a simple chkdsk or a registry cleaner will solve the problem and in some cases a full restore is needed. Click the start button.Right click my computer.Select Properties -> Tools -> Check Now -> Start -> Schedule Disk Check -> Next Boot -> Restart PC I would also advise running a registry cleaner like ccleaner to check for errors.http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner Regsitry Tab -> Scan For Issues -> Wait until done -> Fix Selected Issues.
