Video creation date not correctly read?

This might be a bug--it appears to me that Bridge is not reading the EXIF "date/time original" field for avi files--instead it is reading the MS windows dates which is a bad thing because any time you copy a file, these dates get changed. Even just moving a video file to another hard disk will destroy the MS windows "creation date". However the EXIF dates are untouched.
I'm using exiftool to read the metadata.
Bart

iPhoto uses EXIF metadata for it's creation date and videos do not have that metadata.  You can use the Photos ➙ Adjust Date and Time.... menu option to change the date to whatever you need to get it to sort in the right order when sorted by Date.

  • Cube data not being read

I have a cube with multiple request loaded and am trying to extract data from this cube (to another system/cube). Some data is not read by datamart; I have identified it to be all data from the very first request in the source cube. All other requests' data does come across in datamart extraction.
This particular request is green, nothing wrong with it. Data from this request does appear when I run a query in Bex, or, do a listcube. It doesn't come across when I do an RSA3 test on datamart datasource, or, a open hub extraction.
There has to be some property of the request which causes it to not be read by extractor/open-hub but I can't find it. Any ideas?
It is not feasible to get this data through query (millions of record in the request, hundred or more characteristics).

So, data from a specific request is visible to BEx and listcube, but not to InfoSpoke, RSA3, and subsequent load to another InfoProvider. I am puzzled as well, but would try the below two to see I can get further ideas.
    1. Run stats on the cube. (I don't have a rational reason for this
    2. Is the data visible to APD? (RSANWB)

  • Time and Date not correct

    Hi to all.
Does anybody know how to save your cmos settings to a floppy or CD?
Is there a program that can assist with saving the cmos settings to floppy or CD?
Is there anyway to perform saving the cmos settings within the BIOS to floppy or CD?
I really don't want to go into the BIOS and write down all that info.
I have an HP Pavilion 553w that is 7 1/2 years old, running windows xp home edition version 2002 sp3, 2 gbs of ram, AMD athlon(tm)XP 2100+ 1.73 GHZ, bios version/date Phoenix Techologies, LTD AM35308, 10/07/2002 (Phoenix-AwardBIOS CMOS Setup Utility) SMBIOS 2.3, BIOS Core Version V6.0, BIOS Revision 3.08 10/7/2002.
I know my computer is ancient and I probably should have updated my BIOS, as it is out of date.
Also, after starting up my computer I noticed my time and date is not correct and as of lately have to adjust the time and date to the correct time and date.
I did some research and came across some possible reasons:
    1. RTC battery (CMOS battery) may need reseating on motherboard.
    2. The battery has become corrupt.
    3. BIOS version may be out of date.
My computer is really taking longer than usual to startup and images of icons take longer to display, which may be a sign of the symptoms I listed above.
My computer doesn't have any malware whatsoever, clean as can be.
Any help or advise will be truly appreciated.

    Jboman,
There is not need to save CMOS settings unless you changed the default BIOS settings.  A bad CMOS battery will not preserve the settings.

  • How can I save captured clips to hard disk using the actual video recorded date, not the date I transferred it?

When using Batch capture in AP5.5, the clips are saved to hard disk using the capture date as the Created Date and Modified Date.  How do I configure Premier to use the actual clips recorded date (Meta Data Basic/Date Created) so that I can view them in Windows folders and other applications based on the date the video was recorded, not when I imported it.

AFAIK, there's no way to do that with Premiere Pro.  You can probably find a utility on the Internet that will change the dates for you after the fact.

  • Not correctly reading serial port data after first cycle

I set up a VI for serial communication using RS232 with a pressure transducer meter. The pressure readings are in a loop along with a series of calculations in that loop. The readout from the first cycle is correct, but i just see garbage characters on every subsequent cycle. The VI was running fine when the loop was just reading the pressure data and not performing any calculations. What could be the reason for this discrepancy.
The OS is windows NT and software is Labview 6.1
    Thanks

    Thanks for your response,
I am using a VISA. The bytes at serial port are fixed, that is for a particular command the response number of bytes is fixed. The read operation in the first cycle (of a loop) is correct but it reads garbage characters for every other cycle. I am using a 9600 baud rate and the meter responds directly in strings, no handshake is used.
    Thanks for the response,
PS: The computer with the code is not connected to the net, i will need to transfer it to post the code.

  • Photo dates not correct in iOS 7, how to correct this?

Working with iOS 7.0.2 on iPhone 5s. The new screens for showing foto's is nice and handy, but....a lot of pictures are now presented in the wrong year, how can I correct this per picture? With the former iOS version, this became not visable, as there were no years, dates etc. showed.
Maybe it's simple to correct....but I didn't find out yet....

    Any way to resolve this?

  • MSS iView Salary Data Not Correct

    Hi all,
In the MSS salary data iView, it's showing the salary which is reading from infotype 8. But for some countries, for example Taiwan and Japan, since the salary number is chopped off with the last two digits. For example, the number in infotype 8 is 1234, it will show up as 12 (rounded from 12.34). Does anyone have a idea why this is happening? did we miss any configuration?

    Hi Bala,
Thanks for your quick help. Yes, we do realize that it's not portal issue. And we know as a fact that the decimal places defined for Taiwan and Japan are always as "0" in TCURX. But we could not change it here because it will affect all program running based on this table. We do believe that anywhere else in ECC, based on the decimal for each country, the program will handle the conversion seperataly, so it will show the correct data on the UI. But looks like either we are missing configuration in MSS side or this is a bug from SAP. If it's a bug, I was hoping there's a note to fix it and someone here has experienced the same problem and knew the note.

  • Sampled Data not correct

I developed a VI to sample three different chanels from my DAQ board.  I set up the channels in MAX and they read correctly there, but when I am aquireing data in Labview I get a small voltage value from one of my transducers when it should be almost zero.  The othe transducer which is about the same reads correctly.  Atached is the basic acquisition set up in Labview 6.1.
Do I need to change my settings in Max?
The transducers are basic pressure sensors with a digital display.  The output 0 to 5 volts DC.

My last DAQ channel is still incorrect.  I changed my order of daq channels going into the array and the last channel is incorrect.  Why does the last channel start out reading the correct value and then become incorrect when the voltage is decreased to a low value?  I am wondering if it is a timing issue?  I created a simple vi (picture attached) to verify that the last daq channel becomes incorrect when going from higher voltage to very low voltage.
The quick and dirty fix would be to sample an additional channel that is not needed and make it the last input since the last input is the only one that reads incorrect.
I tried increasing the acquisition rate and this did not help either.
I have a DAQCard-6024E with a SCB terminal block running Labview 6.1.  Any help would be appreciated.  The first DAQ traditional MAX channel is a thermocouple the second two are 0 - 5 volt DC Referenced single ended inputs.

  • Waranty start date not correct

I bought a Pavillion P6-2330 "off the shelf" from the HP online store in early February, 2013. A few days after setting it up, a pop-up appeared offering to sell me an extension to my warranty. The start date shown in the pop-up for my warranty was November 7, 2012 - over three months before I received my computer. I called HP, and found out that my computer was MANUFACTURED on November 7, 2012. My warranty SHOULD HAVE started on the day in February when I recieved it. After I faxed my receipt to HP, they adjusted my warranty to the correct date in February of 2013. How many out there don't know about this, and have shortened warranties?
You can check your warranty start and end dates in the HP Support Assistant, under the Warranty tab.

    Hi,
Usually warranties start at the time of purchase.  I wonder if someone else had previously purchased the PC and then had returned it for some reason.
Years back, I ran into warranty issues when the manufacturer had started that warranty on the ship date. I finally got the manufacturer to change that to date received (delivered).  The cost of a warranty day on very expensive equipment does add up.  Additionally, the time to return the device for a refund is also shorten if the ship date is used.

  • Any way to export videos and preserve the original creation date?

I recently shot video using an NEX-5N and AVCHD as the format. Since Aperture cannot playback this format, I converted the videos using Handbrake to mp4 (H.264), and then used A Better Finder to change the creation date of the converted file back to the same date as the original file.
Importing this converted file into Aperture works great, and the imported file shows the correct metadata of the original creation date, not the date of the conversion.
But when exporting this file from Aperture, it seems like Aperture does not embed the date as metadata, and thus the only date associated with the exported video is the file-system date attached to the file, which will of course be the date of the export.
I assume this problem applies to ANY video imported into Aperture, not just those that have been converted.
Does anyone have a method for exporting video and having the original creation date remain?  This is obviously a problem when exporting videos one-by-one, but would be a bigger problem if I ever wanted to export my entire video library from Aperture into another program...all the video files would have the same date!
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

EXIF data and video files is even more of a gray area then EXIF data and stills.
I don't do much video in Aperture so I'll take your word for it that the data isn;t imbedded into the file. In that case the best I can see is to create a custom export preset and  include the Image Date in the filename. Not great but you at least have the data and you might be able to have a script use the date from the filename and somehow add it back into the file.

  • Creation date used during ingest File Rename incorrect

    Hi
    System:
    Windows 7 64-bit SP1
    Prelude CC v2.0.1 (118)
I've been using Prelude about 9 months now and have got used to it's foibles.  Hopefully some of these are being addressed for future releases.
But the recent update seems to have introduced some problems that I didn't notice in previous versions.
My query is on the new File Rename feature (the lower part of the Ingest panel).
I have a preset for renaming my clips.  I want to rename using:
Custom Text - I type this in depending on which location
Date - I select DDMMYY Creation Date
    Auto Increment - (01)
I have two issues using this preset, it could be me idk.
The first is that the Creation Date appears as today's date, not the one from the file as I would understand it.  I would prefer it to pick up the actual Creation Date as it shows in the Metadata of the clip and also the time (i know this has already been suggested by an FCP user).
The second is that If i rename a batch of files using the Auto Increment and then decide I want to add some more footage shot at a later date but maybe the same location.   I already have for example files labelled location_01 to location_15.  Now i want to ingest some more but starting at location_16.  Currently, I can't change the AutoIncrement field setting as you can in Bridge CC.
How I wish u could just implement the Batch rename features of Bridge in Prelude.  I am trying to switch from Bridge as it doesn't play nicely with video on my system.  It's a pain.  I love Prelude but can u please improve the renaming function.
If the creation date was correct the auto increment feature would not be an issue because the files would be named differently.  As it is, ingesting tons of footage on the same day results in chaos.  Having to remember to manually change the date (I have it as a Custom Text field) is a nightmare and I can see forgetting to do it then it will be a mess.
Perhaps my workflow is slightly different to someone who works in say TV but it would be nice when I know the features present in Bridge applied to all the other Suite apps.
Any pointers would be REALLY useful because this is driving me insane at the moment.  And you guys are understandably reluctant to release details of future changes and features, so who knows you could be working on it right now.
    Thanks
Just found there is another post asking more or less the same but no comments

I'd like to second the request to be able to change the starting value of the auto increment function when ingesting in Prelude CC.
If I'm ingesting batches of footage either from different cards or at different times, it creates a mess of both manual file renaming in Finder (or batch renaming—same issue of additional, unnecessary work) and also (sometimes?) getting "file ingest error" messages from Prelude because I've already imported a file with the Custom_Text_(01) name.
For anyone else with the same issue: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform

  • Creation date displayed oddly in Finder

In a Get Info window, my creation dates show correctly. In a Finder window, dates are not shown correctly, so that 2011-1-22 appears as 111/22/ followed by the time. Any idea why the / between year and month is missing?

    Another go at explaining it:
There are two kinds of metadata involved when you consider  jpeg or other image file.
One is the file data. This is what the Finder shows. This tells you nothing about the contents of the file, just the File itself.
The problem with File metadata is that it can easily change as the file is moved from place to place or exported, e-mailed, uploaded etc.
Photographs have also got both Exif and IPTC metadata. The date and time that your camera snapped the Photograph is recorded in the Exif metadata. Regardless if what the file date says, this is the actual time recorded by the camera.
Photo applications like iPhoto, Aperture, Lightroom, Picasa, Photoshop etc get their date and time from the Exif metadata.
When you export from iPhoto to the Finder new file is created containing your Photo (and its Exif). The File date is - quite accurately - reported as the date of Export. However, the Photo Date doesn't change.
The problem is that the Finder doesn't work with Exif.
So, your photo has the correct date, and so does the file, but they are different things. To sort on the Photo date you'll need to use a photo app.

  • Different creation dates on different computers

I downloaded the same photos from the same camera on the same day to my home and office computers, both into iPhoto. At home, the creation date is correct, but at work the date is wrong in every way including the year. I checked the system time and date, and that is correct. I ran TechTools pro, and found that there were other files with wrong modificatin dates, but otherwise no problems were detected. (the vast majority of file dates on my computer are correct.) We have two cameras at work, different Olympus models, and I have the same creation date problem with both of them when I download to my work computer, so I have to conclude that there is something wrong with this computer, but I can't for the life of me figure out what.

    Cindy:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Are both computers running the same system and iPhoto versions? Are the date formats set the same on the two computers. They are set in the International pane?
First run Disk Utility and repair disk permissions. I doubt if that will do it but it's certainly won't hurt.
If you manually upload from the camera to the office computer before importing into iPhoto are the dates OK? Also try logging into another account on your office computer an trying an import into iPhoto from there. If it does import correctly then there's an issues with your primary account. It could be a bad or corrupt preference file other than iPhoto's. You can run Preferential Treatment (at VersionTracker.com) to find any obvious damaged files. Here's a method another user developed to look for incompatabilites:
    Trouble Shooting Preferences
Go to HD/Users/Your_name/Library. Move the Prefs folder (in its entirety) to the desktop. Start iPhoto. Determine if problem is fixed.
If the problem IS fixed, then go to the new Prefs folder that the OS will have created and open it up. Except for those items that are obviously not related, move the contents to the old Prefs folder on the desktop, replacing what had been there. When in doubt, move the item. The worst thing that can happen is a harmless "alert" message. Then, trash what remains of the new folder. Finally, move the old (but modified) Prefs folder back to the library.
If the problem is NOT fixed, trash the new Prefs folder and move the old one back to its original location.
If none of the preveious works, a reinstall of the the combo updater that represents the latest system version on that computer might help. Follow up that reinstall with a permissions repair. Good luck.

  • Delivery creation date field in STO

    Friends,
I have created 2 STO's ...for 1st STO i can see the delivery creation date in Shipping tab......however for 2nd STO shipping tab is there but  the delivery creation date field is blank...
what could be the reason...how this gets calculated ?
    Regards,
    Vijay

    Hi,
Whenever you create a STO and save it, the delivery creation date is
determined based on the delivery date and planned delivery time.
    (Note 498143 question 2)
And if certain STOs are subjected to release strategy, the delivery
creation date is not populated for those STOs. Once the STOs are
released you will have the delivery creation date populated correctly.
    regrads,
    Lalita
