Video_dxgkrnl_fatal_error bluescreen at startup of laptop, please help.

Hi,
I've recently upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and since then my laptop (Dell Inspiron 17R) shuts down whenever I snap shut him. Every time I open the laptop there's about a 50% chance he first starts with showing a blue screen error saying: video_dxgkrnl_fatal_error.
I have searched a bit on this error and all I got were suggestions to update my video drivers, so I did. They're up to date and I still get this error message every now and then on startup.

first, if your graphic card not listed at Dell site, you should contact Dell or graphic card manufactured to get the correct driver
if you suspected your laptop cant read your graphic card, try to update your chipset

this is more to driver and HW related issue, you should contact Dell or your graphic manufactured to assist you regarding graphic issue

  • Web Camera doesn't work on my Lenovo G570 laptop, Please Help?

    Well I recently bought a lenovo G570 laptop. The webcam worked fine for the first month. I don't really know when the camera stopped working but it seems that every software that uses a camera can detect the camera but when the video window pops up it is just plain white. I know the reason isn't because of the hot key FN+ESC because it works fine, I can disable and enable the camera. I read many threads with the same problem. I uninstalled and re-installed the drivers and easy capture but it does not solve my problem. Can someone please help?

    As I  understand the camera is not working.
    If the camera is getting activate by Fn+Esc key then it could be driver issue.
    You need to uninstall the camera software and other relates software.
    Update the BIOS and then install the camera drier
    Download the BIOS update for Windows 7 32bit from the mentioned below web link.

    See if running the installation application "as Administrator" helps.
    It could be windows securtiy keeping the installation from configuring anything.

    I've been having issues syncing my laptop and mobile me. I get the response that there are conflicting issues on my computer, which it's requiring me to resolve and then reset. I've made sure my system is up to date and I've even gone to the extent of erasing my ical on my computer so that I can reset my ical from the info located on the internet. But I'm still getting the message that I have conflicting issues. Which I don't understand because my ical on my computer is empty! I'm getting frustrated. Please help.

    Questions for you:
    So when you reset the sync data from MobileMe down to the computer, iCal remained blank and did not receive the calendars that are online, is that correct?
    Did you sign up for the MobileMe Calendar Beta?
    If you are NOT using the MobileMe Calendar Beta:
    __Create a new user account on the Mac: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/8235.html
    __Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > MobileMe and sign in with your name and password
    __Click on the Sync tab
    __Check off Synchronize with MobileMe.
    __Check off "Calendars" in the list of items to sync
    __Click on Advanced.
    __Click on the reset sync data button.
    __Click on the arrow to go from MobileMe cloud down to the computer
    __Click replace.
    __Launch iCal and check to see if the calendar data that is on MobileMe is now in iCal.
    __If the calendars do show up in iCal here:
    __Go to File > Export > iCal Archive and save the file to desktop
    __Take the resulting ICBU file and put it in Macintosh HD > Users > Shared
    __Log into the main user account
    __Go to Macintosh HD > Users > Shared and drag the ICBU file to the desktop
    __Double-click the file and it will restore all the calendars into iCal
    __If the calendars now show up in iCal back in the main user try syncing with MobileMe

    I droped my laptop from a height of a feet it is working perfect but the problem lies when i am moving my laptop. if i am keeping my laptop nd if it gets even a minute shock, it gets off. Even when i am giving a small knock near the mouse pad it gets off. please help me with a reply.

    It can be lose connection between motherboard and ur AC , basicly without dissassembling laptop it will be very difficult to diagnose problem.

  • Logic Crashing on startup!! Please Help!!

    I have just installed Logic 9 on my intel mac. I have a digi 003 interface. When I go to start, Logic crashes and reports that it's a DIGIDESIGN CORE AUDIO problem. This is NOT the melodyne/rewire issue. I don't have Melodyne at all. This is something else. Would love some thoughts. It's a thread 15 crash. PLEASE HELP!!!

    If you move it to the desktop, does Logic still crash?

  • Looking for a new laptop, please help

    I am looking into purchasing a new laptop in the next couple weeks in the $700 price range and am wondering what the best options are. I have basically narrowed it down to the Toshiba P745-S4217 and Asus U46E-BAL5. But I also like the sony VPCEG16FM/W and Toshiba R835-P70. Which one is the best bange for the buck? I want something that is fast and not to loud or overheat. I like having good speakers and something that is fast. I know the Toshiba R835-P70 is only 4GB RAM but is it that much slower then the ASUS U46E-BAL5 8GB? I dont do any gaming so that doesnt matter, will just use for school and surfing the web so want something that is fast and built to last a few years. If they are all pretty similar I am thinking the Toshiba P745-S4217 is probably best option due to speakers and blu ray. Finally, besides what is already listed on your site, are there any major differences or things I should know about the four computers I have listed. Thank you for your time and help. Feel free to offer any other suggestions for laptops as well.

    No one can answer this for you.  You will get lots of opinions, but you have to decide which of those laptops is right for you.  You'll have to compare keyboards, screens, what software is loaded on it, etc. 
    Now, for my opinion (remember, you'll get lots of those):  Stay as far away as you can from Sony computers.  They are overpriced, and they have terrible build wuality.  Toshiba has been going downhill the last two or three years, but not as badly as Sony.  Asus products are pretty good, I would not hesitate to recommend them.  THey have been making motherboards for a long time.
    Any computer in your price range will easily handle the tasks you stated.  "Fast" is a relative term, and when comparing, the figures are pretty much meaningless .  Another reason to do a hands on comparison in the store.
    If a single model in your price range has a lot fo features that the others do not have, then be very wary...that usually means sub-par components used just to get better specs.

  • Printer won't connect to laptop - Please help asap!

    I've connected my printer to the internet, done all the steps that the useless desktop dr or whatever it's called has told me to do, (including uninstalling/reinstalling various different things, restarted printer and laptop, turned router on and off etc) and it still won't connect!  
    I've got my final deadline in a week and I honestly have no idea what to do anymore, and since I can't actually find anywhere to contact HP on here, I'm begging anyone for some help?  
    I've set it as default, it's printing "test pages" with no problems, it just will not connect to the laptop (Dell, Windows).

    Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
    *Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

    Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
    (Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
    If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
