Video failing to verify and not embed
Hi,
I am creating an InDesign file with a video that I plan to have stream through the pdf. I have done this successfully with a test video. However, when I try to do "Movie from URL" from this address:
http://davebarrondesign.com/dev/ONE.mp4
I get a notice that states the movie failed to embed because the URL cannot be verified. The last movie I did this with was on the same server.
I am using InDesign 8.0.1.

There are a few levels of compression/image reduction that occur when uploading from the iphone.
You will see better results if you import the HD video to your computer, then upload it to youtube over a fast internet connection.

How Do I Sort Videos By Episode/Season and Not Name?
I commented on an older thread (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=12379142#12379142) but think that this topic might deserve its own.
I am kind of frustrated that I have uploaded two TV series to my iPad and the video player is showing the videos sorted by episode name alphabetically. This is pretty dumb, since I want to watch the episodes in the order they were released and not the arbitrary order of their alphabetical sorting.
I have tried assigning season numbers, episode numbers, track numbers, release dates, all kinds of stuff. Nothing seems to change the iPad video app's alphabetical sort.
Can anyone show me where I am going wrong?
ScottI just opened up iTunes while my iPad is connected to see what options are available for ordering the movies on the iPad directly. The video sync page that you refer to shows the movie icons in a grid format with a checkbox to determine if they should be synced with the device. The icons cannot be moved.
I have tried playing with the order and tags of the movies in the iTunes LIBRARY->Movies list but nothing I do there to the movies' info (or display, obviously) has any effect on how the iPad's video app sorts the movies.

Ive tried to connect to the school wi-fi before, and it failed. now i just got given the password and i can't even connect to it, because it won't give me the enter password option. And i can't even forget the network because its not saved on my mac!
So now whenever im at school, it will try and attempt to connect to the school wifi, but always fail due to an issue? and i don't have the option to re-enter password! Even tho the network isnt saved on my macbook!
PLEASE HELP!Nyxaelia, you can create a new Location in the Network System Prefs where you could have one setup for school and one setup for home. When you have more than one Location in Network, you will get a Locations menu in the Apple Menu where you can switch easily between the two.
On the Location popup menu, select Edit Locations. Select Automatic, then select Duplicate Location from the gear menu button. Rename each one for the specific location, and set each one up as required. -
Time Capsule Video Stuttering in OSX and not Windows Vista/7

I have a MacBook 1.6 GHz D-core. I store all my video content on my Time Capsule, 500GB. Whenever I try to stream a video over the network, via TC, it stutters. Whether that be SD or HD content.
When I try to stream the same content on Vista or Windows 7 I have zero problems.
The suttering happends about every 15 seconds and seems like it skips a frame or two. The audio cuts out as well but it's less than a second long and the video goes back to normal. It wouldn't be a big issue however it happends about 3-4 times a minute and I find it annoying.
I'm not sure why I have no issues on Vista/7 but have problems with OSX. Any advice?

How do I know I am using my video credits on iTunes and not money from my account?
I was given 2 video credits for another iTunes inconvience but was not told how to use the video credits when buying my items. If anyone knows how to use the credits before the money on the account I would appreciate it.
Just buy a video and the credits will be used. Generally speaking video credits will be for the particular type of video you had trouble with and usually don't apply to movie purchases.

Why have my videos switched from playing no problem at all to not playing and the iCloud is the "play" button?
No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that. -
Video works one day and not the next...same person; same computers....HELP!

Okay, I was (video) chatting yesterday with someone (had no problems) and today the video won't work. It's happened before, nothing has changed between yesterday and today. Same users; same computers. It's incredibly frustrating. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. I've been trying everything; opening ports, adjusting quicktime streaming preferences...everything discussed in other posts in this forum regarding error -8.
I really hate iChat...I think it's unbeliveble that Apple claims to be so better that Windows, but I never had problems wits MSN video.
But let's try to solve this irritating issue. What kind of messenging software do you have instaled/open when you try to use iChat?
I have Skype installed. When I deinstalled it, everything was working fine (so I thought). Next day the same BS all over again.
I could use skype to videochat, but I have an .mac account and I want to use iChat...the f&^%$*g .mac account is to expensive not to use...And do not forget that iChat AV quality is way better than Skype.
I really hope Apple comes with a solution soon.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I understand that all of your iTunes media is on an external hard drive and you would like to move that media onto your new Windows computer hard drive. Why does my video clip look faded and not work on my timeline?
I am making a simple short movie on my timeline. In fact, I already made it.
However, when I added a credits sequence (which used to look fine and worked normally), I ran into a problem.
Now, on my timeline, the little purple box that indicates the credis sequence is a little faded. Also, the text in the credits is inexplicably invisible, and can't be modified to any form of invisibilty.
How did I manage to create this mess, and how do I get my credits to look normal again?
-Jason LunaCould it be that you disabled the scrolling title( I assume that is what you mean when you say "Credit sequence"). Hitting the V key when a clip/title is selected will disable it. Select it and hit V and see if it fixes your problem. If it is disabled you won't see the text.

Iphone 5 "sync failed to start" and music +v videos failing to open
my iphone 5 (ios 7.1.2) will not sync i keep on getting the error message "could not be synced because the sync session failed to start"
I've tried soft resets multiple times and nothing seems to work
I've also been having other problems with my phone, music and videos fail to open and spotlight search doesn't work and I'm unable to acess them in settings.
Any way to solve these issues??

YYou have to describe your issue in more detail. Are you using iTunes? Trying to see it in Apple TV, etc, etc.

Why does my video fail to show all of my footage?
I rendered my video and it appeared to be fine until a couple of points in the video present a completely green screen instead of the actual video footage from project.

I have tried rendering it again in a new composition but the same problem occurs.
I have produced several videos using this program and not had any issues until now.
The video that I imported into After Effects plays back without any evidence of the green blank so I don't think it's an issue with that file.
I did reproduce that file though and nothing changed.I'm having a similar problem when importing an XDCAM EX1 movie file (exported from Final Cut) into CS5.
I may just export it to a different codec for the time being, but I worked with EX1 footage in CS4 without ever coming across this problem. Is there a specific update or codec that I need to download?
