Video files produced with E90 doesn't play on oth...

Hi all, the video file produce with my E90 communicator is not compatible with my other Nokia phone model's RealPlayer, can someone please tell me what exactly is the video format of E90?
Do I need to install a codes in order to play on other Nokia phone models? I assume it was Mpeg4.

First, try going to store at the top of itunes and check for purchases. Just to make sure that the movie was finished downloading.
If the video did not download correctly, then the only way to fix it is to download it again.
In your account screen in the itunes store, there is a purchase history section. In this section, you can report problems with music, movies or anything that you have downloaded.
Try using the purchase history section to report a problem and let the itunes store support that an error keeps coming up that the movie did not down load correctly

    Detail:
I've recently purchaced a 4TB Thunderbolt drive to store my "vast" music and photo libraries. iPhoto had an issue reading the moved library, so I bought and used iPhoto Library Manager to "rebuild" it. Apart from much of the original data such as date taken & camera used etc, it appears to be working well. The aforementioned mpg video was taken some 9 years ago, using an early model "iMate" smart phone, and opens and plays fine on iPhoto, but I cannot open it with anything else, (I've tried iMovie, VLC players, Wondershare and Handbrake) nor can I share it. I just want to edit it, and share it with family.
    Any help would be appreciated...

No - not iMovie, VLC, Wondershare or Handbrake... Quick time starts with a "CONVERTING", then I get
I've looked at the "tell me more" links, tried downloading some of the movie players there. I'm begining to think the file is corrupt.
Thanks for getting back to me again though - appreciate it...

How do i remove the exif metadata from my jpg file produced with a digital camera photo?

The excellent and free utility Irfanview has the option to remove the EXIF data.
Simply open and the file and do a Save, or Save As with the original name.
Surprisingly, the default is to not keep the original EXIF data.

  • Joining Video Files together with MiniME

I'm trying to solve the problem of joining together two video files, and came across this jar:
    http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/jmf/2.1.1/solutions/MiniME.html
I've extracted the source files, and now I'm trying to run MiniME as per the instructions, but with no success.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to do it without using the GUI but the source isn't so simple and isn't commented at all - that aside, I'd just like to get it to work so that I can succesfully join video files in java!
Can anybody help me out here?
    Cheers,
    James

Just because you put 2 files in the same file doesn't mean some application can understand that it's 2 files in 1. Meaning, the player of the merged WMV can't know that there's 2 files and that it should play both back to back. You have to read the WMV files knowing the WMV format and then generate 1 file that combines the 2, which typically would include updating header information in the file. Java's I/O classes are not going to provide that sort of thing for you.

  • Video files exported with QuickTime Pro 7.2 can't be transferred to iPod

If I use the default Export to iPod export choice in QuickTime Pro 7.2 to export video files and add them to my iTunes 7.3 library, when I try to sync them to my 5th generation iPod with video (November, 2005), I just get the "can't be played on this iPod" message. I can create, transfer, and play video files on my iPod if I create them a different way (by using iSquint, ffmpegX, or No Frills DVD2iPod, for example). Exporting to mpeg4 using h.264 results in the same problem, even though I've used settings I know worked before. The export to iPod export choice does not offer any customization of settings. Although this problem is new, I can't be sure the immediately previous version of QuickTime Pro didn't also have the problem, but I know I have successfully used QuickTime 7 to create videos that could be transferred and played on my iPod in the past. How can I use QuickTime Pro 7.2 to create video files that will be compatible with my iPod? Thanks.
      Mac OS X (10.4.10)

I can also verify this (QT Pro 7.2 exporting to .mp4 not compatible
with video iPod [firmware 1.2.1 on both 5G/5.5G units]).
This results in the unusual situation where custom H.264 output
is operable on the iPhone but not the iPod.
    Example: your iPhone should play
    http://homepage.mac.com/retiarius/sample.elements.mp4
but it won't transfer to a video iPod.
Yes, the workaround is to 'export for iPod' or do the conversion
within 'iTunes', but this in many circumstances will generate
    larger files.
The closest description of this situation is:
    http://lists.mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/ffmpeg-devel/2006-September/015930.html
Perhaps Apple will release a video iPod firmware update soon
to get the 'uuid' atoms and whatever watermarking they are
    using these days straightened out.
I'm surprised this hasn't been noticed more by video podcasters
who dutifully use Apple's own QT Pro encoding tool to optimize
filesizes via the tunable H.264/.mp4 codec settings.

  • Video files captured with FCP 7 appear to be text files in the finder!

I've recently updated to FCP Studio 3 and am having a strange problem with HDV video that I have captured. The video shows up in the browser and plays in the timeline just fine, but I am unable to send any footage to Motion. I get an error saying that the file is missing. I cant even import directly from within Motion because the video files aren't even visible to the program! I am also unable to use any of the video files in drop zones in Master Templates in FCP. If I navigate to my footage in the finder, the files appear as text files. Yet if i double click on one, it opens in Quicktime and plays. This happens whether I capture video with the apple intermediate codec or any of the new Pro Res codecs.
I should mention that I had no problems before i updated. Help!
    Jerry

    See this link:http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2108336&tstart=90
Another work around: after capturing in Pro Res, when you look at your clips in the browser, when you label them add .mov to the end of the label. Then modify>rename>file to match clip. This will convert file on your scratch disc from tesxt file to .mov QT file which you can then use in other applications.

  • How to convert video files on an SD card to play in iMovie

I am completely stumped! New to Macs, so assume a really basic level of knowledge!
A videographer gave me an SD card that breaks down into a folder called DCIM and a folder called Private, which breaks into JVC>BPAV>CLPR, TAKR, and a a few random files. Inside of CLPR there are numbered files, and inside each of those are MP4 video files. These MP4s can't open in anything but VLC. Quicktime doesn't recognize them. When I open then in iMovie, I get green screen with no audio.
Does anyone know how I open this/convert this so I can edit it in iMovie?

    insert card in our card-slot/reader
    in iMovie select Import
    no step 3...
.. any 'manual' conversion is not just redundant, no 'conversion' needed, but in most cases doesn't deliver the wanted results.
may I suggest to read the Manual?

  • Video clips in iPhone 4s doesn't play well

Recently the video clips including video camera and any clips in Facebook in my iPhone 4s doesn't play well. Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas to solve it?

Basics from the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.  If you've tried ALL of those steps and you're still having problems, you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.

  • Exporting Video w/ Sound From Premiere Doesn't Play Correctly in After Effects.

I export a video from Premiere with sound and Import it into After Effects, however the sound seems to be sped up and glitching. The wave form is compressed and shows that the sound does not play for the actual duration of the video?

We can't know. You have neither provided any exact export settings nor any other useful info like system info, versions, audio hardware prefs and so on.

  • SWF Video file made with AVS

I have a videofile given to me from the client as a SWF, they
have used AVS software to convert.
I load the SWF file in using MovieClipLoader, it plays ok,
however, I can't seem to control it. I need to know when the clip
is finished, and for it to stop looping. I also want to be able to
stop it when the video is clicked.
Has anyone had experience of this type of Video file? I would
    appreciate any response,
    Thanks,
    L.

Well, if you are weighing things against WMP, it could be that PrE could have done something differently.
Now, I am not a fan of WMP, and am REALLY not a fan of RealMedia Player. I liken that latter one to a Trojan, waiting to happen. I last had a version installed about 12 years ago, and would never let another copy near any of my computers.
Besides the two that I mentioned, GOM Player gets high marks, as well.
    Good luck,

  • Can video files made with a Canon XA-10 be imported into FCPX?

Files made with a Canon XA-10 do not seem to be recognized by FCPX.
Recording system of camcorder is  MPEG-4 AVC/H.264.
Is there a format problem or a media conversion that needs to be made?
    Thank you.
    John

Tom is exactly right.  Connect the XA10 to the computer using the USB cable that came with it.  Then go File > Import from Camera.
Up will pop the import from camera window, which should show two cameras -- your Mac's built-in iSight camera, as well as your XA-10.  And you should see the thumbnails from all the various videos you've shot with the camera.  Just select the ones you want to import and click Import.
FCPX will begin importing (and transcoding) the videos.  Do not disconnect the camera while this process is unfolding (it may take a while depending on how many videos and how long the videos are).

  • New video file opens with weird amplified sounds!

    Hi there!
So I need to do some audio edit on a video file and when I opened that particular file in Soundbooth and hit play, the sound got all loud, amplified and weird. The video file audio works perfectly on all the media players I tried. Also, other video files sounds as it would in Soundbooth. I hope someone can help me in resolving this. Do remember, it's only weird for just this one video.
    Thanks

had the same thing happen to me this morning, then went searching through my computers internal files to see if i could find anything possibly hiding from me

  • Media played with Quicktime doesn't play! Help please!!

I recently got a new iPod nano, and had to update my iTunes. Since I've done this, Quicktime hasn't been functioning properly. The sound (of a trailer, movie, etc) will play, but the media window doesn't play the picture; instead the window is just green. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling several times, each without results.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I had the same problem 4x. They did a clean and install and an archive and install to no avail. Here is the solution. The genius bar went on to the discussion board and found the solution. Ready; go to hard drive then /Library/Internet Plug-ins/Quicktime Plugin.webplugin. Delete last Quicktime plugin.webplugin. Let me know . peace

  • My video files are .mov but won't play in QuickTime 7 - says it doesn't recognize them. Any suggestions?

Can someone help? I am using windows 7

Your file is likely using MPEG-2 compression and this free software could open it:
