Video for BB Curve 8310

I need some help!  I work for an AT&T retail store.  I have a customer that has the Curve 8310.  She is unable to view videos on You Tube or CNN type pages.  She can receive a video via MMS but as far as viewing them on a webpage, cant do it.  I also tried it with my Curve 8310 and could log onto You Tube and pull up a video but could not watch it.  Is this something to do with the fact that AT&T does not support this level of access?  Does anyone have AT&T that could help me out??  Thanks so much!

To watch streaming video from such as YouTube.com, you will need to have OS 4.5 loaded on your BlackBerry. That will enable live video ability.
and then, you will use the mobile site, "m.youtube.com"
Good luck.

  • Video on Blackberry Curve 8310

    Hello
I have a Blackberry Curve 8310 and I am unsure if I can take video films with it. Can anyone please tell me what I can do to make it work.

Hi pipspur! As I've mentioned you can have video capturing in your 8310 once you've device OS 4.5. You can have new OS once your carrier accepts the new OS officially from RIM. Though some other carriers OS can be installed but I will request you to wait till itsenabled for your carrier.
Hi Rukus372! just to let you know all of my device like pearl 8100 can also have video capturing capability as that is running os OS 4.5. In BlackBerry its OS which can add capabilties that you may not have at this moment.
important thing as cadillacdavilla mentioned having media card is must to capture video in BlackBerry.

  • Car cradle for Blackberry Curve 8310?

I have what may be kind of a silly question, but I'd love to find an answer. I have a Blackberry Curve 8310 that I LOVE and I just downloaded Telenav GPS for it. It works great, but I was wondering if there is some kind of cradle for my Blackberry that I can purchase so I can put it on my dash making it easier to see while driving?
    Thanks so much!!
    Sarah

I have the vent mount and love it. It is adjustable for different sizes. I had the 7290, 8700 and now the 8310 and it fits all of them good.

    Thanks for your help.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
To completely uninstall Roxio from your system: Roxo knowledgebase:

  • Memory Card for BB Curve 8310

I just got a Curve 8310.  The max expandable memory stated is 4gb through a micro sd.  I am wondering if this is the same as a 4gb micro sdhc?  I've found a lot of conflicting thoughts on this and I thought I would try to clarify it here.

Yes, both a microSD and SDHC are compatible with a BlackBerry. The SDHC is just a newer format that can hold higher capacities than microSD card

  • My Blackberry Curve 8310 has no video recorder on it

I there a way to upgrade my phone so I can have a capable video recorder to record videos?

That's odd... I have AT&T and a Curve 8310; it has both a video and audio recorder built into it.  I could not access my video recorder until I bought and inserted a microSD card into the Curve.  The video camera's recordings take up a lot of memory compared to the camera, and if you don't have a memory card installed, this could be your problem.
If you do have a memory card with space on it, it's possible that the video recorder icon was accidentally hidden from view on the Home screen.  While in the Home screen, press the Menu button (to the left of the trackball) and make sure "Show All" is checked.  This will show you all icons, even the hidden ones; see if you can find the video camera icon among your list of icons.
FYI - You can also access the video recorder through the "Camera" icon.  Click on the Camera icon, then once the screen switches to camera viewfinder, click on the Menu button (left of the trackball) and select "Video camera."  This will then give you recording access to the video feature if your device has memory.

  • BB Desktop Software 4.5/Handheld OS 4.5 for AT&T Curve 8310

Does anyone have a BB Curve 8310 with AT&T and has been successfully able to upgrade to the desktop 4.5 and the O.S. 4.5 for the handheld? Is it possible?

If you downlaoded the V4.5 from another company's website, you will need to delete the vendor.xml file before you can install it. Keep in mind, that that version, if its not released from your carrier may cause issues with your clackberry, including from what I have read make your Blackberry a paperweight and/or fry your sim card. IE, it may void the warranty on your Blackberry since its not tested on your carriers service.
If your carrier does have it available, most carriers will have instructions on how to downlaod and update your Blackberry on their website.

  • Dreaded 0x3b21 synching error with Curve 8310 DM 4.7 on XP pro 3

No joy with DM 4.6 of DM 4.7 (4.7 by the way hangs on "registering modules" during install like 4.6 did as well!)
    Here's the video:

(I've got lots more like that one for 4.6, the DM is rife with problems IMHO)

I am not alone in this struggle so I hope some will profit from the demo above.
I have had NO SUCCESS in synching my curve for over two weeks... (I'm looking a lot more at Android and Iphone now).
That said, I need those in the know to decipher this cryptic message. Actually, I need a fix. Let the someone else decipher this and tell me the fix or the workaround.

I had the same error occur with DM 4.6 with my Curve 8310. I had the syncing work at the beginning but it stopped working shortly after. Once I did the debug log, I found the same error 0x80040107 at .\OlkFolders.cpp. So I decided to create a new Outlook profile and switched DM to use that instead and all is good again! Just so you know, I could not even edit the Synchronization Configuration without seeing the error.
I just got the phone recently so I guess while I was trying to figure out the configuration I had made a change somewhere either in Outlook or DM and that caused the errors to occur. Uninstalling DM and deleting all of the settings was a complete waste of time.
Creating a new Outlook profile seems to be the fix for me to. And like yourself, uninstalling was a waste of time. Furthermore, I had no joy with editing the Synchronization Configuration without seeing the error.

  • Curve 8310 Calendar will not Sync at all

The calendar of my curve 8310 will no longer sync though I've had no problem before.  I have Outlook 2002 and Desktop Software 4.6 and sync using the USB cable for wired synchronization.  When the DS progress windows display during sync the sections now move from contacts>tasks>notes.  The calendar section is omitted entirely.  I uninstalled Desktop Software then reinstalled it but the same problem continues.  I have checked the Desktop Software set up and verified that a two way sync of calendar is included.  I've been working on this all weekend and am totally frustrated!  I hope someone can help!

"What is 6 of 16 that is locking up, I don't believe it is datebook and if that is the case you can disable that conduit temporarily so you can sync your datebook over, if it is datebook, then I would try a program called dbfixit you can get it from www.pimlicosoftware.com I don't know about dbscan and how well it is, but I find dbfixit to be a wonderful tool to find any corruption. "
Well, I don't know.  I am assuming it is 6 of 16 files that need to be synced.  I'm just telling you what the hotsync window says at the point that it locks up.
How do I disable the conduit and still have the datebook sync?  If it's disabled, how would it sync at all?  I have set the datebook to "do nothing" and the other applications sync just fine, but not datebook.
I will try the dbfixit as long as you can assure me it won't erase data.  Thank you

  • Curve 8310 fails to read microSD card

    Greetings,
I bought a Blackberry Curve 8310 last summer and it worked fine until November of last year when the phone failed to read my Micro SD media card. Thinking the media card was the problem, I have bought a new media card a few months ago to try fixing the problem. The problem still persists and I need help getting this fixed.
I currently use Blackberry 4.5 Device OS. Under Options in the phone's menu:
    Media card support: on
    Encryption mode: none
    Mass storage mode support: on
Auto enable MSM when connected: Yes
    Total space: 1.8 GB
    Free Space: 1.4 GB.
This means the phone knows I have a media card but just cannot read it. For pictures, only the pictures I saved onto the microSD card using my computer can be seen, but pictures I took using the phone doesn't show up. When taking pictures, the camera indicates "File system out of resources". For music, all the music is visible, but when trying to play the songs, it doesn't do anything.
I have tried everything from turning off/on the phone, removing the battery to do a hard reset, not downloading any applications to see if they were the cause, and formatting the media card for blackberry use. I have even reformatted the phone 5 to 6 times and installed a clean new OS onto the phone and the problem is still there. The only short-term solution I found in fixing this problem is when using the Desktop Manager to backup my data on the phone. After backing up the data, the phone will recognize my media card and I can access it fine for about 2 to 3 days. Then the phone fails again and I have to keep backing up my data to get my phone to work. Now I am very tired of repeating this process. Either I get a long-term solution or I need a new phone (I believe I still have warrenty).
The phone is great but this problem is getting on my nerves. Someone please help me!
