Video format 3gp

hi guys,
i installed om my N70 the flash lite 2.1 file
(flashlite2_1_symbian_s60V2_FP2.SIS) who is the one recommanded for
N70.
Trying tu run embeded or not embeded video 3gp format doesn't
work at all.
I have a good sound but the images seems not well decoded and
i get the screen but image is scrambled.
Also the video is not in good place in the screen and seems
stretch.
All is working perfect with the emulator. i don't undertand!!
Any idea please??

I've had the same problem regarding video through FL 2,1 in
the N70. If you are the owner of the actual video file, my
suggestion is to recode it through QuickTime. If you get QuickTime
Pro, there is several choices of encoding 3gp and it is possible to
make them hinted for streaming as well. But for streaming you need
a streaming server.
I was able to get the video's working taking this approach,
it was worth getting QT Pro, not that expensive, which is good.
However, I have not have any problems with videos with my N73 or
testing on the Nokia 6680.
The emulator uses the codecs / encoding of your computer, so
all videos your computer can play, your Flash Lite emulator can
play, as long as the format is supported by Flash.
If you are really good at compiling and using an command line
you could also try to encode the videos using FFMPEG. Don't know if
this was much help, but it might spread some light over the
issue.

  • Video formats allowed for f4fpackager

    I'm facing issues with using f4fpackager for different video formats.
    With mp4 file - which plays in a flash player properly - I get only one segment, and a f4m file without bootstrap info.  This f4m file dosen't plays and I get stream not found.
    ./f4fpackager --input-file=400.mp4 --bitrate=400 --output-path=abrsample
    Here is how the f4m looks like

    I tried using the f4fpackager with flv files, but getting an error there too.
    $ ./f4fpackager --input-file=sample.flv  --bitrate=400 --output-path=flvsample
    Error 14: Error when reading the FLV
    Is there any particular video format specification which is recommended to be used with f4fpackager?

    No the sample isn't same as FMS.
    I'm able to fragment a video using another mp4 video. (Open source video downloaded from elephants dream site.)
    But many others which I've tried, which are also mp4 videos, and which play well in flash player - are getting stuck. The generated f4m file segment I've already pasted above.
    FLV files so far I've tried, are also not working. I get Error 14, Error when reading the FLV - So seems like again some format issue. I again can play this flv file directly from a flash player.

  • How do I save a slideshow made in iDVD to a different video format.

    How can I convert a slideshow made in iDVD to one of these video formats: 3g2, 3gp, 3gp2, 3gpp, 3p, asf, avi, divx, dv, dvx, flv, moov, mov, mp4, mpeg4, mpg4, mpe, mpeg, mpg, qt, wmv, xvid so I can download into photobucket.
    Thanks!

    Did you start your slideshow in iMovie? I do....from there I send it to iDVD, but if I want to do something else with it, before I send it to iDVD, I simply export it from iMovie. That creates a .mov.
    If you have the Video TS folder that is on a DVD, Streamclip can extract it. Another option is to use Quicktime Pro to convert your .mov to whatever.....if you want WMV, use the studio version of Flip4Mac.

  • Lumia 620 video format - Panasonic TV

    I had previously had problems with DLNA streamiing - http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Nokia-Lumia/Lumia-620-quot-Play-To-quot-app/td-p/1772318http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Nokia-Lumia/Lumia-620-quot-Play-To-quot-app/td-p/1772318 and have now been in discussion with Panasonic.
    They seem to be claiming the Nokia Video format is not compatibile with their TV sets ( well mine anyway, a TX-L37DT30B ).
    The Panasonic manual seems to say it can handle MP4 files of type H.264 BP/MP/HP with AAC/MP3 audio.
    The Nokia web site for the 620 says "Video recording formats: MP4/H.264" and "Audio recording file formats: 3GP, 3G2"
    The Panasonics DLNA "file manager" can see the video and reports it as 1280x720p MP4 file, but it stutters badly when played back via the 'Play To' Beta app.
    So the questions basically are:
    Am I missing something,
    Are these video/Audio formats compatibile?
    And more importantly, should the Lumia 620 be able to play back video on a Panasonic TV? (Any other panasonic users out there).
    Thank you

    Beta forum - that will have to wait then. I've had two attempts to post to it (from different browsers) and both failed. After pressing <submit> to make the post it gives a message "server unavailable" (or some such nonsense).
    I tried to post:
    I'm trying to stream Lumia 620 video to a panasonic TV using DLNA via a BT Home Hub 2B. The phone connects wirelessly to the router, and the TV connects via powerline Eth adapters to the router.
    Whilst I can connect and see photos on the TV, video is just a stuttering slide show.
    I originally posted here - http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Nokia-Lumia/Lumia-620-video-format-Panasonic-TV/td-p/1810002 and was advised to post on the Beta discussion as well.
    The video stutters when played by DLNA, but the same video transferred to an SD card via a PC, plays OK in the TV.
    I've been on touch with Panasonic and they seem to be blaming the phones video format for not playing in the media server, yet their brochure for the TV claims it can play 720p MP4 videos.
    Any ideas?
    Should the Lumia be able to stream its own videos to a Panasonic TV?
    Thank you.

  • Playback Video (format 3GPP) on j2me midp 2.0

    Hi all,
    By now all recent mobile phone should playback many video type included le format 3GP.
    But I can't playback any Video from J2me midp 2.0 API.
    Are there someone here who know a solution independent of device to playback video on j2me midp platform ?
    Thank you,
    Tien
    (www.tranthuong.com)

    Something like this:
    private void playFile( String filename ) {
      try
        InputStream is = getClass().getResourceAsStream(filename);
        m_player = Manager.createPlayer(is, "video/3gpp");
        m_player.prefetch();
        m_player.start();
      catch (Exception ex)
        System.out.println(ex.toString());
    } Also in MIDP 2 check VolumeControl
    If your mobile support JSR-135:
    try {
         Player p = Manager.createPlayer("http://abc.mpg");
         p.realize();
         VideoControl vc;
         if ((vc = (VideoControl)p.getControl("VideoControl")) != null)
             add((Component)vc.initDisplayMode(vc.USE_GUI_PRIMITIVE, null));
         p.start();
    } catch (MediaException pe) {
    } catch (IOException ioe) {
    }In this case you also can
    InputStream is = getClass().getResourceAsStream(filename);
    Player p = Manager.createPlayer(is, "video/3gpp");

  • Converting iTunes Video format?

    Somewhere on the Apple/Windows sections I've previously posted asking if anyone out there knew of any preferable free downloads available to convert a downloaded iTunes m4v video to 3gp to watch on my mobile. I have a nano, hence asking for my phone. Obviously the formats are different and its doing my head in trying to sort something out. A forum member did post a link for two lots of software but when I downloaded them they didn't deal in m4v.
    Why I'm asking for free is the fact I'll only want to use the software the odd time. Even the trial stuff is demanding registration which comes only with full stuff-no good.
    Sorry for rambling on but if anyone-please-can help I'll be very grateful
    many thanks
    Pam

    Good old iTunes -worse than Windows for self protection eh!
    It wasn't up to Apple. The content owners mandate such copy-protection and refuse to allow the ability to burn the content to DVD. Very few download movie stores allow any burning to DVD, and those that do (at least that I've found) only allow a very few specific titles to be burned. For all the rest, they can only be played on the computer or perhaps on a portable device (as with an iPod), just as with the iTunes Store.
    It's certainly a pain, but it's a fact of life that's probably not going to go away. That's partly why Apple's coming out with the AppleTV; so you can view purchased movies and videos on your TV without having to connect up your computer.
    Regards.

  • What video formats??

    Using the code below I can only play FLV video format. Is
    that correct or does Flash Script let you play other video formats?
    var my_video:Video; // my_video is a Video object on the
    Stage
    var my_nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection();
    my_nc.connect(null);
    var my_ns:NetStream = new NetStream(my_nc);
    my_video.attachVideo(my_ns);
    //my_ns.play("myVideo.mpg");
    //my_ns.play("myVideo.mov");
    //my_ns.play("myVideo.3gp");
    my_ns.play("clouds.flv");

    Yes, the Flash player will only play FLVs (and MP3s) from
    external files. You can embed MPGs and MOVs in your SWF to play, or
    you can convert them to FLV for external playback.
    Good luck!

  • Error message of "video format not supported" for ATV1 for files from iTunes

    I have an ATV first generation, I had to redo my windows profile and now ATV is not syncing all my movies from iTunes. It says that ATV does not support the video format from movies I downloaded from Itunes.

    I've had this happen with a whole bunch of files over time. Usually it's a disk timeout - it just took too long for iTunes to start streaming the file to the Apple TV. Sometimes it's that the file has been moved/deleted/'lost' as Alley_Cat describes. Sometimes I think that the file has too high a bit rate to play on the old Apple TV or the audio isn't suitable for it.

  • ITunes error message - "video format is not supported by the iPad" My video is mp4, mpeg-4.

    When syncing my iPad 2....  Why do I get this iTunes error message? "video format is not supported by the iPad"
    My video is mp4, another is mpeg-4.
    I thought the iPad 2 could play almost any format.

    Must conform to these specs:
    Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 720p, 30 frames per second, Main Profile level 3.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format
    Or download an alternate video player,such as avplayerhd.

  • Satellite U300 connected to TV - Non supported video format

    I am using Toshiba Satellite U300-15q and it has a vga output so i bought a cable and a box that transfers te analogue signal of vga to digital of hdmi so that i can connect it to my 32' TV Sony make.
    But if i connect it it says on the tv in yellow letters non supported video format.
    Why is that and how can i fix it ?

    In the whole story problem is that you use third part hardware or software so this described issue has nothing to do with your Toshiba notebook or Toshiba in general.
    On notebooks side is important that video signal is sent on proper way. What happen later and why this signal is not transformed correctly is matter of this box.
    Which box do you use?
    In my opinion you should contact manufacturer of this box and their support. They should know how it works and how to fix this.
    Generally speaking, Toshiba has nothing to do with this problem.

  • Mac Mini G4 Unsupported Video Format DVI to HDMI 42 Phillips 1080P LCD TV

    When connecting my Mac Mini G4 to my 42" Phillips 1080P LCD TV using a DVI to HDMI cable I get a message on the TV "Unsupported Video Format" message. I can connect my PowerBook G4 using the same cable and it connects great.
    One thing I have noticed is when connecting my Mini via DVI cable to my 17" LCD monitor the screen is a fated red. But using a VGA cable the screen is fine. I don't know if this is having to do anything with the issue of connecting to my LCD TV.
    Any suggestions?

    Make sure the connections are good and tighten down the thumb screws on all connectors. If two monitors are giving problems with DVI, it could be there is a hardware problem with the DVI port on the mini.
    Also, try starting in Safe mode (boot while holding down the shift key) and see if you get a useable screen in that case. If you still get the unsupported video format message, then that would further suggest some hardware problem with DVI.

    Sure, export it as an uncompressed AVI or QT file.

  • I finished making an animated .gif image in FireWorks. My question is, how do I convert it into video so that when I edit video, that every video editing program recognizes it? Long story short, How do I convert animated .gif files into video formats?

    I worked in Adobe FireWorks to make the animated .gif. What program do I use to convert the file from .gif to any video format: .mp4, .m4v, .avi, .wmv, etc. I want to convert it into video format, so that QuickTime Player plays the video, I can insert it into iMovie '11 and edit, and also insert it into Final Cut Pro X and edit video.

    Thanks for getting back with me so promptly.  It has taken me this time to connect with the proper people to find out the information you requested.
    The camera used to film the class was a Panasonic AG-HMC40P, owned by a local cable TV station; they use Kodak video encoding software, and a SD card was used to store the video.   The file extension is .mts, and the mime file is MPEG 2 transport.  He said I probably need an AVCHD converter, and the Mac app store lists 8 of those options, 4 free and 4 for up to $9.99.  He said I'll also need a converter for later plans of posting on YouTube or on the website, and while some of those in the app store might work for the later needs, he knows one app called "Compressor" that would work for the uploading later.  He also suggested I could try renaming the .mts file to .MP2T, but he wasn't sure that would work.
    They don't work with Macs at the studio, but I had thought I could have some lessons there in editing, and apply what I learned to my iMac and iMovie.
    First, though, I have to be able to see it and review it!
    Thanks again!
