Video formats compatible with iPhone

I have some video files that will sync with iPhone and some will not.
Looks like mp4 will and WMV will not. What formats will iPhone accept, and how can I change the wmv's to be compatible. Thanks.

If the video file plays in iTunes, select the video and at the menu bar go to Advanced and select Convert Selection for iPod/iPhone. This will duplicate the selection. Try selecting the converted file to be transferred to your iPhone via your iPhone sync preferences.

Video podcasts compatible with iPhone

Hello,
I've downloaded a few free video podcasts from the iTunes Store.
When I try to upload them to my iPhone, I occasionally get an error message saying that they are not compatible, so I convert them.
However, I'm wondering what, specifically, I need to look for when I download a video podcast that identifies it as being compatible or non-compatible for the iPhone. Is there anything specific that I can look at about the video podcast that will give me this information in iTunes?

Is a .VOB video format compatible with FCP

I have been sent a DVD with .VOB format which I have imported into FCP, but there is no sound.
Is this non compatible, or have I done something wrong?

when you use "open" "video TS" and select a VOB file in your DVD --pick up any one- , the program should ask whether you want to open all files ?
Do you get this message ?
if yes your DVD is probably not protected.
If you use DVDxdv, and your disk is protected, you should see green squares on the screen when you open files and get weired sound.

I routinely use my iPhone 2G, iPod, and iPhone 3G cables with each other and have no problems...however, I aquired a 3rd party cable (for it's extended length), and it prevented my from syncing my 2G iPhone. It charges both iPhones (when connected to a wall charger). I have not tried it with my 3G phone to sync.
The short answer is, Apple cables seem to work interchangeably and no problems.

Don't use EPS anymore. It has been replaced by PDF or AI with PDF compatibility. If you use PDF use either a PDF/X-4 or a PDF without flattening transparency, so you will be able to use layers in other applications.
If you need to use a file in an older version you should save it as AI file in the version you want to open it. But it can happen, when you use some effects it can cause a flattening or rasterizing of a file or parts of it. So keep ALWAYS the file in the version you have created it.

The only place to get an OtterBox for the iPhone 4 right now is from the OtterBox web site. The only model currently available for order is the Defender and the only color available is black. I have one and really like it.
